The product, in the report: FREE STANDING STOVE WITH OVEN
I WAS STANDING IN MY KITCHEN WHEN MY FRIGIDAIRE OVEN DOOR EXPLODED GLASS WENT AS FAR AS A FEW FEET AWAY THE STOVE WAS JUST TURNED ON WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE STOVE IS ONLY ABOUT 6 MONTHS OLD. I HAVE NOT EVEN SELF-CLEANED IT YET. THE DOOR HAS NOT BEEN HIT WITH ANYTHING. I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW THE OUTER GLASS COULD JUST EXPLODE LIKE THAT. WHAT BOTHERS ME MOST IS THE DAY BEFORE I WAS TEACHING MY 8 YEAR OLD GRANDSON HOW TO COOK AND BAKING WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER. WHAT IF THEY WERE LOOKING AT WHAT THEY MADE THROUGH THE GLASS. THESE PEOPLE CLAIM THEY ARE ALL ABOUT SAFETY BECAUSE NO ONE HAS GOTTEN INJURED. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTER IF THE KIDS WERE LOOKING THROUGH THAT GLASS. I THINK THAT THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO A LITTLE CLOSER BECAUSE THERE IS PLENTY OF PEOPLE WHO COOK WITH THEIR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.

The product, in the report: Smooth Electric Cook Top that is not connected to Stove
Cook Top will come on regardless of the position of the control knobs. Contacted the manufacturer and they provided repair which lasted for a couple of years. The problem is now re-occurring with increased frequency. I contacted the manufacture and they refused to remedy the situation. I was advised to simply purchase a new cook top if I deemed the current unit unsafe. In my opinion, this is both a fire and health safety risk that should be addressed. If the company is not willing to address the issue, the public should at least be aware of the risks.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire 30” Electric Range Stainless Steel Double Oven
We noticed a plastic burning smell about 9pm, looked every where and searched the entire house but did not find the source. Went to bed, woke up the next day, getting ready to go to work, when we got to the main floor we noticed the same smell had gotten much stronger, but again we were unable to find what was causing it. We went to work, and it was about 2 hours after we left the house that our smart smoke detectors went off notifying us on our phone that there was smoke in the main floor, we immediately called 911, and drove home. We entered the house with the fire fighters, there was a strong smell of burnt plastic, and smoke all over. After examining the house the fire fighters concluded that even though the range was not on, somehow the electric panel of it got some how short circuited and a small explosion occurred on the back of the panel, damaging the wall, but we were lucky that the fire did not spread to any where else and eventually died on its own, leaving the electrical panel all bubbled up from the heat. We were extremely lucky, but I was surprised that once I called Frigidaire to report this incident they did not care to send someone to investigate the actual fault of the appliance. The reason I’m reporting it here is to bring awareness and notify people of the potential hazard that they might have at their home, and not be aware of it. Not everyone would end up as lucky as we were.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Gallery Electric Range, model FGEF3055MFE, serial # VF23971385
I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery electric range (model FGEF3055MFE, serial # VF23971385) in 2013. On 3-18-2018 the computer board in back of the range caught on fire. I had the oven set at 375 degrees. An alarm went off with an error code F10. I was not able to shut the range off. Smoke was coming out the back of the range. Had to shut the circuit breaker off. My husband checked the oven temperature with a heat gun and it registered 640 degrees. I called Frigidaire and explained how their product could of burned my house down. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she would only offer a 30 percent discount on the parts because my model has not been recalled. I am not happy with Frigidaire. I feel a company should stand behind a product that changes on fire.

The product, in the report: FRIGIDAIRE GALLERY SLIDE IN RANGE-M#FGES3065PFA S#AF344011347
The Frigidaire Gallery electric slide in range purchased 8-11-14 used approximately 3 times per Week. On 03-12-18 the front burner on range top spontaneously turned on. I immediately turned it to the off position and called an electrician. While on the phone with the electrician the burners spontaneously turned on and as before I turned them off. The electrician stated this was a switch Problem advised me to turn breaker off. I then called the company where I purchased the range and they estimated a switch replacement would be $300 not including labor. This incident is frightening As I work and travel and had not been home my house could have gone up in smoke due to this Range defect. I have researched to see if there is a recall on this model and the complaints and incidents are staggering. The model# FGE3865PFA- Serial #AF 344011347 Frigidaire Gallery Slide in Electric Range should immediately be recalled for this safety hazard The company I Purchased this appliance no longer carries this. Brand due to poor customer service.

The product, in the report: Range
This caller purchased his range in 2007 from retailer in Murfreesboro, TN in 2007. He had no problems with the unit until around January 2017 when he noticed that the right rear element was coming on by itself. He contacted the manufacturer who repaired the unit. January 24, 2018 he noticed that the indicator light for right front element is remaining on as if the element is on but the element is not getting hot or becoming red. He is reporting this incident as a hazard because the indicator light and element send messages electrically and since this light is on he understands that the wiring could become hot or the element could turn itself on and catch fire and/or burn persons using the range. There are no injuries being reported at this time He has not contacted the manufacturer at this time but he does intend to contact them.

The product, in the report: Frigidare professional series slide-in dual fuel range
The oven was smoldering for 2 days before we figured out it was the stove because the fan was continuously running and none of the buttons worked on the oven or stove. We turned the breaker off and called frigidaire. They advised to unplug and turn on again it might reset. We did that twice and then smelled the smoldering again. We called the repair man. They both advised us we had a fire in the control board or (clock and touch membrane as they described it) that destroyed the board and connected wiring. Tried to call back and discuss with company, but they were not interested. Not approved by URL. We have had 2 repairmen to the house who advised us to call the companies safety committee. Frig adair doesn’t have a safety committee to talk to. The repairman who were at our home to look at the stove were no longer registered Frigidaire repairman because Frigidaire was not good about paying for warranty repairs. Still looking for a reputable Frigidaire repairman.

On 3/3/18 My 16 month granddaughter was standing next to me when I was warming up her Macaroni and Cheese. She had her right hand on my leg and her left hand was free. My granddaughter started screaming and when I look down there was a great amount of blood on her and the floor. She had gotten her fingers stuck in the oven vent and when she pulled them out she sliced two of her fingers. After some time I was able to stop the bleeding and was able put on large band ads. Today is Tuesday 3/6/108 and she still won’t use her hand. I have never heard of this happening and I have no idea how to child proof this when the over needs the vent for cooking.

