We used Millie moon size 1 diapers from target for just a week on my son when he was a newborn. He developed the WORST rash, blisters, we were in and out of the hospital and pediatricians trying to figure out what was causing the rash. Finally a nurse at the er told me Millie moon gave her baby chemical burns and told us to switch brands. We switched to brands and he has never have had a rash or even redness ever since. It took 3 weeks for the injuries from Millie moon to heal.

I used millie moon diapers on my baby from weeks 3-6 of her life and during that time she had the most insane diaper rash/burns. We were unable to get it under control for 2 weeks and it turned into huge raw sores on her bottom. After going through multiple diaper creams etc we finally figured out it was the diapers causing the problem, even though so many moms had told us to use millie moon due to their safety. We stopped using millie moon and over the course of a week it went away. They were huge and just completely raw. I have seen online that it could be a potential chemical burn rather than a diaper rash due to their new ingredients to make the diapers.

Our premature newborn twins both developed significant redness and painful-looking, burn-like irritation in the diaper area after wearing Millie Moon disposable diapers. Because both babies experienced similar reactions after using the same brand, we are concerned that the diapers may have caused or contributed to the irritation. The diapers were received as gifts, so we do not have the original purchase receipts or packaging from the diapers that were used. However, we still possess at least one additional box of Millie Moon size 1 diapers and multiple opened packages. We have stopped using all Millie Moon products and have retained the remaining diapers in case the CPSC or manufacturer wishes to inspect or test them. Photographs of the babies skin reactions and the remaining products are available. After the incident, we learned of other consumer reports describing similar rashes and burn-like skin reactions associated with Millie Moon diapers. This raised concerns about a possible product-material, manufacturing, contamination, or quality-control problem. We contacted Millie Moon directly to report the reactions, request that the matter be reviewed by its product-safety or quality team, and ask what identifying information or product samples it needed. It has now been more than two weeks since our initial contact. We have sent the company three separate emails and have received no response, but they did acknowledge and send an email saying theyd get back to us in 48 hours. We are submitting this formal complaint because the affected children were premature newborns, both experienced similar reactions, unused products remain available for evaluation, and the manufacturer has not responded despite three attempts to contact it. We respectfully request that the CPSC document this incident and evaluate whether similar complaints indicate a broader safety issue involving Millie Moon diapers.

I initially thought it was a diaper rash but when I put rash cream on he screamed like I have never heard before and was clearly in agonizing pain. I have a 10 month old baby. She has been using Millie Moon diapers since she was born. I change her diaper every 2 hrs. We never has any issues until last week. Last week I started noticing redness in her private areas. I started to apply a rash cream but it was not getting any better. In fact it got progressively worse to the point that it looked like a burn and she was visibly in pain each time that I would change/wipe her. I immediately discontinued using the Millie Moon diapers and purchased her [REDACTED]. In a matter of 48 hrs, the burn/redness went away almost completely. I did not change the wipes or anything else, just the diapers. After this incident I went online and saw that multiple other reports were made of the identical issue. I took photos of the affected area. I did not attach the photos here as they are of her private area and I don’t believe it is appropriate to share those via this portal. They are available for inspection if contacted.

I am submitting this report regarding a skin reaction and rash my 13 month old daughter developed after using Millie Moon diapers.
My daughter has used Millie Moon diapers regularly since approximately 4 months of age without experiencing any problems or skin reactions. We recently purchased a new box in size 5 after previously using size 4 without issue.
Shortly after beginning use of the size 5 diapers, my daughter developed a rash that initially appeared along the diaper line on her abdomen. The rash progressively spread to her perineal area and subsequently extended onto her trunk.
We attempted topical treatment, but the rash did not resolve while she continued wearing the diapers. There have been no other changes in products or known chemical exposures during this period. We did not introduce any new soaps, detergents, lotions, creams, wipes, or other products that would otherwise explain the reaction.
Because of the timing and the fact that she had previously tolerated Millie Moon diapers without any issues, I became concerned that the new box of diapers may have contributed to the reaction.
I stopped using the Millie Moon diapers and the rash began to resolve after discontinuation. This was concerning enough that I did not feel comfortable continuing to use the product on my daughter.
I have included photographs documenting the rash as well as photographs of the diaper packaging showing the lot number and manufacturing date for the box involved.
I returned the box of diapers to Target today.
I am reporting this incident because I believe there may have been a change in the product, materials, manufacturing process, or another factor associated with this particular lot or size that could have contributed to my daughters skin reaction. I would appreciate having this complaint documented and investigated, particularly because she had used the same brand for many months previously without any reaction.

