The oven burns everything and occasionally when I turn on the oven, the front burner comes on. Twice it has almost caught my house on fire. I have lost rugs, pots and pans, food, stove top covers and now I am afraid to use my own stove. The tech said it is very common!

The product, in the report: Samsung 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Freestanding Electric Range with No-Preheat Air Fry & Convection in Black Stainless Steel
I was using the electric range for normal everyday cooking. After taking food out of the oven, I turned the oven off and placed the baking tray on the cooktop. Immediately after being turned off, the range began acting erratically and activating heating elements uncommanded: the warming center burner turned itself on, and the oven cavity began cycling back on into a 350 F convection bake. I pressed the OFF buttons and it kept cycling. I even engaged the control lock to force the appliance to shut down, but the heating elements continued to try to activate regardless. The range had to be completely de-energized at our home’s main circuit breaker panel to eliminate an imminent fire hazard. No injuries occurred, but the inability to shut off heating elements creates a severe fire and burn hazard. Samsung Customer Support was contacted multiple times regarding open Ticket #[REDACTED]. On support chat, a Samsung representative explicitly stated on the record that keeping the stove disconnected at the breaker is necessary for physical safety. However, Samsung is refusing to inspect or address this dangerous defect because the standard 1-year manufacturer warranty expired on October 31, 2024, attempting to shift the cost of a known fire hazard onto the consumer. Despite three separate inquiries and assurances of an ‘urgent safety flag,’ Samsung has failed to place a single phone call or provide a case manager. The appliance remains completely unusable and shut off at the breaker

The product, in the report: electric Samsung stove/oven stainless steel Samsung - 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Freestanding Electric Range
Two of the stovetop knobs are broken and it is difficult to turn off the stove because you have to take the knob off and manually turn the steel to off mode. after cleaning the kitchen the knob accidentally was tapped and I had no idea the stovetop was on all day while I was at work. I cam home and almost put my hand on top of the stovetop range that had been on for 4 hours while I was away.

The product, in the report: Samsung 30” 6.3 cu. Ft. Smart Electric Slide-in True Convection Range with Smart Dial, Air Fry Model #: NE63T8711SS/AA Serial #: 0HF47DCT200599N
During August 2026, my 8-year-old niece accidentally bumped one of the control knobs on my Samsung electric range, Model NE63T8711SS/AA. As a result, the unit unexpectedly activated, filling the home with smoke and creating a significant fire hazard. Fortunately, the situation was discovered before a fire occurred, but the incident presented a serious safety risk to my family and property. I would also like to clarify that the August 2026 incident was not the first time this condition has occurred. On several prior occasions, someone merely brushed against the front control knobs and the range unexpectedly activated. At the time, I did not realize this behavior was associated with a known safety defect and therefore did not report the incidents. It was only after learning of the recall that I understood these prior unintended activations were consistent with the hazard identified by the CPSC. The August 2026 event was simply the most serious occurrence, as it resulted in the home filling with smoke and nearly causing a fire. After researching the issue, I learned that this model is subject to a recall involving the front-mounted knobs and the potential for unintended activation. I subsequently contacted Samsung to report the incident and inquire why I was never notified of the recall despite having the appliance registered through Samsung’s app and account services. Unfortunately, Samsung representatives were unable to explain why I did not receive any recall notification. Samsung arranged for a technician to inspect the unit. While I understand the technician was unable to duplicate the condition during the inspection, that finding does not negate the fact that the incident occurred. The inability to reproduce a defect during a single inspection does not eliminate the underlying safety concern, especially when the product is already the subject of a recall addressing the same hazard. I am not interested in receiving knob covers as a remedy. However, I would be willing to consider replacement of the affected components if Samsung believes that would adequately correct the defect. Given the seriousness of the incident and the known recall, I believe a more comprehensive resolution is warranted. I am particularly concerned that Samsung appears to be dismissing a reported recall-related safety event solely because the technician could not replicate the issue. Waiting until a fire, personal injury, or significant property damage occurs before taking meaningful corrective action would be unacceptable, especially where a known safety defect has already been acknowledged through a recall. Accordingly, I am requesting that Samsung take proactive action by either: 1. Repairing the recalled defect through replacement of the affected components or 2. Replacing the appliance entirely if Samsung cannot ensure that the safety issue has been fully resolved. Given the history of multiple unintended activations, I do not believe this matter can be dismissed solely because a technician was unable to duplicate the condition during a single service visit. Intermittent safety-related defects are often difficult to reproduce on demand, but that does not mean the hazard does not exist. The repeated unintended activation of the range is consistent with the safety issue identified in the recall and warrants corrective action before an injury, fire, or significant property damage occurs.

The product, in the report: Samsung Black oven range standard 30 inches. Glass top. 11 years of use. Normal operations.
My Samsung oven range model FE-R300SX had an internal electrical fire during a normal warm up cycle to get the oven to 400 degrees. I, [REDACTED], was using the oven. At around 250 degrees F, the oven made a clear noise of electrical arching sound. I turned the Bake off button and the electrical arching sound went away. Smoke started billowing from internal parts of the oven. I pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. Fire smoke continued out of the oven for another minuite afterwards until it subsided. Due to me being in the immediate area and addressing the issue, no visable damage to my house that I can see. However, not sure if there would have been any damage to wireing.

The product, in the report: Samsung black stainless steel built-in double wall oven
In August 2025, my Samsung double wall oven unexpectedly turned on broil by itself and caused a fire at my Woodmere, New York home. We caught it before it spread. No one was hurt and I reported no property damage. I do not know the technical cause. I previously reported a C-21 error to Samsung. A technician visited on August 8, 2025 under service order [REDCATED] , but I was told the problem could not be found. The order closed without a repair. The oven now shows C-A2, not C-21. I do not know whether that error shares a cause with the broil fire. I told Samsung about the fire and current error on September 25, 2026. Samsung escalated my complaint under VOC claim [REDCATED]and tickets [REDCATED] and [REDCATED], but there is no diagnosis or confirmed repair appointment. I am reporting a possible fire hazard, not a verified design defect.

