The product, in the report: Frigidaire gallery Oven FGGF3059TFE Model FGGF3059TFE
The first time was in February. The CO detectors went off at 8pm, 3 hours after cooking. The fire dept determined it was the stove and the gas company red tagged for it spewing over 400PPM. We found a local repairman who came and told us to clean it. The gas company returned and re-tagged as it still gave off unsafe levels. We called Frigidaire back and they finally sent a technician who immediately recognized the oven as occasionally having a faulty safety valve. He replaced it the next day. Last week, 7 hours after cooking, our CO detectors went off at 3Am. The fire dept came and again stated it was the oven. Frigidaire is being unresponsive and insensitive to the situation.

The product, in the report: The glass to the range is falling off due to the handle and screws are too short. This is a huge risk to families as small children will get hurt due to the issue.
The Electrolux Range has a faulty handle that has the glass fall off and can kill a child. We have attempted several times to have the parts replaced and or serviced due to the negligence of Electrolux. The issue is that the screws are not long enough, therefore, the handles come off and the glass falls down. We have 42 ranges in an affordable housing community which risks children with injuries. The product, in the report: Frigidaire Professional Range
One burner on the range turned to a high temperature when a low temperature was selected, then would not turn off when off was selected. Would only turn off when I cut power to the range by turning off the breaker. When I turn the power back on at the breaker the burner turns back on high on its own.

The product, in the report: Frigidare Range stainless steel Model PLEF398CCC
This has happened several times, I couldn’t figure out what it going on. I was cooking dinner on front right burner of my Frigidaire Range PLEF398CCC. Walked away after turning stove off. Came back to kitchen after smelling smoke. Burner was still on HI, frying pan was completely burned. I could only shut it off at the breaker box. Next day I flipped breaker, burner came back on HI! Turned breaker off went to work. When I came back, I turned breaker on again, this time burner stayed off. I called to have it repaired. Contractor looked up model and serial number, couldn’t find parts, told me of this recall. This is obviously a fire hazard, stove could have burned my house down. We were lucky.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Single Wall Convection Oven, Model No. FPEW3085KFB, Serial No. NF04737264. MOdel FPEW3085KFB
On Thursday, February 4, 2021, I was using my Frigidaire Single Wall Convection Oven (Model No. FPEW3085KFB; Serial No. NF04737264) with the temperature set at 200 degrees convection setting. I originally purchased that product in 2011. I had it set at to 200 degrees to warm up some bread. After some time, I began to smell smoke and smoke began to fill our kitchen. When I opened the oven door to check inside, the temperature was super hot and there was smoke all over. I took out the pan on which I had placed the bread and threw it outside. We then tried to turn the oven off. Unfortunately, while the visible display for the oven seemed to indicate that the oven was off, it would not go off and after some time we became concerned about the risk of a fire. I then called an electrician who advised me on how to turn off the breaker at the fuse box that controlled the oven.

No one hurt Made Jan 25, 2021, sent to the company Mar 10, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 24, 2021
The product, in the report: slide-in range
(10/2?/2020) The consumer stated that she heard a pop. She looked up and saw sparks and smoke coming from one of the Frigidaire electric range’s control knobs. She ran over to the range and noticed that one of the burners was fully on and attempted to turn it off, but was unsuccessful. Hence, she initiafly panicked, and then ran to the circuit breaker box and flipped the electrical switch that is mapped to the range, which completely powered off the range.
At the time of this fire hazard incident, the consumer was not aware of the “Voluntary Recall Alert “ for thr Frigidaire 30” electric smoothtop slide-in ranqe that was installed in the condo, which she had purchased in February 2020. The comumer contacted Frigidaire (10/13/2020), who acknowledged that the model was included in a recall. The consumer stated that there were rubber gaskets applied to each of the control knobs, which was the repair for this Frigidaire electric range recall done by the previous owner. However, these rubber gaskets (i.e., the Frigidaire repair kit) did not prevent the fire hazardous incident that occurred in her condo on 10/22/2020. If she was not home or was asleep that day when this fire hazardous incident occurred, most likely i t would have erupted into a fire resulting in property damages and perhaps personal injuries or even death.
Frigidaire offered the consumer a 40% discount to replace the range with a new one, but it hod to be a Frigidaire model. However, the new Frigidaire model #[REDACTED] (with the same configuration as the Frigidaire electric range recall model #PLES399EC) was not available in Hawaii; hence, the consumer was not able to use the 40% discount offered by Frigidaire. Please note again that the repair kit provided by Frigidaire did not work.
The consumer no longer has the “recalled” Frigidaire electric range

