    On or about 1/4/25, my refrigerator went haywire (the ice maker refused to turn off) and when we returned home our refrigerator was on fire. I reported this incident to Samsung. They had a technician/investigator come to my residence. He confirmed that the motor to the ice maker overheated and caused a fire in my home. Despite this catastrophic equipment failure, I am not receiving just resolve by their customer service representives. I have all communication via email and I will attach a few images if possible.

    I purchased the Samsung fridge at Model # RF260BEAESR/AA / Serial # JKKM4BBKA02779V at Best Buy on 7/5/19. On 6/24/24, the fridge was not properly cooling. A technician from [REDACTED] came out to repair at a cost of $398. Ice had formed on the compressor fan. Samsung claims this is not a sealed part, although it is sealed, so it was not covered under the sealed parts warranty, which was still in effect as of that date. Now, on 1/1/25, though the temp gauge was showing 34, my food was not cold. I reset and now its saying 56. This defect is fully known to Samsung and is even detailed in articles published by [REDACTED]. Samsung was well aware of this defect when I purchased the appliance. I am demanding replacement value for a new fridge from another brand that doesnt violate the implied warranty. Or, in the alternative for a full refund, refund of the cost of repair, interest on refund from date of purchase, interest on repair refund from date of repair, free retrieval and disposal of the defective product, and reimbursement of food replacement costs of $500.00.

    I purchased a Samsumg French door refrigerator RF25HMEDB in 2019 from Best Buy. It was not keeping food at proper temp for months before it stopped cooling completely a few months before manufacturer warranty expired. After back and forth with Samsung and a month without a fridge a service tech replaced the compressor and inverter under Samsung warranty. I had to pay a nonrefundable $160 service fee.

    Now less than a year later, my fridge a month ago the freezer is not cooling at all. Fridge and icemaker work but not freezer. Samsung says there’s nothing they can do. Technician says there’s nothing he can do.

    We have a Samsung refrigerator that will not stay within a safe temperature. We keep replacing the fan because it will ice up. Then there is a leak from the ice melting. Which causes warm tempatures and humidity mold problems. We’ve gotten sick a few times from when it will defect. We have mold growing inside the eggs. Which in 43 years never thought that was possible.

    On December 8, 2019 I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, model number RF263BEAESGAA, for $1,547.00 at Home Depot. I began experiencing issues with the refrigerator during the summer of 2023; the ice maker failed to consistently make ice and kept freezing into a solid mass along with the fan located in the fridge compartment would intermittently emit loud noises

    Around May of 2024, my family and I noticed that the refrigerators temperature felt consistently warmer than usual. On May 28, 2024, while searching online for information about these ongoing issues with Subject Refrigerator, I learned of the class action against Samsung (along with numerous other product defect related lawsuits against Samsung) regarding the very same problems we were experiencing with our own appliance. While reading about the litigation, I discovered that Samsung was offering a service call and replacement part, free of charge, to remedy this known defect. I immediately called Samsung, provided my appliances information, and was given a ticket number as confirmation of my upcoming service appointment for the repair and installation of the replacement part.

    Soon after this call, I received a text message from a Samsung representative named [REDACTED] who requested that I send her photos of the refrigerators ice maker unit. I tried to upload the photos on the portal website provided by Samsung in its second confirmation email, but I was unable to complete the upload due to errors on the site. After being contacted by Samsung representatives [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], I was finally able to text photos of the fridge and the receipt on June 3, 2024

    Throughout the following weeks, I frequently visited the Samsung customer service portal to check the status of my service request. Each time I visited this site (even on the day of the July 26, 2024 incident) I was met with the same message , which stated: Dear customer, your request has been received and we are in the process of reviewing the submitted documents. You will only be able to access the portal, to send additional documentation, once the documents have been reviewed. Here at Samsung, we pride ourselves in providing customer service nothing short of excellence. Please feel free to reach out to us for status updates or any additional inquiries.

    I continued to check the portal throughout the months of June and July of 2024. In mid-July, my 5-year-old son and I began experiencing bouts of vomiting and diarrhea whenever we would drink something out of the fridge. It got to the point that every time my son would have a glass of milk, he would vomit violently. On July 26, 2024, I decided to deep clean the Subject Refrigerator and began removing the refrigerators contents. It was then that I discovered that the back panels were iced up. Additionally, water was dripping down the back of the main compartment into the vegetable compartments and pooling under the trays. As I pulled open the trays, water gushed out onto my kitchen floor. Obviously alarmed, I called the phone number listed on my Samsung work order. I explained the current situation to the representative and asked him about the status of my pending service request. To my utter surprise, the representative informed me that my service request was closed out. I asked how it could possibly be closed out since nobody had yet contacted me to schedule the service. According to the website, my documents were still being reviewed. The representative answered that Samsung closed out the request since they could not find a technician available that would complete my service. I have never heard of a company cancelling out its own work order to remedy a defective product that posed a health and safety hazard. Samsung knew of this products defect, accepted my claim, and was in the process of scheduling a service call for my unit. According to their own portal, my claim was still active. Yet Samsung decided to close out my request and refuse to follow through on the repair without even contacting me about their inability to complete the process. Due to Samsungs negligence in mishandling my repair request, the defective component failed and caused this major issue. I expressed my shock to the Samsung representative and explained that it was currently 105 degrees in my area; thus, I needed my refrigerator repaired as soon as possible. He assured me that he would give me a ticket number to have someone respond to me within 48 hours, who would then arrange a date to inspect the Subject Refrigerator. I reminded him that the last time I followed this procedure, my request was closed out without any notice. Additionally, since the Subject Refrigerator was flooding and inoperable, I needed to have the service, repair, and/or replacement provided as soon as possible. The Samsung representative gave me the number of the local appliance repair technician to see if I could get them to come to my home earlier due to this emergency situation.

