    The product, in the report: Stainless Steel Refrigerator with bottom drawer freezer and 2 ice makers with water and ice in the door.

    We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2014 along with the Lowes extended 5 year warranty. Under the warranty we had 5 service calls to repair the top ice maker and it still isn’t working. We turned it off out of frustration. We also have an issue with the refrigerator and freezer not holding the correct temperature. The freezer thaws and freezes and leaves frost on everything.

    The product, in the report: In In April 2016 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator From Howards Appliances at 21721 Vanowen St, Canoga Park, CA 91303. This Samsung Refrigerator cost close to $2000,00 dollars. This is the Model #RF28HMEDBSR/AA and this is the Serial #065L43AGB01844D Our Samsung French Door Refrigerator was also registered on Samsungs website in April on 2016 by my Husband [REDACTED]. Our Samsung Refrigerator worked great for the first year we owned it. After that the first year the Ice Maker Completely stopped working, This is a huge problem for my husband because he needs ice to maintain his hot/cold therapy for the arthritis in his hands. We tried to use the “Force Defrost” feature several times and the Ice will begin to work for a few hours and then form a large block of ice again. Our Samsung Refrigerator will also not cool down on some occasions even though we have it set to the lowest cooling setting therefore through out the years we have had to throw away at least $500 dollars worth of spoiled food. This specific Samsung Refrigerator has several lemon law lawsuits against the faulty design and there is a Facebook group dedicated to the recall of this Samsung Refrigerator along with other older Samsung Refrigerators. This group has over 100,000 members who have filed complaints with Samsung and collectively received over 31 Million dollars in refunds. I am not asking for a refund, I would like Samsung to replace our refrigerator with a brand new / reliable model that will stop this nightmare we have endured throughout the years. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Samsung products and we hope Samsung will do the right thing and replace our refrigerator. Repairing it will simply do nothing, it must be a replacement or we may consider joining any lawsuits that currently exists but that is our last resort, first we are hoping Samsung does the honorable thing and replaces our refrigerator with a new model that actually works.     I recently discovered that my refrigerator has been at an unsafe temperature, I have a Samsung RF26HFENDSR, purchased in 2016 that has known issues keeping food at a safe temperature due to ice forming on the back of it. We have had stomach issues off and on for years but never thought it was the fridge because the temperature on the fridge said it was at 37 degrees, which we found out it was not when we put a thermometer in there.

    My Samsung refrigerator (model RF28HFEDBSR) has worked poorly for years. The ice maker and back wall freeze over regularly where I have to thaw it every couple months.

    It was only recently that I thought to check the internal temp having discovered many others having the same issues. While the door has always read 32 degrees the internal is above 50 degrees. Guess this explains while so much of my food seems to spoil after just a couple days… and who knows how many times this has led to myself or my children getting sick.

    We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator MDL RF30KMEDBSR in 2017 and delivered in 2018. The icemaker has been a continual problem as it freezes. I known problem in the industry, a produce defect not a warranty issue. Although the largest problem is that it will not cool below 41 degrees and continually reads higher with usage. We have had three repair visits (replaced power circuit control board and thermistor) all the technicians have been open that these are known and continual issues with Samsung refrigerators. According to the USDA food should be stored at 40 degrees or less and discarded after 2 hrs. After numerous phone calls to Samsung and promises made but not kept we are still facing this unsafe condition. We feel that a reimbursement for expenditure of $1999.99 is far in order that we can purchase a refrigerator that will maintain a safe temperature for our family food.

    We have a Samsung fridge that has a well know defect but they still sell them. The fridge stops cooling randomly. It cools when it wants to making food unsafe. The ice box freezes up making one big block of ice that then slowly thaws all over your floor. I have had on 2 occasions food spoil and most frustrating my breastmilk!! I did not know the fridge had stopped cooling and then started again and my breastmilk went bad my poor baby starting vomiting and when I checked the rest of my milk supply I realized they had all gone bad along with everything else!