The product, in the report: Samsung electric range bespoke
“I was using the large burner on my 2023 Samsung Bespoke electric range (Model NE63CB831512AA). I explicitly turned the physical knob to the ‘Low’ setting, and the digital indicator display confirmed it was set to ‘Low.’ Shortly after, the burner malfunctioned and went to maximum ‘High’ heat on its own, completely unregulated. The digital indicator still falsely displayed that the burner was on ‘Low.’ The element stayed locked on full blast, causing the pot to violently boil over and burn the bottom of the cookware. I had to physically intervene to prevent a kitchen fire. The burner suffered an internal electrical or mechanical switch failure, delivering continuous 240V power to the element regardless of the user setting or the control display. This model is already under an active CPSC recall for knob safety, but this incident represents a severe, separate internal component fire hazard.” Had to turn off breaker switch off.

I was about to boil some water and one of the slide-in stove knobs sounded like it was sizzling. When my mother tried to investigate, it knocked all the power out. We had to have someone turn power on from the outside. This was not the first burner to give us this malfunction. It was a Samsung stove, model number NE63T8511SS/AA.

The product, in the report: Samsung Electric Range
I have an electric Samsung Range. Model #NE63A6711SS Manufactured June 2021. Thankfully, I was in the kitchen doing dishes and my range started beeping as if it was coming on. My oven started heating up. It’s a smart range so I thought maybe someone was connected to it? Nope, it randomly comes on. I keep my breaker off till I need it. I can’t imagine this happening if I wasn’t home.

The product, in the report: Samsung slide-in electric range, model NE63T8111SS/AA
On September 1, 2026, a fire occurred on our Samsung slide-in electric range, model NE63T8111SS/AA, while we were away from our home traveling. Before leaving the home, no one had intentionally turned on the cooktop. An acacia wood stove cover was resting on top of the glass cooktop. While we were away, our dog sitter arrived at the house and was outside when she observed smoke. She entered the home to investigate and discovered that the acacia wood cover on top of the range was severely burning/charred. She removed the cover from the range, preventing the incident from progressing further. No one was home using the range when the incident began. We have dogs in the home, although we did not witness what caused the burner to become activated and therefore cannot state whether a pet, or another mechanism activated the control. After the incident, we learned that our Samsung range, model NE63T8111SS/AA, is specifically included in CPSC Recall No. 24-335. The recall states that the front-mounted knobs can be activated by accidental contact by humans or pets, posing a fire hazard. The acacia wood cover sustained severe burn and charring damage. Three days after the incident, our home and the range still have a strong charred/burned odor. We have photographs of the burned stove cover, the range, and the product identification label, and we have retained the burned cover. Our dog sitter witnessed the smoke and discovered the incident. I am reporting this because the circumstances appear consistent with the fire hazard identified in Recall No. 24-335. We are also reporting the incident to Samsung and requesting that the range and any resulting smoke/fire damage be evaluated

No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 31, 2026, sent to the company Sep 3, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 18, 2026
The product, in the report: The product is a Samsung Freestanding Electric Range (Stove/Oven combo) with a stainless steel and black finish. It features a smooth ceramic glass cooktop with 5 heating elements and front-mounted control knobs. The appliance operates on a 240V electrical connection. The primary safety issue involves the manufacturer-provided plastic knob safety locks (the official recall remedy), which are meant to prevent accidental activation but are easily bypassed and removed by a toddler.
I am filing a formal safety complaint against Samsung regarding my electric range model NE63T8111SS/AA (Serial Number: 0HEW7DCRB06160Y). This specific appliance model is subject to an official federal safety recall due to severe, documented fire hazards caused by accidental knob activation.Samsung recently sent me their official remedy, which consists of plastic knob safety locks. This corrective action has completely failed to secure the appliance. My 18-month-old daughter can easily remove, open, and bypass these plastic locks, leaving the burner knobs fully exposed to her touch. This failure creates an active, imminent, and extreme fire hazard, as well as a severe risk of burns and injury to my toddler. In addition to this safety hazard, the appliance is mechanically malfunctioning: one burner has failed completely after only 4 years of use, and the remaining control switches are operating defectively. When I contacted Samsung Customer Support to report that their official recall safety remedy failed to protect my child, they refused to send a technician unless I paid out-of-pocket, citing that my commercial warranty had expired. As a low-income household with no financial resources to pay for a private technician, it is highly negligent for Samsung to demand payment to resolve a critical, active fire risk caused by a defective remedy on a recalled appliance. I am urgently requesting that the CPSC investigate the insufficiency of Samsung’s plastic knob locks, as they do not successfully prevent toddlers from activating the stove.2. The product, in the report: ESTUFA SAMSUNG. COLOR PLATA Y NEGRO. Model: NE63A6511SSAA 02 Serial Number: 0J407DAX300507V Purchase date: May 22, 2024 Purchased from: Lowes item number: 3648606
On 08 / 12/2026. our Samsung electric range caught fire while no one was actively using it. I was at home working in my garage when the smoke alarms went off. When I went inside, the kitchen was filled with heavy black smoke, and the visibility was very poor. The range and the area around it were badly damaged, including the control panel and a kitchen hood, and there was smoke damage to the kitchen cabinets.
Before the fire, one of the range knobs had behaved unusually. It did not remain aligned with the other knobs and made an unusual sound when it was turned on. I had also noticed that the knobs could be activated by light contact while cleaning.
I cannot determine the exact cause of the fire, but because the fire occurred with the range and its controls involved, I am reporting this incident as a potential product safety issue. Samsung has reviewed my claim, but denied responsibility and stated that the only option available is a repair that I would have to pay for out of pocket. I have photographs and video of the incident and the damage.
No one was injured. However, when I discovered the fire, there was so much smoke that it was difficult to see and breathe normally.

The product, in the report: Samsung NE58F9710WS/AA electric range, stainless steel finish. It is a 30-inch slide-in electric range designed for residential kitchen use, with a smooth glass cooktop and multiple electric heating elements, including a bridge element. The unit also includes an electric oven with convection/fan operation. The appliance is approximately 30 inches wide and is intended for standard household cooking, baking, roasting, and stovetop food preparation.
The Bridge Element does not turn off, even when all burner controls and elements are set to the OFF position. The Bridge Element continues to remain active/heated, indicating that the appliance is not shutting off as commanded.
This is a serious safety concern because a heating element remaining energized while the controls indicate OFF can create a risk of burns, overheating, fire, or damage to the appliance and surrounding area. The range should be inspected immediately for a possible faulty switch, relay, control board, or other electrical component.

