   When cleaning the gas stove, my wife accidentally turned one of the knobs on the stovetop without knowing. The knob turned past the ignitor and gas kept leaking out without her knowing that it was on. The whole house filled with gas until I noticed the gas smell from the second floor level of the house. I immediately the knob in the on position but no flame. I turned it off and opened all the doors and windows to the house.

A Technician came out and replaced the oven burner, he failed to correct the underlying safety hazard as three burners on my stovetop as well as the shut off valve in the oven were Identified by [REDACTED] to be hazardous. He did not feel correcting those issues was necessary, I am contacting Frigidaire Again to Request Replacement as my Carbon Monoxide Alarm sounded at 3am today.

   Front buttons on Frigidaire 30 5.1 cubic ft natural gas range, model #FCRG306 LAF turn on when leaning over the range and slightly brushing up against the knobs. The knobs can be easily turned and ignited by small children or even without awareness by adults causing potential serious bodily harm, death and significant property damage. The knobs slightly turn sometimes when a persons body brushes up against the knobs causing gas to leak into the living area and they even ignite sometimes. There are no warning labels or notices to this effect. Lowes sold me this range last month (August 2026) and I just learned that it was recalled for a separate issue on March 19, 2026, (recall number 26-333) but Lowes did not inform me of the recall before it was purchased and installed.

Approximately two minutes after turning the oven off, I was standing about two feet away from the range when the oven door glass spontaneously shattered without any contact, impact, or misuse. No one was touching or operating the oven door at the time. The glass shattered into numerous small pieces across the surrounding area, creating a potential laceration hazard. No injury occurred. I have always been in the kitchen and noticed it immediately. This time I didnt, and took a brief nap. A friend came to visit and noticed the strong of gas and turned it off and we opened the house to get it out. This scared me! I could not get connected with Frigidaire customer service-got out on hold, then hung up on. Son have ordered new safety knobs from an independent company.

I set oven to 400 and placed cast iron pot with vegetables in the oven to steam for an hour. About an hour later, my separate plug in co2/gas alarm activated with number 218 and “Gas” flashing. I turned oven off and tryed to turn off alarm. It zero-ed out, then went off again. Then a third time. I called 911. Fire Dept came out and detected high levels of gas throughout the house (small house). They turned off the valve at the back of the range. Opened windows and doors and turned on fans. About an hour or more later, gas level reading was at 1. Said it was safe to stay but to not use range (keep valve off). When they left, I lifted lid on vegetables. They had not cooked through after an hour in what was supposed to be a 400 degree oven. Also, back right burner is loud and forceful, like a torch.

    My Frigidaire range expels a strong gas odor throughout use. When searching for a fix, I happened upon an active recall addressing this very issue where burn injuries were reported: recall no: 26-333. Our model number is the first listed in the recall. But because my SERIAL number isn’t part of the recall, my exact issue as outlined in the recall is not a covered repair. How can this be? My oven emits a strong gas smell throughout use, just like the recalled ranges, my model number is part of the recall, but because my serial number isn’t listed, it’s not a covered repair? When brought to their attention, why wouldnt Frigidaire want to repair an oven that is potentially dangerous to their customers, free of charge? This isnt a user error-this is a manufacturer issue. The cost they quoted to perform a service call is close to 50% of the cost of a new range. This is unreasonable.

    Purchased an Frigidaire appliance in November 2025. When running the range, my house immediately started smelling like gas. I requested that Electrolux send out service technician to fix the problem as it was under warranty.

    Over a span of 2 months, I was unable to use my oven at all. Electrolux replaced a Bake Ignitor and a Burner Body in an attempt to fix the problem. They also issued a recall on this model and no longer sell it through their website.

    As of September 1st, my range now smells like gas again and there’s ANOTHER leak. I have 4 children and a range that leaks gas in my house is unacceptable. This is a huge safety issue and puts my family’s life at danger. The earliest they can out a technician is September 7th (this was after originally scheduling it for the 11th of September). I requested a refund but they denied it.

    I’ve had a service technician visit at least 5 times. According to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - a warrantor that cannot remedy a defect within a reasonable number of attempts must provide a replacement or refund.