    Our Samsung refrigerator was not maintaining a food-safe temperature making both of my children sick. Samsung refrigerator model number RF28HFEDTSR/AA serial number 065P43AG805049M

    Regarding our complaint filed with the NJBBB, just to recap our Samsung refrigerator started having icemaker issues about two years after we bought it, such as, not making ice, freezing up, and leaking water out the front to the floor. It was at this time we contacted Samsung and were informed very rudely that our refrigerator was out of warranty, and nothing could be done. After dealing with this for six months we had a local repairman come out and replace the icemaker and ice bucket. The refrigerator was seemingly okay for a short period about 3 months, but then started to seem not as cool and making a rattling sound from time to time. We called another company to come take a look, they discovered the back panel was frozen and the fan was hitting the ice, at that time they took it apart de-iced it and put it back together. The refrigerator seemed to work fine for a little while longer about 5 months and it froze up again, we again called a local repair man to come fix it again, for the same issue, we were informed at this time that we can put the refrigerator into forced defrost and hopefully keep the freezing to a minimum; we continued to forced defrost once a month or so, or every time we heard a rattling noise from the fan.                Unfortunately, during this time the refrigerator leaked from what we later found out was the overflow catch basin in the back of the refrigerator and damaged drywall and trim in the kitchen and in the basement. Most concerning during this time was we have two younger sons that were taken to the doctor with throwing up and diarrhea that was attributed to drinking spoiled milk that we found after we came home in our Samsung refrigerator, after these concerning events I placed a thermometer in the refrigerator and discovered that it was not maintaining a safe-food temperature often reaching 45°, we also have been keeping foods that easily spoil in coolers on ice. We have also had to throw away a large amount of food that spoils quickly over this time. The icemaker started having issues again about a year ago we had it replaced again, it lasted about nine months and we had to shut it off due to the same known manufacturing issues.

    I have contacted Samsung multiple times and spoke with [REDACTED]. He refused to address my concerns and refused to pass my complaint on to a supervisor.

They refuse to issue a recall when they know it is causing food to spoil and risking food poisoning.     The Samsung fridge I purchased has a design defect that affects more than 100,000 people who Samsung refuses to acknowledge. The exterior temp display says 37 when the inside of the fridge does not go below 53 degrees. This presents a vital health hazard for food safety storage. Families are continually put at risk when Samsung continually ignores the defect and brushes off customer concerns. Complaints began in 2006 and continue to be filed. Samsung needs to be held accountable for their negligence.

    We built our house in 2017 We purchased all our kitchen appliances from Barrett Appliances and they were all Samsung products. They talked us into a 5 year extended warranty and boy am I glad they did. The biggest problem we are still having is the 4 flex door refrigerator model number RF28K9070SG The first year the ice maker leaked a little but we thought maybe the door wasn’t being closed well. We leveled it and still had the problem In 2018 the leaking was worse from the ice maker and through the water spout all over the front of the refrigerator and on the floor and in the vegetable bin. I finally called CPS to come fix it. We were told that the ice maker was defective and they replaced it with the new updated one. It took about 6 months and it started again. Since 2018 we have had 2 separate companines come to fix this refrigerator only to have this problem condinue. It is a safety issue because we have porcelain floors and it is very slippery. I put towels down but it isn’t good enough anymore. The last fix, Samsung had the technician seal the whole side of where the ice maker is and it is so bad now it even has gotten noises. CPS tells us that Samsun knows the issues and is working something out but they are no longer warranting our refrigerator and CPS is dragging this out

    My Samsung Refrigerator model RF30HBEDBSR cold air circulation fan in the back of the refrigerator compartment froze. As a result, there was no cooling air being circulated. The temperature indication on the outside of the unit showed 37F which is what it was set on. The food I took out felt pretty warm. It was over 50F. How long this was happening is questionable. I threw out all the food that was warm.

    I have a Samsung Refrigerator that was purchased in 2016 and I have had a service technician working on it every year since I bought it. In January the refrigerator stopped cooling but the temp indicator on the door stated that it was operating correctly. I was not until we checked it with a thermometer that we realized that the actual temperature was 52 degrees. I once again called Samsung and paid to have the sealed system replaced and by the following day the refrigerator temperature would not go below 57 degrees.

