    We bought our french door Samsung refrigerator in 2015. The ice maker broke within the first two years. It was fixed since it was under extended warranty. Since then the back cooling vent freezes over . At least once a month we have to defrost the whole refrigerator, in order to restart the ventilator to make it work again. The units temperature goes up to 56f .we had to throw away food and medication.We did put an official complain at [REDACTED] in 2021 to samsung directly.To which Samsung stated that the unit has no recalls. They refused to service the unit, when asked for a supervisor ,they declined stating there is no higher authority to help us. This specific model has a manufacturer defect, to which Samsung knowingly has been selling diffected units since at least 2014. They had multiple bulletins, stating that ice makers brakes and the back vent freezes over. They refusing to refund any customers or fix the issue . I did record my call to Samsung

    I have a Samsung refrigerator that has consistent ice maker issues. It doesn’t make ice, it makes too much ice, the ice melts and spills water onto my wood floor. I have had three technicians to my use to “repair” the ice maker, which only fixes the problem for about 3 weeks. They use a blow dryer (even though Samsung says to never use a blow dryer to defrost), melt the ice build up around the fan, and then it just happens again weeks later. Samsung is now telling me there are no service techs in my area and they can only offer me a prorated refund.

    I’ve been dealing with a loud-humming (frozen fan) coming from the back of my Samsung refrigerator and have been unable to use my ice maker since February 2018 when I first contacted Samsung Support. (They’re both known defects.) The unit was a little over 3 years old. I have to empty the entire contents of the unit and let it sit to thaw on a monthly basis. The thermostat is unreliable and I’ve thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of unsafe, spoiled/rancid food. My refrigerator was not free of known defects at sale. I’m a Consumer in one of the three Class Action Lawsuits and have been for several years.

    I have a safety concern regarding Samsung Refrigerators. I have a Samsung refrigerator ModelRS22HDHPNSR/ aa Serial#067143AFB00647H. The problem started when food started going bad way before the expiration date. I kept thinking it was a scam selling food older than it was. This problem was off and on, then started happening more and more the past few months. There is an outside display with the inside temp registered on it, mine was a consistent 36 degrees. When the food started to spoil I put in a thermometer inside and it was 50 degrees. It consistently goes from 45 to 60. I called Samsung, they sent out a repair person 2x in two weeks, the second repair person declaring the unit not repairable. This unit is 5 years old and it unrepairable?? My family has been eating bad food, thank God no one got sick. This is a common problem for Samsung Refrigerators. My calls and e-mails have gone unreturned.

    Purchased Samsung refrigerator (model RF22NPEDBSR) in August 2018. Have had the ice maker replaced three times already. In early 2021 we started noticing problems with the ice maker - wet ice, leaking water inside and outside the fridge, freezing over completely making it unusable. Had ice maker replaced. One month later, same issues again but this time there were also plastic shavings in our ice. Ice maker replaced again. Six months later, same issues again and we had the ice maker replaced for a third time. Also noticed around this time that the refrigerator was not as cold as it should be and food was spoiling faster than expected. Technician discovered there are cracks in the plastic all around the evaporator which are letting warm air in so now fridge can no longer maintain safe or consistent temperatures. Despite the display on the outside showing it is set to 37 degrees, it is often up into the 40’s, sometimes as high as 46-48 degrees.

    June 5, 2020 we purchased a condo with 4 Samsung kitchen appliances, a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and oven. All were manufactured between 2017 and 2018. The refrigerator was noted to have water on the inside shelf, but we were told the condo had been empty several months prior to our purchase. My husband has medical problems necessitating the use of the refrigerator. The standing water problem continued and we called our home owners warranty company who sent out a repairman on 6-10-20. I paid $100. It was determined the compressor was not repairable , ie “shot”, and we needed a new refrigerator. We continued to move in with a cooler for needed food items. On 6-13-20 we purchased a new refrigerator for $2836.56 and the smamsung was hauled away to the junk yard.

Defective and not a warranty issue. Service bulletin from Samsung issued in 2015 attached showing that they knew about the icing of the unit then and continued to sell the defective product to unwary customers. The ice prevents the fan from working to keep the unit at a safe storage temperature for food and medicines.

    The Samsung refrigerator that was made in 2016 and purchased in 2017 displayed an incorrect SAFE temperature on the display while the contents of the refrigerator were at an unsafe temperature. Food spoiled and medicines were destroyed because of the unsafe conditions in the unit. Model number RF18HFNBSR. My husband and I were using the product in our fifth wheel camper. In addition to having to destroy food and eating food that was spoiled, we suffered expenses to purchase an alternate method of keeping food at a safe temperature.