The product, in the report: Oven Range
The consumer indicates that the front and right burner turned on by itself. The consumer immediately switched off the circuit breaker.
The consumer contacted Frigidaire and explained the situation. The representative she spoke with informed her that the unit was included in a recall; a Service Technician was scheduled to repair the unit.
02/16/20018 – The Service Technician installed all the parts that were sent to the consumer’s home, and proceeded to advise the consumer to switch the circuit breaker back on. Once electricity was supplied to the oven range, the unit turned on by itself again. The Service Technician left and informed the consumer they would get back to her.
02/26/2018 – The consumer received a voice message from Electrolux indicating that the issue with her oven range was due to the board and that if she wanted to have her unit fixed, it would have to be at her expense.
The consumer states that the cooktop is used once or twice daily, whereas the oven is used three to four times per week.
The consumer states that her oven range was remedied four years ago as it was recalled because the burners would spontaneously turn on. The consumer plans on keeping her oven range for the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

I went to investigate and discovered my Frigidaire range had a burner on even though all the knobs were turned to the off position. The stove would not turn off until the breaker was turned off and all power was stopped to the range. Model number is PLES389ECH. I contacted the company; however, they are unwilling to acknowledge any safety concerns this causes.

I bought a smooth top oven for my 82 year old mother 12/30/2016. The oven door handle just came off 01/03/2018. ( right side) I called Frigidare and requested a new handle, the one that came off was cracked where the bolt connects it to the oven door, The bolt also holds oven door together. A potential burn/ injury hazard . I got new part (just handle no new bolts included). My husband replaced it and now it has fallen off again less than a month later.(left side). The threads are stripped in the handle. I have contacted Frigidare several times. I would think this handle should be recalled.

Frigidaire Gallery Electric Range oven is in a runaway heating condition. Display shows 350 degrees, I smelt it burning and checked the temperature with a hand held probe it was at 550 Deg F and still climbing.
This is a fire hazard and poor design, as an electrical engineer I understand that the heating controller may get shorted and stay on but no way should the display be sat there showing 350 deg (at what it was set).
This could have seriously burnt someone or caught fire as it was in a total runaway condition.

On 1/21/18, about 7 pm, the oven outer glass door shattered without warning. The oven was cold. It had been used in the morning. I was about 4 feet from the oven when the glass shattered and flew about the room. I was struck by flying glass, but not injured.
I called the manufacturer Monday, 1/22/18. The oven is out of warranty. I ordered a replacement glass at a cost of $118.72.
A web search revealed many instances of the same problem. I believe this is a poorly engineered and dangerous design without adequate consumer warning. The manufacturer should provide an unlimited extended warranty and the glass door design banned as unsafe.
The only caution the manufacturer provides is in the products Use & Care Manual. On the bottom of page 17, under the section Removing & Replacing the Lift-off Oven Door appears Special Door Care Instructions... “Scratching, hitting, jarring or stressing the glass may weaken its structure causing an increased risk of breakage at a later time.”
Had I know the risk, I would not have bought the oven.

The rear right side burner turns on and off on it’s own and stays on even when the knob is turned to the off position upon discovering the problem. Currently, the only way to resolve the problem is to turn off the power to the appliance and leave it unconnected until I need to use it.
Other Frigidaire ranges have a similar problem and have been recalled.

3 incidences in these past 2 weeks. The first time I was not home, my child reported to me that the burner came on by itself, all of the knobs were in the off position. He turned the knob of the burner that was coming on and witnessed a big flash coming from the back of the stove. It blew the breaker. This past Saturday I was using the oven and noticed heat coming from the burner. The coils were not red, all knobs in the off position. So I then turned the knob of the burner and also witnessed a flash coming from the back. The same night another child of mine, who wasn’t using the stove or oven, simply had a crock pot on top started to feel the heat from the burner. It was not red, just massive heat. Almost melted the legs on the crock pot. Again I turned the knob of the burner, saw the flash, and heard the breaker snap. I then unplugged the unit, started researching and saw info about the recall. Called customer service and was told twice this model number is not on the recall list. WHY NOT??? It remains unplugged, which means I cannot cook any meals for my children. It could’ve caught my house on fire, someone could’ve got burned severely. It’s a fire hazard, but yet I can’t get it fixed, because this model number isn’t on the list, even though the government website says it should be.

The product, in the report: Oven Range
The consumer states her oven range was delivered March 2015 as she was building her home at the time she purchased it.
11/13/2017 (Approximate) - The consumer indicates that she preset the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit however when it reached said temperature, the oven continued to increase the temperature and started beeping and smoking until an Error Code F10 was displayed. The consumer looked up Error Code F10 and learned that it meant “Runaway Oven.” The only way the consumer was able to turn off the oven was by switching off the circuit breaker.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer on 12/04/2017 and explained the situation. The representative she spoke to informed her that they could give them a fifty-percent discount on the circuit board, and a Service Technician would have to install the part.
The consumer indicates that the oven was used approximately thrice weekly, whereas the cooktop was used an estimated five to six times per week. The consumer ceased use of the oven range in November 2017 as she purchased a new unit by a different Manufacturer.
The consumer states that the same incident occurred Christmas Day 2016 where the oven was preset and eventually displayed and F10 Error Code as the temperature continually rose; the consumer had to switch off the circuit breaker to turn the unit off. The consumer purchased and installed a thermostat on the unit.
The consumer plans on keeping her unit for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Range. 5 burner glass top. 1 large oven and bottom drawer doubles as a second small oven.
We were using the oven on our Frigidaire range when the right rear burner turned itself on and proceeded to heat to high. The switch war already in the off position and thus I was unable to turn off the burner. I had to switch it to Low, just so I did not have a red hot burner on the top.
I unplugged the range and looked up to see if people had a similar issue.
I was able to identify that a recall was issued in 2009 that described the exact issue and posted to the CPSC website.
My model number: PLEFMZ99GCB was included in the information and my serial number: VF74738003 was within the designated range.
The contact information showed a phone number and website to report issues. The website now redirects to the main Electrolux website. The phone number now says they do not have weekend hours.
I called the main Electrolux product line and eventually spoke withe someone regarding the issue. They put me on hold to look up the recall and now tell me that the model number is not on the recall list. I advised her that it is on the CPSC website and she just restated it was not on her list. I asked to speak with a supervisor who advised me she wasn’t sure “what I thought I saw” online, but my model was not on their recall list and they couldn’t do anything. She advised if I wanted to continue the issue, to call the other number on Monday.
It is disturbing that they do not have a complete list of their own recalls.