    I responded to a fire at a residence. The homeowner’s oven caught fire. Upon investigation, I found that the bottom pan had slits along the sides of it. When I removed that layer, there were multiple layers beneath that had holes or slits, allowing grease to travel to the bottom. Each layer had different screws that a normal consumer probably wouldn’t have (flat head, then square head, 1/4 in hex nut). When I got the bottom layer, where the gas line enters, I saw accumulation of grease and another opening that caused the grease to drip through to a drawer underneath. Fire was caused from accumulation of grease that wouldn’t have been caught through normal oven cleaning, as it was in a layer underneath, with no traps to catch the grease.

    I am reporting a severe burn hazard on a Frigidaire Gallery gas range. This exact model number (GCFG3059BF) is currently under an active CPSC recall (Recall number 26-037/26 xx) for severe burn hazards related to the oven burner system. While my serial number falls just outside the official recall batch window, my appliance is exhibiting severe, dangerous overheating behaviors that mimic an engineered defect. When the oven is operational, hot exhaust air vents directly onto the front-facing control panel, metal bezel, digital display, and plastic control knobs. The entire front interface becomes so hot that it cannot be touched with bare skin without sustaining a burn. This creates an immediate and unacceptable safety hazard for the grand children in my household. Local appliance representative inspected the unit and claimed it was “working as designed to prevent glass explosions,” but the exterior operating temperatures clearly exceed safe UL consumer standards.     My Frigidaire gas range, model FCFG3083ASD, produces an extremely strong natural gas odor when the oven is initially started. The odor is not a faint or momentary smell associated with normal burner ignition. It is strong enough to billow out of the kitchen and into other rooms of the house. The problem appears to occur specifically during initial oven startup. Once the oven has ignited and is operating, the gas odor appears to stop. Because of the severity of the odor at startup, I am concerned that unburned gas may be accumulating before the bake burner ignites. I learned that this model family is included in CPSC Recall 26-333 for delayed ignition of the oven bake burner. I contacted Frigidaire and specifically reported the strong gas odor and the similarity to the recalled condition. I have discontinued use of the oven because of the severity of the gas odor and the potential safety risk.

It was repaired February 2026 and April 2026, it is July 3rd and I am waiting on yet another service call for the same thing. I can’t use my oven for a major safety risk so I need a safer solution because fridgaire has made a defective product which has been deemed by safety recall and will not include or expand to include my unit.     The gas range company Frigidaire hired Electrolux to se if naythign was wrong with our range as we had been tasting bitterness while using the gas range. The technicians failed to notice health hazards from the product. The first technician did say there was a defect from manufacturing, but did not say what the defect was exactly and failed to document it. The second technician came and did not notice the yellow flames that came up set at the middle heat setting. We have been inhaling aldehydes for years. Only the gas company noticed after the technician’s visit. The product used was Frigidaire and the company technicians were from Electrolux.     Incident Description I am reporting a serious product safety concern involving my Frigidaire gas cooktop. The front-mounted burner control knobs can be activated with extremely little pressure. The controls can be unintentionally turned on by incidental contact during ordinary household activities. This has occurred multiple times. A young grandchild accidentally activated one of the burners by barely touching a control knob. More recently, my dog jumped against the front of the cooktop and unintentionally turned on another burner. The burner ignited while unattended, creating a significant fire hazard and nearly causing a kitchen fire. Fortunately, the situation was discovered before anyone was injured and before major property damage occurred. The appliance can be activated without a deliberate intent to cook. In my opinion, the burner controls do not adequately protect against foreseeable accidental activation by children, pets, or adults brushing against the front of the appliance. This creates a foreseeable risk of: Fire Burn injuries Gas release Property damage Serious injury or death if the burner is not discovered promptly I believe this product should be evaluated to determine whether its control design presents a consumer safety hazard and whether corrective action or a recall should be considered if similar incidents have been reported by other consumers. I have both called and written to Electrolux to report this serious safety concern yet they do not appear to take any action or suggest any corrections. I have carefully documented and photographed evidence of this situation. I am aware that Electrolux previously recalled certain Frigidaire FFGC3026SS cooktops because defective control knobs could crack or break, creating a gas leak and fire hazard. My complaint involves a different but equally serious safety concern. The burner controls on my cooktop can be unintentionally activated through incidental contact because they rotate with very little resistance. This creates a foreseeable risk of unintended burner ignition and fire, particularly in homes with children or pets. I request that you investigate whether this represents an additional design-related safety defect beyond the condition addressed in Recall No. 23-269. 1. Has Electrolux received other complaints involving accidental activation of the burner controls on Model FFGC3026SS? 2. Has Electrolux conducted any engineering evaluation regarding the amount of force required to rotate the control knobs and whether that force complies with applicable safety standards? 3.     In 2022 I bought a brand new home that came with a Frigidaire gas range (model GCRG3060AFC). Since then and while using, the oven will spontaneously beep and flash random numbers as a bake temperature. It’s unclear whether the oven is actually on when this occurs or if it shuts off or what temperature it is set to. This has happened to several of my neighbors as well who also have the same model in their new homes. On the most recent occurrence this week, this happened again and the oven was actually smoking. I immediately pushed the off button when I saw the smoke but despite that I saw red in the back of the oven and thought a small fire was occurring. There is something inherently wrong with these models and they are not safe to use. I was so concerned this week when this happened that I looked up the model number of my range. AI told me it was part of an Electrolux recall for bake burners. When I called Electrolux to determine if my model was in fact part of the bake burner recall they told me no. When began feeling ill, nauseated at times also a bit dizzy with headaches. However, yesterday, it intensified and brought concerns to where my daughter felt the urgency to call the gas company and request an inspection and assessment of the ongoing situation. The telephone representative instructed us not to open any doors or windows for safety. The technician arrived. He explained those stoves appeared to have issues as he had multiple calls in the neighborhood from other home however. He said to request a maintenance call from Frigidaire. In researching the issue online, it clearly informs 740,000 of the model of rhose stoves/ovens were recalled. The builder [REDACTED] also was well aware of the issue but never stopped installing them in the homes they build.     I purchased a Frigidaire Gas Range online (Order #[REDACTED], Model GCFG3060BF) on October 10, 2025. On May 5, 2026, [REDACTED] responded to an emergency gas leak at my residence caused by an improperly installed gas connector. When I called Frigidaire for emergency assistance, the customer service agent ([REDACTED]) mishandled my data, quoting an incorrect suburban address starting with “[REDACTED]” despite my physical delivery ticket being accurate.

