    A Samsung slide in range already with known safety issues regarding their stovetop knobs turning on too easily caused a dangerous situation when said knobs could not be put back onto range securely after being removed to clean. Cooktop was turned on while trying to seat knobs but unable to be turned off with knobs as they suddenly did not fit securely and were unable to adjust to off position. Nothing appears broken on knobs and no issues prior to this incident or immediately before knobs were removed. Elements were on high heat and not able to be immediately adjusted to the off position. Product was not in use and being wiped up. Owner was doing the general cleanup when this occurred. Knob problem may be related to “fix” issued by Samsung to lock knobs in place when not in use. Took 3 adults in home to turn off burners

    Numerous times too often to count including last night, the stove control knobs when accidentally bumped will go on without your knowing. I found my stove on high (usually the first setting to go on accidentally because it is only one notch from the off setting. I am not sure how long the stove was on, but possibly all night.

    My ovens glass door exploded, starting from a crack in a corner and then the entire glass gradually shattered. It had been turned off for 10min after 30min of use. It is a Samsung freestanding electric range, the model number is likely NE63A6311SS. The product was purchased 10 months ago. Luckily I was eating away from the oven when it broke.

    No longer able to use convection function on my Samsung 6.3 cu. ft. 20 inch Smart Slide-in Induction Range with Flex Duo, Smart Dial & Air Fry in Black Stainless Steel due to flaking and chipping of interior oven porcelain paint. Paint flakes pose hazard when ingested and exposed metal parts pose fire hazard. Discovered this issue today, 4/19/2025 and contacted Samsung Customer Service for resolution but Samsung refused to repair or replace product even under possible implied warranty. Customer Service agent acknowledged risk of ingesting paint and risk of fire due to exposed metal and connected me with their technical support team. Tech support agent recommended purchasing touch up enamel paint in onyx blue on their parts website but when I went to samsungparts.com, the website is poorly designed, the item needed does not look to be available and the parts team is only available M-F from 9 AM to 6 PM EST. Purchase date was 5/14/2022. Although I purchased Samsung’s Care plus 2 year warranty, according to Samsung, date of Care plus warranty started on date of purchase and not on day after 1 year manufacturer warranty expired which is very misleading.

    I am using a Samsung slide in electric range (NE59N6630SS) with a rear control panel. The product is five years old (purchased July 2019). The control touch panel for the oven has started to activate on its own. Random oven features simply start turning on - could the broiler, the self cleaning feature, the warmer, or any other feature. When this happens, I also am unable to turn it off and the buttons are completely unresponsive to me as if I am locked out. This seems to mostly happen when Im cooking, and the only way to stop it is to turn off the breaker. Obviously, I am concerned that this could also happen when Im sleeping or away from home, and could easily start a fire.

    Samsung Electric Range NE59J7630SS nearly started a fire in our kitchen as my wife was preheating the oven to cook lunch. It started popping an smoking from the rear of the top electronics panel. Burn electrical component appears to have exploded sending material all over the countertop and wall behind the oven. Wife turned the breaker off and I had to drag the range outside due to the overwhelming smell of burn electrical components.

    Our samsung range NE59J7850WS/AA could not be shut off while baking a pizza in the oven. The broiler apparently came on (and was not purposely turned on) and could not be shut down without flipping off the breaker. The stove was so hot we thought that it might catch fire. The other concerning part of this is the fact that the control panel did not show any indication that any of the oven functions were in operation. I’m thankful we didn’t assume it was off and leave the house.

    1. Oven Smoking & Melting Internally (Electrical Fire Hazard)

    Recently, the stovetop stopped working and began smoking.

    The unit started melting from the inside, and we could smell burning electrical components.

    A Samsung technician inspected the unit and confirmed that an electrical terminal inside had melted and charred.

    This occurred internally and was not caused by user error.

    2. Fire Hazard from Knobs Turning On by Themselves

    Shortly after purchase, the knobs would spin on their own, turning the burners on without being touched.

    This caused multiple small fires when items on the stovetop accidentally ignited.

    I contacted Samsung in 2021, but they refused to fix the issue.

    Much later, Samsung issued a recall for the knobs, admitting this was a known issue, so I don’t have a lot of faith in their ability to address safety concerns.

