    My Samsung refrigerator has never worked properly and it has worked even less after a Samsung technician came and replaced the ice maker and twin cooling system. The refrigerator will not stay cold. Then, we started finding plastic pieces in our ice. These are pieces that have broken off inside the ice maker and are making it into our drinks. Thankfully the biggest piece was found in my drink and not one of my toddlers.

    The product, in the report: French door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom

    2017 - 2019: The food in the refrigerator began to develop mold and the temperature inside would stay cold. The consumer has been discarding food, because of this issue, since that time.

    Within the first 1 – 2 years of owning the refrigerator, the dealer exchange it, because of the problems mentioned above.

    8/2022: She had the condenser replace, because the refrigerator was not maintaining a cold temperature. The consumer had to consistently discard food, due to this issue.

    2022: The consumer called the manufacturer and their rep. told her it was no longer under warranty and she had to pay for any service and repairs.

    2022: She also contacted the dealer about this issue and they told her the same thing, it was no longer under warranty and she had to pay for any service and rapairs.

    The condenser repair cost was $311.00 (service charge $200.00 & the condenser cost $80.00), with tax added to both of the charges.

    The consumer and her family were at risk of eating spoiled food and becoming sick.

    The freezer portion of my refrigerator has issues keeping food frozen causing potential food contamination. This malfunction was related to the known defect of the icemaker.

    Samsung replaced my ice maker on June 23, 2022. It failed to dispense ice again due to ice build up on the interior. They sent a tech to repair/replace my second ice maker which was icing up and not able to dispense on Sept 19, 2022. After the tech left the ice maker began to drip from the dispenser and the lower right part of the freezer began to have fluctuating temperatures for +22* to +8* all of which are unsafe for proper freezing. The exterior display was set by the tech at 0*. I am monitoring the freezer and removed perishable items to a working freezer and I’m hoping they haven’t already become spoiled.

Would not refund and was told I had to have two repairs before a refund would be issued. In the 2 years since the repairs started, I have lost hundreds of dollars in spoiled food, and still have a broken icemaker. Second repair completed 11/29/2021. Issues persist.

Thermostat appears not be working - door temperature indicates 34F and actually interior temperature is around 51F degrees. Deicer is also not working. Ice maker leaks water onto floor - we have shutoff.

    Samsung RF28HMEDBSR refrigerator states the temperature is 34 degrees, when, in fact, it is running in the low 50s. We have already turned off the ice maker due to constant problems and leaking water on the floor. This cycle continues to happen of freezing up - the defrost is not working correctly - about every two weeks now I have to manually remove the ice.

    Hello, I purchased a RF261BEAESR/AA Samsung Refrigerator in 2016. In 2020, the back panel froze up and the fridge stopped working properly. I argued with their customer service until they provided a free repair. Now, the panel is broken again. I have been monitoring the temps with a thermometer I purchased, and they fluctuate above food safe temps even though my refrigerator says the temp is 34 degrees. My fridge is defective, and it is a health hazard, but Samsung will not repair it or give me a refund. I am concerned for the safety of my family--my husband has had stomach problems and we think it is related to our fridge not working correctly.

    My Samsung refrigerator is experiencing 3 known defects that should require Samsung to issue a full refund. These defects represent a health concern for myself and my family. These are well documented defects in Samsung products that negate any manufacturers warranty time frame and violate implied warranty. The product was sold with known defects. Samsung put this product into the stream of commerce knowing the defects exist. This is well documented dating back well before my purchase. A service technician was brought to my house, and paid for by me, with full knowledge that these defects could not be fixed. Specifically the problems are the icemaker not functioning properly and the main cooling area and freezer not holding temperature low enough to keep food safe from harmful bacteria growth. I have attempted to work with Samsung on numerous occasions, but they refuse to offer an acceptable solution.

    Caller stated that the refrigerator has a design flaw which causes the evaporator coil fan to cease from operating properly. He stated that the unit would freezes up and then melt water to the floor. He stated that at times the unit gets so warm and causes the food contents to spoil.

    The manufacturer was contacted and he was advised that a service technician would be sent out, however, he feels that they may not resolve the issue. He stated that he has requested for the company to send him the part but they refuse to pay for the service technician that is being sent out.