First aid Made Aug 12, 2026, sent to the company Aug 17, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 1, 2026
The product, in the report: Samsung 30 inch Smart Slide-In Electric Range with convection oven, model #NE63T8311SG/AA. The range is black stainless steel with a smooth black glass electric cooktop and front-mounted control knobs. It is approximately 30 inches wide 36-37 inches high, 28-29 inches deep. The oven capacity is approxiamtely 6.3 cubic feet.
I own a Samsung electric range, model NE63T8311SG/AA. The range is already included in Samsung’s existing recall involving the front mounted control knobs, however I am reposting a separate safety concern involving the cooktop burners and their ability to properly regulate temperature. The cooktop burners do not consistently regulate heat according to the setting selected on the control knob. A burner becomes excessively hot even when it is set to a lower cooking temperature, making it difficult to safely control the heat while cooking. Adjusting the control to a lower setting does not result in the expected reduction in burner temperature. I am concerned that this malfunction creates a potential burn or fire hazard. A person using the range could reasonably believe that a burner is operating at a low or moderate temperature based upon the control setting when in fact the actual cooking service is significantly hotter. This is not simply the normal cycling on and off of a radiant electric burner. My concern is that the amount of heat being produced does not appropriately correspond with the selected control setting. I am submitting this report because I am concerned this may not be an isolated problem. I would like the CPSC to investigate whether other consumers with this Samsung model or related models have reported similar problems with the cooktop temperature regulation and whether a defect in the burner controls, switches or other components may present a broader safety hazard.

No one hurt Made Aug 5, 2026, sent to the company Aug 10, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 24, 2026
The product, in the report: Samsung 30 inch Bespoke Smart Slide In Electric Range with Air Fry in Black Stainless Steel. Front mounted push and turn burner control knobs. Smooth glass ceramic cooktop with four radiant electric burners. Wi Fi SmartThings connectivity. Approximately 6.3 cubic foot oven capacity. Purchased new from Samsung in November 2022. This model is included in the 2024 Samsung CPSC recall involving unintended activation of the front mounted burner control knobs.
I am reporting an unintended activation hazard involving a Samsung slide in electric range model NE63T8511SG AA that is included in the 2024 Samsung CPSC recall for front mounted control knobs.
Since purchasing the range in late 2022 my household has experienced approximately 5 to 10 unintended burner activations caused by incidental contact with the front mounted control knobs by both people and a pet. Most activations occurred when someone brushed against the knobs while working in the kitchen. In several instances the burners activated when nothing had been left on the cooktop.
There have been three separate incidents in which unintended burner activation ignited combustible materials left on the cooktop after cooking had been completed.
First incident approximately March 2023 estimated. A pet unintentionally activated a burner after jumping against the front of the range while groceries were on the cooktop. A cardboard beverage carton ignited.
Second incident approximately January 2026 estimated. Incidental contact with the control knobs unintentionally activated a burner after a boxed coffee maker had been temporarily placed on the cooktop while unloading purchases. The cardboard box ignited.
Third incident July 15 2026 at approximately 940 PM. A family member unintentionally activated a burner while reaching across the range to access an overhead cabinet. An empty pizza box left on the cooktop ignited producing flames and smoke. Seven people were present in the home including children ages 1 and 4. The fire was extinguished before it spread beyond the items on the cooktop. No physical injuries occurred although the smoke caused eye irritation and frightened members of the household.
After Samsung announced the recall I promptly participated in the recall program and obtained the supplied knob lock safety devices. I also purchased additional aftermarket knob covers in an effort to further reduce the likelihood of unintended activation. Despite these efforts unintended activations continued to occur because the recall remedy depends on users remembering to remove and reinstall four separate knob locks after every cooking session. In my household this has not proven to be a practical or reliable long term solution.
I am submitting this report because I believe the unintended activation hazard continues to present a fire risk despite my participation in the recall program.

The product, in the report: Samsung NE59J7630SS, 30 inch freestanding electrical range. 5.9 CU FT. true convection oven, a flexible 5 element ceramic smoothtop cooktop. Black and stainless steel made in 2015
I was baking dinner in the oven and cooking on the stovetop. I heard a buzzing sound and then flames started shooting up behind the stove. After a minute the flames stopped and I was able to turn the stovetop and oven off. After the oven and stovetop were cool enough, we slid the oven away from the wall. We could see that the flames had come from the vent at the back of the stove. We removed the back panel and the controller board was black from the fire. Had the wall behind the stove not been tiled, the wall could have caught fire and resulted in a very dangerous situation and our house being burned down.