    The food within our 2 year old refrigerator continues to spoil and the temperature always seemed warmer than the digital display stated on the panel. I purchased a thermometer and adhered it to the inside and sure enough the temperature is off and continues to fluctuate. We have also had an issue with the inside fridge ice maker freezing and dripping. We had Samsung do a repair and they assured us the issue was resolved. We’ll, nope it is not. The temps still fluctuate and the ice maker keeps dripping and freezing. Looking this issue up after the fact I found out that Samsung has known these issues have existed since 2006. They offer a free repair but that isn’t fixing the issue so they need to refund our money but refuse. The food could have caused food poisoning and may have caused many of the stomach upsets that have occurred in the last 2 years. Unsafe! Thankfully no breast milk or meds were kept in this faulty appliance since purchasing.

The air circulation fan in the refrigerator compartment freezes up and causes the temperature to rise without indication. This is a known common issue which I was unaware of until searching for information about it.

    I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in May 2016, model number RF23J9011SR. Even though it is not yet 6 years old, it has had many issues that Samsung has refused to resolve. I first noticed some loud grinding noises near where the ice maker is located inside the refrigerator section. Then the ice maker itself started to form ice all around the unit, causing it to seize up and stop working altogether in September 2019. I contacted Lowes (it was still under warranty) and Samsung certificated technicians tried to repair the ice maker unit in November 2019. In 2021, the ice maker started acting up again and unfortunately, the beginning of this year, the ice maker stopped working altogether again. This is most likely happening due to unsafe temperatures of the refrigerator in which I noticed my food would spoil quickly in the refrigerator. I tried searching online to see if there was a solution to the problems I was having, and I then found that there have been thousands of complaints by other Samsung refrigerator customers with the same exact issues I was having. I was also made aware of a class-action lawsuit against Samsung currently in mediation regarding these issues. It is clear that Samsung has knowledge of a common, widespread problem with their refrigerators. This is a clear design defect of their refrigerators. There was even a service bulletin that was published in 2017 and was not shared with their customers. I have heard many accounts from other Samsung customers that any repair attempts ultimately do not work, and their units have to be serviced multiple times and eventually replaced altogether or provided reimbursement. Because of this, I was not willing to pay to have the unit serviced knowing that I would almost certainly have to replace it anyway. I also do not feel it is right for Samsung to continue to charge their customers to service a knowingly faulty product. I am requesting a full reimbursement for the refrigerator and associated warranties.

    Description of the problem we’re experiencing: our ice maker is freezing over and has stopped producing ice on multiple occasions. We have tried to troubleshoot the problem based on Samsung’s guide but the defrosting only temporarily resolves the problem as a few days later the ice melts over again. In addition to the ice maker, our french door refrigerator has an issue with keeping an internal temperature consistent with the temperature displayed on the refrigerator screen. We noticed we had a problem when some of our food started to go bad faster than expected so we placed a thermometer inside the refrigerator to watch how often the temperature is incorrect.

    We are not happy with this product and are not the only consumer experiencing issues with Samsung’s french door refrigerators and their faulty ice makers.

    Lastly, I have a repair invoice for the two times that a technician has had to come repair the unit within the first 6 months of purchasing the product.

    My Samsung refrigerator stopped cooling.     We have a Samsung refrigerator, that has a known defect in the ice maker that causes the ice maker to not work. We contacted Samsung to get this fixed and allowed them to attempt to replace the parts. The replacement did not hold, and unfortunately caused even more problems going forward. With the defect that jammed the system, it ended up cracking the ice tray and shredding small pieces of plastic into the tray. These small pieces of plastic (as well as some larger metal parts) were then frozen into the ice and dispensed without our knowledge. We discovered multiple small pieces of plastic floating around in our 6 year old daughter’s water cup.

This has caused a lot of my fruits to mold, and milk to get spoiled.

