Product called Millie Moon Size 5 diapers. Chemical burn. Always used them since my son was little I saw a bit of people talking about the new diapers causing chemical burn. I was skeptical and bought a new pack from Walmart due to social media can be bias . I usually buy from [REDACTED]. My son started to develop a rash , I thought maybe if was a coincidence and wanted to give a couple days . One day my son went potty in the diaper and I went change him and he had open sores on his butt and was dripping blood from the area around his butt after going to the restroom. First time I ever had issues with this brand and has caused my son being scared to wipe his own butt . I feel terrible I should have listened to people complaining that something is wrong . I hope the brand address the complaints and issues so no more babies deal with this severe chemical burn.

I am writing this statement regarding a serious reaction my seven-month-old infant experienced while using a luxury diaper product.
My daughter developed what appeared to be a severe chemical burn in her diaper area. The irritation was not limited to a small or isolated area it extended from her vaginal area up through the diaper region and all the way to her glutes. The severity and extent of the reaction were extremely concerning as a parent.
After recognizing the reaction, we immediately discontinued use of the diaper and sought appropriate care. With the recommended medication and proper treatment, the acute reaction eventually subsided. However, the fact that the burn improved does not mean there were no lasting effects. My daughter was left with significant hyperpigmentation and scarring in the affected areas.
It has been incredibly upsetting to see an infant experience this type of injury, particularly when we trusted a product marketed as a luxury diaper and intended to be gentle enough for a babys sensitive skin. As a parent, I should not have to worry that a diaper product could result in a painful chemical-type burn extending across such a large portion of my childs skin.
Although the acute symptoms have improved, the aftermath remains visible on my daughters skin. The hyperpigmentation and scarring are a constant reminder of what she experienced. At seven months old, she cannot communicate what she is feeling or understand why this happened, so it is my responsibility as her mother to advocate for her and make sure this incident is taken seriously.
I am documenting this experience because I believe the company should be aware of the severity of the reaction and the lasting effects it has had on my infant. I hope this matter is investigated thoroughly so that other babies and families do not have to experience something similar.

We have been using Millie Moon diapers for over a year and about a month ago my daughter started screaming any time we did a diaper change and yelling ow ow. I thought it was not a big deal and she was being a toddler but then she developed a red blistering rash on her diaper area that did not respond to any diaper creams. It slowly eased up but she continues to say ow ow when a new diaper is placed on her and will occasionally throw a fit trying to take the diaper off. My 10-month-old son developed a significant skin reaction in the diaper area while wearing Millie Moon size 4 disposable diapers. The diapers were purchased from Target on September 1, 2026. The reaction consisted of red, raised, blistery inflamed and open skin areas on his buttocks and upper leg/hip area. The affected skin appeared irritated and shiny. I initially believed this was a diaper rash but this was more alarming than a traditional diaper rash. After learning about other consumer reports describing severe skin reactions associated with Millie Moon diapers, I became concerned that the diapers may have caused or contributed to my sons reaction. I have photographs documenting the reaction. I am submitting this report because I am concerned that the product may present a risk of skin injury to other children this happened within minutes of putting the diapers on my son screamed and screamed and when I open the diaper that is when I seen the affected area on his buttocks

I saw a 11 month old female in my Family Medicine clinic for severe genital / perineal rash. Mom reported using Millie Moon diaper products and seeing news outlets report similar findings in other infants. The patient’s vulva and perineal area had satellite areas of severe erythema and blistering, mostly in the areas where the diaper came into direct contact with the skin.

My child experienced a horrible burn on her private part 3X from Millie moon diapers in the last 2 months. I have used these diapers for almost 15 months. Since she was born she has not used any other brand. It wasnt until 1-2 months ago that in 3 different instances she experienced extreme pain and a bright red sunburn looking rash on her private area. When I wiped her or touched the area, she was shaking with extreme pain and scream crying. She was also screaming before her diaper change in visible discomfort, and I did not think it was a chemical burn until 2 weeks ago and now again with the same exact burn today, that the diapers were the cause.

My 23mo developed an immediate irritation (visible bright red skin on her inner thighs and vaginal region) that was extremely painful to the touch. She was screaming in pain. She had a thick layer of diaper cream on that thankfully protected some of her skin, but I immediately stopped the use of the Millie Moon diaper and her skin began to clear up with the use of medicated cream to sooth the burning pain(it has not fully healed). We have used Millie Moon diapers for the past year and a half without any issues that I could definitively say was related to the diaper itself. This recent incident was directly related to the diaper.

Baby has been using ‘Millie Moon’ regular diapers, overnight diapers, and sensitive skin wipes. Baby has been using product(s) without issue for 1 year prior to injury. After recent restock of new batch of diapers and a new size up, we noticed development of irritation in and around the groin region. At first presented as irritation, then rash, then later as chemical burn, with first aid treatment mostly ineffective. Since then, the diaper brand was switched to an alternate competitor, as well as first aid treatment. After discontinuing the ‘Millie Moon’ product(s), rash/burn/irritation resolved in just a few days.