No one hurt Made Aug 1, 2026, sent to the company Aug 5, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 19, 2026
The product, in the report: Samsung 30 inch, 6.3 cubic foot, front control slide in electric range with Wi-Fi, fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish, front mounted control knobs, electric ceramic cooktop, and oven for residential cooking and baking. Manufactured in July 2023 and purchased from Best Buy on November 2, 2023.
I am reporting a dangerous malfunction involving a Samsung slide-in electric range, model NE63T8111SS AA, serial number 0HEW7DDW701301R, manufactured in July 2023, and used for normal residential cooking.
On July 13, 2026, the range turned on by itself without anyone touching or activating the controls and began heating rapidly toward maximum heat. The display flashed bAd LinE. A few hours before this occurred, we had noticed that the clock had reset itself even though the circuit breaker had not tripped. The range was unplugged immediately when it began overheating.
Samsung was contacted, and an authorized service appointment was scheduled. I was charged a service fee of USD 140.
On July 21, 2026, the authorized technician inspected the range and diagnosed the main electronic control board as defective. He replaced the control board and charged an additional USD 211 for parts and labor. After completing the repair, the technician specifically stated that the range was fixed and safe to use again.
Approximately three hours after the technician left, the range turned on by itself again without anyone touching the controls. It rapidly heated toward maximum heat, displayed bAd LinE, and had to be unplugged immediately. The circuit breaker did not trip. The control board replacement had not corrected the dangerous malfunction.
Samsung was contacted again. A follow-up service visit was delayed and rescheduled. On July 30, 2026, the same technician returned. After approximately four to five minutes, he stated that he would not perform any additional work because he believed there was nothing wrong with the range and that the problem was caused by the electrical outlet, plug, or household wiring. The service ticket was then canceled without the range being repaired.
Because the technician blamed the home electrical system, I paid USD 100 for a licensed electrician to inspect and test the outlet, plug, breaker, range circuit, electrical supply, household wiring, and the appliance connection.
The electrician measured approximately 238 volts line-to-line and 118 volts line-to-neutral on each leg. He verified the electrical supply at both the range receptacle and the appliance terminal block and found no overheating, arcing, loose terminations, physical damage, or other electrical defect that would explain the range turning itself on or heating uncontrollably.
The range has remained unplugged and unusable because it is not safe to operate. It has been inoperable throughout this matter for approximately three weeks.
The home is occupied by four children, including an infant, as well as household pets. No person or pet was touching or near the range controls when the range activated.
I later discovered that this exact model is included in CPSC Recall 24-335 because of a fire hazard involving unintended activation of the front-mounted knobs. Samsung and its authorized service company had the exact model number and were repeatedly told that the range turned on and overheated, but no one informed me about the recall.
I understand that the existing recall concerns knobs being activated through accidental contact by people or pets. The recall remedy consists of knob locks or covers, and the accompanying guidance advises consumers to keep children and pets away from the knobs and verify that the knobs are off before leaving home or going to bed.
The incidents I am reporting appear different because no person or pet touched or came into contact with the controls. The range activated by itself, including after the main electronic control board was replaced and the appliance was declared safe. Measures intended to prevent accidental contact with the knobs do not appear to address this no-contact activation and uncontrolled heating condition.
No physical injury or property damage occurred because the range was discovered and unplugged quickly. However, the malfunction created a serious risk of fire, burns, injury, and property damage. If no one had been present to notice the range heating, a fire or serious injury could have occurred.
I paid USD 140 for the original service visit, USD 211 for a control board replacement that did not correct the malfunction, and USD 100 for a licensed electrician after the technician blamed the home electrical system. Despite repeated contacts and service visits, the cause of the range turning itself on and heating uncontrollably remains unidentified and unrepaired.
Requested action. Please investigate whether activation occurring without any contact with the controls represents a different or additional safety defect affecting ranges covered by Recall 24-335. Please also review whether the incident was appropriately escalated and whether applicable manufacturer reporting obligations were satisfied after the authorized repair failed and the range activated by itself again approximately three hours later.

The product, in the report: Samsung electric slide-in range, model number NE63A6751SG AA. [Color black stainless] finish, standard freestanding slide-in kitchen range size (30 inch). Purchased approximately 3 or 4 years ago. The issue involves the front-left [or specify which burner] surface burner/heating element overheating beyond the temperature setting selected.
I was simmering chili on low heat on my stovetop when the burner overheated way beyond the setting I had it on, which burned the food and caused heavy smoke to fill up the downstairs and part of the upstairs of my house. I left the house right away and took my baby with me so he wouldn’t be exposed to the smoke. My husband came home and opened everything up to air the house out. This is actually the third time this exact same burner/part has overheated like this. Samsung already replaced it twice before for the same issue. This time, after finding out online that this is a known problem with this model, my husband and I just replaced the part ourselves since it was way cheaper than going through an official repair call. No one was physically injured, but my infant and the rest of us were exposed to a house full of smoke before we could get out and air it out. The fact that the exact same part keeps failing, even after being replaced twice already, makes me think there’s something else going on with the stove causing it to keep happening, not just a one-time bad part.

I burned a finger while attempting to remove a pan and have some pans burnt from overheating at a low temp, what is not concerning is causing a fire if I keep using as is. Have troubleshooting done and its same that is why it has raised a concern and contacting home depot and manufacturer for help. My concern I bought stove range and it has been having some problems, one burner overheats even on low setting it turns on extremely hot, and one side main burner won’t turn on at all. There is no temperature control. Even when setting on low, it runs completely on very high. It does not cycle off and on. Its essentially unusable for me now I don’t feel safe using. If a anyone tries to use it, and sets the temperature for low or medium, and doesnt pay close attention, there’s a risk of starting a fire. Contacted store home depot, but was advised to contact manufacturer directly for assistance.

Regarding the stove issue, fortunately, no one has been hurt yet. However, the stove’s malfunctioning burners are causing concerns. The front burners are overheating, and the temperature cannot be adjusted or turned off properly. This has resulted in damaged property, including two pots and a few hundred in burnt food. The vent also continuously runs, sensing that the burners are still on. I’ve had to turn off the breaker to stop the vent, but it sometimes comes back on and runs throughout the night. This issue occurred just over a year ago, and it’s happening again.

The product, in the report: The product is a Samsung household electric range model NE59T4311SS. Manufacture date July 2020.
My infant son, who is 10 months old, pulled up on the exterior of our oven range from the bottom drawer while the inside of the oven was heated to 400 degrees F. I was standing right there so I saw it happen. He got a second degree burn, as diagnosed by our pediatrician, even though his skin never made contact with the inside of the oven or any contents such as a pan, and the warming drawer was set to off. The exterior of the product should not be able to burn people. He was wearing long sleeves when it happened but his wrist has a significant injury and scar. The product is a Samsung oven range model NE59T4311SS. I am now worried to use it again.

The product, in the report: 30” 6.3 cu. Ft. Smart Freestanding Electric Range with No-Preheat Air Fry, Convection+ & Griddle in Black Stainless Steel
BURNING FOOD & FIRE HAZARD
My first Samsung Electric Range was purchased on December 10, 2018, and on July 1, 2023, just under 5 years of ownership, my wife informed me, while I was ill and in the hospital ICU recovering from Pneumonia, that the stove top was turning itself on, and the heat on the right front burner would flare up to high even though it was set to a lower temperature while she was cooking. I decided to order a replacement range because it was out of warranty, and my wife worrying about the house burning down. She brought my laptop from home to the hospital and I ordered the replacement directly from Samsung on July 1, 2023 along with a 5-year extended warranty. I never could have imagined that this range would still suffer from the same problem. I called for repair of the right front burner flaring up 8-months ago, September 26, 2025, and right now, since last reported on May 26, 2026, we are still waiting, now 8-days, for the technician to come back with the parts to replace the same right front burner along with the left front burner which has the same issue. I researched [REDACTED] for the life expectancy of electric ranges and the result was that they typically should last 13 to 15 years. Samsung has to be aware of this problem and still manufacturing and selling these ranges for at the very least 8-years, with parts that have proven not to last anywhere near that long, and are still shipping repair parts to warranty repair centers that obviously have not been modified to correct this issue.