    I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot 08/02/19 Model #RF28R72015R/AA, serial number 0B2C43BM501535E and have had nothing but problems since I bought it. I have replaced the ice maker 4 times - 01/05/22, 10/1921, 07/31/20, 10/12/20 along with ice route, arger motor x2, pcb main x2, temp sensor, key lock lever, and epram main. There is something else that was replaced but couldn’t read the repair invoice. I still have water leaking from the ice maker, ice maker freezes, only a little ice is made sometimes, and the water/ice dispenser is leaking water. The last new ice maker was on 1/5/22 and I still have water leaking and not much ice. I have lost food because the refrigerator doesn’t keep the temperature correctly. This refrigerator is UNSAFE. This Samsung refrigerator has a known defect and should NEVER have been sold to me. This issue is a GENERAL Magnuson Moss Lemon Law. I want a Full Refund of $2,521.13 No to any pro rated price because this refrigerator is defective and Samsung knows that their refrigerators are not safe, dependable, and will never be fixed.

Samsung sent a text on January 29th. 2020 and he said he needed to replace the icemajer and quite a few other things . May 2021 my family was getting sick frequently. We thought it was covid related but never tested positive. My son went to urgent care and doctors numerous times. Missed 6 weeks of work. It wasn’t covid it was my samsung fridge not cooling to the temp on the outside panel. One of my son’s has Autism. This is dangerous. They should not be allowed to sell defective products.     We bought our fridge around March 2020. It immediately had issues with a faulty door and the freezer was never lower than 15 degrees F. We contacted Samsung but got no response. As the pandemic took off we lost several family and so we did not pursue Samsung further. My wife is permanently disabled and on Medicare due to a chronic pulmonary and nervous system disorder. In September 2021, the fridge began leaking a toxic acetone like smell into the air and into our food. It made my wife so sick she had to stay in her room and use her nebulizer all day. The fumes from the fridge are often so bad that she can’t go into our kitchen anymore. Neither myself nor my two children can barely stand the fumes when we open it sometimes. Then the temperatures started changing drastically in the fridge and freezer, 54 degrees in the freezer, below freezing in the fridge section. The temps would go up and down, often not in agreement with the digital sensors. I placed multiple thermometers in all the different sections. Sometimes the temps would match, sometimes not. Food has spoiled multiple times. I have been in contact with Samsung regarding all of these things beginning last Fall 2021. They have sent out two different companies and the only successful fixes have been a door repair. The other problems have only gotten worse. I have to call them constantly to get anything done. At least 3 work orders were cancelled due to “no one available to service in my area”. I believe this fridge is absolutely defective and a danger to our health. The last Samsung service person told me to get a chemical sniffer to see if there’s a coolant leak. He said that he smelled it for sure. I got the detector for the type of refrigerant in this fridge,r600a. It detected a severe leak. I would like a refund for my fridge and compensation for the food lost. My preference is not to use a lawyer but at this point I don’t know what else to do.     The reason to reporting samsung refrigerator model : RF263TEASESG/AA is because it has a design defect but they are aware but do not want to take responsibility and continue to sell product that does not function as advertised. I am not the only person having the same issue even after samsung sent repairs they continue to have issues and cooling is not food safety temp. Ice maker doesn’t work back board over freezes that creates ice build up and water collects on the bottom tray and mold creates inside due to cooling issues. This puts a hazard for my family and I. Our food spoils and our medication go bad. Samsung does not want to take responsibility for their design defects on this model. Water spills out the fridge and gets stuck on seals and also creates mold on there. This is not safe and not a product we were promised when we purchased. This product design defects are cooling ,ice maker, back board over freezing , water collecting under bottom tray, rust and now repair tech from samsung added one which is top left shelf not having support so it cannot be used. Repair includes replace defrost system, fresh food cover and ice maker, clips, seal ice box. Product is defective and leads to slow food spoilage as the digital display on front of refrigerator displays an aspirational temperature of 39-40 degrees, not actual refrigerator temperature. This is not safe and not clear to consumers. so we assume food safety as that is what a refrigerator is intended to do (its “job”) and it is actually 47-48 degrees.