    The refrigerator I purchased has the worst design defect I’ve ever seen. The Samsung Model# RF28HMEDBSR/AA Serial# 065L43BJ401764W I purchased started freezing up within months of purchase. Here recently we went from having an ice maker that quit all the time because it was froze up to one making noise and ice. Now we are just down to NOISE and have purchased a countertop ice maker.

    It leaks because the temperature is swinging, causing a slipping hazard in front of the refrigerator. It pools melted ice and makes it start molding and mildewing. It’s also makes horrible noise with is very bad for mental health. It causes anger, dispair, and makes us very quick tempered with each other. Spending over $3,000 I should have ice when I want and not having it freeze up all the time as well. They are still selling these AWFUL refrigerators with a KNOWN design defect.

    I have a Samsung refrigerator that has a defect in the icemaker, which has been replaced 3 times. Since the last time the icemaker has been replaced, the temperature in the main compartment has gone from 41 to 53. I know I cannot keep meat or dairy products in it, so I am gradually moving everything to another refrigerator. I have filed a report with the NJ BBB and requested a refund, but they have not responded (except for the last icemaker replacement). This is a dangerous situation, since the outside panel on the refrigerator says that it is at 37 degrees.

    My Samsung refrigerator continues to freeze up and cannot keep food at a safe temperature. This is a known defect by Samsung where the back of the fridge freezes causing temperatures to rise, spoiling food. The food is no longer safe to eat and must be thrown out. This defect is dangerous and these refrigerators should be recalled to avoid people becoming ill from food that is not held at a safe temperature. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food and likely some of the illnesses we’ve experienced were from poor food temperatures. Samsung is not interested in repairing or fixing this current defect. This is not a warranty issue. This is a known Samsung defect which Samsung has dealt with many times before.

There is from what I’m reading a Samsung service bullitin ASC20171005001 regarding the ice accumulating /freezing under th3e crisper drawers.per a report on your website that i found.

    In July 2016 I bought a Samsung refigerator Model RF18HFENBSR and in July 2018 I notices ice under the crisper drawers and had service come out they replaced the fresh food cover assembly defrost fuse temp sensor and drain kit and both door seals, then in Sept 2018 had to have drain kit and evapotrator cover replaced again. This last time was June 2021 same pieces replaced both door seals and evaporator cover. Now my freezer is not freezing correctly and needs the compresser replace.

    Our Samsung refrigerator in our home, because of a defect in the ice maker, led to our refrigerated compartment not working. Our family uses the refrigerated compartment for medication and food products. We experienced the loss of medication and food. We noticed the milk was warmer after drinking it for over a week. Samsung repair service came to our house 5 times and there were 3 service tickets, but they could not fix the problem.

    I have a Samsung French door refrigerator model number Rf263beaesr/aa. Their are 2 known manufacturer defects. The first is the ice maker that constantly freezes up. The second is the refrigerator will not keep a temperature below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The back panel freezes up and I have to constantly defrost it or it will stop in fan on the inside from working. I have had food and medicine spoil due to this refrigerator and Samsung will not stand behind this manufacturer defect.

    Samsung refrigerator repeatedly malfunctions by freezing up in the coil area in the rear panel of the refrigerator, causing internal refrigerator temperature to raise to dangerous levels. Temp raises to upwards of 53 degrees when this freezing problem occurs, causing food and medicine to spoil. On a few occasions, before I realized the problem occurred and that the temperature raised to this level, my two young children ate food from the refrigerator and became violently ill.     (10/02/2021) The consumer stated that she heard a cracking and noise. When she went to the kitchen to investigate, there was an electrical smell in the kitchen. Also the left door on the product was hot to the touch. The electrical smell was coming from the door.