The product, in the report: Range model FEFL79DBL
We have a Frigidaire stove model FEFL79DBL. The front elements on the glass cooktop will only cook on high and sometimes will not turn off. In investigating the issue I found a website which said models with serial numbers VF122 through VF831 were recalled for the exact same thing. Our serial number starts with VF70. I called sears and they said it was not part of the recall and I should call Electrolux. I called them and they told me it was not on the recall list even though the serial number fell into that range and I should call a technician to have it repaired at my own expense. I asked for a supervisor and spoke with [REDACTED] who told me she had my complaint and that they couldn’t do anything because it was not on the recall list. I asked her what would happen with my complaint and she said “Nothing.” I asked for her supervisor (so far over an hour on the phone) and she told me her supervisor, [REDACTED], would tell me the same thing. Apparently these people are considered corporate managers but they sound as if they are about 20 years old. She said they were the Electrolux managers but not of any specific division in the company. This company is designed to give you the runaround and not help you. They ignore the danger a defective range could cause and DO NOT stand behind their products.

After an appliance repair company replaced a sensor in Feb 2017 and a control panel in April 2017 at a cost of $ 622.84 the exact same fault occurred in late Oct 2017. This evening the oven was turned on to cook dinner, 400 degrees F. 17 minutes into the bake cycle we noticed smoke filling the house, pressed [Timer] to stop the running timer, and then the [Clear off] button to stop the baking. The digital display still read 400, so it looked normal, and returned to displaying a clock. Dinner came out blackened, and the coated paper bowl cracked at a touch as it had become brittle due to overheating. As we discussed how this happened, and re-read the directions on the package, I noticed the oven coils continued to glow yellow-orange-hot. I rushed over to the oven, pressed [Clear] again, and then [Bake] but it acted frozen and would not respond to the key presses. I then rushed to the power panel to turn off the circuit breaker. I grabbed my thermal camera, and took pictures of the oven, because it was clearly in a runaway condition, and overheating out of control. I read temperatures around 660 deg.F, which I got a picture saved of, and some parts showed O.L., Over Limit, exceeding the camera’s upper limit of 716 deg. F.
This clearly did not meet the definition of “FAIL SAFE” and it appears we averted a house fire.

The product, in the report: Fridgidaire smoothtop electric wall stove. Model: FEFLZ87GCA SERIAL: VF73450860
Our Frigidaire smooth top electric stove was off. There was a plastic bag and a business card on top of the stove. I was in another room asleep. I woke up to smell plastic burning. Got up and found the stove element lit up. The plastic bag melting and smoking severely, and the card on fire. I went to turn the knob but found it was off. I turned it anyway. No position would turn off the burner. I put out the fire and moved the plastic. Which burned the tip of my finger. I moved the hot stove to pull the 220volt plug. It arced when I pulled it from the wall. The stove finally turned off. I was Left with a house full of smoke and burned plastic smell throughout. Minor burn from the plastic on my finger.