The product, in the report: 30” slide-in kitchen stove, stainless steel with black ceramic 4-burner cooktop, manufacture date July, 2014, electric
I purchased my kitchen stove, a Samsung NE58F9500SS, at a local Lowe’s. The control knobs are very sensitive to touch, and the burners can easily be turned on unintentionally. Because of that, I’ve always been very careful to make sure the knobs are turned completely off when not in use, or I sometimes take them off completely. Recently, I needed to use the oven. I store the broiler pan inside the oven, and I also had a small pan with cooking oil in it stored inside the oven. I took the two items out of the oven and placed them on the cooktop, which was cool. I turned on the oven and baked a dessert. When I was done, I checked that the knobs were all turned off. I then left to pick up a friend and we went out for lunch. Altogether, I was away from home for approximately two and a half hours. When I arrived back home, I parked in the garage, which enters into my kitchen. As soon as I walked in, I knew something was wrong because the kitchen felt very hot. I looked towards the stove and could see an orange glow coming from under the broiler pan, on the left rear burner of the stovetop. The pan of oil was on top of the broiler pan and was starting to smoke and was hot enough to cook with. I put on oven mitts and moved the broiler pan and oil off the hot burner. I could see several long, fine cracks in the cooktop, and a small area of the cooktop where the broiler pan was touching it is actually melted! I believe that if I had arrived home any later, I might have found my house in flames. I live in a rural area with only a small, volunteer fire company 10 miles away, response time is unpredictable. The possibility of losing my home was very upsetting. My husband built this house, and it’s been home for 42 years. I live alone now, and the only thing I can imagine might have happened was that one of my pets may have jumped up to investigate what was on the cooktop, and in doing so brushed against the knob enough to turn it on. I’ve decided to replace the stove and eliminate the risk of it happening again.

The product, in the report: Samsung range (Model NE63T8751SS/AA, Serial0HF77DCR700947Z)
In August 2025, a Samsung electric range (Model NE63T8751SS/AA) unintentionally activated after being lightly brushed during normal household use conditions. The burner turned on to a high setting with minimal contact and ignited items on and near the cooktop, causing a kitchen fire that burned for hours while the homeowner was away.
The product was being used as a normal household kitchen appliance in a residential home. The incident did not involve intentional burner activation or misuse of the appliance. Video evidence shows that the knobs on this model can engage with very slight, unintentional contact.
The fire caused extensive property damage, including permanent damage to the cooktop, surrounding smoke and heat damage, destruction of household items, and damage to personal electronics. A burn injury and laceration occurred while responding to and cleaning up after the fire. Pets in the home also required veterinary treatment related to the incident.
Samsung previously distributed knob locks for this range design in 2024 as a mitigation measure for accidental activation, indicating prior awareness of the hazard. However, the locks were ineffective and did not prevent unintended activation.
The homeowner believes this product presents an ongoing fire and burn hazard because the burners can activate unintentionally under foreseeable household conditions with minimal physical contact.

My Samsung stove and oven was included in a recall for the cooktop dials being, “too sensitive”, my dials after being turned off would randomly turn back on, this was something that now has become a constant whereby the dials come on by themselves and are constantly on and I am unable to turn them off. When I spoke to Samsung with regards to the recall, I confirmed what was happening and they said they would send me some kind of kit to remedy this. What they actually sent was some stick on dial covers that just cover them, it does nothing to rectify the problem and now I am constantly worried that a visiting child or a family member will burn themselves or something will accidentally catch light and cause a fire

I was using a Samsung double wall oven purchased in 2020. Today while it was preheating i heard a loud pop and saw electrical sparks coming from the control area. I opened the door to get a better look and noticed there was a fire going on around the controls. I had to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. There was no injury, but since this oven is built into a wall in going to be monitoring it to ensure it doesn’t start a full house fire.

I was using our oven when thankfully was down stairs next to it checking on our food when I heard a loud popping noise and flames came out of the back. A person came out from the company with no idea what he was doing and said it was from grease when there was no grease around the light or back of the oven. When it happened I immediately turned off the oven and the flames stopped. If it was a grease fire the oven would have kept burning because there was additional grease, also the inside where the grease originated from would have had fire too. There is multiple other reports of this same problem from people. Thankfully I was standing right there and no one was hurt. The model number is fe-r300sw/xaa

I used my oven for Easter dinner/lunch. Later on in the evening after everyone left and I cleaned up. I threw a pizza in and smelled a horrible burning plastic smell after the oven was around 200ish, I opened the door to see if some left over food may be burning and smoke rolled out of the oven. I shut it off. I let it cool down which took 2 hours to cool down from a max temp of 200/250 at this point. I took off the back metal cover of the oven and revealed back burning in 3 separate parts of the oven.

Samsung Range Model NE58F9500SS/AA , Serial Number J1967DCKA01668J . After experiencing accidental turn on by my wife and I, we contacted Samsung and received the first set of range knob covers. They easily fell off, so I put better two way adhesive on and it kept them in place. Unfortunately, the transparent covers come off easily and after repeatedly insert back on the hinge broke on two of the four. Another issue, is the inability to clean the knobs as work around is now adhered with two way tape. Last week, my one year old grandson turned on the one with broken cover. Fortunately, we were nearby. So our safe work around is to completely take off the work around and take off range knobs and store in near by drawer. We just ordered a second set of work around covers, but expect the same to keep re-occuring. Pls advise if we have any recourse to exchange defective range or get a major discount. [REDACTED]

On several occassions since we purchased the Samsung Slide - in - stove we had instances when the knobs were easily bumped while cooking and melted bowls unintentionally. The worst situation was in February 26, 2024 when we had a small kitchen fire. (Caught on video Samsung stovetop catching fire after the front knob was accidentally bumped on and a pizza box caught fire on My [REDACTED] camera) thank god we were home to put fire out. After that we ordered safety slides on our own. We still are not happy with the way these work. I just recently learned that I am not the only one having a problem with this stove and reviewed a recall with the knobs. I am not happy with the stove it is unsafe but I do not have $1100 to buy another stove to replace. Calling for manufacture safety covers per recall Monday 2/8/26.

The middle burner ring does not regulate temperature. I set it level 2 to simmer and after about 3 minutes it turns itself to high and never shuts itself off to regulate to a low temperature and just remains on high the remainder of the time it is powered on. I left a pot of soup unattended to simmer and came back downstairs from a blaring smoke alarm to a kitchen full of smoke and no liquid which is a potential fire hazard! The knob was set on level 2 the whole time yet the burner remained on high heat the entire time. I recreated the scenario and have video recordings as evidence of the malfunction.