    Caller feels that this unit is unsafe and should be reported.

    I am one of at least hundreds who have this poorly designed defrost system causing freeze up + shut down of evaporator fan.

    Over the last 5 years, our Samsung Refrigerator has been having issues with the ice maker, leaking puddles of water, and most recently, shutting itself off and having all of our food spoil. I have contacted Best Buy, and they have sent multiple repair people who have replaced the maker repeatedly. When I called them today my ‘extended warranty’ was expired. I was directed to call Samsung directly since these particular issues have become the new norm. Samsung was only willing to send someone out to address the ice maker but I would have to pay to have someone diagnose and address any other issues. I am not the only customer with this issue...there are thousands and Samsung isn’t willing to do the right thing.

    I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator RF28HMEDBSR in November of 2014. I have had continuing issues with the icemaker freezing and now with the Twin Cooling system. Both issues are currently in litigation with class action lawsuits. Samsung has declined to do anything to the icemaker and has sent a repair person once for the Twin Cooling system earlier this year. It went out again in less than 6 months after repair. I contacted Samsung again and now they want me to pay for the repair because they will only cover it if its 3 months after. I have also contacted the NJ BBB to try and get them involved. Samsung has not been compliant with recalling these refrigerators. There is a noticeable difference in temperature when the cooling system malfunctions.

    I bought a home with Samsung appliances in the remodel. They were brand new and stickers till on them, specifically the refrigerator. The day of my walk through 7/20 the fridge was not working. After a long few days and being bumped in customer service to the ppl who actually bought the fridge (which does not make sense as I am the homeowner and conveyed in sales of the home) I was able to get a repair company out. They advised the fridge needed replacement to Samsung in the phone and they refused. He said it’s more than he can do. Second and third repairs came out and they replaced the mother board on a brand new never used fridge. This fridge was made 3/20 delivered 5/1/20. The issues didn’t stop, 11/21 I requested another repair to a loud grinding noise and condensation on items in the fridge. Another repair center can out and said it was the compressor but there was nothing he could do until it breaks and left. I got a thermometer, an expensive one for my fridge to monitor cooling at this point. I called again June 2022 with noise and cooling issues. I also have medication that are pre loaded and to be stored in the fridge. In June I took my medication and had severe reactions which I never had, i believe it was cooling issue related and spoiled meds are now in my body. Fridge is hitting 45-48 degrees on a daily basis again called Samsung. They said to submit for new meds, after explaining this is preloaded in my body I cannot inject more and cannot do anything but ride this out. I have had stomach issues. Spoiled food on a daily basis, food in freezer is always an ice coating on packages, and I demanded a refund at this point as they sold a defective product, and demanded a refund. They did not do this, but set up another service call #6 now. They called to schedule and said they will ship the parts to me. I said how without looking at what is wrong, word for word “we have the issue often so we know what parts to order and have there for the efficient repairs.” they shipped parts to my home. The tech arrived a week after calling and came out, did not repair anything and left the parts saying it was a sensor for humidity. He checked my thermometer and it was collabrated to his, so the readings of 48 degrees were accurate. He rebooted hte fridge and placed order for new part. Weeks go by and assurion constantly scheduling and canceling appts. He finally comes back out at the end of June and replaces all parts this time, not just the one with the issue. I called Samsung again the next day complaining the cooling was not working humidity is always high and fridge hitting high Temps more now. They said they will set up a repair. I still have not heard from them. As far as food I am eating less than what is going bad very quickly. Taking all this time off work for them to send techs who do not show it they cancel the day of. My meds cannot be stored and I have to coincide my med pick up with the pharmacy and my due date so I don’t get sick again. This has got to stop and they need to be pulling their products from shelves. My life is on the line bc of a fridge. They have still not shown back up for repair number 8!

    Samsung Refrigerator defect with the ice maker and leaking water which caused mold in my refrigerator. I had to have it hauled per my Kidney Transplant doctor. Since I am immune compromised due to the Kidney Transplant and the Transplant Anti-rejection Medications that I have to take, the refrigerator could not remain in my home as it could cause me severe illness or death. Samsung sending a technician to service my refrigerator would have been useless because they would not be able to eliminate all the mold. Samsung told me that because one of their technicians did not come out to check it out to determine if it needs to be replaced, they could not compensate me. Very disappointing also because I found out that a lot of people have had a problem with their Samsung’s French Door refrigerators and there is a Class Action Lawsuit requesting a recall.