DESC: Frigidaire Stove/Oven (electric) Model # FFEF3003NWC Serial # VF70822370 Date of Purchase: March 22, 2017
Date of Incident: Sept 23, 2017 at 6:30 PM Date I started writing this report: Oct 2, 2017 Today’s Date: Oct 9, 2017
To tell you I am upset is an understatement.
History: After my son returned from Afghanistan with injuries suffered when his vehicle was blown off the road by an IED. I moved him, his wife, and his two children into my other home located at [REDACTED]. He was given an 80% disability which was then upgraded to 100%. He also has PTSD because this happened 3 times. Please understand my son is a combat Marine who “knows” the difference between a spark and what he described as an [REDACTED] rifle shot.
Incident: On Sept. 23rd my son was cooking spaghetti on a Frigidaire range 6 months old, which I purchased on March 22, 2017 from Lowes in Palm Coast. He was boiling approx 1 gal of water and was walking back and forth from the kitchen when there was an explosion. (not a spark or pop as I was told the service record indicated) My son dropped to the floor. The pan along with the water was blown off the stove and hot water went everywhere. The kettle was found 2 feet from the stove on the floor. He shut off the circuit breaker to the stove and called me.
His 5 month old baby was 15 feet away with his wife. His 4 year old was playing in the living room 10 feet away. There is no wall between the kitchen stove and the living room. It is an open floor-space home with only a counter between kitchen and living room. This could have been a disaster but fortunately no one was injured, because no one was in front of the stove.
I called Lowes service dept and told them what happened. They told me they couldn’t do anything until a serviceman came out. They gave me G & M Appliance Repairs number and helped scheduled a serviceman to come out Wednesday between 9-5, because they said they were quite busy after the hurricane Irma. A nice serviceman came out named [REDACTED] and after looking at the damage and examining the stove he said he wouldn’t use it again and that a Safety Report needed to be filed. The element exploded from inside outward. A large amount of white soapy cream covered the bottom steel cone as well as the stove top. The serviceman said he would let his boss know.
After a couple days I called Lowes to see why nothing happened and was told by Lowes that they haven’t heard from the service company yet. I called G & M and spoke to [REDACTED], who told me they were waiting on Lowes. When I called Lowes I was told it was turned over to G&M and they needed to do the paper work. After 2 more days of pleading to get something done I finally was told by G&M that Lowes said it was repairable and that Lowes would not give authorization to replace the stove because it “sparked”. . Which was not cause to have the stove replaced. I was told to contact Lowes again, if i felt it needed replaced..which I did, and was told by [REDACTED] to contact Frigidaire because of the discrepancy in the way it was worded because Frigidaire will NOT allow the word explosion used in the report. The report was changed and now said the stoves top element “sparked” and so it was considered repairable. I asked her who told her it sparked and she replied G&M. So I called them and spoke to [REDACTED] again who read me the report which said it exploded and caught fire. I then called back lowes who now agreed that the report said it exploded and caught fire, but, could not use that wording in their report to Frigidaire. Both Lowes AND the service company agreed that the report from the service tech wrote ‘exploded’ but I was being told that since the word exploded caouldn’t be used it was changed to ‘sparked’. Frigidaire said they could not replace the unit all because a burner sparked !
Then I called Lowes back and spoke first to [REDACTED] explaining the incident, and was then connected to her supervisor [REDACTED] 888-775-6937 who I again explained what happened. She told me that they were not allowed to write the word explosion or fire and that a spark did not justify replacement. I then called Frigidaire again at 800 374-4432 and after waiting 43 minutes was connected to [REDACTED]. All this person would say was the service report said ‘sparked’ so it was company policy that if it was repairable that nothing further could be done. She listened to what happened but said its repairable unless the field serviceman says it is not. I told her what the serviceman said and her reply was that since it wasn’t written down that way, there was nothing she could do. After running in circles for a week I told them to repair it ASAP and that I would write a safety report and ASKED to whom I should mail it. She said she didnt know and that I should contact the seller. Back n forth passing the blame while since the day it blew up my sons family are still using hot plates. What ever happened to good service?
I called lowes back Monday Oct 2, 2017 again speaking with [REDACTED] at G&M and was told she was waiting for my call to confirm I wanted it repaired.. I told her that since I was being told it could not be replaced, only repaired, and cooking on portable stove tops for another month was out of the question. That of course I wanted it repaired. [REDACTRED] said she would order the parts and have it repaired. That was a week ago and the stove is still sitting there not being used until the serviceman says its OK.
This has been the worst (by far) service I have ever received. To have the person at G&M tell me that she was waiting to see if I wanted to keep the stove was demeaning. It was her serviceman that told us not to use it and that he recommends replacement. Lowes telling me that words like explosion and fire could not be written down was outrageous.
I spent several hundred dollars on a stove that exploded. I asked about the liability of having further incidents on a repaired stove and was told that they are not liable for safety issues... What?
Being bounced back and forth between Lowes and G&M while each blams the other is ridiculous. G&M saying they were waiting to see if Lowes would replace it and Lowes saying a spark or pop didnt justify replacing and that its G&M fault for not repairing it needs to be resolved.
The stove needs to be either replaced or fixed and if fixed a written service work order that specifies that its now safe to use. I would like this done ASAP.
G&M said I should file a Safety Report, but no one gave me any further information.. Loews said I should contact Frigidaire, which I did and after 3 different people was connected to [REDACTED], a supervisor.. ext [REDACTED]. Everyone just kept passing the buck.! NO ONE told me how to file a report or to whom I could send it !
Here it is Monday Oct 9 and G&M says there is nothing they can do, they are still waiting on parts. Why did I purchase a 2 year service contact ? Never again.
I have 6 pictures of the after effect and damage caused to stove top.
Signed,
[REDACTED] [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Frigidaire range, Black and stainless.
On August 3, 2017, I got up in the middle of night and found my stove burner on, despite not having cooked dinner that night. It was a curious event but I didn’t think think much of it just continued to check it whenever I left and before bed to be cautious. On September 14, 2017, I was at a doctor’s appointment and was alerted of a fire at my home. A fire investigation concluded with the determination that the the stove’s dial was turned to approximately 11 o’clock position on the same burner that had previously had issues. The stove had not been used for almost a couple hours at the time of the fire and was not on when I left the house (I had checked all knobs and touched the burners before leaving because of what had happened the month before). The house was a loss and is uninhabitable until it is rebuilt and seven pets died from smoke inhalation and temperature.

The product, in the report: This is a black kitchen stove used solely for cooking family meals. It is a typical 30 inch, non built-in model. It has a digital board on the top back. Overall height is 46 3/4 inches.
The front large burner of my electric stove would not go down in temp when I tried to turn knob from High to lower temperature. It stayed on high and the cook top became very hot. A plastic spoon on the top even became too hot to pick up. This is not only dangerous because of the burn hazard, (grease spattered and water spattered the second time this happened). but also a fire hazard exists. I also observed that there was a snapping noise on the control panel where that switch is located.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire / Electrolux, GALLERY SERIES
I purchased this Frigidaire stove in 2008. Within months I noticed that the settings were unstable, it would readjust automatically. Eventually, LF burner stopped working, RF dual burner would go to high and I couldn’t turn it off. When I called Frigidaire to ask if they had a recall on this product they said no. so, after the problem caused a lots of damage to food and cook wear, and being in fear of serious consequences, I began unplugging it when not in use. About a year ago I decided to check once more to see if a recall had been placed on my stove and discovered that in fact there was, in 2009, after my initial inquiry. I wasn’t notified. I called Frigidaire to report the problems that I was having and arrangements were made, repair was completed. The problem has now reoccurred. RF dual burner stays on continuously so, I can no longer use my stove. (Major inconvenience!) I believe these stoves should have been replaced with a safer model rather than repaired. They are dangerous and could cause loss to property as well as human life.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Professional Freestanding smooth top electric range and convection oven model FPEF3081MFF SERIAL VF43810814
I have a Frigidaire professional smooth top electric free standing range. I came home from work to find the front left element on. I tried to turn it off and it would turn off for one second and then come right back on again on high. The only way I could turn it off was unplugging the unit. This was over 2 weeks ago. Frigidaire ‘customer care’ was absolutely no help whatsoever and were in fact repeatedly rude and unhelpful. Frankly impossible would be a better word. Google search indicated this is a known problem. Frigidaire authorized service technicians were not helpful either. They came out but the only service they provided was to plug the stove in. Yes, the burner came on and would not turn off. They unplugged the stove and they left but not before they charged me $90 for that “analysis.” I needed an expert “authorized service technician” for that? I am still waiting for the repair allegedly because the part is back ordered. I could have lost everything that day because of the element turning itself on. Its a fire hazard. The stove cost over a thousand dollars. I purchased it through AAFES (Air Force and Army Exchange). I don’t know where AAFES acquires their merchandise. I am troubled and frustrated by the complete lack of concern and response from the entities involved. I am a disabled veteran and right now the only way I can cook is on the BBQ. People should think twice about purchasing a fire hazard.