Hurt, no treatment Made Jan 11, 2021, sent to the company Jan 28, 2021, published by CPSC Feb 11, 2021
The product, in the report: Purchased 10/14/2020 Frigidaire stove Model GCRI3058AFB
The convection roast feature on my Frigidaire stove Purchased 10/14/2020 Model GCRI3058AFB smokes up the house and splatters grease from the roast all over the inside of the oven. It burns my eyes and requires opening all the windows. The oven is not dirty except after using the convection roast. According to their call center technician the fan is too strong to be used safely. I fear it will cause a fire without having the fan adjusted to a safe level. The technician suggested I put aluminum foil around the roast to block the air flow (which defeats the convection feature) and the call center tech sent me information on how to jury rig the oven using 6 layers of foil and parchment paper underneath the roast. The oven is a fire hazard waiting to happen. It does not work safely when following the owner’s manual directions or their own on-line video. I have tried using the convection roast 4 times all with the same results. People on the internet have reported similar problems. I have provided photographs documenting everything and NO ONE has told me I have done something wrong. The feature is being used so far cooking chicken in a pan that looks like the one on the Frigidaire [REDACTED] video and so far my injuries are limited to burning eyes and breathing. I fear trying to cook a turkey will result in a fire.

The product, in the report: cook top
(10/01/2020) The consumer has a safety concern about the knobs on the cook top. She stated that the knobs on the cook top are easily broken and she is now on the third replacement set.
The product is located in the consumer’s mother’s apartment which is the same address as the consumer. When the consumer went into the apartment, she smelled gas. The gas was seeping from the broken knobs but her mother never smelled the gas. The consumer tried to turn the stove off but the knobs just continued to go around. The gas had to be shut off.
The consumer contacted the firm and was advised that the problem was operator’s error.

I was standing close, entire family was in kitchen.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire stove Model PLES399ECD heating element overheating problems with stove off
Frigidaire stove heating element overheating problems with stove off, When we bought our house I purchased all new Frigidaire appliances. The stove started turning itself on and off by itself. One burner gets red hot. There are hundreds of complaints that these stoves do this. Frigidaire just sells you expensive Chinese crap replacement boards. The Frigidaire dryer was also junk with main board failures and expensive replacement parts. There is some very bad engineering on their stoves. Something that can reach 1,000 degrees on the stove top (flat glass ((ceramic?)) top needs to have switches that are at the beginning or the end of a circuit so when you switch the burner to “off” the electricity is shut off to the entire control board for that element. In this case shutting the element to off only suggests to the board that it should turn off the element. This is a bad design. If one of the IC chips has issues it is capable of turning the elements off and on even if the main control is set to off. Bad manufacturing and engineering somewhere to cut costs. I worked in the electronics field all my adult life with a degree in electronics. There is no reason a stove engineered like this should be on the American market. The pan of water was just placed there for a short time. I turned the dial to high in the middle of this video to show that the switch was still functional. I did not want to have the dammed thing heat up so hot that it might break the top glass or melt something inside the stove. see video [REDACTED]

The product, in the report: Stainless steel. 30 inches wide. 5 burners.
we purchased a new Frigidaire Range/Oven Model #FGGH3074VFB. Serial no. VF03099139 from Abt Electronics. It was delivered and installed the same day it was delivered. Using the burners was no smell and no problem. Using the oven however produced a strong smell of natural gas. A repair guy came out and found a gas connection inside the oven not even finger tight. He said it was basically spewing gas all over inside the oven. I contacted Frigidaire and reported it as unsafe.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Range model LFEF 3054TFC
The oven had been turned off after use when the oven glass both inner and outer shattered sending shards of glass across the kitchen. This is Frigidaire model LFEF3054TFC, serial VF73110540. I have used this range for three years without incident. I called the[REDACTED] fire department as I thought it was an electrical explosion. The firemen determined it had to be a flaw in the glass.
Frigidaire’s response was that I would have to call a repairman and pay for the call. After he looked at it, I could get a new door at 20 percent discount. They gave me the runaround from the first consumer rep, to the recall department, and finally the complaint department whose response was the same as the consumer rep. No one cared about the safety aspect.

The glass is difficult to clean up as I am pregnant, making the oven unusable and my kitchen a minefield.

I started filming it on my phone because I thought I was crazy. Now it comes on all by itself. I got on the recall list and saw there was problems. This is a safety issue that needs to be taken care of. Can you please help me? Last Sunday I came downstairs and the front burner was on high. Fire red. I have grandchildren, I need an over to cook. We have not eaten out since March. I need a safe stove top. I just need the parts and fixed. I called the company and told them what happened. The repair people said they know what it is just like the recalled models. But they will not help me. This is so unsafe. Two Sundays ago it came on by itself and I came downstairs the burner was fire red. I can not leave anything on the stove or it will trigger the burner to come on. The product, in the report: Frigidaire Smoothtop Range Black w/Stainless Steel Model: PLEFM399DCB Serial: VF44842963
I purchased a Frigidaire Smoothtop Electric Range Serial #VF44842963 in 2005. The control panel would display a blinking error message and beep. I called & found out there was a recall. We had the unit looked at twice over the next year. Both times I was assured that there was NOT a recall & my store was fine. I figured I just purchased a lemon model and continued to use it. I would jiggle the control knob until the beeping, blinking error message would stop. That was until the control panel shorted out. I turned on the stove. A buzzing sound came from behind the panel then blue smoke spewed from it. I shut off the breaker to the stove and called a repair man. The main panel was fried. I am angry because I was told that my unit was NOT on a recall not once but twice. I am being charged $425 to replace the control board which should’ve been replaced from the start. I would like someone to contact me about reimbursement. Sincerely, [REDACTED]