    I am reporting this issue because my Samsung stovetop, which has front-facing knobs that turn on too easily, caused a potentially dangerous situation in my home. Despite Samsung acknowledging this defect through a voluntary recall, the issue led to permanent damage to my stovetop and could have resulted in a serious fire or injury. The lack of accountability and transparency in Samsungs response has only added to my frustration, and I want to ensure this is properly addressed.

    The product in question is a Samsung gas range with front-facing knobs that have been recalled due to their tendency to turn on with accidental contact. These knobs are extremely sensitive, making it easy to turn the burners on unintentionally.

    The stovetop was being used in a standard home setting. On December 13th, during a family gathering, someone unknowingly bumped a knob while placing a [REDACTED] cookie tray on the stovetop. The stove and oven were not in use that evening, and we had followed all of Samsungs safety recommendations prior to this incident, including regularly checking the knobs, ensuring they were off after cooking, and even removing them when the stove was not in use due to prior accidental activations. However, during this event, we had company over, and the knobs were left on the stove. One person was physically injured as they removed the burning tray from the stove, as well as the incident posing a serious fire hazard. The plastic tray melted completely, turning into liquid on the stovetop. We were lucky that we smelled the burning plastic in time to prevent further damage or a fire. The stovetop itself was permanently damaged, and one of the knobs is now not functioning properly. Given how easily this could have resulted in a fire or serious injury, it is unacceptable that Samsung has closed my claim without resolution despite the known defect.

    This incident highlights the ongoing danger of this product, even after Samsungs recall efforts. I am requesting that Samsung take full responsibility and replace my damaged stovetop and defective knobs at no cost. I also urge Samsung to handle claims related to this issue with greater transparency and efficiency to prevent further potential harm to consumers.

    This is concerning the Samsung Glasstop range that was already reported due to the control knobs being easily turned on by accident if leaned on or in passing. I have the same issue but in additional- the range has a warming spot that is stuck in the on position but shows off on the control panel. Since its not a burner the surface doesnt light to indicate its hot. Only sign is the hot surface light. Noticed it Sunday and the surface was boiling hot as well as the underside of the cabinet and microwave above it.

    The stove has multiple issues. One burner doesnt cycle on and off but just stays turned on, causing a stainless pan to get hot enough that it once burned through a cork trivet.

    The warming zone turns itself on if any steam manages to reach the control panel. The oven intermittently scorches food during the preheating cycle. Recipes that call for starting them in a cold oven are unsafe because that preheat cycle is so hot that it has caught raw food on fire.

    Samsung has sent out a service person twice now and now have me waiting for a replacement part for the burner, but they say that there arent issues with the oven nor the warming zone.

    The Samsung oven was preheating and we smelled a burning/smoking smell from the other room. I came to the kitchen and determined that the smoky, burning smell was coming from the oven. It smelled like burning plastic or electrical fire. I tried to turn off the oven but the oven would not turn off. All the little red lights at the top were on. I called for help and we tried to move the oven away from the wall to unplug it but it was taking too long because the oven was heavy. My family member called 911 and the dispatcher sent the fire department. In the mean time, I turned off the circuit breaker and then the fire department came. They took a look at the smoking oven and said that it was an electrical fire from the oven and that we shouldn’t use it again and get a new one. The wiring to the house is new as of summer 2023 and passed two inspections.

    I was preparing Christmas dinner in my Samsung range (model: NE59N66305). I noticed the smell of burning. When I went to the range to investigate I opened the door and discovered that my dinner rolls had ignited. I swiftly pulled them out of the oven, opened the back door to my home and tossed them in my yard. Upon returning to the oven I noted that there was an error code on the display (C-21) which indicated a overheating condition. I then turned off the range at my breaker box. After letting the oven cool down for 30 minutes, I followed the manufacturer’s trouble shooting guide for the error code and turned it back on at the breaker box. I retested the oven by setting it to 350 degrees without food in it. The oven once again went into the overheat condition with the same error code. It was particularly distressing that the display did not indicate a temperature above 350 degrees when the internal temperature was considerably higher. I called Samsung customer support and related that in my opinion, this range is a serious threat to life and property, and asked them to send out a technician to examine the range. The representative told me that since the warranty had expired, they would not help with this concern unless I payed money to them up front. The representative was unconcerned about the health and safety risk that I communicated to her. The fire caused no injuries, but it exacerbated my mother’s COPD condition due to the smoke in the house.