    Report Update: October 3, 2021 I contacted Samsung Customer Service via text message and stated the situation that I reported to CPSC. They issued ticket number [REDACTED] for the incident. October 4, 2021 Bill Smith Appliances In house repair service arrived at our home to diagnose the problem with the Samsung Refrigerator because we have a 5 year extended warranty. According to the Technician, the control board had failed, causing 120 volts of electricity to be directed to a circuit that should only have used 12 volts. This caused the door to spark and overheat. The technician [REDACTED] contacted Samsung to verify that there was a problem and was told that the door overheating was a normal situation. He reiterated several times that there was an overheating problem, but they continued to say there was no problem with the refrigerator. [REDACTED] ordered a control board, a new front water/ice door (Left) and a new flipper/seal. October 5, 2021 I contacted Samsung Customer Service again to express concern that i no longer felt safe having the appliance in my home since it shorted out while we were sleeping. 1 feel fortunate that we heard the shorting out and were able to figure out that there was a problem with the refrigerator before there was a fire. l asked for a pro-rated refund since my appliance was 3 months past the year warranty. They refused to issue a refund. I then went back to Bill Smith Appliances and purchased a new [REDACTED] Refrigerator. Bill Smith scrapped my Samsung. October 61 2021 The new [REDACTED] Refrigerator was delivered and the Samsung was taken away since I had no place to keep it. October 8, 2021 Lakes Appliance Repair in Pompano Beach, Florida left a message about repairing the Samsung Refrigerator even though I told Customer Service that I wanted a refund and not a repair. It is my opinion that it would have taken months for them to accomplish the repair anyway. Who can live without a refrigerator that long? I took the actions stated above because I no longer trusted the safety of the Samsung Refrigerator. There is a [REDACTED] Page called [REDACTED]. There are quite a few people who have experienced issues like mine including having a house fire while they were out of town. I felt that owning this appliance was a risk that I was not willing to take. I hope you hold Samsung Accountable for this dangerous appliance.

    My Samsung French door refrigerator stopped cooling. Over a period of weeks I noticed milk not being good even though the expiration date was a week away. Strawberries and other fruit and lunch meat went bad within a couple of days of refrigerating. The temperature display inside the unit showed that it was as cold as it should be, but it really wasn’t. I discovered it wasn’t accurate when my husband put a thermometer in a glass of water and it read close to 50 degrees. No wonder I had to throw away so much food. We’d had problems with the freezer and ice maker since we bought it in 2017, with the top drawer forming ice crystals all the time and causing the foods to have freezer burn. That problem still continues. The ice maker quit working a couple of times and when it does work, it sounds like ice drops out of the back onto the floor. The freezer problems are known issues to Samsung to due to design and defects.

    We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator from Lowe’s with 3 year warranty. Had it repaired 3 times for defective ice maker. the entire ice maker replaced once. Attempted to have entire refridgerater replaced due to defect and was denied, we were told ice makers are not covered under warranty. I later found out that there has been numerous service bulletins regarding this same issue, as well as a class action suit. Ice maker constantly freezes up, leaks water on the inside, and out the dispenser onto floor, grows mold on back inside wall. I have contact the company spoke with a rep from Samsung two twice, he wanted to replace defective ice maker again. He informed me a technician wound be contacting me. Never happened. I have emailed this rep, as well as, a rep from the office of the president at Samsung in an attempt to have this resolved. No one has responded. I filed a complaint with the New Jersey BBB where Samsung headquarters are located. Samsung’s response was that they had made multiple attempts to contact me but I did not return their calls which was completely untrue. After much research, I have learned that this has been a issue years before we purchased ours. They were and continue to sell a product they know has a manufacturing defect, and are making no attempt to remedy the situation.

    I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF263TEAESG in 2015 and have had the ice maker replaced twice because of ice build up and improper cooling. Recently the ice maker was not working and iced over. The outside panel on the refrigerator reads 34-35degrees and when I put a thermometer inside it read 42-50 degrees, which is dangerous for fresh food storage and could harm or kill my family as we were consuming the food inside when the refrigerator falsely states it is being kept at set safe temperature, when it was much higher temperature. Samsung has been aware of this problem since 2015 and refused to recall or fix the situation. I have contacted Samsung stating my concern and inquired if there are any recalls for this unsafe well known problem, the representative denied any problem and stated I would be responsible for any service on the appliance. Samsung has issued service bulletin 5/24/2017 bulletin ASC20170602002. There has also been a class action lawsuit filed in 2017 against Samsung for faulty refrigerators, including the model I own.

    I have been having problems with my Samsung refrigerator for over 2 years now. First the ice maker started malfunctioning repeatedly, causing frost to build up and not operate properly. Then, there was frost build up in the condenser causing the fan to stop working. This is extremely dangerous for health because the temperature gauge reads normal 36 degrees, but because the fan is not operating, the internal temperature is in the 50-55 degree range. This is causing food to spoil without the consumer knowing. I have gotten very sick from food poisoning because of the unsafe temperatures within the refrigerator.