Stove, Oven range.
The oven range just out of no where made a boom sound and the glass shattered. I called the manufacture of the stove and explain that their product almost killed someone. All they wanted me to do was to call a service provider to take a look at the product and replace the part.
There was no accountability taken please for their product. I then started researching and realized they have many complaints like this. Why are such products still on the product. Does someone need to die for them to take this incident seriously.
During this Covid time when everyone has to stay home. They just don’t care. I am sad that so many big companies don’t care what they release to the public.
Please assist and help if you can.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Slide in range Model FPGS3085PFA
I have a slide in range for my island. It is a Frigidaire. I have contacted Electrolux (who owns Frigidaire) several times as well as the Better Business Bureau. We are playing phone tag. I have requested communication via email because both my husband and myself have full time jobs. They will not give any info in their emails except that they have called. Here is the problem. The oven is defective and unsafe. It was working fine until I used the self clean mode, thats when all the problems started. I was preparing Thanksgiving dinner and we went to remove the middle grate and it was stuck. We had a hard time getting it out. Then we noticed the middle AND bottom grates were just balancing on the ridges. Apparently the oven expanded or the grates shrunk. You can not use either grate because they do not fit properly and when we put the Turkey on it the whole grate collapsed and the gravy went everywhere. I have a video of it. This oven is unsafe.

The consumer turned on the range burners (not sure which ones or 2 of the five burners) and she turned on the oven (400 degrees,.for approximately 1 hour. This was the very first time that the consumer used the oven since she moved into the home. She had only been in the home for 1 month,

She observed fire department measured CO blood levels were at 13%. . The CO level in the basement was 266 on her personal CO monitor when she found it!
The next day the consumer went to the hospital and had oxygen therapy and was released the same day, but she still had CO in her blood.
Prior to this incident, the consumer noticed that there was a delay to the ignition on the range burners. She tried different settings, but the problem was still present. The consumer’s husband also used the range and oven a few times in the past and he experienced the same delayed ignition problems. When she used the oven on the night of the leak, she smell gas strongly + it made eyes water before stove igniter. Also noticed her dish took longer to cook than it should have.
The consumer called the manufacturer, Tel: (888) 360-8556, because her problem was similar to what is listed in [REDACTED]. The firm’s rep. told her that the product was not included in the recall. Nothing else transpired.
The consumer asked the landlord to repair the range or replace it, but she has not been willing to do either.

My wife was in the kitchen, loading the dishwasher when the stove emitted a very loud, long beep. Then the left front surface unit turned itself on, to the high setting. She tried turning the knob on, hoping that she could get the unit to turn off, but it would not turn off. She went to our circuit box and turned off the breaker.
When I got home she told me what happened so I turned the breaker back on and everything seemed fine. I found this Recall notice and have turned the breaker back off, until we can figure out what to do.

The product, in the report: Kitchen range with oven
The range was included in CPSC Recall# 09-333 and has been serviced for this issue in accordance with the recall. The consumer estimates that it has been serviced at least 3 times over the years.
The consumer has experienced all 3 problems stated in the recall: All 4 of the burners have jumped to a higher temperature unexpectedly. Different burners have turned on unexpectedly. Some of the burners could not be turned off and the consumer had to either unplug the range or trip the breaker The consumer has contacted the manufacturer each time and they sent the replacement parts out to her (usually overnight) and scheduled a technician to service the range. Every time the repair was the done, the problem returned. The length of time that it took the problem to return varied.
Approximately 3 of her pots have been burned to the point that she discarded them. The manufacturer did not compensate her for the damage. No one has been injured.
The consumer has never had a problem with the oven. However, she has never used the self-cleaning feature, because of some concerns that she has read about.
10/2019: The consumer called the manufacturer, but the rep. (name unknown) told her they were not doing any further repairs on her range. Nothing else transpired.
Currently, the range is unplugged and the consumer refuses to use it in light of her safety concerns.

The product, in the report: Oven Range
The consumer indicates that her son-in-law woke up in the middle of the night because he heard a loud noise but decided to go back to sleep as h did not hear it again. The next morning, the consumer’s son-in-law went to the kitchen and noticed that there was glass all over his floor as the oven range’s glass door had exploded; this is when he realized this was the noise from the night. He noticed his linoleum floor also had cut marks; he proceeded to sweep the floor.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative she spoke with scheduled for a Service Technician to inspect the unit on ~10/09/2019. The Service Technician inspected the unit and said the glass door had to be replaced. Glass pieces were still stuck to the oven door and fell, and although the consumer swept and vacuumed the floor after the inspection, pieces of glass must have been left because her grandson received three small lacerations on his left foot.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer again and was told that they would only replace the glass door; said glass door was replaced on 10/17/2019.
The consumer states that the oven is used approximately three to four times weekly whereas the cooktop is used six to eight times per week.
The consumer plans on keeping her oven range for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

My Frigidaire stainless oven had been set to preheat . I heard a noise and looked and flames were coming up the oven wall and I could smell something burning which ended up being the back electrical panel . Now the oven doesn’t work . I tried replacing two interior parts (cooking element and thermostat) which didn’t fix the problem . I’m assuming the electrical wires in the back panel was damaged. The inside of the oven was clean and no food was inside so it’s definitely a manufacturer defect.