    My wife and I have been loyal customers of Samsung for several years, and we were excited to purchase the Samsung Electric Range, Model #NE63T8311SS/AA, from Lowes in Delta Park, Oregon, in 2021 as part of our kitchen remodel. However, I am writing today to express my concern over ongoing safety issues we have encountered with this appliance.

    While we have generally been satisfied with the performance of the range, we have experienced repeated problems with the front control knobs, which we have found to be highly sensitive and prone to being accidentally bumped. On multiple occasions, these knobs have been unintentionally turned on, leading to the stove burners activating without our knowledge. On one occasion, a plastic cutting board was partially placed on the stove top when a knob was accidentally turned, causing the cutting board to melt and enough smoke to set off our smoke alarms. This incident posed a serious safety hazard, and it is a situation we are very concerned about.

    Additionally, one of the knobs recently became loose, and I had to glue it back in place because the knob doesn’t fit securely. While we understand that there was a recall on these ranges related to the faulty front knobs, the solution provideda plastic clip for the knobshas proven to be both ineffective and unsightly. The clips frequently fall off when touched, and in some cases, they don’t even work properly at all. This temporary solution has not addressed the core safety issue, and the range has continued to present a risk to our home and family. Given the nature of these ongoing problems and the safety concerns they pose, we are requesting a full replacement of the unit. This range has become a liability in our kitchen, and we believe a replacement is the most effective solution to ensure our peace of mind and safety. We chose this range specifically for our new kitchen, and it is disappointing that it has failed to meet the standards we expected from Samsung.

    We kindly request that you review this situation and provide us with a prompt response regarding how to proceed with the replacement. We look forward to a resolution and appreciate your attention to this serious matter.

    8/12/2024: The consumer received the recall notice (Recall# 24-335), from the firm. He ordered the repair replacement knobs.

    However, he said that the range knobs can still be turned on with the knob covers in use. When the stove was turned on, it used to make a noise. Now the range can be turned on and does not make a noise to notify the user that it is on.

    The problem of walking by the range and accidentally turning it on, is still present even with the knob covers placed on the appliance.

    9/2024 – 10/2024: The consumer reported the issue to the company, and they asked for pictures and a video of the issue. He provided both, but the company’s representative told him that they could send him additional knob covers. The consumer declined, because the covers do not resolve his problem, and he has children in the home.

    Bought end of November 2024 at Lowes. Installed plug, plugged in and have been using it ever since! Today, we turned on the right side front burner and it shot sparks out of the side and is no longer working. I immediately called Lowes since it was purchased less than 30 days ago and I was told that I cannot return an item after 48 hours of purchase. The representative at that time gave me the number to call the manufacturing which is Samsung. I called the Samsung one 800 number and spoke to a female and she connected me to a robotic chat in the chat, I explained what the problem was and it ended up with them giving me phone numbers that were no longer in service . I am furious. I have never had this happen in the past 57 years and neither has my husband who is 64. I am very concerned regarding using the appliance in the safety of my household. The robot gave me some instructions. We followed the instructions. it let us to a dead end. I have requested on several attempts to get a replacement appliance and no one has contacted me to discuss this. I purchased this item through [REDACTED] and will be contacting them tomorrow morning. After speaking to the robot through chat, calling representative at Lowes the one 800 number for Samsung, my husband inspected the appliance and we took additional photos and found the wiring for the right front burner was burnt up and will not work at all. I had that point, instructed my husband to leave the appliance in the condition that it was in and that we would contact someone that would help us immediately considering it is a holiday week and we do plan on using the range for our holiday festivities.

When I reached out to Samsung to inquire about exchanging the stovewilling to pay the difference for a safer modelthey refused to help. To make matters worse, one of the stoves knobs is already broken, which is shocking considering Ive owned stoves for 35 years and never experienced this with any other brand. The customer service experience was appalling. I spent over two hours on hold, being transferred from department to department, only to be told they couldnt do anything because my product is out of warranty and wasnt registered. I purchased this stove directly from Samsung.com, yet they wouldnt even provide a replacement knob free of charge. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a product with a known safety recall. On top of that, none of the customer service agents spoke clear English, making the process even more frustrating. Samsung, this is a disgrace. I will never buy another product from this company.