Millie moon diapers caused chemical burn on my 3 month old baby. It happend within a few days. What looked like diaper rash turned into obvious chemical burn. We have used [REDACTED] with no issues, [REDACTED] were all no problem. Figured we would try Millie moon diapers for the softness. And that was a big mistake! Literally caused her skin to turn white and peel in areas. We figured it was the diapers because that was the only thing that changed. How can a company sell such a product that is not safe for skin? We have been using Millie moon diapers with my youngest son and since November/december time frame of last year he started developing horrible diaper rash. Once to the point the doctor said it was a staph infection thats how raw his butt had gotten. We have been battling severe diaper rash since then and I have NEVER had issues with my other kids in diapers just the one using Millie moon diapers. I am quite disappointed since they are supposed to be better. But since seeing other people come forward with similar issues I decided to make a switch in diapers and have seen a huge improvement.

Contact with the diaper, despite barrier cream, appears to have caused the rash as she was fine before switching to these new diapers. She had previous been using size 4 in both the regular diapers and the overnights. There was a period in June 2026 where she had a severe diaper rash for the duration of using a new box of size 4 diapers, it is unclear if the overnights or regular diapers were the cause. I bought a box of Millie moon size 4 in New Bern, NC Walmart on 3 August 2026. On Wed, 9 Sept, she went to daycare where she used the Millie Moon diapers. They are mandated to change every 2 hours or after a wet/soiled diaper if earlier. She had the worst rash I have ever seen on her that night after picking her up. After 3 days of air drying and cream she still has it. After some parts cleared, she has burn like rashes and bumps that indicate a chemical burn. She screamed and was in pain from this. Please recall all Millie Moon diapers and force them to fix their formula. Other parents have reported similar issues over a year period from a quick internet search.

Problem: Severe skin irritation/burning involving the vulva and buttocks
I am reporting a serious product safety concern involving Millie Moon Luxury Disposable Diapers.
My approximately 1-year-old daughter has experienced significant burning, redness and skin irritation across her vulva and buttocks while wearing Millie Moon diapers. This problem has been occurring repeatedly since approximately July 2026.
We initially suspected an ordinary diaper rash, but the reaction continued and became significant enough that we brought her to her pediatrician. Her pediatrician examined her and confirmed that the diaper was causing the burning/skin reaction. We have therefore discontinued use of the Millie Moon diapers.
This is particularly concerning because the reaction is occurring in an extremely sensitive area and appears to be associated specifically with this diaper product. We have not experienced this degree of reaction with other diaper brands.

The product, in the report: Millie Moon Luxury day and night time diapers, size 4. The pattern on the diapers goes beyong the millie moon label band that is not typical as we’ve used these before. Will not be providing images of my daughters diaper rash as that involves her private areas.
On August 6th, 2026 I purchased two boxes of Millie Moon Luxury diapers for nighttime use at Target. We began using them this month and noticed my daughter developed a severe diaper rash that lasted for over one week. This led to pain while urinating and out of the ordinary fussiness when putting on diapers. During the day we use a different brand of diapers and noticed the rash improved but continued to return in the morning after nighttime use. We have used Millie Moon before with no issues and truly believe something must be wrong with this batch we have. After doing some research about this level of diaper irritation and Millie Moon, I found that we are using the newer model where the pattern extends to the top of the diaper and felt that our daughters symptoms were consistent with other moms. We hope this brand/batch of diapers will be investigated to determine if there is a new chemical being used in manufacturing, as we have used this brand for months with no issues. My four week old infant suffered red burns and blisters that mimic sunburn, from using milly moon newborn style diapers. The store was out of the brand we went for so I chose millie moon as a substitute. My always happy baby became fussy. It took a few diapers to figure out the root of the cause and once we got her normal diapers back in stock, no more fuss and the redness and blisters went away. I looked up to see if anyone else was having issues, and apparently this is a fairly new problem with the newer Millie Moon diapers. This needs to be addressed and set as a recall as soon as possible. This is so sad, especially to be a baby product :(

We purchased Millie Moon diapers from Target on May 18, 2026, and our daughter began developing a severe, very red diaper-area rash/burn while using the diapers. The affected skin appeared significantly irritated and burned and was extremely sensitive to touch.
The injury became particularly apparent during diaper changes. She was visibly uncomfortable when the affected area was touched, and it became difficult to clean her and change her diaper because even gentle contact caused significant sensitivity and discomfort.
The product being used was Millie Moon disposable diapers. They were being used as intended for our young child for normal diapering throughout the day and night.
The reaction was concerning enough that we believe the product should be investigated for a possible chemical or material-related cause. We had not expected a diaper being used as directed to result in what appeared to be a serious chemical-type burn. The severity of the redness, sensitivity, and discomfort was substantially beyond what we would consider a typical diaper rash.
We are reporting this because we want the manufacturer and investigators to be aware of the reaction and determine whether the diapers, including their materials, dyes, adhesives, absorbent materials, or other components, could have contributed to or caused the injury. We would like this incident documented and investigated to determine whether other children may have experienced similar reactions.