    Due to their administrative errors, a technician was delayed until the following week. On that first visit, the technician revealed that the stove was under an active federal safety recall (CPSC Recall #26-333) issued in March 2026. Crucially, the technician explicitly stated that Frigidaire’s system knew it was a recall issue when I first called to report the leak. Had customer service properly handled the emergency, the technician would have been instructed to bring the recall part and fix it that day.     At approximately 13:40, my mother turned on the oven and set it to 225F. Within a short time, my wife noticed a strong gas odor in the living room adjacent to the kitchen. I also smelled a strong gas odor.

    I went to the kitchen to investigate and confirmed that no stovetop burners were on. I then opened the oven door, at which point a flash ignition occurred and a burst of flame came out of the oven cavity toward me.

    The flame caused visible singeing of my facial hair. The oven has not been used since the incident.

    Based on my experience as a firefighter, this appeared to be a delayed ignition event involving gas buildup prior to ignition, resulting in a flash fire when the oven was opened.

    Re: Safety Complaint Frigidaire FCRG306LAF Serial VF54268539 I am filing a formal complaint regarding my Frigidaire gas range, Model FCRG306LAF purchased December 2025 from Lowes. Summary of issues: This 5-month-old unit has experienced a persistent strong gas smell during oven operation since purchase. Despite multiple authorized service visits, the issue remains unresolved. Service History: 1/2/26: House gas line replaced Justin Time Plumbing: 2/16/26: Bake burner replaced 2/16/26: Igniter replaced

    3/6/26: Recall repair completed (per Electrolux/Frigidaire recall bulletin) 4/9/26: Authorized tech performed gas sniffer test with oven running no leaks detected, pressure confirmed normal, flame and ignition confirmed normal Despite all of the above, a strong gas odor persists throughout the entire bake cycle and lingers in the home for hours after use. This unit is subject to the March 2026 Electrolux/Frigidaire recall (CPSC Recall #26-XXX) for delayed ignition of the oven bake burner. The recall repair has been completed, yet the gas smell issue continues unresolved. I am requesting: 1. Immediate replacement of this unit under the warranty and/or recall remedy 2. Escalation to Frigidaire Executive Customer Relations 3. Written confirmation of Frigidaires intended resolution Given the documented safety concerns with this model, the number of failed repair attempts, and the active recall, I believe continued repair attempts are not an acceptable remedy. I am prepared to file with the CPSC, the Better Business Bureau, and my states Attorney General consumer protection office if this matter is not resolved promptly.