The main large (bottom right) burner intermittently stays on after turning the control knob off (seems to happen after the unit heats up). The product, in the report: Oven Range
The consumer indicates that the front and left burner of his oven range will come on by itself even when all burner knobs are turned off. The consumer states that no matter what he does, the burner will not shut off so he has to switch the breaker. As soon as the consumer turns the breaker on when he wants to use the unit, the same burner will become cherry-red hot in the off-position.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; the representative he spoke to informed him that because his unit is not recalled and is after the warranty expiration date, they could not assist him free of charge.
The consumer states that the cooktop is used four to five times per week whereas the oven is used approximately once yearly.
The consumer plans on keeping his oven range for at least the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: frigidaire oven range was in new house when i purchased the home from DR HORTON you have several hundred incidents of these units
my complaint has to do with frigidaire MODEL #FFEF3048LSM serial no.VF64602675 oven range. as you can see this serial no. falls between your listed nos. of VF122 to VF831 on the recall list. i called on 03/18/2019 and was helped by a man named [REDACTED]. he explained that he did not have a model no., so i gave him my no. and he told me that it was not listed. i have some experience with recalls and believe that the recall should be bas on the manufacturing design, not a model no. this product is extremely dangerous and does not regulate heat properly, as well as not shutting down when the indicator is turned to “off”. i am surprised that they are still selling these relics at this time, after the recall started in 2009.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire oven/range
On Sunday evening, December 16, 2018, our Frigidaire oven had been on at a 425 degree setting for 30 minutes (including the pre-heat time). My wife was baking salmon and asparagus for our dinner with our daughter that evening. Suddenly, my wife and I heard a crashing noise, and found that the glass door in the oven had shattered. Being safety glass, it crinkled rather than explode. There were plenty of shards everywhere. The next day we called Sherman’s Appliance store in [REDACTED], since that’s where [REDACTED], our builder, had purchased the appliance. We moved into the home August 28, 2018, so expected the item would be covered under the one year warranty.

Last night (09-27-2018) a horrible burning smell came out of the cooktop. When I looked in the cabinet below, we could see FLAMES in the metal box under the control knobs. I used a kitchen fire extinguisher to put out the fire. We turned all the knobs to “off,” but one element remained on - even though all the knobs were in the off position. I cut the power at the breaker box. When I flipped the breaker back to “on,” the same element came on, even though all the knobs were still in the off position.
This cooktop is a fire hazard and should be recalled. Had no one been home, there would have been a serious fire.
This is an ongoing issue with Frigidaire. They had to recall cooktops in 2009 and 2010 for this exact problem -- burners turning themselves on and starting fires- yet this model was not recalled. This is a life safety issue.

After about 8 years of use my oven racks no longer stay in place and fall down. I am very concerned me, my husband or my child may be burned by hot food, as we cannot afford to buy another new oven for this reason. I contacted Frigidaire customer service who is not taking any responsibility, but stated in the response that the oven cavity could have expanded. The want ME to purchase new racks they offer with no guarantee they will work. There are several track positions and the distance at the top is smaller than that at the bottom, so again, they rack they want me to buy may work on one rung, but not another? I think this oven should be recalled and a new one provided before someone is seriously burned. Please check into any history this company is ignoring as I find it hard to believe I am the only person having this problem.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch double wall oven, stainless steel model number fget3065pfb
I recently purchased a wall oven from Lowes. It is a Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch double oven the model number is af34602645. Lowes did not disclose the oven was an older model not the current one.
Three times now when I have had heavy items, once a turkey and twice a stew, the oven racks have fallen out when I pulled out the racks just a little bit. This causes the contents of the oven to fall out of the oven spilling hot liquids. The first time I had a small burn the next times I was more prepared.
This is a danger. When I google the problem others have the same problem.
I purchased the oven about 1 1/2 years ago. The incident below represents the latest one.
When I called Frigidaire they do have replacement racks they indicated that if I send in my proof of purchase they will send me new ones. It would appear that they are aware of the problem but according to them no recall has been made. It is amazing that I will have to pay to have a known safety problem fixed because the oven is over a year old. To me this is unbelievable that a danger is allowed to persist.
I hope that no one has a serious injury as a result. If a small child had been near by my outcome could have been different.