It smelled like electrical fire and we immediately called our Home Warranty Service ([REDACTED]). On 26 November 2024, [REDACTED] sent [REDACTED] (2 technicians) to service the oven. They (the technicians) ran diagnostics test and checked the wiring behind the stove. Upon completion on their testing they said they did not see anything wrong. The next day (November 27th) we used the stove top without incident. Thanksgiving morning (28 November 2024), we (spouse/myself) used the stove went to cook Turkey sausages to cook in the oven. The turkey sausages were on a parchment paper-covered pan. The oven was set at 365 for 30 minutes. In 15 mins., or less the sausages were charred and the blackened parchment paper crumbled to the touch. I have never known parchment paper to be reduced to ashes even at 425 degrees or broiling. We reduced the heat to 175 degrees and placed some cornbread in a [REDACTED] glass/dish to warm up. 7-10 minutes later, the cornbread was ash and the heat coming from the oven felt as if the temperature had not been reduced at all. The oven seems to be heating up at an accelerated temperature and we immediately turned the oven off and unplugged the appliance to avoid a potential fire hazard. This morning, Monday, 2 December 2024 we called [REDACTED] to follow-up and send service again.

    I was preheating my Samsung slide in oven yesterday (manufacturer code NE59J7630SG/AA) when it suddenly starting popping loudly followed by an eruption of flame behind the back control panels. Luckily I was nearby and the fire hadn’t spread too far before I was able to turn the oven off. The fire went out on it’s own, but the red “Hot Surface” indicator light remained on (while surface was not hot) until I pulled the oven out and unplugged it from the outlet.

    This was extremely frightening to my youngest daughter and me. We were both shocked at how sudden and ferociously the fire started and are relieved that no one was seriously hurt enough to require medical attention. I see that other consumers reported the almost identical issue with this same model with more serious consequences. I found a recall (number 24-335) which included other Samsung models - again, almost identical situations - but my model (NE59J7630SG/AA) was not included in the recall.

    1/2024: The consumer and his family started experiencing the problem of the knobs being turned on without their knowledge.

    10/2024: The plastic cover on the side of the range broke and fell down into the stove. The consumer contacted the company for the past 3 weeks.

    10/28/2024: A manufacturer technician came out and replaced the control panel, but he installed the same type of panel that came with the stove.

    Today, the consumer was told that they could receive the recall replacement covers.

    The covers do not solve the problem, because they must remember to turn off the range/oven after every use. If they forget to turn off the oven, they could have a house fire.

    Additionally, the protruding part of the valve that the control knob would fit on, broke, and had to be repaired. Furthermore, they had 2 incidents of the stove being left on without them knowing it, while their dog and birds were in the home, with the oven on.

    Lastly, they do not like the appearance of the knobs.

    (11/20/2024) The main concern is that the knob covers are not fixing the issue. The range is still danger to use if the covers are not on the range.

    I own a Samsung Range Model No. NE58K9850WS Serial No. OD217DCJ400217D which you already know to have dangerously designed control knobs. Just accidentally brushing against these controls will inadvertently turn on the burners on this model kitchen range. In my own experience, I have had two small fires and one painful burn as a result of this faulty design. Instead of a recall, you have apparently authorized Samsung to provide the [REDACTED] solution of glue-on covers that will supposedly preclude this issue. These covers are, however, so cumbersome that they will quickly be damaged or discarded because of the major inconvenience that they create. The solution that you approved is obviously inadequate and I ask you to reconsider. Additionally, please note that the Samsung website they created to provide customers access to even this [REDACTED] solution is not working. Email communication with Samsung is being handled by AI and produces illogical circulars responses. They are not handling this well and I could supply the email string I have had with them as a clear example.