    I am writing to report a malfunction with my gas range oven. I was baking food in my oven, when I smelled natural gas. It had been on and set to 450 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 30 minutes. The oven was the only burner activated at the time. I checked the stove top to ensure it was only the oven and confirmed this. I opened the oven and immediately smelled the source of the natural gas. In that moment, a ball of flames came from the burner in the bottom of the oven and up through the oven and towards me. I researched this and learned that many models similar to mine have a recall, however, Electrolux indicated that my oven is not on the recall list. It is a Frigidaire gas range/oven model # GCFG3060BFD, Serial # VF53987342.

    I have a Fridgidaire Gallery Gas range which is not part of the current recall its was purchased in Feb 2025.

    My stove is doing exactly what is described in the recall.

    You start the oven , the gas runs sometimes for 30 Seconds then it ignites, you hear a swoosh sometime its quiet sometimes its quite loud. Last month I started the oven but forgot to move my rack so I quickly opened the door and it ignited I felt the whoosh of heat. Now I see the recall and my number is not included. The stove is 1 year 1 month old. So I call to explain the situation, they tell me its not in the recall I understand that but I say its doing the same thing so do I wait to get burned so u can then expand the recall . He says sorry let me see if I can get it inspected for free to your worry. No sorry we cant do that he says Ur out of warranty. I am sure this is the same problem so I dont know what to do

    Consumer stated she just used the stove, and the flames reached 6 in above stove eye. They decided to use the oven instead, but it would not stay at 350 temp. It may a boom sound while she was in kitchen, the oven was on and the stove made the boom sound again and blew the oven door open and the eye of the stove kept cutting on pushing out gas on its own. The whole house was filled with gas. She called Frigidaire on 2/2/26 and they provided her with a ticket number. Two men came out on 2/19/26. He was able to see the flames shooting out the eye of the stove and he stated that she has a gas pressure issue. He told her to contact the gas company. She did, and the gas tech stated that it was an oven issue. The techs at Frigidaire do not feel safe coming back out to her home. The gas company marked it with an unsafe, not usable tag for the stove. She called Frigidaire back and informed them she does not want another oven from them. She wants a voucher to purchase another brand name stove. They are scheduled to come out on Wed 3/11/26.

    The smell of natural gas woke me from a nap. The smell filled my home. I had to open my doors and windows. The knob of my gas stovetop was turned on. This happens frequently but I usually catch that the knob was inadvertently pressed in and turned to the on position. This happens when I lean on it while reaching up to the microwave oven above the stove top and/or reaching for the oven controls on the back panel. I keep a piece of cardboard In behind the knob so the knob cant be pushed in and thereby inadvertently turning the gas on. But this time the cardboard did not prevent the knob from turning the gas on. No way should the gas turn on so easily. Another issue with this Frigidaire oven/stovetop is the broil feature doesnt work. I do not want this appliance in my home any longer. Either the gas itself would have killed me or my home exploding would have killed me. This appliance was brand new and came with the home I purchased in July 2024.     Purchased Frigidaire Model FCRG306LAFG in November, 2025. Initially smelled gas and installer came back to check his hookup. There was no gas leak. Mentioned allow time as chemicals will burn off. After 3 months still smell gas odor when oven is on. Contacted Frigidaire since it is under warranty. They set up a service with their provider locally. The provider came out with a detector and said it did not detect gas and he could not smell odor although I got a whiff of gas. He reported back that there was no odor. The technician as here for 10 minutes.

    My husband and I purchased Frigidaire oven range model GCFG3060BFD on 10/26/25, it was delivered on 10/30/25. We did not use the air fry mode until after the new year, as we received the air fry tray as a Christmas gift. We noticed a strong gas smell when using air fry mode but two situations pose as a safety and fire risk. On 2/8/26, we were using air fry mode at 380, we noticed a strong gas small and then witnessed a built up of gas that caused the oven door to open and slam shut without a person near it. The second situation occurred on 2/18/26, I was using air fry mode at 350, I allowed it to preheat and noticed a strong gas smell. After the beep indicator that it was preheated, I opened the oven door and a large blue flame erupted from the oven onto my face and hair. I could immediately hear my hair sizzling. I shut the oven door and placed the air fry tray down and patted my hair to make sure that the fire was extinguished and immediately turned off the oven. I suffered burnt hair and pain on my face.