The product, in the report: Kitchen Stove / oven Frigidaire Series # VF0365312 Model # F F E F 3050L 5 J Used in home Black and stainless finish
After making dinner on Wednesday, August 2 we took our food out of her oven and put it on her counter when all of a sudden the electrical noise came from the back where the clock is on the device started to smoke and make a fire burning the bath tiles and the plastic colander that was above it on the wall hanging will extinguish the fire and unplug the device and the circuit breaker tripped the fuse and turned it off for almost about a half a month or so we know it is that when we were using the oven the faint smell of burning plastic but didn’t put anything together until the oven actually caught fire. I contacted the manufacture and he basically told me they could not help me at this time because the product was not recalled. I asked them how many peoples houses and had to burn or someone get hurt before they issued a recall on this product. They wanted me to pay for a technician to come out and look at the product at which I said no to because at that point it was gonna cost me a couple hundred dollars and I could use that towards a new oven. The item was purchased in 2012 so it’s not even that old

The product, in the report: Black and stainless steel electric oven range. Glass top range with a warming plate.
We cooked a casserole dinner tonight at about 6pm. We turned the oven off after removing the casserole. At 8:45pm the front glass of the oven door shattered into sheets, shards, and pieces. Glass continued to pop and disintegrate after hitting the floor. The glass prior to shattering had no obvious cracks or fissures nor was any blunt force applied to it. It seemed to break for no apparent reason.

The product, in the report: Electric Range
This caller purchased a mobile home with an electric stove in the mobile home when they obtained they were afraid to use in the beginning because the top was becoming so hot that when the temperature is 350 degrees in the oven the only time it was ever used he laid his hand on top of the stove and jerked it away then found that it was 200 degrees. He contacted the manufacturer who sent a tech to replaced various parts, after which the caller tested the range but the outside was still testing at 150 degrees on the outside. He has not used it since that day. There are no injuries being reported He is reporting this stove as severe burn hazard and is asking for it to be inspected and possibly recalled. He reported this to the manufacturer Thursday, June 15, 2017.

The product, in the report: Black and Stainless Steel glass top stove and oven.
As I was baking my stove/oven began popping and sparking. There was no error code and no warning. Smoke starts billowing out of the back of the stove and sparks fly from underneath. After removing the panel to the glass top stove (and cutting off the breaker) the internals of the stove are melted, this includes metal that now looks like solder. My fall has scorch marks and the stove is useless. I’m fortunate my home didn’t burn down.

The product, in the report: FRIGIDAIRE GLASS TOP ELECTRIC FREE-STANDING RANGE
While cooking on electric range top the burner would only set to high - even when a lower setting was indicated on control knob; this led to burnt food and pans. On several occasions the control knob was set to “off”, but the burner would remain on high. This is an extreme fire hazard and will be reported to local and State Fire Marshall’s Office. Frigidaire/Electrolux has a recall for exactly the same unsafe condition but claims my model is not included.

The product, in the report: Electric Oven Range
The corners of my Frigidaire electric oven range including the baking compartment door and the lower smaller compartment below are so extremely sharp around and underneath that they have gashed my leg skin-deep 2 times with serious and permanent scars to my legs to the extent that I can no longer wear my dresses without opaque pantyhoses. The third injury was not as bad as the other 2. One of the 2 bad ones happened on Thanksgiving. I have never seen any product so poorly and dangerously finished. If your feet ever get partially under the range while you are standing next to it, good luck if you are able to escape without injuries and scrapes from the sharp edges at the bottom. You need to send someone out to my house to see for yourselves because it is indescribable. I am a practicing attorney and I was treated by my husband who is a medical doctor. I am still very upset about the permanence of my injuries and the fact that I remain terrified on a daily basis to use or come near my oven range or let my children come near it. It’s almost as you could not avoid getting gashed around or near it, however hard you tried. They happened when I had the door open while loading the baking area. Incident Description:Please see above. Product: Electric Oven Ranger Product Description: Frigidaire Electric Range Injury Info: Injury, First Aid given to me by my husband who is a medical doctor.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire electric range model LFEF3019MWE
I was baking at 425 degrees with my Fridigaire Model LFEF3019MWE electric range when a ‘fritzzz’ sound emanated from the back and smoke came out and set off the fire alarm. If I had not been standing there to shut it off, I think it may have burned the house down. (The range did not shut off.) Eventually, it stopped heating. I contacted the company and asked if there had been any similar issues with this model, but they just responded with a generic answer telling me to check the circuit breakers. I feel that this range, which was not heavily used and only a few years old, is defective and could cause a fire.

The product, in the report: electric range
The consumer used the left front burner for a few minutes to boil water and she used the oven for approximately one hour at 350 degrees. She then turned everything off and states that the fan was still running. She later returned to the kitchen because the fan was still running and she noticed the oven was off but the stove top was not cool. She left and returned 30 minutes later because the fan was still running. She noticed the stove top was hot but the control knobs were on the “Off” position. The consumer unplugged the range and waited a few minutes. When she plugged it back in she noticed that the left front burner immediately turned on. The consumer has left the range unplugged.
The consumer contacted the firm today and informed them of the incident. The consumer was told that the firm has not received reports of this nature and they told her the range was out of warranty so they were not able to provide a free repair. The consumer was also told that the firm would have to send their own technician to examine the range and determine whether the problem is a manufactures defect.
The consumer indicated that the plastic front panel was replaced because it was scratched but there haven’t been any mechanical repairs.
The consumer said there was a prior incident when the a burner turned on by itself but she doesn’t recall the incident.
The consumer uses the unit once a day.

The consumer was sitting in the living room when she heard a loud bang noise and when she walked in the kitchen she noticed the middle oven glass had shattered. She indicated that the outer and inner glass is still intact. The consumer said she was not using the range when the incident occurred but she had used it earlier in the day.
The consumer then contacted the firm to inform them of the incident and ask them to repair the range free of charge. However, the consumer was told that they could not provide repairs for free because the warranty had expired but they could sell her the glass and recommend a technician to replace it.
The consumer said she has not repaired the range because she is on a fixed income and cannot afford it.
There are no other issues or prior incident.
The consumer said she used the oven a few times a week.
The consumer doesn’t remember where she purchased the range from and she believes it was purchased 5 or 6 years ago.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Electric Range
This is about my Frigidaire Electric Range Model# LGEF3043KFN, Serial# VF43109707. which we bought from Lowes on 10/1/2014. After I used the self-cleaning for the first time, the outside glass exploded on February 18th.
Since I have never used this feature, I pulled out my manual and followed the instructions.I had pulled out all the racks, wiped up the bottom as instructed. When I set the cleaning time, I changed the cleaning from 3 hours to 2 hours because I felt that the range wasn’t that dirty. The door locked and it started cleaning. After about 2 hours, the oven beeped, like the manual said it would. All the lights were off, showing the cleaning had stopped. Knowing it would still be too hot to do anything with, I left the kitchen and while sitting in the leaving room, about 15-30 minutes later, I heard a big explosion from the kitchen, I went in and there was glass everywhere with a big hole in the middle of the oven door. The inside door glass was still whole, it was just the outside glass that was broken. I was just thankful that I wasn’t in the kitchen at the time, or I would of been hit with this glass. We bought this range from Lowes and luckily we bought the extended warranty (5 years). It took them almost 1 month to respond. The guy told us this is happening to a lot of ovens after the self-cleaning. He had no idea as to why. We are now in wait time to see if he can get the whole door. If not he will be replacing the glass. This worries me greatly.