    We bought our Samsung Refrigerator, model rf31fmesbsr, about 6 + years ago. It was a “splurge purchase” french door refrigerator with an Icemaker and Water Dispenser on the door. We have been struggling with it ever since we purchased it. While it was still under warranty, we had them replace the ice -maker; it worked for almost a year, until the warranty expired. Then, about every 5-6 weeks the icemaker would freeze up. If we wanted ice, we would have to defrost it with a hairdryer, chip out the frozen accumulation, and wait 24 hours for it to start making ice again. Now, the entire refrigerator is accumulating ice on the back wall. I am worried about the safety and integrity of our food. The fridge is making a strange groaning noise, turning itself off when we open the fridge. The frozen items in the freezer are not frozen. (The ice cream, for example is soft.) This first started about three weeks ago. We had to remove all the food, and the shelving and defrost the refrigerator itself- not just the freezer! As of today, we are going to have to remove the food and shelving again to do it all over, Again. I am really afraid because the refrigerator sounds like it’s just going to stop working. I didn’t realize there were so many people having problems with this exact refrigerator. I thought it was just us and our refrigerator, until last night. I went onto the internet to look up the Owner’s Manual, to see if there were any recommendations. I saw a news report on [REDACTED] detailing complaints about this exact Samsung refrigerator. So apparently hundreds - if not thousands - of people have spent untold hours of their weekends and evenings defrosting their refrigerators. If our fridge just stops working, or stops cooling our food correctly, we are not prepared to buy another one right now. Is Samsung responsible in any way?

    Our Samsung French Door Refrigerator is defective. Model number RF24FSEDBSR. Ever since it was purchased, the ice maker would freeze up and stop making ice and the back of the fridge would freeze up, blocking the cooling fan and creating cooling issues. The food in the fridge spoils and does not keep at food save cool levels. Water will accumulate inside the refrigerator underneath the crisper drawers, which allows for mold to grow inside the fridge. After years of dealing with these issues, by manual defrosts, constantly cleaning the fridge, tossing out spoiled food, and replacing parts, we called 1-800-Samsung. Samsung said that I could only have one issue fixed at a time and although I have multiple issues, I can only submit a ticket for a second repair after the first has been completed. So I scheduled a free repair for the ice maker on 7/29/2022. I called the following week to try to schedule a repair for the ice build up and cooling issues and Samsung said that repairs would not covered by Samsung. Although this is a KNOWN DEFECT of Samsung refrigerators, they refused to offer a complimentary service and wanted me to pay for repairs. They argued that the only known defect and class action lawsuit is about the ice maker, and my cooling issues were not common.

    Our Samsung refrigerator stopped working multiple times after paid repairs. This refrigerator was advertised as a premium product, and the price tag that came with it was $3,899. A certain level of reliability is expected at this price point. The fridge has turned out to be a total lemon, and unacceptable to be sold from any reputable company. The ice machine stopped working and after being fixed, and the entire ice machine part, it just broke again. Now the entire cooling system is leaking and the cost to fix this is over $900. It stopped cooling our food. Its a very difficult repair and the repair technician would need to re solder a new coolant system to the fridge which is difficult. As a result, weve had breast milk turn sour, and our kids have gotten sick from food thats been contaminated with harmful bacteria due to faulty product.

    I watch young children for friends and relatives regularly and I purchased a New Samsung fridge model number RF18HFENBSG/US in August of 2020. I cought the fridge this past Friday letting my food and milk products getting up to 64 degrees and up to 40 in the freezer. Investigation found that the display temperature was frozen showing safe temperatures dispite the actual temps being in the danger zone. If I had not caught this I could have easily given spoiled milk to my children and others .... Samsung was no help and claimed the fridge was working properly after a phone call. I found by unplugging and replugging the outlet the fridge would work for 6 hours or so at a time then the same problem of falsely displaying safe temperatures but actually having dangerous temps returned. I contacted a local fridge repair service and he said Samsung is notorious for this and the main PCB board was most likely shot. If the fridge guy knew about it It can’t be a one off and must be somewhat widespread.... Samsung should make customers aware of this potential safety issue!!!!