    Our Frigidaire cooktop makes a loud poof that rattles the cooktop when we turn on the oven. This has been happening for awhile. I should have registered a complaint some time ago but did not. That is on me. Our model is FGGH3047VFB. Our serial number is VF13709655. I reached out to Frigidaire via chat and their response was to schedule a $320 appointment. They were not helpful at all. This stove is not old. My wife uses this stove everyday and is gotten to the point where we are scared to use it because of the mini explosion when we turn it on. No one has been hurt. We just simly turn on the stove to bake or airfry and this loud poof happens and it rattles the stove. I dont feel as though Frigidaire has taken sincere interest in our safety as this has gottne worse over time and i feel they should get a frigdaire representative out here right away or replace it. I have the chat saved of my conversation with Frigdaire and it is upsetting as a consumer that they are not taking any accountability for what could potentially be a harmful to deadly situation in our home. Anyways, i want to file this complaint as their may be other consumers with this model experiencing the same thing. And again, this loud poof has different variations of loudness and we are frightened of what could happen.     The first incident was on 11/13/2025. I was operating the oven at 200 degrees and raw gas filled our home. We scheduled a service call with Frigidaire, the technician (3rd party) moved the stove gas pipe closer to the gas outlet but said he could find nothing else wrong. The second incident occurred on 01/04/2026. I was preheating the oven at 400 degrees and smelled raw gas filling my home again. I opened the oven and heard a whoosh and a blue flame shot out and singeng my hair. We turned off the gas to the range and called Frigidaire asking them to expedite a service call and to escalate our claim as we almost suffered injury from the flame ball. On 01/14/2026 the same technician stated he could find nothing wrong. The next day I preheated the oven to 400 degrees, my husband and I were sitting in the living room and heard a huge bang that sounded like a mini explosion coming from the oven. We called Frigidaire and they finally escalated our claim to the risk management team and scheduled an Electrolux technician to service the oven. The first date set on 01/19/2026 the tech was a No Show. Finally on 02/04/2026 an Eletrolux technician replaced the oven ignitor and oven burner. He stated these ranges have been having a problem with emitting raw gas and not lighting fully when in use. I explained the flame plume and the banging of the oven and he said that was caused by the oven not fully lighting. After replacing the parts, he tested the oven at 200 degrees and 400 degrees but found no raw gas. Believing the oven was repaired, I operated the oven on 02/05/2026 but an hour in, I smelled raw gas again and my daughter became nauseous. We believe this range is completely unsafe even after the replacement parts have been installed and refuse to operate this oven ever again. We have informed Electrolux risk management that we no longer trust this appliance in our home and are formally requesting a full refund for the purchase price and for them to remove the range from our home at no cost to us. I do not have faith that Eletrolux/Frigidaire will handle my claim in a responsible manner as they have been slow to act each time we have reached out to them - even after a flame shot out at me. This model is a dangerous appliance that should be taken off the market so no one is seriously injured.

    On Christmas day she was cooking and when she opened the oven there was a fireball that hit her face. She got burnt on her eyebrows, eyelashes, and her skin. She has an appointment to see her doctor in January. She called the firefighter department, and they shut off the gas on the stove. She also called the gas company, and they checked the entire house for any possible gas leak. They noticed the hazardous condition of the stove and advised not to use it.

    Then, she called Frigidaire and they sent a technician on December 30th. He said she needed to turn the gas on so he could inspect the stove. She said she doesn’t feel safe with that stove; she doesn’t want a repair or a replacement. She just wants a refund since the stove is less than a month old. He said he could not do anything for her. She called Frigidaire, and they scheduled another technician for January 8th. The same technician called, and he said he could not do anything for her. She contacted the company, and they took all the information they needed, and told her that they would get back to her on January 9th. They finally just emailed her saying that a ticket had been created without more information.

    She doesn’t want the stove at her house, and she wants to company to give her a refund.