    We have a Samsung slide in stove that had a recall due to faulty knobs. Samsung sent a remedy which was just plastic covers to go over the knobs to prevent them from turning on accidentally. However, these covers do not stop them from turning on. In fact, the covers cause the stove to turn on even more often, with or without accidental contact with the knobs. So we have no remedy from Samsung, and I am concerned about my stove catching fire when I am not home.

    My smooth top range turned on without my knowledge as I was placing some groceries on the counter adjacent to it. I must have brushed against it slightly and turned a knob. One bag of groceries was partially on the cooktop and started melting. Luckily, I smelled the weird smell and grabbed the smoldering bag with a kitchen towel and threw it into the sink. As I swung it in an arc, containers of yogurt splattered against the opposite wall and the refrigerator. I am reporting this now, because I just accidentally turned on a front burner again this morning as I was cleaning the above range microwave. The bacon grease in a pan started to heat up and I noticed it. This is very dangerous and I am concerned that someday my dog, a Great Pyrenees mix, will turn it on while counter surfing when I am out of the house. Since this has happened twice, I am putting the estimated date of the first incident.

    I am writing as a consumer of a Samsung smooth top electric slide in range/oven. Model NE63T811AA (which I purchased online on the Samsung website, boy was that a mistake!) I bought this oven September 28, 2023, it was delivered to my home October 3, 2023. I was about to leave my home on November 13 and I heard crackling on the top of my stove and a silicone pad from my microwave was on top of the glass and caught fire and we don’t even know how the stove got turned on! I put a claim into Samsung, they sent technicians out, they cleaned off the top of the stove (not completely since two spots are now permanent) and I told them the stove is faulty because as soon as your body leans against a knob, it turns on!

    I did some research, and noticed online there’s a class action suit against them for this very reason and still they would not exchange the appliance! I wrote emails, I contacted different departments of Samsung and nothing! I even contacted the [REDACTED] and they tried to work it out with Samsung and still nothing. In addition, I had another fire on 8/27/24! My 17 yo son brought the groceries in and put the bag on top of the stove for a moment, must have leaned on a knob and again a fire! I called 911, the fire department came since my whole kitchen and living room were filled with smoke and I wanted to have it documented for Samsung. All I had asked was for them to replace my stove with one that has the knobs on the rear of the unit. THEY WILL NOT DO IT! Oh, and one thing I forgot to mention They put out a voluntary email August 21 admitting that the knobs are too easily turned on and they would send out free knob locks or knob covers, depending on the model! I received the locks in the mail and they are just little plastic pieces that go over the top so that you can’t turn the knob. I don’t know about any of you, but when I spend $800 on an appliance, I don’t want to have to put a piece of plastic over the front to fix a mechanical mistake that the company is aware is a MECHANICAL DEFECT ON THEIR PART!

    An inspector came out, was on the phone with Samsung for 20 min, took some photos of the damage, and they won’t even send somebody out to try and fix the damage on the glass top. Once again they have closed my claim! I bought a Samsung stove because I have their refrigerator, their microwave and several televisions and thought that they were a good company and would stand behind their product!! Boy was I wrong!

    I own a Samsung Slide-in electric range M/C NE58R9311SS/AA, SN0GJ57DCN401956Z, which is one that I received a recall notice for Aug 8th, 2024. The email speaks of a fire hazard due to knobs being able to be accidentally turned on, which definitely occurs. I do not see anything about the digital user interface on the front however, it probably gets turned on several times a week from my dogs noses touching it. I have found it dozens of times by hearing a beep, or seeing that my dog has turned on the oven. Just brushing into it activates the digital display on the oven, if I wasn’t around to hear/see it happening, my oven might have been turned on while no one was around to turn it off

Someone in my household leaned on the knob, turning on a burner that wasn’t noticed until it had burned through a mat that is kept on the stove top to prevent scratching when not in use. I replaced the knobs on my own with metal ones from Amazon compatible with the stove.