    I own a Samsung refrigerator with a known defect. While purchased in 6/2014, it started failing in 6/2017. Each time, I have lost entire refrigerator’s worth of food, after eating unsafe food due to internal temp of 47-48 degrees (food deemed unsafe above 40 degrees). I have paid to have it fixed 4 times and it has failed again. Samsung claims this is a warranty issue. It is in fact a known defect. They did not honor the federal Magnuson Moss Lemon Law and are not standing behind their un safe product.

    Samsung refrigerator model RF28HMEDBSR does not display correct temperature for refrigerator or freezer. Refrigerator was being used according to the provided manual and was previously in good working order. This caused my family (2 adults and 1 child under 2years) to become ill. Upon putting a thermometer in the fridge it’s showed the interior temp was 65 when the control panel showed 36 degrees for the refrigerator and -3 degrees for the freezer. The freezer was 45 degrees. Samsung was contacted and they did not offer to correct or diagnose the issue despite the refrigerator being under warranty. There are numerous stories under the BBB stating other consumers have had this issue with no resolution from Samsung.

    We ate spoiled food and lost our 8year olds insulin due to defective Samsung fridge. Our fridge was 11 months old when unbeknownst to us, temperatures were in the 50s. Once the freezer defrosted we knew something was wrong and tested the fridge which by then was obviously room temperature. Samsung techs “fixed” our fridge after a fight for support for a less than year old fridge, but the repair lasted 12 hours. We went with no fridge for months because we had to fight for a refund. Food spoilage is a serious issue, especially for type 1 diabetics and those will health issues. Not to mention the loss of medicine.

    The manufacturer defects I describe below are re-told countless times across the internet if you look up Samsung refrigerator reviews. Samsung is making and distributing a product to consumers which have known and documented defects, affecting the health and safety of our family via the food we store in their product and then consume.

    The digital temp display on my fridge shows normal/safe temperatures, yet inside the refrigerator AND freezer the temperatures are 40+ (F) degrees HIGHER than the “safe food storage” temperatures showing on the display! Currently the inside temperature reads 73 degrees when using a stand-alone thermometer. All my family’s groceries were being stored at hazardous and dangerous temperatures for at least 36-48 hours before we realized the dire situation, not realizing the temperature had dropped so dangerously low until it everything spoiled overnight on 1/13/22, when the entire refrigerator cooling system failed. The ice maker totally froze/iced-over 3 days before, beginning approximately 1/10/22. Loud motor noises were coming from the fridge for approximately 48 hours, and then when the cooling system totally failed the ice maker defrosted and melted down the inside back of the fridge, across numerous shelves, and even down into both of the crisper drawers (of course, all over the food being stored inside the entire fridge).

    All our food and supplies had been stored below safe temperatures for at least 36 hours. We are so lucky to not have been physically injured due to the unknown consistently incremental rise of air temps + my family’s consumption of our groceries being stored inside.

    I have had issues with the ice maker in my Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator. I has ice buildup and is unable to make any ice cubes. After installing a temperature monitor, it is also unable to maintain temperature at the desired setpoint. This is a health issue. It is also pooling water on the bottom of my crisper and creating sheets of ice that need to be removed daily. I contacted Samsung first on this issue on November 10, 2020. I heard nothing after a service appointment was made. I contacted them again on Dec.10, 2020 and they again claimed someone was coming out. This was also a no show. I contacted them a third time and they cancelled that call as well and told me that there was no one in my area to service this machine. These refrigerators have known defects and are currently in a class action lawsuit (see attached) for them selling this exact refrigerator model with known defects. They are unable to repair this defect so I am now insisting on a full refund.