I am reporting a suspected product-related injury involving Millie Moon disposable diapers.
My young son developed what appears to be a chemical-type burn/skin injury on his scrotum while wearing Millie Moon diapers. The affected area is sensitive and involves his genital skin. I am concerned that something associated with the diaper, such as the materials, absorbent contents, dyes, fragrances, or other chemicals, may have caused or contributed to the injury.
Today, September 22, 2026, my son was also seen in the emergency department for a fever. I am reporting the ER visit because it occurred in the same period as the significant diaper-area injury and I want CPSC to have a complete record of the circumstances. I understand that the fever may or may not be related to the diaper injury, and I am not claiming a causal connection without medical confirmation.
I would like this incident documented and reviewed as a potential product safety issue. I can provide photographs of the diaper, purchase information, and medical/ER documentation if needed. I have retained the remaining diapers, so they are available for review.

Ive used Millie Moon diapers since my son was born, about 2 years ago. Ive heard of the recent comments about parents seeing chemical-like burns from recent batches. We hadnt seen anything until last night. I noticed what appeared to be some chafing around my sons diaper area. I thought it was from the pool and just being wet and running around. But this morning it is much worse and has spread significantly. He seems uncomfortable and it dawned on me that we just bought a new pack of diapers last week. My daughter has only used Millie moon diapers since she was 1 month old. She is 18.5 months now. A few months ago, we noticed what looked like a burn on her vulva and surrounding areas, it would even start to bleed from being so raw. The skin would kind of slough off too. This continued to happen and we ruled out everything we use on her first. Then realized it was the diapers. Once we stopped using them and switched, she has been completely fine. This has caused her significant issues with getting her diaper changed now since she was in so much pain before.

We have used Millie Moon diapers pretty much since my baby was born in December of 2025. They were always the diapers that had the white section above where it says Millie moon. We heard about the formula change, but had already purchased a box. We opened the box and used about half a sleeve. We noticed my baby getting a rash and started using ointment to help. The rash continued getting worse. More red, shiny, she even started bleeding at one point. We stopped using Millie Moon diapers & switched to a different brand. A few days later the redness started to fade & her skin started to peel like a sunburn. We stopped using them completely and her bottom is back to normal.

My child developed a rash immediately after starting to use Millie Moon diapers. He was approximately 1 week old when this rash developed. He had been wearing those diapers for one day. We used both the NB and Size 1 diapers. He had a warm, very red rash in the exact places that the diaper touched, even where the umbilical cut out was. We reported the rash to his pediatrician and they recommended switching brands. The rash was gone within a day after switching diaper brands.

My daughter wears size 5 diapers and had been using another diaper brand without this reaction. Shortly after switching to Millie Moon size 5 diapers purchased from Target on September 11, 2026, she developed severe redness, raised welts, and blistering in the diaper area. The reaction began very soon after we started using the Millie Moon diapers. The skin appeared significantly irritated and painful and was much more severe than a typical diaper rash. We stopped using the diapers after noticing the reaction and returned to her previous diaper brand. The symptoms began improving after discontinuing the Millie Moon diapers. We are reporting this because of the close timing between using the product and the development of the severe skin reaction.