    The Frigidaire range was purchased December 2025. When the oven is used there is a very overwhelming gas smell. The oven then makes an explosion noise when it ignites, as it is full of gas. The preheat time is 45+ min, and in that time the oven is continually filling with gas. It has blown the door open due to the explosion happening inside of the oven. Lowes was contacted and told us to call Frigidaire. Frigidaire refused to let us return this unsafe product and demanded a technician will service it. Tech came today and agreed it should be replaced but stated he had to have approval from Frigidaire. When he called them, Frigidaire was aware of the problem and claims it is a burner issue. The Frigidaire employee stated that they have supposedly changed the burners, and told the technician to replace it. We are now without and oven until that part is replaced. This is a BRAND NEW product that I shouldnt have to worry about being repaired or lighting my house on fire. These units should all be recalled and replaced as they are unsafe.

    I bought a range from Frigidaire. I heard a noise that indicated a problem with the oven’s start up. I called Frigidaire and they sent a repairman. He diagnosed the fault, told me he needed to order a part and not to use the oven till it was repaired. He returned 11 days later and replaced the part. The repairman told me he had been instructed by Frigidaire to replace the burner element on ranges with a specific serial number. The burner element was defective. Frigidaire knew this and sold the ranges anyway. The noise was a “Whoomp” sound. This was caused by an over-accumulation of gas in the oven prior to lighting the flame. This was an explosive hazard.

    While using a recently purchased Frigidaire oven in normal operating conditions, a sudden and unexpected blue flame burst outward from the oven cavity when the door was opened. The flame extended beyond the oven, causing injury. This appears to be a serious product safety malfunction.

    This happened with a Frigidaire oven/range with air fryer function, purchased November 4th 2025 from Lowes.

    I was using the oven (50 years old), I bought the oven and I am the primary user of the appliance.

    The oven was being used exactly as intended and according to normal household use:

    Air Fry mode selected Temperature set to 380F The oven preheated normally and indicated it had reached temperature (audible beep) Upon opening the oven door to place the food (left hand holding the food tray, opened the oven with right hand) and the incident occurred There was no misuse, modification, or abnormal operation of the appliance.

    Injuries occurred

    When the oven door was opened, a strong blue flame suddenly shot out of the oven, contacting my face and head. As a result: - Hair was burned - Eyelashes and eyebrows were burned - Mild skin burns occurred on the face

    The flame exposure was unexpected and occurred at close range, creating a serious risk of more severe burns or eye injury. Photographic documentation of the injuries are available and will be uploaded. The incident was reported to Frigidaire same day (December 20th), and the oven part of the appliance is no longer being used due to safety concerns. Until today Jan 2nd I am not sure what will be the final resolution and actions from Frigidaire

I was hysterical & he came to me to let calm me down & let me know it wasn’t enough to blow up my house . He checked out the stove & said the burners were fine BUT, the oven was not firing right. When you turn on the oven , it should light the burners INSTANTLY. When this oven turns on it releases gas & hesitates then goes poof & then lights.!!! I was cooking steak & gravy which takes 2 hours. We left to take my husband for a ride & I picked up some groceries. We were back before the 2 hours. I approached the door & smell the food & a strong gas smell. !!! This was on 12/20/2025. I am still waiting. When I called ABC Warehouse they said they would not come & get it & they would NOT refund my money.!!!! They said they would order a part & when it comes in they would send a repairman out to fix it. I SAID I DIDN’T WANT IT IN MY HOUSE & they said they were following protocol.( I wanted a new stove & a different kind.) Again they said NO. ! They are made in china & so are the replacement parts.     I am reporting a serious safety incident involving a Frigidaire 24” Single Gas Wall Oven, Model GCWG2438AF, purchased on April 14, 2024. The oven has caught fire on two separate occasions during normal household use. At the time of both incidents, the oven was clean and being operated under ordinary conditions. I have owned and operated residential ovens for over 30 years and have never experienced a fire event prior to this. During the most recent incident, I was required to deploy an ABC dry-chemical fire extinguisher to prevent further damage to my home. The oven contains a convection fan, internal air pathways, wiring, and motorized components. Due to the discharge of the dry-chemical extinguisher, internal components are now contaminated in a manner that cannot be fully cleaned or verified as safe. As a result of the repeated fire events and extinguisher exposure, the oven can no longer be considered safe or reliable for continued use. The product presents a potential fire hazard and risk of property damage. No injuries occurred, but the incidents required emergency action to prevent escalation.

    Product: Gas Range / Oven Brand: Frigidaire Professional Series Model: PCFG3080AFF Hazard: Gas leak / Fire / Explosion serious and repeated safety failure involving two separate brand-new Frigidaire Professional Series gas ovens, model PCFG3080AFF, including a near-injury flash ignition event.