The product, in the report: The racks no longer are able to remain in the oven slots that are suppose to hold them in place, it seems that the oven walls have expanded outward because there is a noticeable spacing from the racks to the allotted oven slits.
We purchased a Frigidaire stove/oven approximately 6 years ago. It worked great until a month ago. The MOD: FGES3065KFD & SER: NF11320516. My problem is that the walls inside of the oven has expanded creating a spacing that no longer will hold the oven racks in place, there is quite a bit of spacing now so the racks will fall on the others.

We were in a room outside the kitchen and could smell smoke. We walked into the kitchen and the paper towels on the stove were on fire. We had not used the stove that day, however the front heating element spontaneously turned on, despite no one turning the knob on. Also, sometime you can’t get the element to turn-off despite turning the knob to “off”. This is a serious fire hazard, had we been sleeping or away I’m sure the wood cabinet above the stove would have caught fire and burned the house down.

My [REDACTED] guest was cooking this morning & the range top burner on the front left side would not turn off. He had to turn it off at the breaker. As soon as I got home, I flipped the breaker & the burner immediately came back on. I tried several exercises to get it to turn off and nothing worked & it was stuck on high. I unplugged the oven as I need to use other electricity in the kitchen, but now I can’t cook. Thank God this did not happen next week @ Christmas when my granddaughters will be here. Also, it goes on without notice and if that had happened in the middle of the night while sleeping w anything near the burner it could have been disastrous.

On 09/27/17 my Frigidaire oven door exploded sending glass throughout the kitchen, giving me two minor cuts. This is the second time this has happened. The first was on 06/19/17. Frigidaire replaced the door and it was installed by Jensen Appliance on 07/21/17. When I called Frigidaire on 09/28/17 they told me there was nothing they could do, and suggested it was my fault. I called KGMH (channel7) and they did a news report/video the evening of 09/28. Today the parent company, Electrolux, called to schedule a repairman to come determine if the explosion was a result of “a malfunction or misuse” They maintain the temepered glass meets all governmental standards. However, it shouldn’t be shooting out of the oven explosively. It appears to me that the glass is glued in 2 places to the frame. A screw goes through the glass from the back, and then into the handle. If the screw becomes loose, pulling on the handle releases the glass. These explosions are not news to Electrolux. My concern is that if two glass shards drew blood on me, what if they went into a child’s eye, or a nearby pet?

They checked the stove top and confirmed high level of CO being produced by range. I contacted a repairman who checked for gas leaks and burners which he did not find. Burners displayed a blue clean burn. I contact Frigidaire tech support which was no help whatsoever. It could be a serious issue being ignored. I have several videos I would like to forward with CO meter borrowed from local Fire Dept which show the issue. It occurs when a pot is placed on the quick boil burner. CO meter show it emitting over 200ppm. I’m sure this is going unnoticed by many consumers.

Over the weekend my range, Frigidare Gallery malfunctioned and caught on fire at 1am. The smoke activated the smoke detectors and I found the two of the stove top burners on. When I turned them off, they turned on again. The top of the stove was starting to burn inside the panel as if there was a short. I was able to turn off power to the range and there was minimal damage. I reviewed your site and leaned that this range was recalled un recall number [REDACTED].
When I contacted Frigidare, they advised that the model number of my range was not part of the recall. I advised them that the recall listed serial numbers and my range matched the serial numbers on the recall and had the same problem.
I’ve gotten nowhere we them and have tried three departments only to be sent to another person.
Can you advise me if this range is part of the recall. If it’s not it should be since it has the same defect and could have burned the house down

The product, in the report: White Frigidaire Stove/Oven
We purchased a new home and there was a new stove/oven range that had recently been installed in the home. We could tell it was brand new because it still had the stickers attached and the manual was placed next to it. Within a day or two of living in the home we had several close calls where my 16-month-old son was able to turn the stove on and could place his hand right into the front flame. We were able to stop him before he could get hurt but the stove height is incredibly low. We NEVER had this problem in our previous home. There is no resistance in the knobs to turn on the stove. I understand that child-proofing is necessary to completely protect children from turning on a stove but what if a person doesn’t have children and you go to visit their home? It’s scary how quickly my son was able to turn on this stove and put his hand right into where the flame was. We have removed the knobs from the stove. I think this product is completely unsafe. The oven door doesn’t close all the way and you can easily slide Adult fingers between the frame of the oven and the door. I can’t believe this is on the market. I’m thankful my son was not hurt but I can’t wait until someone was hurt before I shared my concerns. There needs to be more resistance to the mechanism that turns the stove on. Also, the oven door should close all the way. This product is so unsafe it scares me.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire smooth (ceramic glass) top range. Free standing, bisque.
I have owned the Frigidaire smooth top Model FFEF3018LQB since 11/6/2010. Last night I turned the oven to 350 to preheat and went downstairs to the laundry room. Within minutes I heard a loud popping noise,. I ran back upstairs to find the control panel shooting flames up the wall behind the stove. Luckily my husband was in the basement and able to shut the circuit breaker down immediately. I am very lucky that my husband was home at the time as who knows how much more damage there would have been had I had to run downstairs and cut the circuit breaker. As it is there is smoke damage to the wall and the burnt plastic smell doesn’t want to leave my house. I do not see a recall on this model. I did call the number given on the 2009 recall of another model as it showed that they were there until 9:00 P.M. The company recording states they are open 9-5 Monday through Friday. I will call on Monday. However, judging from the responses other people on this cite have gotten from Frigidaire I don’t hold out any hope that it will do any good.

