Addiction treatment

Addiction treatment facilities, from SAMHSA’s National Directory: the services, payment and ages each one reported, and what its listing can’t tell you. A directory, not inspection records.

13,432 addiction treatment facilities on the record, in 54 states. From SAMHSA’s National Directory of Mar 6, 2026.

What the count covers

The 13,432 facilities in SAMHSA’s National Directory of Drug and Alcohol Use Treatment Facilities: those their state’s substance use agency licenses, certifies or approves for it that answered SAMHSA’s yearly survey. A facility that didn’t answer isn’t in it, and FindTreatment.gov, which SAMHSA updates weekly, may list more.