    I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF28HMEDBSR in 2014. After one year I started having problems with the ice maker freezing up. Subsequently the refrigerator would stop cooling and I had several instances where food spoiled. I learned through researching the topic on support groups and class action lawsuits that an engineering defect was causing ice to build on the cooling coil and block the circulation fan causing temperatures to rise to unsafe levels leading to food spoilage. Samsung made it very difficult to obtain a courtesy service and only offered the service after numerous phone calls. When the issue reappeared following the service being performed Samsung offered a refund that was later refused to offer and refused to offer any courtesy service calls. The representative claimed that any refund would require more diagnostics from a certified repair technician, however, Samsung refused to provide the service and insisted that I would have to pay the cost of service out of pocket.

    My Samsung refrigerator French door with freezer on the bottom. I first noticed that the drawers inside the fridge began to leak water. That was the first problem then the freezer would over freeze I would have to defrost it weekly, after doing that it would take days to get cold again. Eventually the freezer part stopped getting cold all together. Next the refrigerator part stop getting cold. Now resulting in having to get a new refrigerator my refrigerator is barely four years old and was very expensive.

    I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator, model number RF28R7351SG, November of 2020. In December of 2021, my refrigerator was not cooling and was displaying different temperatures on the inside of the refrigerator and my thermometer which I had purchased after noticing cooling issues. I have been asking for a refund since it was only one year old and already having cooling issues when I contacted Samsung but was denied service and refund because we had covid at the time. My family and I have been having a lot of stomach related illnesses and now I am blaming the unsafe and fluctuating temps in the refrigerator. On June 19, 2022, I made another report because cooling temps are continuously changing, and I have been having to dispose of my groceries because they get spoiled. It is August 1, 2022, and I have not received my refund or a tech to come and see the problem. My son is now receiving treatment due to an infection in his intestines which is causing bleeding and Samsung refuses to give me my money back to purchase a refrigerator that will function as it should or send someone quickly to fix the issues.

    We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator RF4287 HARS/XAA; S/N 102043BD515525T on 09/11/2013 for $2,160.64 from Sears. From the start, we have had continued problems with the ice maker freezing up and leaking (replaced after service calls). And most importantly, just after the one-year warranty expired the refrigerator stopped maintaining temperatures recommended for cold food storage by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The outside keypad will read the temperature is 36, while a thermometer inside reads anywhere between 40-46. We usually know when it’s happening as milk spoils quickly and OJ tastes warm. We have had to replace thousands of dollars of food and medication (we have 4 children). We keep meats and items we don’t use frequently in our basement refrigerator so we will not have to replace them. We know what food safety temperatures should be as my husband sells commercial refrigeration to the supermarket industry. We have had at least 5 service calls (Sears sent someone out twice and we have paid out of pocket/warranty for the others). We called Samsung in 2020 and they said it was out of warranty and we would have to call someone (to try and fix a known defect!) The back of the inside of the unit freezes up and the fan cannot work to maintain safe temperatures for food storage. Every 60-90 days, we have to remove all of the food in the refrigerator and freezer (most food has to be disposed of because it is no longer safe to consume, ie, Mayo, milk, cream, deli, eggs). We have replaced the fan and the ice maker (which now only makes crushed ice when and if it decides to make ice). These defects are well-known by Samsung, Consumers, BBB, social media outlets, news outlets, etc. It is UNLAWFUL that Samsung continues to be allowed to sell these units with known defects and not be held accountable by NJBB, Consumer Product Safety Commission, and New Jersey Consumer Affairs. I want a full refund for my refrigerator and Samsung to be held accountable by law.

    Samsung has known for years now that their French door refrigerators do not maintain safe, cold temperature for safe food storage. Every few months my fridge’s internal temperature gets dangerously high and we end up with spoiled milk and food, which is dangerous to consume because sometimes you cannot smell or see that the food product was spoiled. What happens is that the evaporator panel freezes up and then freezes up the fan that pulls cold air from the freezer up into the refrigerator portion of the unit. You have to pull the remove everything from the refrigerator, clean the entire refrigerator, unscrew the panel from the back inside wall of the refrigerator and defrost the evaporator panel with a hairdryer. This takes a few hours and you have to find a safe, cold place in which to keep your food. Of course, most of the time this happens in the summer when every cooling appliance is taxed due to increased heat loads.