My Samsung electric range experienced an uncommanded heating event. The appliance turned on by itself without any user input. The heating element energized and began heating while the oven was not in use. This created a fire-safety hazard.
UPDATED ON 1/27/2026: [I wanted to update you on what has happened. Now Samsung has said they are coming out after they told me they weren’t. I have already purchased a new range and it has been delivered and the old range has been taken away. I took the sticker off the range as they requested. It is unreasonable for Samsung to constantly make it so that I have to eat out every night in Hawaii. It’s expensive! I have therefore included all the texts that show how many representatives that contacted me and gave me the runaround, telephone tag, denials, etc. I gave them everything they originally wanted, receipts, pictures, everything and Samsung just delayed. I do not have storage capacity in my condo and when they told me they weren’t coming out i had the Home Depot haul it away. I did take the sticker off and have proof of delivery of the new and removal of the defective fire safety hazard range. ]

The product, in the report: This is a black front mounted knob oven range made by Samsung and is model NE58K9850WS has dimensions around 29 13/16” (W) x 36-37 1/8” (H, adjustable) x 26 5/16” (D) The front right burner randomly turns on with no interaction from users. To get it to turn off you have to wiggle the knob many times, and even then it will sporadically turn the burner back on. The only safe way to handle the unit is to unplug it between use.
The range is randomly turning the burner on high even when the knob is off and locked behind a cover.
This is repeatable and the range is in an unusable state because the burner can not reliably be turned off, even when it is in the completely off position

The product, in the report: Samsung slide in range/oven manufactured April 2025
This report concerns a Samsung electric range, model NE63A6111SS, used in a residential household with children. During normal oven operation, my child sustained a burn injury from contact with the exterior surface of the oven door area. This occurred during ordinary, foreseeable household use. Prior to this injury, I had already contacted Samsung to report that the exterior surfaces of the oven became excessively hot during normal operation and posed a burn risk to children. A Samsung-authorized technician inspected the unit and Samsung advised at that time that the appliance was operating normally. After the burn injury occurred, Samsung conducted another inspection and denied my claim, stating that infrared temperature measurements of the exterior surface (approximately 81109F) were within specifications. Samsung asserted that use of the factory-installed towel bar during operation constituted misuse because it allegedly obstructed a door vent that Samsung characterized as a hood. The user manual for this model does not define the oven door vent as a hood, does not prohibit hanging towels on the factory-installed towel bar during operation, and does not warn that towel use can block vents or cause exterior burn injuries. The manual also does not state that infrared temperature measurements are the controlling or sole determinant of consumer safety, nor does it disclose exterior surface temperature limits for incidental contact, particularly for children. In addition to Samsungs infrared readings, I independently measured exterior surface temperatures using a contact temperature probe, which recorded exterior surface temperatures of approximately 135F in the area involved in the burn. Despite prior notice to Samsung, the lack of specific warnings or disclosures in the user manual, and an actual child burn injury occurring during normal use, Samsung has denied the claim on the basis that the unit meets internal service specifications. I am submitting this report due to concern that the products exterior surfaces can reach temperatures capable of causing burns to children during ordinary, foreseeable use without adequate warning or disclosure to consumers.
UPDATED ON 1/27/2026: [Additional information: I have since learned that a neighbor who owns two homes with the same Samsung range model (NE63A6111) has experienced inconsistent exterior heating behavior. One identical unit located at a different residence does not exhibit excessive exterior heat, while the unit installed in her Maronda Homes residence exhibits excessive exterior surface temperatures similar to mine. She also submitted a warranty request, which was inspected by the same Samsung-authorized service center and technician, and she was likewise told the unit was “operating normally.” This suggests inconsistent exterior heating behavior among identical units.
After filing this report, Samsung contacted me and reaffirmed its denial. Samsung stated that children should be kept away from the entire appliance while any part is operating, but acknowledged that the user manual does not define “vents,” does not identify their location, and does not include diagrams or temperature thresholds for exterior surfaces. The samsung representative states children should not touch any part of the unit at any time regardless of which part of the range is hot (for example if the oven is on, are the knobs unsafe to touch?) and admits this information on what is/is not safe to touch and when is it safe or unsafe is not in the manual. Samsung relied on representative explanations rather than language contained in the consumer-facing manual.]
UPDATED ON 2/4/2026: [Additional update: After the initial report, the range began exhibiting intermittent cooktop malfunction. A burner that had been in use previously illuminated the “Cooktop On” indicator but did not heat as expected, and the “Hot Surface” indicator did not illuminate. Separately, additional temperature measurements taken on accessible exterior surfaces during normal operation showed highly localized exterior hot spots in excess of 180°, significantly higher than adjacent areas when surface emissivity was accounted for. Photographic documentation is available. A new service inspection has been requested to evaluate the cooktop malfunction.]

an issue that when you turn the burner down (in temperature) while operating (cooking) they have the propensity to kick on to the high position ! I have this on/at our home multiple video’s. (i.e. if you turn the burner which is cooking down to a significant lower temperature, and walk away for a few minutes or greater (i.e. left to simmer) the burner will switch to “high” and stay that way, until a fire is created or if caught in time, turned to the off position! Is this the same suit or another?

The product, in the report: Samsung oven with known design flaw.
Samsung stove has caused multiple small fires in my home. The knobs are known to be unsafe. They sent clips to stop them from rotating but this has caused the plastic behind the knobs to chip and break which allows food matter to fall into the front facade of the stove. The solution also requires diligence from customers who should not be required to perform extra steps in order to remedy a deadly design flaw. Most recently the knobs ruined Christmas dinner and caused a fire. This was a traumatic experience for my son and this could have been avoided if the manufacturer recall was sufficient.

The product, in the report: Freestanding electric range with convection. Stainless steel with glass top. Fire occurred when cooking inside the oven at 350 degrees after the stove had been in for approximately an hour.
On 11/16/25, while cooking with the oven set at 350 degrees, a fire spontaneously started in the area of the control panel of our Samsung electric range. The fire erupted out of the top of the stove, burned itself out and resulted in black smoke that smelled like an electrical fire. Samsung sent a technician to verify. I took photos of the fire origin and have bites from the technical inspection. The fire did not spread to the house and fortunately there were no injuries but we are reporting hopeful the CPSC will investigate and cause a correction before others have a similar fire. We paid for the range 11/8/2015 but did not take delivery until sometime in 2016 between 5/1 and 7/1.