The product, in the report: Glass top stove
The stove continually turns on and off by itself. There are other times that the stove will NOT turn off when in current use. Additionally the breaker has blown requiring an electrician for repair. Now we are dealing with a glass top that has shattered due to excessive heat. I have had two repairmen out paid by me out of pocket! I have since been notified that “some” of the parts are covered under the recall. It so happens that the $350 glass top as well as $100-150 in serviceman to install IS NOT COVERED! This has been a continual headache for the past six months! I feel this has not been handled professionally or in the best interest of the client. God forbid if this stove catches on fire!!!!!!!

The product, in the report: Frigidaire smooth top slide in range.
On or about March 16, 2017 I entered my kitchen to find the Right front eye of my Frigidaire smooth Surface Range Model No. FGES3065KFB Serial No NF00921880 on high temperature and the controls were off. After several attempts to contact Frigidaire Support Center I was told my range was not on the recall list and I would be responsible for repairs. Since, it was out of warranty. ( Purchased May, 2010. However, should I suffer damages to my home I could file a claim. I told the representative that it was a design error. That nothing should fail in the on position. Also I had more than thirty years experience in the chemical and explosives industry and we designed equipment to fail in a safe position.

The product, in the report: Range
Caller stated that the burners of his range came on by itself, overheated and shattered the glass he was not able to use the control panel to turn it off, he had to use the circuit breaker to switch it off. Caller feels that he experienced similar problems of recall#09-333. Hazard: Depending on the model, the surface heating elements can: 1) turn on spontaneously without being switched on; 2) fail to turn off after being switched off; or, 3) heat to different temperatures than selected. This poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers.
The manufacturer was contacted and they informed him that his range was not included in a recall, he feels that this range could have caused a house fire and that the company should assist in resolving this issue.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Smooth Top Stove. Model # PLF398CC D. Serial # VF42113569
Stove top right front burner will not shut off. Items near stove had gotten very hot. Had we not noticed, there would have been a fire. We went on line to find the problem and fix it ourselves. We bought a switch from Sears Parts Direct. The switch came and it was the wrong one. The switch came and it was not the right one. Sears Parts direct will not allow us to return this 96.95 part that is the wrong part in the beginning. Then we went on the Sears Parts Direct to complain and get help. A window popped up on the screen and asked if we needed help. We replied to a person by the name of [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] told us to buy a 180.88 burner. We received the burner but found that it did not fix the problem. They refuse to take the burner back. OK, now we are out 277.83 and have a stove that is a fire hazard. We went on line one more time to check for recalls. We have found that their IS a recall on this product for this exact fire hazard issue. We are very upset that [REDACTED] did not tell us about the recall from the United Sates Consumer Product Safety Commission. This Commission stated that because of the recall, Sears is required to send a repair person to our home and fix the issue for FREE. We will be contacting SEARS again and request that the stove be repaired free of charge and request the return of our 277.83 that is owned to us because they failed to send the correct part, and failed to tell us about the recall.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire oven/stovetop
12/12/16 we completed cooking dinner and turned everything off on the stove/oven. Awhile after dinner, we noticed the hot surface light illuminated but weren’t overly concerned since everything was “turned off”.
The next morning we awoke to find the the surface light still illuminated and the left rear burner hot. Again, all the burner knobs were in the off position. We are beyond fortunate that the house didn’t burn down around us while we slept. The only way shutoff the burner was to use the breaker switch at the home electrical box.
I originally reported this same issue back in May ‘14 after having the stove repaired. I don’t know what it will take to force the manufacturer to resolve this issue once and for all. Catastrophic loss of life and property?
A google search reveals I am not alone with this safety issue and my stove. Please help!!

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Cooktop
Sporadically, one of the burners does not turn off and seems to get stuck at high heat. The only way i have been able to turn it off if from the breaker. This same burner also sporadically goes on maximum heat although it is set in medium or lower.
I just replaced the switch with a part recommended from the manufacturer and it also does not gradually heat the burner as it is supposed to. The heat is either very low or maximum heat.
This is certainly a fire hazard. I have had two cooking pots destroyed when the heat was set to low sim because the heat switched to maximum.