    Samsung has known about this problem for years and chooses not to do anything about it. The Consumer Safety Commission should force Samsung to call a recall where they have to repair every malfunctioning refrigerator. Samsung knows about this problem to the tune that they have created a sensor repair package. This repair cost me close to $400.00 for a refrigerator for which I paid $2,700.00. Not fair to the consumer and puts people’s health at risk by possibly consuming spoiled, tainted food.

To solve this, you have to take out all the food and the shelves from the fridge, take off the evaporator panel and use a hairdryer to clear the ice ball. Otherwise, the fridge won’t cool properly. A ticket was started on thursday, i called friday morning and no service ticket was generated.     I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator about 7-8 years ago. After about 1 year, the ice maker kept freezing up. I had to use a hair dryer every month to defrost all the ice buildup. This went on for over 7 years. I called Samsung again and they said they redesigned the unit and would repair it free of charge. They did do that, just took 7 years to do so. Recently, I have been having trouble keeping the u it at a safe temperature. It does not cool below 63 degrees. I have been moving my food to the garage refrigerator, a 15 year old [REDACTED] that works just gone. Very inconvenient. I had [REDACTED] come our. They tried to fix it but wad not sure what it needed except to replace all the evaporator cooling parts!. I will have to have [REDACTED] come out again and try to remedy the problem. My neighbor on my left gave up after 3 years and junked her Samsung, exactly like mine. The neighbor across the street got Samsung to refund/ replace their Samsung refrigerator, exactly like mine. Everyone I know curses out the Samsung French Door refrigerator. Likewise. I had to replace my Samsung Microwave after the warranty, 18 months out, and was forced to purchase another Samsung since it was the only one available during Covid.

    Please do something about these faulty Samsung Aplliances!!

    Samsung Refrigerator model RF28K9380SR/AA serial 08EJ43BHA01037Z was purchased at Lowe’s in summer of 2017 as part of a kitchen remodel. We purchased all new kitchen appliances and decided on this refrigerator from Samsung. Problems with the ice maker freezing started within months but we did not think much of it and were having to defrost it and cleaning it up 1-2 times a week. Then my wife started complaining about the ice maker and its issues, so I called Samsung and requested service in 2020. They agreed to cover the repair and replaced the ice maker. That worked for a while and then started to have the same issues again but with COVID and all we just left it alone until June 2022. I called Samsung again and requested service for the ice maker and they sent a tech out, but he would not replace the ice maker this time stating that there is an issue with cooling as the freezer displays a temp of -5 but actually nothing in it is frozen. Tech replaced the control board stating that the previous service should have replaced the board and that either Samsung would need to authorize another ticket for the cooling issue, or I would have to pay for it out of pocket which I refused to do. I called Samsung again and argued with the agent assigned to my case but he would not authorize the repair, so I asked for a full refund since these units are defective and have issues going back to 2006 based on their own service bulletins. The agent/case manager would finally tell me he will send another ticket for service to replace the ice maker which I thought would also address the cooling issue we have with the freezer only to get a call today (7 July 2022) from the repair company that the ticket they have is only to replace the ice maker. I am beyond frustrated with Samsung at this point and have no idea how they can get away with these issues for this long. My wife just told me that we have some food spoiling in the refrigerator and bread getting moldy, ugh!

    Issues with SAmsung Refrigerator. Within a few months, icemaker froze up. I was unable to get bin out to try to repair. during this time, my fridge did not seem to be able to hold temp. My food was always spoiling very fast. Finally had to defrost my entire fridge for several days. I was able to get the bin out and defrost icemaker. Every couple weeks or so, the icemaker would freeze up and the process would have to be done over and over. It finally froze up so bad that its literally just one giant ice chunk. My fridge will not hold temp. I bought an inside thermometer and within a 24 period, it constantly fluctuates between 44 degrees and 36 degrees (what I have it set at). I am constantly losing food and my fridge is worthless. This was a very expensive fridge and I cannot afford a new one. My husband and I have had serious GI issues for the last couple years. Once we finally realized the fridge was not holding temperature we realized we have been eating bad food for several years now.