The product, in the report: Samsung slide-in electric range
I am reporting a safety hazard involving a Samsung slide-in electric range that is part of the current CPSC-coordinated recall for accidental burner activation. The model is Samsung NE63T8311SS/AA, serial 0HEY7DCNC00702B.
After receiving the official recall remedy (the Samsung-provided front-knob lock kit), I installed the locks according to the instructions. Despite the remedy being installed correctly, the cooktop knobs can still be inadvertently rotated far enough to activate the burners. I have replicated this across three of the four burner controls. The burner activates even though the recall lock is fully installed and engaged, which means the original safety hazard still exists.
The stove was being used under normal household conditions. The issue occurs during normal movements near the front of the range, including accidental bumps or light contact with the knob area the same scenario described in the recall. No injuries have occurred yet, but the burners engage without deliberate intent, creating a risk of fire or burn injury.
I supplied Samsung with videos showing the burners activating with the recall locks installed. Samsungs response was that the internal knob mechanism already has a defect and that any repair would be considered out of warranty, despite this issue being directly related to the recall hazard. They declined to provide further remedy under the recall.
I am reporting this because the official recall remedy does not prevent accidental burner activation as intended, and the safety hazard remains present on this unit.

The product, in the report: Samsung electric range, knobs at the rear against the wall. 30-inch free standing range.
While cooking pancakes for breakfast, I was using the largest dual burner and was set to #4 of #10 (High). Burner is functioning normally, cycling on and off as it should. However, at some point during a second batch, that burner automatically turned to it’s highest setting 10 of 10 despite the knob being set to #4.
This happened a second time on 11/29/2025 while cooking on the same burner, but using the smaller of the dual burners. On this day, the burner was set about #1-2 to simmer food (New Orleans red beans). Without warning, the burner increased to 10/10 despite being on #1-2. I shut the burner off for several minutes and was able to restart cooking on the same burner.
The first incident the front two dual burners were being used. Only the front right had the problem. No injuries and the homeowner (me) was using the range.
*****NOTE***** I’ve had a previous issue with this Samsung electric range with the warming center activating or another button activating on the left side of the touch panel. This occurred when boiling wateron the left rear burner and the water vapor shorted the panel. I did contact Samsung for this problem and a service technician came out and swapped the panel out. A search online reveals others are having this same issue as there are [REDACTED] posts about this problem.

I received an email from Samsung about a recall on my Samsung range. I followed their instructions and ordered the knob locks and installed them on my range. I went out to the kitchen where i found a pizza box on the range on fire The knob locks were installed but the knob was still able to be accidently activated. I contacted Samsung through text and email. I sent them a video of the knob being able to be turned easily even with the lock installed. I have not used the range at all today as evident by the takeout pizza box being on the range. They told me that I would have to pay to have someone come out to fix it even though this issue is connected to an open recall.

The product, in the report: I have pictures, email thread with Samsung confirming a defective regulator & to keep the stove unplugged its unsafe. Samsung slide in range stove/oven
My Samsung electric range (Model NE63T8111SS) began turning on by itself without anyone touching the knobs or controls. This happened multiple times and created a fire hazard. In one incident, the stove turned on when no one realized, and a family member was burned when her arm touched the hot surface. The Samsung inspector who came to my home ([REDACTED]) confirmed that the issue was caused by a defective regulator. The stove is now unplugged because it is unsafe to use as they advised me to do. Samsung has not resolved the issue.
Samsung free standing electric range Model NE63T8111SS
The stove is used by me and members of my household. My relative was the one who got a burn mark.
The stove was being used normally- for cooking & everyday household use. The unsafe events occurred even when the stove was not in active use, because it would turn on by itself without anyone touching it.
Yes. A family member received a burn on her arm from the stove turning on by itself and heating up unexpectedly. No medical attention needed thankfully.
The stove activated on its own due to the defect. My relative leaned her arm on the cooktop while standing near it, not realizing it had turned on y itself and it was hot. She suffered a burn from the unexpected heat.

Samsung Oven and Stovetop range, Model #NE63A6511SS. The vent for the oven is located directly below the control board. When cooking in the oven, steam from the vent activates the buttons on the control board on its own. It will turn on the oven cleaning feature, the warming center and turn the oven off. It is progressively getting worse as this is happening every time we cook and new buttons are activated. This is incredibly dangerous and frustrating. Looking online, I do not seem to be the only one having this issue. I hope something can be done to require Samsung to provide a fix before someone gets hurt.

The product, in the report: He sent me a picture of the model and serial number (see attached). I don’t have a picture of the stove.
My elderly father must have accidentally bumped the front-facing dial on his Samsung stove, causing it to turn on and start a small fire. Luckily, he saw it start and was able to put it out without any major damage, but it could have easily burned his house down, or worse. I searched online, and this has happened ot others many times. I contacted Samsung, and they said there is no recall, but they offered to send him covers for his dials, which didn’t fit. I saw that there is a recall for [REDACTED] so I really think this is a design flaw that Samsung needs to address before more fires or injuries.

Purchased a new stove from Lowes last August, Samsung NE63A6511SS. The stove has multiple function problems, the most dangerous is the eyes turning on full without the ability to turn them off without disconnecting power. The fault appears to be in the design of the infinite switches. The units are fire hazards. In searching the internet there are numerous complaints, Lowes is aware and Samsung is aware, they are doing nothing about the problem. Samsung should be recalled and all switches replaced. I am logging this complaint to provide a record in the event my house does sustain a kitchen fire due to this stove.

The product, in the report: Samsung Model NE63BG8315SSAA Serial Number: 0KLA7DCW700934B
I purchased a Samsung slide in range with the knobs on the front. There was several incidents where the knobs would accidently be pushed in and turn on the top burners. I received a letter regarding a safety recall on the product, so I ordered the Safety knob locks. On June 1st, 2025, my pet was home alone and managed to push off the”safety locks” and turn on 3/4 burners. The burners turned on and caught fire to an item that was placed on top. Causing our counter tops, kitchen cabinets, over range microwave and an area on the kitchen floor to burn. Before this major incident occurred, there was also other situations where my toddler was able to take off these so called “Safety locks”. Not only could my pet have died, but my whole home could have caught on fire. Now I have my kitchen ruined after just renovating it and no funds left. I have reached out to Samsung several occasions and provide them with photos + info but they always state a customer care team will contact me in 24-48 hrs... It has been a week and still have not heard from anyone.