    Our Samsung refrigerator’s ice maker constantly builds up ice and drips water from the front of the ice maker tray. I have had Authorized repair services Wisemans as well as Brookmill to come out and repair the ice maker. Today My service guy came to fix my refrigerator again. He brought out the back panel because we have had a sudden drop of temp on the unit again it is broken and he was unable to get my icemaker open.     We had purchased a Samsung Refrigerator that has had problems from the beginning, ice maker freezing, back panel freezing, etc. I am sure you are aware of these know defects as it has happened to many others. The problem right now, TODAY, is that Samsung sent out a repair person to help fix some problems. On November 16 a repair person came and replace our ice maker. It did make ice but unfortunately something was wrong with the controls and the bottom ice maker constantly ran even in the off position...literally maniacally making ice. When turned on, only the top unit worked and water constantly leaked from the dispenser. The back panel froze up worse than ever within a week of this repair. Samsung sent out another repair person Wednesday, Dec. 22. The guy was here for almost two hours before he even touched anything. I was so concerned with his ability that I finally called the company to ask if he was qualified and they assured me that he was and had been on the phone asking for help. He finally took out the ice maker and within minutes told me that there was coolant leaking. He tried to blame the last repair person, but honestly, our unit still ran before this guy came. He called Samsung and they said it was non repairable and would contact me. Within minutes of this happening the temperature began rising. Before he left a loud noise started. I made him listen to it. He tried to tell me that he did not do anything to it, yet it was not making that noise before he started. Then he said it was just the refrigerator starting up. I have lived with this fridge long enough to recognize every single sound, good and bad. and this was bad! He assure me that the only thing that wouldn’t work was the top ice maker. He stated that the water line, bottom ice maker, refrigerator and freezer would be fine. Within a hour the temp had hit 60 degrees and I began losing everything, freezer included. By evening it was at 80 degrees. I had food supplies for Christmas dinner to feed 20 people plus a regular full freezer with meats, seafood, vegis, etc. I have lost it all. However, that is not the worst part. The coolant began permeating the entire unit. All food is destroyed as it has taken on the fumes from the coolant. I thought I could salvage some ice, yet when I got water from the dispenser and tried to drink it, both tasted like the coolant. The fumes are so bad that when we open the unit, we immediately get nauseated and headaches. I have my 80+ parents living with me with major health issues and daughters with some other family members with medical concerns as well. This is an emergency situation. This unit needs to be removed immediately as the toxicity id dangerous. Samsung will not return my calls or emails. [REDACTED] had assured me that you would take care of this but I cannot reach him,. I got another rep on the phone who tried to tell me maybe he could prorate a refund which is totally unacceptable as this was entirely due to the damage caused by your service, not to mention that the original problems were from know defects. I have been encouraged to contact the local media as they recently did a news release on these issues. My goal is not to become a major news item. I just want my refund plus the cost of my lost food and this unit REMOVED from my house. If we wait any longer there will also be medical bills if my family continues to have to inhale this. I am considering sending some of them to a hotel for safety if you would prefer to add that to the cost of the expenses. Please, I am begging you. Resolve this today so that we can both end this. I spoke with [REDACTED] again today, December 28, who again told me they will only give me a very minimal refund which would not even cover the cost of a new refrigerator, much less the same size as the one we had. They will not help dispose of this.

    I purchased a Samsung French Door fridge around December 2014. I’ve had several issues with it since my purchase. The issue I’m reporting here is the unsafe temperatures of the fridge. I noticed the temperature was off in the fridge and freezer. My food items in the freezer where thawing out. I pulled the fridge out and noticed there was a leak on the back of the fridge coming from the Refrigeration line area and it was completed rusted out as it must had been going on for awhile. This normally means your insulation is soaked. I’m not sure how long the issue had been going on. I threw out the food and ordered a new fridge. I spoke with Samsung on 12/28/2021 but they did not address this issue. They basically said the fridge was old and the only thing they could do was fix the ice maker. This is a known defect of Samsung refrigerators. I believe they should no longer be allowed to sell them as people can get sick from eating food not maintained at the correct temperatures.