I called SS and they said I need to pay for a tech even though this is obviously a defective product just like every other fridge they make. I was diagnosed with H. Pylori about a week ago. This is a bacteria. So now I think the bacteria is coming from uncontrolled temps in my refrigerator that Samsung refuses to fix.

    I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator in 2017 for a new build. It was installed a year later. In 2020, the icemaker stopped working properly, freezing up solid and requiring us to make attempts to break apart the ice to get it to start working again. After contacting Samsung, I was told that because it was out of warranty I’d have to pay for its repair. After many calls to different appliance companies to find a repair service, Samsung arranged for one to come from an hour away and I paid $270 for the repair on June 19, 2020.

    In May 2022, I noticed the refrigerator icemaker seemed to be getting worse again, making slushy ice and sometimes a bit of water would come first. This had been gradual so I believe it started much earlier, though it we accepted the “wetter” ice. But by May, there was an occasional louder fan noise that it was inconsistent. I began to look for more information online and found out that this was a known issue with these refrigerators going back to 2006 and two related repair/service bulletins were issued through 2017 and 2018. I also learned from other consumers that this was accompanied by swings in temperature. I believe this is from the compressor working overtime likely from the fan freezing over from the icemaker. I began to check my refrigerator’s temperature on a regular basis, moving an analog freezer thermometer that I keep in a large freezer in the garage to my Samsung kitchen fridge. While the door settings showed it should be 37F in the fridge and 0F in the freezer, it was instead reading at between 22-26 degrees in the fridge and 6-8 degrees in the freezer.

    On June 8, 2022, I contacted Samsung after noticing that the now slushy ice from the icemaker was accompanied by loud fan noises from the back of the refrigerator. It would occasionally stop, always when the door opened, but then would start up again sometimes so loud that it kept me up at night (my bedroom is about 30 feet away). I have video of this occurrence. I told them about the temperature issues as well and my primary concern related to the noise from the compressor indicating it was in danger of failing. I was also concerned about possible overheating of the compressor. I was told they would repair the icemaker for free as a warranty repair. When I asked if this would address the compressor, temperature issues, etc. I was told “no”.

    Three appointments later, the tech finally arrives to repair the icemaker. [First appointment made for 6/10/22 by Samsung was cancelled by the tech saying they weren’t available then. Second appointment made for 6/13/22 by the tech resulted in a no-show. Third appointment made on 6/28/22, the tech arrived.] The tech was let in by a cleaning lady because he did not use the doorbell and just banged on the door (a [REDACTED] doorbell video caught all this). I found him by the fridge after he’d claimed he’d just finished installing the new icemaker. He asked me if he could dump the ice out so it could “start fresh”. Later it occurred to me that this meant that the ice tray with the auger was still the old one. But I could see that the main unit had been replaced since he left the plastic film on it which I later peeled off. I asked him if this would also fix the temperature issues and he said “Yes” because the rest - indicating the compressor - was working overtime to get the job done. I asked about a receipt for the repair and the tech said that someone from his company would email it to me. I recorded this conversation.

    I mentally noted that he had never pulled out the fridge from the wall, or replaced the motherboard (accessible only from the back) or checked the compressor for ice.

    About 5 hours later, we checked the icemaker. It was full of ice. The auger, however, wouldn’t turn and deliver the icemaker. We dumped the ice and tried again about 45 minutes later. Although there were some ice cubes in the bucket/auger area, no motor could be heard when the ice lever was pushed and no ice was delivered. The next morning, we noted that the temperature in the freezer was now -10F. Yes - negative 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The refrigerator was still around 22 degrees.

    We emptied the fridge and have now moved it to the garage and left it unplugged. I am concerned about a potential fire hazard with the temperatures swinging so far from the settings. I am concerned about the high electric bills I’ve received over the last few months and how much of it is due to this fridge.

    And I am especially concerned that since September 2021, I have suffered numerous debilitatingly severe cases of diarrhea finally leading to a diagnosis in March 2022 of Lymphocytic Colitis. I’ve been on a steroid treatment since March 2022 which I began to taper off of and symptoms have been returning. I am concerned that this is because of consuming food undergoing the freeze/thaw from the refrigerator.