    The accidental contact happened 2 (two) times. The first time happened when my husband pushed slowly and carefully our electric range to the wall after he finished our Over The Range Microwave Oven installation. We covered the top of the electric range with sheets and towels to protect the glass top in case of accidental fall. My husband suddenly removed his hands from the range saying it’s hot. Right after that we both felt that something was burning. That were the sheets and towels we covered the glass top. Luckily my husband was not seriously injured. The sheets and towels were destroyed and our glass top covered with black and burned materials. We both hardly removed all the burning staff, and with our best attempts there are still spots that can not be removed. I am very disappointed because this range is new and just delivered when this happened. After we installed our new kitchen cabinets we had to put our electric range back to its place, and even we were very careful the accidental contact happened again.     I chose to report my case for many reasons, but two in particular. First, since Samsung has finally announced only a recall on one style of their cooktop stoves, I believe consumers have the right to know that Samsung is aware that this design flaw is not limited to the stoves with the knobs on the front of the oven exclusively. My stove had them on the back panel, and they were the source of the fire that destroyed my entire home. The second reason I am reporting this situation is that even though I was not in the house at the time of the fire, I suffered profoundly. I waited things out, thinking they would get better once normalcy returned to my life, but none of my post-traumatic stress, depression, emotional/physical stress, or anxiety has improved. I have developed ADHD from this traumatic event and OCD. Furthermore, I have medical problems still being investigated, with the possibility of having a relationship between them and the exposure to the smoke and the carcinogens in the air at my home after the fire. Additionally, my daughter, who was 18 at the time, has experienced her own set of emotional demons over this day. On Monday, August 15, 2022, my daughter and I were getting things packed for her first year of college. She was leaving in just four days to attend the welcome weekend. I tell you this because my tiny home had trunks and boxes stacked wherever we could find a place for them so that we could load the car more easily. So, you can picture it better; my quaint home was 990 square feet, with a cape cod design. The floor plan was two bedrooms upstairs; one was my daughter’s room, and the other was my office. Downstairs was the living room on one side of the house, and off the other side of the home was a dining room and kitchen that was opened 98% of the way, with only a little breakfast bar separating the two rooms. Down the small hallway was a bathroom and a bedroom. There was also a flight of stairs in the hallway that went to the basement and garage. In my dining room was an [REDACTED], set to “on guard” / “away.” I had a [REDACTED] in the downstairs bedroom, which I used as a baby monitor for my granddaughter, who visited earlier that morning. I had [REDACTED] monitor the rooms in both the living room and my office upstairs. I was informed by a few firefighters and the fire chief that the first 911 call was from a security system or my [REDACTED]. I did not know that was possible, but I do know that my [REDACTED] noted the sound of an explosion and recorded the audio of the fire bellowing in my home. Before the day of the fire, the stove was bought at Lowes nine months earlier. I still have the stove in my possession because I firmly believe it needs to be investigated further, and Samsung needs to be held accountable for the pain and suffering they have caused me, along with how they have destroyed my future! Additionally, a few weeks before the fire, this new stove’s LED screen began to glitch for an unknown reason. Now, finally, here are the details of what happened that day. That morning, my daughter and I watched my granddaughter, who was one year and three months old at the time. She stayed for a couple of hours, and then she went home. My daughter and I were exhausted after chasing her, so we decided to nap. When we got up late afternoon, we noticed that the electricity must have gone out briefly because all the clocks were blinking. (The fire marshal verified this information) My daughter ate leftovers that required no reheating, so the cooktop was not used, and I decided that I was going to run some last-minute errands for college things. My daughter and I left our home with our cat, exotic parrot, German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, and Shokri and drove 4.7 miles to the store. That’s when I got a phone call from my neighbor who said smoke was coming from my house. “A LOT OF SMOKE!” My daughter and I got right back in the car and headed home. Halfway back, we were passed by firetrucks heading to my house from another municipality. By the time I reached my street, we were gone only 30 minutes total from when we first left, but there were already seven fire companies missing animals, and the house was a complete loss. This fire was investigated extensively, and there was no disputing that the stove was the cause. No one can say for sure how the stove caused it since I know I did not use it, nor did my daughter. One investigator said it was on. The other said he thought it was bumped by one of my large dogs jumping up at the stove and pushing something into it. Either way, the stove, an inanimate object, had destroyed my past, present, and future.