Our Frigidaire range has an issue with 1) burner not turning off when knob is turned to off, 2) burner sticks on high regardless of where knob is turned. We learned there was a recall on Frigidaire ranges, but our model number is not included in the recall. We have the exact problem the recalled models have. It is extremely frustrating that Frigidaire refuses to take action. We are unable to continue to use the range due to the fire hazard, and will have the financial burden of purchasing a new one. Hello- I bought my Frigidaire freestanding range in the early fall of 2007. The model number is PLEFMZ99ECK and the serial number is VF70531340. According to the website my stove has been recalled. I was NOT notified of this recall and I filled out all warranty paperwork for recalls when I bought it. I was cooking dinner in the oven earlier and went to play with my 2 year old twins when I noticed smoke in the kitchen. I went to check it out and the burner came on without me turning the dial. The burner would not turn off until I unplugged the stove. This product put myself and children in danger of much worse than a smoky house that caused us to go outside for and hour. I want my product fixed or replaced ASAP! We have 5 young children and the stove is a necessity for us everyday!

My husband was cooking a pot pie in the oven. It was done, he took it out and turned it off. He then noticed fire from behind the oven control panel. He was able to blow it out. He then moved the oven away from the wall and inspected for damage. There doesn’t appear to have any damage on the walls or cabinets. He then unplugged the unit and took off the back metal cover plate. He saw the electronic oven control was charred and melted in places. There are wires and wire harnesses that are also charred and melted. There was a foul stench from the destroyed plastic and wiring.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire stove/range top
My Frigidaire stove/range the burner has come on by it self and if turned on it will not go off when turned off. This is the 2nd time. This last time it came on by itself and we had to unplug the whole stove in order to get it turned off. They told me even though they have already sent someone out to replace the recall parts and fix it and it continued to dot the same thing they can still only fix the recall not replace my stove. We have been fortunate enough that this has not caused a major lost such as our home or life’s. However this last time my elderly mother is the one who woke up and found it on this could have been a tragedy. I hope that it not what it takes for this company to change their so called policy. I understand there is recalls but if you have fixed the so called recall and it continues the apparently that’s not the problem. If you can’t fix the problem then replace it with a new item.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire flat top stove.
Two left burners on flat top stove turned on without being used on two separate occasions. Would not turn off or change heat (were glowing red non-stop as if on high). Knobs were in off position at time of malfunction. Only remedy was to shut power off at the circuit breaker. When flipped back on, the digital setting read “ER” as if error, and after 5 minutes, reset to “HE” because the burners were still warm, and eventually shut off.
I called about the issue seeming to be related to a known recall on this model of stove, but was told it was corrected by the time my unit was manufactured.

The product, in the report: Flattop Stove/Oven
This range has been turning on and off on its own and the temperature fluctuates from desired settings. The manufacture also has various ranges that are similar/same that are recalled for bad switches. We did report our findings to the manufacture and have video if I can find it of the burners not turning off even after the switch was set in the off position. I personally ordered new switches and if memory serves me correct they were the fix for the recall items on the other like units. I got no where with the manufacture on our issues which was 1-1.5 years ago. We only replaced the switches that were having burner issues at that time. Today 8/21/15 my spouse informed me that while cleaning the range the back burner was hot and was not in use. So again the range is turning itself on and off with no one controlling it. It got hot enough now that the “hot surface light” indicates the surface is elevated. Again the unit was not in use. It is my belief that this is a well know problem as others online in a search the last time I had issues were concerned and our serial numbers were not coming up for recall. This is a “VERY SERIOUS” issue that needs to be evaluated.

The product, in the report: Frigidaire Range 30 in
I am writing regarding a Frigidarie range Model LGEF3043KFM SERIAL NUMBER VF31454703. Today we were baking and went outside with the oven set at 350. When we came back in 20 minutes later we found the house full of smoke and the oven exetremely hot blinking a code F10 and making a noise. After contacting the coming we were told this is a runaway temperature code. The only way we could shut off the oven was to turn off the breaker. If this would have stayed on much longer I believe we could have had a house fire. I believe this is a very serious issue.

The right back and front small burners were being used when we heard a high pitched alarm/siren from the stove - a sound we had never heard before. Looking at the stovetop the left front burner and bridge element were red hot/on and the knob was in the off position. The burners stayed on while we turned the knob to different settings. It went off after playing with the knob for a few seconds. We believe this could have happened when we were not home so we never leave anything on the stovetop.

The product, in the report: Drop in Cooktop
This caller is reporting her drop in range top/cooktop purchased sometime in Spring of 2008 from retailer in MO.
Sometime in 2013 she had one incident with the front right burners heat began escalating with the caller being unable to turn it off.
She kept trying to turn the burner off until she was successful. She has not used that burner since that incident although she considered it an isolated happening.
In the beginning of 2014 she began using the right front burner again but still could not turn the burner off for five to ten minutes of attempts. She stopped using it again and has not used it to this date.
She is reporting this incident as a severe fire hazard because if she would be unable to turn it off at all or if she didn’t notice that it hadn’t turned off it may result in a fire.
There are no injuries being reported.
The caller’s brother in law contacted the manufacturer April 9th or 10th, 2015 on her behalf but was advised only that it is not recalled and to contact CPSC.