    The first unit was installed on November 17th. After only 23 short cooking cycles, the oven flame extinguished during operation, followed by continued release of gas into the oven cavity. A distinct puff sound was heard, the oven shut off, yet gas continued flowing, filling both the oven and the house. When my husband opened the oven door to investigate, he was met with a large red burst of flame, narrowly avoiding facial burns. His face was nearly singed, and this event could have resulted in serious injury or fire.

    Frigidaire replaced the unit with the same model. We have now experienced the identical failure mode again flame extinguishment followed by continued gas release, creating the same dangerous conditions.

    Two separate new appliances failing in the same manner strongly indicates a systemic defect involving the ignition system, gas valve, or flame-failure safety mechanism. Continued gas flow after flame loss particularly when combined with a flash ignition upon door opening represents a critical safety failure and an unacceptable risk of explosion, fire, and bodily harm.

    Frigidaire Gas Range Model No. FCRG3062AS: Smelled gas after installation and production was NEVER used. The home was vacant at the time of installation. Plumber who did the install smelled gas, but air test showed everything was fine at that time. I went to the house a week later and smelled gas by the stove. Plumber came back and put liquid soap by the valves on the stove top and one was bubbling. Line was disconnected until PC Richards technician came and said it was a leaking gas valve on the stove top. The tech said he’d never seen anything like that before on a new stove. The valve was replaced.

    We had purchased from Lowes a Frigidaire gas stove Model # FCRG306LAFG in November of 2025. We first used the stove prior and on November 24th. When we went to use the oven there was an overwhelming odor of gas that filled the house and then the oven ignited with a loud “whoosh” and continued to fill the house with gas that made sick both my wife and I. Whenever she opened the oven door to baste the food the same thing happened again when it was closed. The entire house two floors and a basement was filled with the smell of gas making us again sick. We called our gas company who immediately sent out an employee to check it out. The gas employee after his investigation stated that gas was filling the burner but not igniting until the burner was filled with gas, instead of igniting as the gas entered the burner (I have the report). Frigidaire was called and a week later they sent a repair person out but did not do any repairs as he said that Frigidaire stated to him that this was a normal operation every time the oven is used. What I am concerned about is that the burner may fail to ignite and gas will become concentrated in the stove causing it to explode WHEN IT DOES IGNITE and cause death or injury. The gas company man stated to me that this was the third complaint that just he has had about this issue. Until it is fixed Lowes and Frigidaire should investigate and/or recall this issue before someone loses their life. Lowes will be made aware of the issue today. EVERYTIME AGAIN, WHEN THE OVEN IS USED THERE IS THIS OVERWHELMING GAS FILLING THE HOME. THIS IS A PRODUCT SAFETY ISSUE. Product was purchased in September 2nd and not delivered until end late October. No physical injury other than sickness to nausea.

    I’m a 53 year old who bought a new gas range and while using it, the entire house started to smell like gas. The range also made a loud booming noise inside which shook the range. I sent my family outside while I turned off the oven and evacuated our pets. I called [REDACTED] from outside. When the [REDACTED] employee came, he tested the air for gas and found alot of gas inside of the oven when he opened the oven door. The [REDACTED] employee turned on the range and after a few minutes, it made the booming noise inside again. He said the gas was building up inside because the ignitor was faulty and it was not lighting as fast as it should. He said the range was defective and extremely dangerous and could explode if used. He disconnected it and tagged it as unsafe to use. I had a headache and nausea from inhaling the gas fumes. Home Depot said I have to contact the manufacturer for a refund. I contacted Frigidaire and they won’t give a me a refund. They said they will order parts to try to fix it. Since this incident, I have researched and found numerous people who had the same issue with the same model and Frigidaire is still selling the products, knowing they are defective and dangerous.

    Frigidaire ranges ( specifc model number FCRG3062AS) has required multiple tickets for repair due to the oven not staying lit. (Four tickets placed for 2 separate repair businesses within a short time frame.) This is resulting in the gas remaining on without being burnt off to create heat, ultimately leading to the house filling with gas and creating a critical safety concern for fire/explosion if left unattended or not noticed. Frigidaire/Electrolux has not issued a safety recall at this point despite the customer service department reporting to customers that the specific model and design is an issue due to the igniter’s suboptimal location in relation to the gas release for the oven. No injuries known at this time. Frigidaire has been refunding customers for this issue due to lack of ability to replace or safely repair at this time. Unsure at this time if this is specific to the model number (previously bought online through Home Depot) or new Frigidaire ranges altogether.