On 9/16/2026 I noticed that her genitalia was dark red, pelvic was red and stomach was pink. I have been using millie moon diapers since 2024 with no issues. I used them for my first in 2024 and they (3years old) still wear them at night and my other child (1year old) has been using them since birth. They always worked great and was the only diaper that did not give my kids a rash until recently. I opened a new box, all of a sudden my 1 year old has a diaper rash thats covering everywhere the diaper covers, its red, raised, peeling skin with some spots that are bleeding, he is in so much pain he shakes and cries during changes. My oldest has also developed a rash, she complains of pain in the diaper area and its red raised peeling and bleeding at times. My kids have never had this issue until i opened a new box of millie moon diapers a few weeks ago. Soon as i used a different diaper their rashes slowly started to disappear and are almost gone now.

On Sept 8, 2026 my 6 year old daughter was in tears complaining of her genital area being itchy and burning intermittently. She still wears pull ups to bed only at night. We purchased Millie Moon training underwear in 5/6T. We used about 7 or 8 of them when she started complaining of itchiness. At first I thought it was because she did not wipe well and it left her skin irritated. [REDACTED] cream did not work the first night, which is unusual because it usually clears up irritation the next day. The second night was worse, she is in tears saying it itches and burns. It is very red. I start thinking pinworms, allergic reaction to her soap, detergent. I tried [REDACTED] cream. I tried hydrocortisone cream. More [REDACTED] cream on top of it. Nothing worked. By the 3rd night I finally thought about the new Millie Moon diapers weve been using for the past week. We stopped it and continued the [REDACTED] and it cleared up. We have since tossed these Millie Moon diapers in the trash.

Yes, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the text on the actual diaper (Millie Moon) had gotten a bit smaller, but I just thought that was a rebranding thing. Around the same time, I noticed my son’s privates were bright red, and I just chalked it up to diaper rash, so we’ve been putting rash cream on the area. He has shown physical discomfort at every diaper change, which he had never done before. Now, after seeing the article, it makes sense. 6. From the pulp, I am assuming switching from Total Chlorine Free (TCF) to Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF), which completely goes against what Millie Moon initially stood for being a “clean diaper” brand.

My daughter got an extremely bad diaper rash that made the skin start peeling and bleeding. Lasted for over a month even with going to the doctor to get creams stronger than over the counter diaper cream. Nothing helped except changing diapers and wipes. I have used millie moon diapers for 15 months and never had the issue until now. She is now in size 4 diapers as well if that matters. This is not the first time she has gotten a bad diaper rash that we believe is from the diapers. She had another very bad rash several months before this one that medically prescribed cream and changing to a different brand diaper fixed after about 3 weeks.

I have been using Millie Moon overnight diapers for over a year on my baby. I bought a new box of size 4 overnight diapers on August 6 and started to notice what looked like chemical burns in the outline of the diaper in her groin area. I tried all of the normal treatments for diaper rash but the rash was still the same after 3 weeks of treatment. We visited the pediatrician and he was puzzled by the rash as it did not look like any normal diaper rash. He gave us 2 prescription ointments to put on which did not help. Then I saw a news article that said that Millie moon size 4 diapers were giving children chemical burns and it looked exactly like what was going on with my daughter. I immediately stopped using the overnight diapers and switched brands to [REDACTED] and the rash started to heal.

The product, in the report: My 10-month-old baby was using Millie Moon size 4 diapers purchased from Target. He had previously used Millie Moon size 4 diapers from Target without any problems. I later purchased another package/box of Millie Moon size 4 diapers. About a week after purchasing and beginning to use the larger box, my baby developed a rash in the diaper area. The affected skin became dry and irritated, and the next day it would sometimes become red again. The rash did not go away as expected. Because the rash started after using the newer box of diapers, I became concerned that there may be an issue with the diapers. I am reporting this incident so the product can be investigated for a possible safety or skin-irritation issue. I have photographs of the affected area and photographs of the diaper packaging available. I do not know the exact purchase date, but the diapers were purchased from Target sometime in August or September 2026. I am requesting that this incident be documented and investigated