The product, in the report: Samsung range
I am contacting you regarding my Samsung slide-in electric range, model NE63T8511SS/AA, serial number 0HF17DCT900569X, which is covered under CPSC Recall No. [REDACTED] for accidental burner activation and fire hazard.
I previously installed the recall-provided safety knobs, which are defective and frequently detach during normal use. On August 12, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, this defect directly caused an unintentional burner activation that filled our home with smoke.
Incident Summary: The burner activated unintentionally due to the known design flaw. Smoke filled our home rapidly. My husband, our toddler, our 1-year-old, and I were forced to evacuate. I have video evidence showing my husband carrying our coughing toddler outside, stating that his lungs were burning, with visible smoke in the background. All four of us, including two young children, were exposed to smoke inhalation. We sought medical evaluation following the incident, and medical records documenting this are available. Our four cats and two dogs were also present and exposed to the smoke. Items on the stovetop, including an oven mitt and a pan, were burned during the incident. I have photographs of the burned items and still possess them as physical evidence.

The product, in the report: Samsung NE63A6311SS/AA oven
I purchased the Samsung NE63A6311SS oven from Home Depot on July 19, 2025. From the very beginning, I noticed that the outside of the oven became hotter than expected. Specifically, the oven handle reaches temperatures over 160F, which I believe violates U.S. safety standards.
According to safety regulations, touchable metal surfaces such as oven handles should not exceed 149F, regardless of whether the oven is on a regular bake setting or in self-clean mode.
Additionally, the metal area between the stove top and the oven handle has reached temperatures over 200F during use. I have had Samsung technicians inspect the oven multiple times. However, each time I call, Samsung representatives on the phone insist that the oven is functioning normally because I used the self-clean cycle.
This is unacceptable. U.S. safety standards exist to protect consumers, and those standards apply during all modes of operation, including self-cleaning. The fact that Samsung continues to disregard these safety limits is deeply concerning.
I have video evidence, which I sent to Samsung support, showing the oven handle reaching unsafe temperatures. Despite this, Samsung continues to make excuses and denies that there is a problem. Most ovens on the market do not come close to exceeding 149F on their handles, even during self-clean cycles. I simply want a safe oven in my homeone that wont pose a burn risk to me or my children during normal cooking activities.
Companies should not be allowed to violate established U.S. safety regulations. I am requesting that Samsung take immediate responsibility by offering a replacement or refund. If this issue remains unresolved, I will be filing formal complaints with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the retailer (Home Depot), and my states consumer protection office.

The product, in the report: Samsung electric range Oven 4 burners Silver Model: NE63A6111SS/AA Serial No.: 00017CBX601762V
I am a new homeowner. This electric range was installed as part of a new home package from [REDACTED] in June 2024. From the beginning, the Samsung electric range (Model NE63A6111SS/AA, Serial No. 00017CBX601762V) has presented serious safety hazards:
The unit has severe temperature control issues, including uneven and excessive heating of burners and oven functions. The most frightening incident occurred while cooking ground turkey. The food boiled violently and suddenly splashed upward, covering the stove and even hitting the range hood. I was extremely lucky to have turned my face just in time a fraction later and I might have suffered a severe facial burn or eye injury. It was a shocking and traumatic event.
Samsung sent three different technicians to inspect and repair the unit. None resolved the issue. The case was handled through their third-party partner portal (partner.sea.samsung.com), and communication was fragmented and ineffective.
Eventually, Samsung offered to replace the unit but only with the exact same model. I find this completely unacceptable. This particular model has already proven itself dangerous and defective. Offering a direct replacement without acknowledging or correcting the root cause of the hazard is irresponsible and puts other consumers at risk.
Im filing this report with the hope that the CPSC will:
Investigate this model for design or manufacturing defects,
Identify patterns of similar complaints,
And push Samsung toward accountability and safer alternatives.
I am afraid to use this appliance in my own home. Please consider this a formal request to examine the products safety risks for overheating, splattering, and fire hazards.

The product, in the report: Stainless steel electric stove.
The stove I purchased about 4 years ago has a defect. The paint has come off of most of the numbers on the heat settings around the knobs at the back of the stove. I cannot see the heat settings numbers have been completed rubbed off either from heat or cleaning the stove with a mild cleaner. This is a heat appliance and should withstand high temperatures and cleaning.

The product, in the report: Fuel Type: Electric. Style: Freestanding. Color: Stainless Steel. Cooktop: Smoothtop with 5 radiant elements, including a triple burner and a warming center. Oven: 5.9 cu. ft. capacity with true convection, self-cleaning, and a storage drawer. Other Features: Digital temperature display, timer, delay bake, proof mode, and Sabbath mode. Dimensions: 29 7/8” (W) x 47 3/32” (H) x 25 31/32” (D). Electrical: 40 amps, 240 volts.
On June 8th, 2025 at approximately 1:20PM EST, I had set my oven’s temperature to 350 degrees, in order to bake some oatmeal cookies. I had placed the cookies onto the wire shelf, and turned away from the oven when I heard a loud electrical buzzing sound. I turned back to the stove, and saw fire actively shooting out of the control panel. I quickly pulled the range back from the wall and disconnected it from the power, thankfully saving my home. Nobody was injured.

The product, in the report: Samsung Flex Duo Oven, Black Stainless, Model # NE59J7850WG/AA
My Samsung Duo oven’s broiler randomly comes on during the baking process and instantly goes to bright orange. It burns whatever is in the oven filling my house with smoke. No error code is visible but I have it on video showing this problem. This has been happening since November 2024. It just happened again on 06-17-2025. Samsung has sent tech several times but they can’t duplicate the problem so not fixed. I was told me to get it on video and they would fix the problem. Now they tell me that there is no problem and not to bake in that oven.

The product, in the report: Samsung Free Standing Electric Range
Our Samsung electric range is malfunctioning in a way that creates fire hazards. When the oven is being used to bake, the broiler will automatically turn on and the temperature will greatly exceed the registered temperature. This has been reported by numerous other Samsung owners with varying models, but there does not seem to be any response other than instructions on how to request a paid service call. Again, this issue creates a significant fire hazard, not to mention frustration and ruined food.