    I purchased a brand new fridgedaire stove/oven from home Depot. Upon first use it filled the house with a lot of gas. We requested support and waited a few days for the tech to come out. He was knowledgavle and said there is a flaw in a partfrom the factory He quickly replaced the part. This is very dangerous and no one at the company seems to think this is a big deal. After that repair, the stove still works but the oven still leaks a terrible gas odor (not as strong, but you can’t be in the kitchen while its on) and it didnt get to the right temperature. I am getting the run around from the company about returning. They were supposed to arrive today but just cancelled at 7am with no reason. 1 hour into a call with customer support they disconnected me.

    Hazard Description: My gas company officially red-tagged my Frigidaire (Model No: FCFG3062ASG) gas range due to continuous gas release and ignition failure. The oven does not ignite properly, and gas fills the cavity and the surrounding area before attempting to ignite. This presents a potential explosion hazard and is unsafe to operate. The unit cannot legally be used until the hazardous condition is corrected.

    Incident Summary: After installation, and performing the standard ‘burn off’ cycles, the oven continued to emit a strong gas odor during use. I contacted my gas utility, who came out and inspected the unit, confirmed that gas was leaking and the igniter was not functioning properly, and issued a hazardous condition red tag Do Not Use -- also noting they’ve received continuous call about this same unit.

    Frigidaire sent a technician who refused to use a gas detector, did not test the ignition sequence, and dismissed the gas company’s findings, claiming he did not smell anything. No repair was performed. The product remains hazardous and in the same defective condition, with no action on Frigidaire’s part.

    Home Depot (where I made the purchase) will not remove or refund the appliance, stating it is past their 48-hour policy, and Frigidaire has not resolved the issue. The appliance is still red-tagged and poses a significant safety risk in my home.

    What I Want CPSC to Know: The appliance is unsafe, leaking gas, failing to ignite, and both the manufacturer and retailer have refused proper remediation. The product remains a hazardous, non-operational, red-tagged gas appliance in my home. This needs immediate investigation and action from both Home Depot and Frigidaire.

    Injuries/Effects: Strong gas smell caused headaches and required ventilation of the home.

    We recently purchased a Frigidaire gallery gas range stove (model GCFG3059BF). It was installed correctly by the company who we purchased it from. When we went to use it, we started to pre-heat it and there was a huge whoosh sound and the door blew completely open. In subsequent uses, there is a smaller whoosh sound, and the smell of incomplete combustion. In contacting the company, the service technician said that the burner allows too much gas into the oven and doe s not completely combust the gas. The side effect is that the house smells like uncombusted gas and every so often theres a vigorous whoosh. According to the technician this is at least the 5th Frigidaire gas range that is doing this. He also said that the fix is to replace the burner with a different diameter hole outlet. He did not indicate that there is any recall for this current model oven but it is very concerning.

    I purchased a Frigidaire Gas Stove in September 2025. When I use the oven, there is a strong gas smell. Also, the oven temperature doesn’t hold. Did a test using a oven thermometer and the oven temperature dropped consistently from 350 degrees to 250 degrees.

    Update 12/4/2025: I’ve also had numerous calls with Frigidaire Customer service. Three technicians have been sent to my house and the gas leak and oven thermostat problems still exist. The broiler doesn’t work and the last technician told me it will never work.

    Consumer’s gas stove had issues since it was installed, gas burners easily turn on with a very slight nudge when walking pass the range knobs, several times came home to my house filled with gas from the faulty knobs and then my dog must have bumped it and the range burner was on full blast with flames for several hours. Manufacturer did nothing. Then in 2025 the range began beeping and displayed trailing 6’s. Pressing timer button did nothing. The preheating would get longer over time, lasting now at least 20 mins. Controls locked. Not isolated incident. Manufacturer did nothing again.

     My Frigidaire Gas Range caught fire, when no one was using it. Luckily, the dogs woke my adult son and he was able to get it put out and call the fire department. The house was filled with black smoke. My son is on oxygen, He was shaken up and taken to the ER for evaluation and released. It appears that the electric control panel caught fire, thankfully the gas line did not explode. The microwave was damaged as well.