The product, in the report: It is Frigidaire electric free standing range with ES300 control panel, smooth cook top, self cleaning. It is stainless steel with black trim.
We were using our range in a typical way, preparing dinner. It worked fine. Later that night we turned it on to warm water on the stove and none of the burners would heat and the oven would not heat. We were able to pull out the stove and look at the back wiring the next day and the red wire coming from the main power cord was burned and broken at the site where it attaches to the unit. The white, green and black wires are all fine, clean and normal. The red wire has obvious burn damage and scorch marks that ascend approximately 3-4 inches above the connection site.

I want cooking dinner tonight and had just turned around to get some some additional ingredients to add to what I was cooking on the oven top when I head this VERY loud explosive sound. When I turned around the oven door on the oven had blown open. It opened it all the way as if you pulled it down to put something really big into it. The glass was still intact but the explosion was so loud my ears are still ringing. I don’t feel safe using this appliance any longer. If I had been in front of the door, I would have had some bad injuries. Thankfully I was not. Later we now discovered even though the oven was turned off it continued to stay on at the temperature (350 degrees) our dinner was cooking.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Electric range/stove model # FEFL79CGA SERIAL# VF72455625 ES340 Control, Self cleaning oven with ceramic cooktop. Purchased in 2008?
We had been away on vacation for several weeks. When we returned, we found that our Frigidaire range/stove was malfunctioning in a dangerous way. The stove and all its knobs were clearly turned to” off” (no, we did not leave the Stove on!), but the large front left burner was flaming red hot, hotter than I had ever seen it! I tried to “turn off” the burner by wiggling the appropriate knob, but the burner get kept getting hotter and hotter. Because I could not get the burner to turn off, my husband had to go down and turn off the breaker to power down the stove. We left the breaker off all night.
When we got up in the morning, I asked him to reset the breaker so we could see what happened. Again, the knobs were all in the “off” position. As soon as the breaker was turned on, the burner again became a flaming red hot, and it could not be turned off. We just turned off the breaker and unplugged the stove!
This is extremely dangerous, and we are just thankful that this stove did not burn our house down while we were away!!!

I own a Frigidaire Range/Oven Model fef368gch. I was simmering a pot roast on the front right burner and left the kitchen to do other work while it simmered for several hours. Upon returning to the kitchen, the entire house was filled with smoke as the burner never switched down to simmer and remained on high, burning off all the liquids. After cleaning up the incident, I returned the same pot to the same burner and put it on simmer to watch. It did the same thing. This is a definite fire hazard. Other Frigidaire models are recalled for the same thing. I believe this model should be also.

Caller is reporting that he is experiencing similar problems with his range as 09-333. Hazard: Depending on the model, the surface heating elements can: 1) turn on spontaneously without being switched on; 2) fail to turn off after being switched off; or, 3) heat to different temperatures than selected. This poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Caller indicated that the range would not turn off while in use and the breaker was used to switch the unit off. He stated that after turning the circuit breaker back on the range came on with the unit control panel being off and it was extremely hot. There were no prior incidents.
(2/9/17) The manufacturer was contacted and they informed him that his serial number was not included in the recall and could not assist him. Caller feels that this range should be recalled because it could have caused a house fire.

The product, in the report: FRIGIDAIRE ELECTRIC RANGE
Last night I turned our electric oven on and set the thermostat to 400 degrees. After being on for only 3 - 4 minutes I seen smoke coming out of the vent. When I opened the Oven door the oven was full of thick black smoke and the Lower Heating Element was on fire ( 3 -5 inch flames) and had burnt in two pieces. I closed the oven door and turned the oven off this extinguished the fire. Once the Oven cooled we realized that the heating element coming from the power source had acted as a cutting torch causing a hole the size of a 50 cent piece to be burnt out of the bottom of the oven. The oven was clean and there was no liner or aluminum foil in the bottom of the oven. I believe this is a malfunction. In other ovens I have owned in the past when electric heating elements burn out it automatically turns off the power source. If I had not been there I believe this would have resulted in huge fire. I contacted Frigidaire to report the incident but of course I could only speak to a Customer Service person who knows very little about Electric Ovens and how very Dangerous this is. I would not want this to happen to anyone else that is why I am contacting CPSC. Below is the Stove information and I hope to hear from a representative from CPSC soon. My frigidaire smooth cooktop range turns itself ON. Also, when it is turned ON, it will not turn off. Also, when it is turned ON it will change its temp setting. This has been going on for years, but only this week has gotten so bad that we had to turn off power to the unit at the breaker box for fear that it would cause a fire. Several pots and pans have been damaged due to this malfunction. And now we must replace the whole unit. I have researched this and found that over 200,000 similar units from the same maker have been recalled for the same reason. I do not understand how this unit was not included in the recall. model # FEC30S6ABF SER # NF80621670 FEB 2008

The product, in the report: Frigidaire pro smooth cook top model fpec3085ks
I bought a frigidaire cook top model fpec3085ks 2 1/2 years ago which worked well until 11/16. The cook top turned itself on at 2 am and melted a food steamer I left on the cook top. Yes I know not to smart of me. I could not turn the burner off no matter what I tried and ended up flipping the breaker. I called customer support and was told this is not their problem as they only offer a 1 year warranty. So in short I almost lost my house by fire I lost a $850 cook top and a $250 food steamer. I will spend a lot of time posting this warning on every blog, review board and web site that will listen. Do not by from this dishonest company that knowingly sell dangerous products. If you don’t believe me just goggle “frigidaire cook top turned itself on” you will find this is not an uncommon occurrence. Thanks for reading.