The diapers were used on my 6-month-old daughter as intended. We used the diapers for approximately one week while traveling. The product was purchased by a friend on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, in July 2026. We no longer have the original packaging, so I do not have the model, lot, or UPC information.
I am reporting this incident after seeing another mother describe a serious injury to her baby from this product, which made me realize that my baby had experienced a very similar reaction.
We normally use [REDACTED] diapers at home. While traveling to Nantucket, Massachusetts, we were unable to purchase [REDACTED] diapers on the island. A friend purchased Millie Moon diapers, Size 3, for my then 6-month-old daughter so that we would have diapers available at the house. Neither my friend nor I had previously heard of the Millie Moon brand.
I used the diapers on my 6-month-old daughter as directed. Shortly after beginning to use them, she developed what initially appeared to be an extremely severe diaper rash. The reaction was unlike anything I had ever seen with my first child. Her skin became extremely bright red, shiny, and developed blisters. The affected areas corresponded closely to the areas covered by the diaper.
Because I did not initially realize that the diapers could be causing the reaction, she continued wearing the Millie Moon diapers for approximately one week. Once we returned home, I took her to her pediatrician twice for evaluation.
It took approximately one month for her skin to heal, and she still has marks remaining from the blisters. The reaction began after she started wearing these diapers and occurred in the areas of contact with the diapers. I believe the Millie Moon diapers caused the injury.
I am submitting photographs documenting the severity of the skin reaction.

Incident description:
My son had been using Millie Moon Size 4 diapers for a while without issue. After we opened a new pack, he developed a severe rash in his diaper area shortly after we started using diapers from this new pack. The reaction was severe blistering skin. We took him to see a doctor, who evaluated the rash.

When our daughter was two weeks we started using MillieMoon luxury diapers and MillieMoon wipes exclusively for her. Within a few days she experienced a diaper rash that we could not get to clear up. We had the rash checked by a nurse who said it appeared to be a chemical burn. We discontinued use of MillieMoon products. The rash took about 2 weeks to start to heal but is still not fully healed.

My daughter has been experiencing a severe and persistent rash in the diaper area for more than a month. The affected areas have included significant redness and irritation, as well as open sores, blister-like areas and areas that appear to be scarring. Despite treatment with Cephalexin, Nystatin 34 times per day and Mupirocin as directed by her pediatrician, there has been no meaningful improvement. In fact, her skin has become noticeably worse over the past week.
We have been using Millie Moon diapers throughout this period. I recently became aware of reports from other parents describing what they believe to be chemical burns or severe skin reactions associated with Millie Moon diapers following reported changes to the product. After reviewing the information and photographs being shared, I am very concerned because the open sores, blistering and scarring shown look very similar to what we are seeing on my daughter.

I started using Millie moon diapers a few weeks after my daughters birth. Never had an issue however, we never knew they changed formulas and battled a several diapers/yeast rash and chemical burn type rash for several months never realizing it was the diapers causing it. The company should have been clear they changed formulas glad so families would be aware of potential side effects. It was disgusting to find this out knowing my daughter suffered for months and we tried changing so many things to rule out what it could be, except diapers bc it was something we had been using for so long prior without issues

My daughter has been using Millie Moon diapers her whole life. She is eight months old. We have never had issues until the last month. After the last box of diapers I bought of Millie Moon diapers. She started showing a diaper rash. Within a few days, it was not a diaper rash, but some type of burn. She had bright red rash showing from her front to her back in the entire diaper area. Even when using diaper rash cream, it continued. It was at the point of some blistering after switching products and using a different diaper it went away completely. No other change has occurred.

My 4 month old infant had a chemical burn from using Millie moon diapers. I had changed his diaper in the morning and with in an hour he was screaming so I looked over everything and went to change his diaper again thinking maybe he was struggling to go. When I pulled the diaper off I noticed he was bright red and bleeding. I carefully wiped him down and applied diaper rash cream and another diaper. I went 2 days with this exact routine, changing him the moment he peed or anything and still the redness and bleeding would not go away and only got worse. I was doing a ton of research thinking his formula started causing issues when I came across multiple different things about Millie moon diapers causing chemical like burns. I changed diapers that day and have not had any issues since.

While using Millie Moon diapers, I observed an increase in my babys frequent, bright red rashes. During a routine check-up, my pediatrician also noticed the issue and expressed concern. Diaper changes became increasingly challenging, as my baby became fussy and vocal during the process of changing his diaper, wiping him, and putting on a new one. It was only after conducting research that I discovered that other parents had experienced similar problems while using Millie Moon diapers. Ive been using Millie Moon size N and 1 since my baby was born on [REDACTED]. I noticed a burn which I had assumed was a diaper rash appear when he was about 2 and 1/2 weeks old but it went away after a week. Now again Monday September 7, 2026 I notice and extremely severe rash that looks worse than your regular diaper rash. This entire week Im consistently washing his bottom and putting on diaper rash cream after every change wand changing every 2-3 hours.