    I purchased a Samsung 30 Inch 6.3 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Induction Range with Self Cleaning, in Black Stainless, in November of 2022. Model Number is NE63B8211SG. Our house was being renovated at the time, so scheduled the delivery for January of 2023. Withing the first month, we had 2 fires, where a stovetop burner was inadvertantly turned on, and also a 3rd fire a few months later. Shortly after delivery of the new range, during construction, a worker had placed some cardboard on the stovetop to protect it from dust and paint. He evidently had brushed up against one of the front-mounted control knobs, activating one of the burners. We had moved to the back of the house for some work, when we all smelled smoke, and the smoke alarm went off. We ran to the kitchen and the fire was blazing! We immediately put it out. Thinking it was our fault, we did not report the issue. And yet, a few weeks later, I had purchased a stovetop protector matt to cover the stovetop and protect it from anything set on the glass top. It too ended up catching fire! So we made sure not to put anything on top of the range.     3 times the electric stove Samsung model NE58R9311SS/AA purchased at Lowes on 12/5/2019 has turned on its burners when bumped by individual guests in my kitchen. One situation resulted in glass baking dish blowing up and burning my kitchen rug in 4 places as well as depositing glass all over the kitchen and into the rug. But much more frightening is the fact that when I am cooking and any of my clothing even has the slightest contact with the front control panel, the oven turns on and I don’t know it until it reaches a high temp. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Practitioner for Burns, Trauma, ICUs and having taught Burn Care Management this scares me every time I look at this stove. I try not to cook on it and will never buy a Samsung again. You need to replace these stoves. At the hospital we wonder why you would make such a product.

    Slide-in range NE58K9430SS - smelled smokey/electrical smell. Samsung-recommended repairman found fan motor not working correctly indicated fluid running from top motor to lower motor was cause of issue -“fortunate noticed before a fire was started”. Those were replaced - the after using only 1-2 times oven stopped heating. HE then replaced the “relay board” after wait of almost a month for the part. Now see recall regarding “accidental starting” and need to replace switches.

    The consumer has an induction range with the control knobs on the front. The consumer contacted the manufacturer because they saw CPSC Recall# 24-235.

    However, the manufacturer sent the consumer a reply indicating: “Based on the information provided, your product is not affected by this recall.”

    The consumer said that his family has accidentally turned the range on numerous times over the past 2 years.

    The consumers remain conscious of the matter and have never been injured. However, they feel that the problem may be larger than what’s noted in the recall.

    I have had the Samsung Duo Flex induction range for two years. The enamel in the oven has now started to crack and flake off. I cannot use the oven because enamel flakes fly around during convection cooking and get in our food. Samsung claims this is cosmetic and not a problem, but enamel is toxic! We cannot eat any food made in the oven. After researching online, many others are having the same issue and being told by Samsung that this is not an issue and merely cosmetic. This exact model is still for sale today.

    Samsung electric stove model # NE59J7630SG/AA made a loud noise and started on fire at the rear of the control panel. Thankfully my wife was standing there and turned the oven off. We pulled it away from the wall and unplugged it. Had she not been standing there we could have lost our home. I read a Samsung forum online and it appears MANY others are having the same issue. See link ([REDACTED]) I contacted Samsung this morning and they acted like they’ve never heard of this. There needs to be a recall before someone loses their life.

    Upon setting our Samsung NE59J7630SG electric range to preheat popping noises were heard from it and immediately flames and smoke began coming from the back of the range. At the time the stovetop was being used but this only occurred when the oven was turned on to preheat. Turning the oven off and pulling it away from the wall the flames stopped and the damage to the range and our wall was evident. When researching it appears this is a frequent issue so I reached out to Samsung even though the range was no longer under warranty. Samsung has deemed it unrepairable due to the fire damage to the “frame”.

    The product, in the report: Smooth top, electric range (5 burners) with oven and air fryer

    (3/2023): The consumer noticed if she used 1 or more of the range burners, the oven would lock itself. She could not unlock the oven, and this happened even when the oven was in the off position. She had to trip the breaker, to unlock the oven. Oven time this problem because worse and began to happen more frequently.

    (2024): When she bakes food, the oven unexpectedly turns off and on. The oven stays off for 2 – 3 minutes, then turns back on by itself. However, the oven then starts to re-heat, so that it can reach the temperature that it was previously set to. This may happen once or twice, while she is cooking.

    There have not been any injuries or incidents.

    She will contact the manufacturer to report this issue to them.