No one hurt Made Dec 6, 2016, sent to the company Dec 14, 2016, published by CPSC Dec 29, 2016
The product, in the report: Frigidaire Gallery Electric Range ES200/300 Controls, Self-Cleaning Oven with Ceramic Cooktop. Model #GLEF378AQB. Serial #VF13013618. Purchased new in 2001.
I turned on my Frigidaire Gallery electric range oven to 325 degrees to warm up some leftovers in glass/[REDACTED]pans. (Model #GLEF378AQB, Serial #VF13013618, bought new in 2001 by the previous owner of my home.) In 30-45 minutes, I heard hissing and popping coming from the oven and when I opened the oven door to see what was happening, the food was a charred mess, the glass/pyrex pans were black with soot, and there was black smoke coming out of the pans. I could not understand what I was seeing, but I immediately turned off the oven! I then went to deal with the smoke detector going off - opening windows, turning on ceiling fans and microwave exhaust fan above the stove. I was able to gingerly remove the smoking hot glass/pyrex plans without burning myself but then realized that the oven was not going off! The oven coils in the bottom were still burning red hot! I could not get the oven to turn off! I was not sure I could pull the oven out away from the wall by myself to get it unplugged, so considered calling a neighbor or the fire department for help. But then I remembered that I could run down to the basement and turn off the breaker to the range in our electrical fuse box. Problem solved - but no working stove anymore as it could no longer be trusted and was now a fire hazard. I later realized that what must hage happened was that the oven burner coils had never stopped burning red hot when the oven reached its preheated 325 degrees - it had just kept burning! Looking online, I discovered there had been an earlier recall for Frigidaire ranges for the very problem I experienced but ALSO for stovetop burners turning on spontaneously and/or not being able to be turned off! Alas, my calls to Electrolux and Frigidaire have been TOTALLY unsatisfying as they say that my particular model and serial number combination was not included in that earlier recall. (The serial number does fit into the range as does the purchase date.) Again, looking online it is clear that many others have been experiencing these very same problems with their Frigidaire electric ranges from before the recall, through the recall, and up to the present time. AND, folks who have gotten the “free recall repair” continued to have proboems -- the fix did NOT fix the problem. So, in addition to the electric range not being trusted any longer, any “free repair” can also not be trusted. Something needs to be done. At a minimum - the public needs to be warned of this very real fire hazard in their homes.

The product, in the report: Electric stove Frigidaire Professional Stainless Steel Model # FPEF3081KF
On report # 20121107-3591A-1282233 date 11/07/2012 I reported a very dangerous incident with the mentioned stove which during the morning it was found on. After the report Electrolux on ticket [REDACTED] Rev D a visit was done and services # [REDACTED] control # 59033; service #6387336 control #59839 was performed on the mother board ES-1000Range Control. I asked for an exchange of a new stove to what they said NO. I had worries about possible future incidents. I was not far away from the reality, less than four years around mid October 2016, the same incident happened but this time I was washing dishes and suddendly I percive a smell of burning, when I turn my face the area where the stoves control are was smoking and the stove turned on by itself, the same experience. Thank God I was present and reacted inmediately to unplug the stove. Knowing that the guarantee has expired I called Frigidaire and told me sorry but guarantee is over. I called US consumer in order to get advise which they send me paperwork for the report. Due to health issues I was not able to submit report papers before, and now I am doing the report via internet. This is a very dangerous experience because Thank God I was at home; but just to think what could of happened if I was not present and the entire kitchen, wood cabinets and things on top of stove caused a fire... It is imperative, that these products are not available to continue used by customers, because they are risks for health, safety and inclusive death. I am requesting for Electrolux to recognize the product was a danger and should have exchange the product. I still have the damaged and dangerous stove in my kitchen.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Professional 30’ Self-Cleaning Free-standing Electric Convection Range, Stainless Steel. Model and serial numbers listed below.
The oven was turned on to 325 degrees to bake cookies. Appx. nine minutes later the door was opened to check on the cookies and they were still raw. Moments later there were large sparks behind the stove and “F10” displayed on the digital readout and a beeping sound was heard. “CANCEL” was pressed numerous times to no avail. The oven instantly became extremely hot and the cookies began burning/smoking. The circuit breakers were manually tripped and the problem was stopped. A lot of smoke was inside the stove from the burning food and a very strong burning plastic smell was emanating from the oven control panel area where the sparks were seen. The stove was pulled from the wall and unplugged. The home was aired out and fortunately there was no fire or smoke damage. In my opinion, if someone had not been standing right next to the stove when this happened, due to the rapid overheating of the stove, a fire would have erupted.

This was a problem that was repaired in 2015 and is now happening again; same element that was repaired. The exact burner has once again turned on by itself over the past week a number of times. This is becoming a true fire hazard that is dangerous. Within 5 days 2 plastic grocery bags have melted on this cook range sending fumes through my home and setting off fire alarms. This range top turned on by itself. We were stunned both times. This is not a fluke; it is a fire hazard that is brewing once again. I have a Frigidaire cooktop. If the front right burner is used it will flair up to high even if on low. If turned off when flairing up it flairs up while off. The dial has to be turned on and off several times to stop it from being on when turned off. This was noted right after the warranty was up. Frigidaire stated there was nothing to be done on their end. I have since learned there is a recall on other models for the same thing. Mine is Model FEC30S6ABF. Serial NF70111971. This was purchased in 11/2007. Please consider this in the recall. It is a huge safety issue and has almost caused fires in our house, has caused severely charred cookware and burnt food. This has been happening since 2008.

The product, in the report: Black Frigidaire smooth-top electric range Model Number FFEF3013LBH.
We purchased a Frigidaire oven Model Number FFEF3013LBH Serial Number VF53412766 on 8/11/2015 from Menards in Mankato, MN. Shortly before the one year warranty was about to expire, I was taking a hot item out of the oven when the entire oven door fell apart. The handle and top vent on the door fell off and each of the 2 panes of glass went in separate directions. I burned my arm in the incident. I contacted Frigidaire and they sent out a repair person. The repair person informed me that ordering new parts to repair the oven would be “a waste of my time”. He bent the thin metal framework that held the glass back into shape and taped the glass back into that framework. He then pieced the oven door back together and screwed it back together using its original parts. I advised him that we have a small child in the house and that this is a major safety risk. I specifically requested a new oven, refund, or a viable solution that would not put our family at risk. He advised me that there was nothing he could do and left. This was days before the warranty was set to expire, and was clearly a measure to avoid addressing the issue until after the warranty did expire. Since that point in time, the oven door has once again fallen apart during use, this time burning my husband’s arm. We now have an oven that we are unable to use and aren’t sure what to do with as it will be an imminent danger to anyone who uses it.