Starting on September 2, my daughter developed a severe rash while wearing the newer Millie Moon diapers with the pattern extending to the top of the diaper. The rash developed and worsened while using them, and Ive seen recent reports of severe skin reactions associated with this newer version. We took our daughter to the pediatrician on 9/14/26 because the rash got worse who said that although the rash is not consistent with chemical burn, the rash is most consistent with severe irritant diaper dermatitis. It is possible that the diaper itself, including the materials, fit, or moisture exposure associated with the diaper, may be contributing to the irritation. Her doctor advised for us to stop using the Millie Moon diapers immediately. We stopped using them on 9/11 and the rash got better after we stopped. We are very concerned that the Millie Moon diapers caused the severe rash.

We began using Millie Moon Size 3 diapers on June 17, 2026. During the time our daughter was wearing these diapers, she developed what we initially believed was severe, persistent diaper rash. Despite our efforts to treat the rash, it continued to recur and progressively worsened.
The affected skin became extremely red and irritated and eventually blistered and bled. We continued trying to determine the cause because we believed we were dealing with an unusually severe diaper rash.
On September 14, 2026, we stopped using Millie Moon diapers after our daughter was evaluated by her pediatrician. Her pediatrician determined that the skin injury was a chemical burn caused by the diapers rather than a typical diaper rash.
Our daughter used Millie Moon Size 3 diapers from June 17 through September 14, 2026. We are reporting this incident because of the severity and prolonged nature of her skin injury and our concern that other children could potentially experience a similar reaction.

Incident Description:
My 1-month-old newborn developed a severe skin reaction after we began using Millie Moon Size 1 diapers.
My baby was circumcised at the hospital when he was 2 days old. Before switching to Millie Moon, we used a different brand of diapers and never experienced any rash, irritation, or other adverse reactions.
After recently switching to Millie Moon Size 1 diapers, we noticed that our newborn developed a terrible rash on his buttocks. The affected skin appeared severely irritated and almost burned, raising concerns about a possible skin reaction to the diaper materials or other components.
During diaper changes, I began noticing blood on the wipes when wiping my baby. Even more concerning, his circumcised penis became extremely swollen, and we noticed a blister forming on his penis.
This is extremely alarming, especially because he is only 1 month old and had previously tolerated another diaper brand without any issues.
We are concerned that the Millie Moon diapers may have contributed to or worsened this severe skin reaction and possible skin injury. We are reporting this incident so that it can be investigated and other families with newborns are made aware of the potential risk.
We request that the product be reviewed for potential safety concerns, including whether its materials, absorbent components, or other features could contribute to severe skin irritation, blistering, or injury in infants.
Reported injuries/symptoms:
* Severe diaper rash on the buttocks * Skin that appeared burned or severely irritated * Blood observed on wipes during diaper changes * Significant swelling of the circumcised penis * A blister on the penis
Additional Information: We had not experienced these symptoms while using our previous diaper brand. The symptoms were noticed after switching to Millie Moon Size 1 diapers.
We are requesting that this incident be documented and investigated to determine whether the product may have contributed to the injuries.

Shortly after transitioning to a newly purchased package of Millie Moon diapers, my son developed a sudden, severe, and painful skin breakout. The reaction resembled a severe chemical burn rather than standard diaper rash. The skin became raw and intensely inflamed. We previously used the older Millie Moon design with no issues, but this breakout occurred immediately upon using the new formula design. Switching to [REDACTED] kept the breakout active, indicating the skin barrier was highly compromised. We have since switched to [REDACTED] diapers, and the skin is beginning to stabilize. The physical diapers were discarded due to the severity of the reaction, but the retail purchase receipt has been retained to verify the purchase date, store location, and batch timeline.

Millie Moon diapers (size 4 and 5) caused a severe rash on our baby that wouldn’t go away for months.