The product, in the report: frigidaire oven, stanless steel look front and black glass top
While fixing Thanksgiving Dinner, I had my oven on 250 degrees and I noticed as I was cooking on the stove top, smoke coming from behind the oven. I immediately pulled the oven away from the wall and noticed an electrical fire was going on inside where the control panel is. We immediately put it out with flour and called 911. The fire department arrived and took a look at the situation and could not established what could have caused the fire but advised us to get an electrician out to make sure that it was due to the circuit breaker or outlets. Once the electrician came out to examine the situation, he then determined that it was the oven itself which was purchased at home depot I do believe in 2009 or 2010. So the appliance is not old. It is a Frigidaire range top. I filed a report with my insurance and had to purchase another oven. I could have lost everything and everyone if I was not attending to my meal. My husband purchased a Frigidaire oven from Lowes in the summer of 2010. He passed in September 2010. I was going thru treatment for breast cancer and rarely used the oven until 2012, As I was cooking a roast I noticed the light flash off and on making noise. The next time I tried to turn the oven on it would say preheat but would not ignite, I tried the broiler and it would turn on after a couple seconds. I feel like this is a safety issue due to the fact that the boiler is working but not the oven and trying to turn on is scary cause of gas issues. My husband would normally handle this, I am sure it is out of warranty but if this is going on with other ovens than it is defected.

The product, in the report: Flat top range and oven assembly.
Frigidaire Gallery series range/oven Part Number GLES389ESC. Normal use. The first problem occurred after a normal cleaning of the oven and control surfaces. Two burners turned on by themselves and error codes were evident.
Reset the unit a few times using the circuit breaker. All seems well. Then the right front burner turned on high while off. The left rear burner was randomly unable to work and then was on high suddenly.
The Left Rear control board fried completely (electrically burned traces in the board). I removed it and verified the part number from the manufacturer and replaced it. Then reset the system using the breaker circuit. Everything worked fine for a while.
Then the Right rear burner was unable to work on high, instead only able to cook at 9.5 or less. Later I reset the breaker again and the burner seemed to work properly again.
Then the Right front burner began to turn on high all by itself, we were able to reduce the heat setting of the burner and reset it by cycling the breaker. Then randomly the burner would turn on and not be able to turn off again. And again. Then just as suddenly the burner would turn on HIgh again…and randomly allow itself to be turned down or off. The Right Rear Burner and the right front now randomly are unable to adjust below 2.8 or above 7 and then they work again.
I beleive that this is the same board system used in many other recalls however I could not find a recall notice for this unit, nor did the manufacturer discuss that there is a recall when I called them for help.
If this is a recalled unit then I need to know exaclty how to resolve this problem and how to report the manufacturer for not informing me of recall when I called them.

I had my 2 year old granddaughter home at the time and this could have burnt down my house and Injured or killed my family. I contacted Sears and the Frigidare company. I sent pictures of the burnt and faulty wiring. Frididare told me that the range was out of warranty and that it was registered under another name. I stated that I purchased It new from Sears. When I contacted Sears about the range being preowned, faulty wiring and caught fire. They denied it and stated that all they could do was to have the range looked at by their serviceman which would be at my expense.

I have a frigidaire glass top stove and the right front burner will not regulate temperate. Once it is turned on it will keep getting hotter and hotter even if it is set to simmer. You can feel the heat from the burner a couple feet away. None of my other burners get as hot as the right front one not even when they are on high. It seems like this is a serious fire hazard. This has been going on for months now and I finally called a repair man and he said this is a serious and common problem with frigidaire stoves.

The product, in the report: Kitchen Stove, By Firgid Air, Model FEFLZ87GCD Silver in color
Purchased a Frigidair Stove, Model FEFLZ87GCD in Nov 2009 and since then on more then one occasion the stove burner on top has turn itself on automatically. We reported this to the warranty company and have called each time to find out if this product has been on recall. Each time we have been told that this product is not on the recall list and there is nothing they can do about it. We have 5 children in the home and we are lucky that each time except the most recent incident an adult has noticed the burner on and we ensured the children were no where near the kitchen.
However this is very dangerous as our last incident occurred whilst we were away for the night. It was lucky that my wife entered the home and straight into the kitchen to check and released that it was hot. Had something been on the top or fallen on top somehow we would have not had a home to come back to.
No one is willing to take responsibility for this malfunction and I’m sorry but I am not prepared to loose my home or have any member of my family hurt due to a faulty item.

RE: Frigidaire slide in stove model # FEF368GB; S# VF00467162; purchased 3/1/10, Fletcher’s Appliances, Nashua, NH
The “element on” light has come on randomly for the past two weeks, even in the middle of the night and when we are out of the house. Last night and this afternoon, the front right burner came on spontaneously. In addition, when the stove was being used tonight, the burner was burning hotter than it should have on the lowest setting.
We have the stove unplugged and have purchased a new stove today because we believe our stove could be a fire hazard. I read on-line tonight that there have been recalls, but our stove is not part of such a recall. I believe that the company should take responsibility for this model as well.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