    I started noticing that my freezer food wasn’t staying frozen. Within a week my refrigerator was no longer holding a safe temperature for food either. It is my understanding that the Evaporator and the Compressor both have a 5 year warranty. I am well within that warranty. The unit being low on refrigerant or having a refrigerant leak would cause the unit to lose temperature. I have numerous calls into Samsung and continuous get the run around. I am living out of a cooler until I can figure something out. Samsung French Door refrigerator not cooling. I have called Samsung numerous times only to be given the run around. There is no service technicians in our area that they can find. I have called local appliance repair companies only to be told they will not work on a Samsung Refrigerator.     Four year old Samsung refrigerator ice machine and fan not working. We ate food that we thought was kept refrigerated but ate it and were sick. The refrigerator has a tubing for the water line. The tubing is not reliable. Our tubing has burst twice flooding our kitchen. This time after the repair person left our finished basement was flooded causing extensive damage. Here is the bottom line. First the Samsung product is unreliable and unsafe. Second the repair people Samsung recommends for repair are not properly trained. Our repair guy is here for the FOURTH DAY. Each time he leaves we get a new problem. I cannot believe this is our country. Unreliable products and untrained technicians. Unbelievable. Of course we won’t mention here the time lost for my wife and I at work. Absolutely unacceptable in this day and age.

    After 2 years of using the refrigerator freezer kept working while fridge didn’t maintain the proper temperature that caused food and medicine became unusable. The problem- air damper door hinge plastic broke and the door couldn’t open to let cold air in. Replaced the air damper. 1.5 years later - the same issue again. Replaced the damper again. 1.5 years later - the same issue again. Dipper troubleshooting showed that air damper door logic might be wrong. Air damper door closes every time the fridge door has been opened and re-opens after the fridge door is closed again. That is absolutely unnecessary and significantly increases amount of air damper door close/open cycles that causes the plastic fails. I think the air damper door has to be controlled by temperature sensor only and the way it operates now is engineering mistake. All refrigerators with the described issue should be recalled to prevent customers from related illnesses that might occur after using a bad food or medicine.

    Our Samsung French door refrigerator has had constant problems since purchased in 2017. The ice maker constantly freezes up and doesn’t work. Now within the last 6 month, the cooling fan has frozen up and our food has gone bad. We’ve lost all our food and its the middle of 90° summer days and we’ve not had a fridge over a week. The display on the outside says the fridge is 37°... but the thermometer we put inside never got below 46°. Our milk curdled and upset my husband’s stomach. We also ate slimey bad pork before we realized what was going on. Both he and I didn’t feel well and experienced gastrointestinal illness at least once, but we suspect multiple times. These are KNOWN defects in out fridge, and should never have been sold to us, since the implied warranty of products means they’re sold free of known defects. We’ve had to PAY for repair, which don’t work, because Samsung won’t pay. We’ve consumed bad food.... and aren’t sure how long we have been eating food at 46°. We had to throw away all our food, and haven’t been compensated. We also can’t have cold food now since the refrigerator doesn’t work. I want reimbursed for my spoiled food, our repair expenses and a refund for this terrible refrigerator!

    My Samsung refrigerator is not staying cool enough to maintain safe food temperatures, food is spoiling quickly and getting moldy. Food is being thrown out daily if not eaten right away due to food safety concerns. Currently have no other refrigerator to keep food at the correct temperature. Water is seeping into the pantry drawer from a known cooling problem (known to Samsung since 2006). It will cost me $ 1200 to repair a 2018 fridge. Purchased in 2017 for 2018 new home. I have pictures of moldy food due to a known Samsung cooling system defect. Samsung will not take responsibility for this known issue which is very common in their refrigeration line. It’s a cooling issue and affects ice maker, ice and water accumulation in fridge and temperatures going above what is safe for food. I have contacted Samsung and they want me to pay to get it repaired on my own without taking responsibility. This problem is affecting 10,000 people according to a Samsung Help Group. It’s almost as much money to repair as when I purchased the refrigerator new. My concern is my food staying fresh enough to eat without spoiling and causing problems to myself and my husband.