    Ice maker has never worked properly. I’ve had the issue served with Samsung for at least 3 times since I bought it brand new from Best Buy in April 13, 2019. All related to the ice maker design defect. 1st Samsung Service- October 7, 2019 2nd Samsung Service- April 30, 2020 3rd Samsung Service- September 15, 2020 4th Samsung Service (done through an outsource repair company assigned by Samsung)- November 11, 2021

    As of last week (12/13/2021), the ice maker is doing the exact same thing it has done since I bought it. That is, even when on the cubed ice setting, crushed ice/melted ice comes out, and every time water leaks from the ice dispenser. Additionally, frost/ice builds up inside ice maker compartment. I can no longer use the ice maker to get ice because lots of water leaks onto my wood floors if I decided to use the ice dispenser. This issue has been going on ever SINCE I BOUGHT the unit brand new. Very frustrating. Additionally, every time a service tech comes out to “repair” said issue, they scratch up my wood floors moving that refrigerator in and out of the spot to gain access to the back of the unit.

    I’ve filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well (case number is [REDACTED]. When the water leaks on the floor it makes the floor slippery and I’ve slipped a few times when walking near/around the leaking refrigerator.

The Samsung rep told him to mess with some wiring on the unit and after he did told the tech to touch the handle of the appliance to see if he gets shocked. He didn’t get shocked so the rep, on speaker phone, then Said ok well if the consumer gets shocked while using the refrigerator then its probably going to be deemed un-repairable. The tech said in all his years he has never ran into something like this. My husband is an electrician he said this unit is NOT SAFE. the tech messed with the wiring crossing over wires. Im not risking a family member getting shocked. Or worse yet my home starting on fire. This is not a safe refrigerator!

    Our Samsung refrigerator drawer had been sticking and we couldn’t figure out why. We looked under and behind the drawer to see if something had gotten stuck, but couldn’t see anything. This continued for about a week and we kept looking for the source of the sticking. Finally one day when we looked under the drawer (had to get on the floor to do this) we saw that an electrical cable had come out of its housing. In the course of normal use, the drawer had run over it’s own electrical cable and opened the protective covering in at least 3 visible places. This drawer is now unsafe to use as it could cut through the cable at any time just from normal opening/closing operation. There is no way to tuck it back up into the housing and Samsung has told me that they cannot repair it. We have to replace a fridge that is barely 4 years old.

    I got into my Samsung French door freezer to lay something out for dinner and all my food was thawed. The display panel said 0 degrees. Needless to say it was not zero. We have a chest freezer we keep most our meat in so luckily the food loss was minimal. Probably between $100-150 estimate. I made sure the fans were operational and coils were not freezing. I changed out the thermistor. That didn’t fix. I was advised by Samsung tech it was likely the computer board. I had it repaired for $55. That didn’t fix. Basically the display panel registers the temp you set it at as if that’s the temp of the inside of your freezer but it doesn’t freeze your food to that temp and it’s not repairable apparently. Extremely frustrating and unsafe.

    I own a Samsung refrigerator which I’ve had numerous problems with regulating temperature. We store my husbands [REDACTED] Medication (prefilled shots) in our refrigerator. It wasn’t until I realized my refrigerator was freezing items until I placed a thermometer inside it. My temps fluctuated from 20 degrees to 42 degrees mostly leaning towards the freezing side as I had to throw away it’s contents. I am concerned now because my husband received those medications and they were stored below the temperature on the box for a extended length of time and he had the injections prior to my checking with a thermometer that my refrigerator was freezing all contents right down to the mayonnaise. I do not know how “if” there will be any repercussions as a result of him receiving medication that had been frozen, defrosted etc. as well as if he may not get his relief as normal or if he may have any health issues from taking an injection that wasn’t properly stored due to a known defective refrigerator from Samsung. As a registered nurse I know this is not safe for medication as well as pork, chicken and beef.

    2014 Samsung Refrigerator has a leak and is not cooling on the refrigerator side. Technician claims there is nothing wrong with the unit. It is not cooling as it should and I’m losing food, milk because if it. I store expensive medicine in this fridge and I’m afraid that I’m going to lose thousands of dollars.