I called Frigidaire and they quoted me a price for the glass. She said they have heard of this happening. I asked her if they were doing anything about it and she indicated they were not. I asked her what would happen if it hit a child in the face ect. She had no idea and no concern. I am concerned that this is something that happens and noone is doing anything about it. I asked her if I fixed it how am I supposed to know this will not happen again and someone will not get hurt. I am concerned for others with this model. The product, in the report: Electric Range
(9/1/16) The consumer’s wife turned on the oven to bake at 350 degrees and approximately 15 minutes later, the consumer’s wife noticed that the metal frame was extremely hot to the touch. The consumer noticed for approximately a month the oven had been overcooking food or cooking at a faster time than it usually would. The consumer then turned off the range and unplugged it. The consumer states that the control board has burn damages.
The consumer then searched online for trouble shooting and found that the problem could be the sensor probe. The consumer ordered a replacement on [REDACTED] and states that the supplier was Electrolux.
(9/7/16 approximately) The consumer installed the part and turned on the oven to see if the oven would overheat. The consumer states the range became extremely hot after a few minutes and he noticed an error code on the control panel. The consumer states that the error code was F10, which means a runaway temperature fault. The consumer searched online and found that he needed to replace the electronic control board.
The consumer ordered a replacement on www.amazon.com and states that the supplier was Electrolux.
The consumer received the part and noticed an extra part was included. The consumer states the document stated it was a “special electrical filter designed to improve the performance of the system” and the consumer believes the firm provides this additional part because they know the ranges are overheating. The consumer believes the firm should issue a recall on the ranges and inform other consumer about the potential fire hazard.
The consumer contacted the firm’s warranty customer service dept. (800-944-9044) to express his safety concerns and the consumer was transferred to the Recall Department. The consumer was told that his range was not recalled and they would send his comments to a superior.

The product, in the report: Oven Range
This unit is a safety hazard!
The consumer indicates that she had food in the oven that was supposed to be there for one hour. Approximately thirty minutes later the food was burnt and smoke was being emitted from the unit; there was a distinct smell of burnt wires. The consumer also noticed an F10 error code displayed on the panel. The fire alarms in her home went off. The consumer tried turning the oven range off but it would not do so; she eventually had to switch the breaker off.
The consumer has used the stovetop since then but the oven overheats and does not turn off.
The consumer states that she uses the stovetop once or twice daily while the oven is used once or twice weekly.
The consumer plans on keeping the unit for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.
There were electrical sparks emitting from back of range!

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Electric Range ES200/300 controls, self cleaning, ceramic top
The model # GLEFS77CBB has some sort of defect in the panel. It came on by itself and stayed on all night long. The house was so hot. It has done this a few times now. Also, when using the timer, a pop type of explosion happened behind the left side of the panel. We are all scared to even use it now but I wanted to let someone know as this is very hazardous. We were sleeping and had no idea...

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Glass Flat Top Range model PLEF398CCB, serial No. VF31536496. Stainless Steel stove and convection oven.
Frigidaire stove burners (2) went on High setting and would not cut off. Had to shut power off to stove at circuit breaker panel.
Returned power to stove and we now have various degrees of problems using stove. Burners work 90% of time and convection oven and broiler are working it seems, but stove bake mode is not working or barely works.
In addition, the control panel for the stove is almost non-functional. Cannot reset the clock, use any advanced features or perform the stove CLEAN function.
Basically, we are scared of the stove and there is no “putting the potatoes on to boil” and doing other things. We must watch stove constantly.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Smooth Top Electric Range Model FFEF3048LSF S/N VF10447485
Frigidaire Smooth Top Electric Range. Model FFEF3048LSF, S/N VF10447465. Light indicating a burner is on stays on all the time. You cannot get it to go off. When you turn any of the other 3 burners, the center of the Left Front burner comes on also and heats up and stays on for a few seconds and then goes off. I contacted Frigidaire about this in May of 2016 but received no response from them. When I check Frigidaire for recalls on their ranges, it tells me that there is no recall on this Model. I am concerned that this is a fire hazard and should be recalled and fixed before my kitchen and home catches on fire. Help!

This consumer is reporting his electric range that he purchased from a retailer in Minnesota on July 4th, 2016 with delivery July 8th, 2016. The caller noticed immediately that the top portion of the range becomes what he describes as unrealistically hot. He said that it even hurt his hand to touch it. He is reporting this incident as a burn and potential fire hazard. There are no injuries being reported. He contacted the manufacturer the third week of August 2016 but was simply read a notice that the rang top and casing could become extremely hot. The caller states that nothing on his range alerted him to this occurrence.

The product, in the report: Electric Stovetop
08/22/2016 - The consumer indicates that she woke up in the morning and when she went to the kitchen she noticed that her stovetop was on even though the knob was not turned to the position it needed to be for the unit to be on. The consumer does not know how long the unit had been on for but was thankful that nothing was on top of it that could have exacerbated a fire. The burner that had turned on was the front and left.
Prior to the last incident, the consumer states that the same thing happened however in the morning; the unit had been on even though the knob was off. The burner that had turned on was the front and right. Both times the consumer believes the burners were on high because of the bright red color of the heat elements.
The consumer indicates that she uses her unit approximately two to three times daily.
The consumer plans on keeping the unit for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: Kenmore Electric range model number 790.9417.
I purchased a Kenmore Electric range model number 790.9417, manufacturer Fridgaire from Sears in October 2015. In March 2016 the glass door exploded and shattered in a million pieces. The product was still covered by warranty and they replaced the glass door. Fast forward another 5 months and the same thing happened again. The glass door shattered after the oven was used for baking. They are coming again to replace the glass door as the product is still covered by warranty but have not offered any reasonable explanation as to why this happened.