This is a nationwide issue, and they deny it is a problem. Even though they had to issue many refund checks. Samsung customer service says this is not an issue. But there are many class actions against them. My food is going bad and there is mold due to water leakage from ice-maker. I have kids and the food is exposed to unsafe temperatures and mold. Now I need to purchase a new unite and they refuse to do their part and refund me.

    I purchased a Samsung refrigerator back in 2014, it has been given me problems since. But I didn’t know until a few months ago that the units all offer the same problems. Noisy motor, lower temperatures than provided on the door, and non funcional ice makers. I have called Samsung and asked for a refund. They sent me a technician to only take care of the ice maker. They claimed I have no right for refund or any other parts. The ice maker is still giving me the same problems, and they want to send me the same technician again. They refuse to offer me a refund since the product is out of warranty. Today I called again, and asked who I can serve for a small claim suit in my town. They refused to give me the information, they told me to call repair to ask them to give a diagnosis. Minutes later I get an offer for $450 coupon to purchase another Samsung. I do not want to do that. Their washer was defective and they offered me a coupon, I purchased another Samsung, and I experience the same problems. Many customers in the same situation received a refund. But they lie and claim I am not entitled to one.

    I bought a Samsung refrigerator model #RF28HMEDBSR/AA in 2015. Purchased extended warranty. It has been serviced 4 times for the same issue: ice maker freezing up; fan behind inside back panel freezing up so bad that ice spills through inside air circulation vents. Extremely loud vibration noises from fan not working; inside temps as high as 50 degrees to 60 degrees causing food spoilage and ruined insulin, and causing sickness from spoilt food. Inside manual thermometer does not match outer digital temp display shown on door; the lower freezer drawer contents thaw from lack of proper freezing temps. I am afraid of fire hazard from this refrigerator. I have complained to Samsung but they will not acknowledge that there is a defect in this refrigerator. This is a known defect, not just with mine but many, many other Samsung refrigerators and different models. The repairmen themselves told my husband and I that this is a known manufacturing defect and it is not fixable. There are service bulletins available online by Samsung themselves describing these very issues. These refrigerators need to be recalled. My fridge is still having these same issues since the last “repair” not even a year ago. Samsung’s only response is to send out another repairman and we have to pay the cost. That will be FIVE times then, so we said no. It is just a bandage situation at this point.

    Samsung RF323TEDBBC/AA Refrigerator has a defective design that causes the ice maker to freeze up like several other defective Samsung refrigerator models. This isn’t a new issue. There are some 80K other customers with similar experiences. I only recently discovered this wasn’t just my dumb luck with a Samsung fridge. Anyway, the stupid ice maker creates a cold zone directly next to the panel and causes the thermometer in our fridge to miss report the temperature 10-15 degrees meaning our food wasn’t staying cold enough to keep it safe. No one was hurt or injured that we know other than the constant threat of spoiled food.

    I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model: RF265BEAESR S/N: 0ARS4BBK301415R ) in December 2019. We have had to defrost the ice maker once every couple months due to it freezing over and then dripping water out of the door dispenser. Recently we had begun noticing that the fridge didn’t seem as cold as it should. We purchased a digital thermometer to compare the system setting to the actual fridge temp. The system is set for 37F and the digital thermometer shows 46F. We then adjusted the system down to 34F, the lowest it will go, and the digital thermometer did not drop below 46F still. This is a dangerous and unsafe temperature to keep any food at. We have had to move most of the food to a secondary fridge so no one in the family gets sick.     2012 Samsung refrigerator with repair done 5 months after purchase. The whole back panel ordered and replaced because service tech couldn’t determine which motor was bad. Since then ice maker kept freezing up so we stopped using it. Then about 3 months ago the internal temps kept fluctuating, we threw away food before we realized this was the problem, so we bought an appliance thermometer and realized it went back and forth around 40 degrees and two weeks ago the freezer died and last week the fridge. I have original receipt and repair receipt. I turned those into NJBBB and Samsung called me in two days and only would repeat over and over, your warranty has expired even though I said over and over, NO it was a defect from the beginning. They said they could send another repairman out, but I would have to pay. They wouldn’t even have a discussion about it.

    We purchased our Samsung refrigerator on 11/7/2015 at Best Buy for $1950.44. This is not a warranty issue it is a design defect. One of the design flaws is the digital temperature to show that it is cooling at 34 degrees, when in fact, we placed a thermometer in several different places in the fridge, it was 54 degrees! We monitored it for several days and it did not get below 54 degrees. This is 14 degrees about the maximum safe temperature, which is a violation of our health and safety. We lost hundreds of dollars in food. This is a design flaw that causes the coils to freeze up so the sensor fails and the fan stops working. The second design flaw that we have been having to cope with (for several years) is the back freezes up. We have to transfer perishable food to other fridges and unplug it so it thaws every two months. We have not been able to use our ice maker for years as this causes it to freeze up even more. Third, it is leaking water to the bottom trays.

    We bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2015 that consistently builds up ice in the back panel until the fan can no longer move. At that point, the fridge temperatures rise to over 50 degrees, spoiling our food. We’ve had to replace ice maker parts and the defrost temp sensor at hundreds of dollars of expense because the warranty is only good for one year. We also had to run the manual defrost on a weekly or even daily basis. Samsung has said they cannot help because it it is out of warranty, but they have thousands of customers reporting similar issues.

    Our refrigerator was leaking. It does not maintain correct temperatures at all. It’s only 3 years old, and if we leave it plugged in it works for several hours and then stops working. And then it gets scary...the door starts getting really hot, and we are afraid of an electrical fire. We are using it ‘til the new fridge arrives by shutting it off at night & when we leave the house, and letting it rest periodically during the day. Samsung gave us terrible runaround and was of no help at all.

    We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a few years ago. This appliance has a manufacturers defect with the inside temperature along with a faulty icemaker that causes bad leaking. The outside computer screen tells us one temperature, but the actual temperature on the inside is much higher. Due to this defect, we have been consuming food that has spoiled, which has been causing us to get food poisoning. We have children in our household and this issue is very unsafe and cumbersome. With sickness and many dollars lost in groceries, I contacted Samsung and they said that the best thing that they can do is offer a free repair of our icemaker, which honestly is very disappointing and not as important as making sure our family is not consuming spoiled food!!! They claim that our refrigerator is out of warranty, but once again this is a known issue/nationwide recall with this manufacturers defect, and we should be fully refunded at this point.

    I’ve had my fridge for @ 3 years. Last week I noticed that there was condensation in the vegetable/pastry boxes. I thought water must have spilled. I lined them with paper towels. 2 days later I went to make a sandwich and the bread tasted odd, it was moldy. I went into boxes and noticed the condensation was back and there was now mold. I ended up throwing out the food. I contacted Samsung and was told that product was out of warranty and that all they could do was place a service call and I’d have to wait for repair company to contact me. I talked to supervisor and explained to him that mold is a very serious health issue, especially since I babysit my grandkids and that it should be handled immediately. He responded there was nothing he could do except provide me with contact info to service provider. I called for over 2 hours and there was no answer. After @20 on hold line would disconnect. I called samsung back and explained the issue and [REDACTED] attempted to call himself and had same results. He asked me to check the temperature panel and it’s not working. I’m extremely concerned about my health, I’m a senior citizen and I can’t use my fridge. What I’m I supposed to do? There has been many issues with this unit for months, specifically with the ice making. I paid close to $3,000 for this fridge, it should be in proper working order for several years. It is a defective design and sansung is aware of it, but refuses to do anything about it.

    Samsung Refrigerator RF25HMEDBSR does not keep the temperature that it states on the display. We have had 5 service calls on this and they state that Samsung does not have a fix for this and the repairmen can temporarily fix it but after a month the fan freezes up again and the incorrect temperature returns. The repair company says there is nothing they can do and they believe this is a design defect that Samsung has not fixed. Food is spoiling fast and we never know if it is safe even though the temperature says 35F on the display but the temperature inside normally shows under 50F when tested.

    RF263BEAESR/AA freezer stopped working, unit has temperature fluctuation, unit does not maintain correct temperature, condensation issue and ice maker stopped working. It’s a design defect known since 2006. I purchase in 03/2020 and multiple reps have been out replaced the compressor 2xs, worked for a bit but now having the same issue with freezer not freezing unsafe temps. I called for service since 8/6 and as of today no one has been out to service my appliance.

    I own a Samsung French Door fridge with design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees F. higher. My children and I are never aware the food is bad till we consume and get sick, our health and safety is at risk because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly. There have been multiple design defects with ice makers in French Door units with freeze up and leaking issues too. Samsung sold this model and about 28 others knowingly and willingly for many years with no concern for its customers health and safety