    I immediately called the technician but they informed me that I would be required to pay for the service call and any repairs out of my own pocket. I called Samsung back and they confirmed that they would be charging me to pay for any service calls, fees, and repairs despite the fact that this emergency was caused by their own defective product and their failure to follow through on their previous (and free) service call. When I requested that they provide either a replacement refrigerator or credit toward the purchase of one, Samsung refused. As a result, I had to purchase a small emergency refrigerator, ice, and subsequently a new refrigerator unit. Additionally, all my food in the refrigerator and in the freezer were spoiled and had to be thrown away, approximately $500.00 worth of frozen and fresh food. I have since been attempting to resolve this issue with Samsung but despite filing a [REDACTED] complaint and exchanging numerous phone calls and emails with customer service representatives, I have been unable to do so. Samsung denies that their representative told me during my call on July 26, 2024 that my May 28, 2024 repair request was cancelled on their own volition. As Samsung records all of their calls for quality control purposes, they should be able to find the recording of this conversation. To date, Samsung has only offered to send a technician out to look at my refrigerator, which has been stored in my garage and rendered inoperable since the July 26, 2024 incident.

    I purchased s Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF28R7201SG/AA in April 2023. The ice route has mold buildup in the path from icemaker to ice dispensing from door. I contact Costco where I purchased unit and I was referred to contact Samsung Tech. Unit Warranty will expire in April 2025. Twice Samsung Techs have visited in attempt to resolve. Both times I was told to clean the ice path of unit. I explained the ice path is small than my hand and I cannot clean. I informed Owners Manual has no instructions on how to clean the ice route. Mold has buildup under the ice maker and inside the ice route into the door dispenser. I explained this is a poor design because ice maker is inside the refrigerator and when door are opened the ice starts to melt immediately causing condensation and a buildup on mold. When in normal standing position I cannot see down the ice path in the door. A stool is required to see the mold in the ice route. The Ice Route is small and a normal size hand cannot reach to where the shutter winder inside the ice path to clean.

    The black substance which I believe is mold in the dispenser can be a health hazard to all members of the family. We have not used the water Dispenser or Ice Dispenser due to the high risk of injecting mold in the ice or water.

    Samsung refrigerator, as delivered from factory, has never been able to keep food at a safe temperature for more than 8 months. The refrigerator will never show the actual temperature inside the unit, so there is no way to know if the food is safe to consume. THis happens every single year, and I find out when I get violently sick, that the refrigerator is no longer working and needs to be disassembled fully to repair the issue. Samsung has faced multiple lawsuits from others over the same issues and Samsung has never admitted warranty fault nor admitted the units do not work. I have invested hundreds of my own into this refrigerator trying to make it safe but all attempts have failed and it will always freeze up in back and then fail to keep food cold.

    Dear Consumer Product Safety Commission,

    I am writing to report an issue with a Samsung freezer that has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and potential health risks.

    What happened that made you want to report? Despite being assured by multiple representatives that my issue would be resolved, I have been transferred ten times to different departments, explaining the situation anew each time, without any resolution. On October 24, 2024, I was on the phone and also chatting with customer support from 11:30am until 4:30pm. My replacement freezer, delivered on September 24, 2024, failed within one month of receiving it, and I lost all my groceries a second time, including meal-prepped food representing cost, time, and effort.

    What type of product(s) were being used? The product in question is a Samsung 11.4 cu. ft. Convertible Upright Freezer Refrigerator with Drawers in Stainless Look (Model Number: RZ11M7074SA/AA, Serial Number: 09DV4NAX102138).

    Who was using the product(s)? The freezer was being used by me, [REDACTED], and my household.

    How were the product(s) being used? The freezer was being used to store groceries, including meal-prepped food.

    Were there any injuries that happened or may have happened while using the product? There were no physical injuries, but the repeated failures caused significant stress and potential health risks due to food being at unsafe temperatures without our knowledge.

    How did any injuries occur? The compressor in the freezer stopped working randomly and then started again, causing food to be at unsafe temperatures. This could lead to foodborne illnesses, posing a serious health risk.

    Additional Details: The original order was placed on September 2, 2024.

    The first freezer was delivered shortly after and failed within a week, causing me to lose all my food.

    I spent hours with customer service troubleshooting the first unit before it was decided on September 12 that a replacement would be sent.

    The replacement freezer was delivered on September 24, 2024. Unfortunately, it also failed within 30 days, leading to a second loss of all my groceries.

    On October 24, 2024, I spent 4.5 hours on the phone and in chat support, being transferred 10 times to several departments. Each representative assured me they would help, but I was left without a resolution.

    Given these circumstances, I urgently request a full refund and return of the faulty product. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and financial loss. In an additional effort to get this resolved, I’ve also filed a complaint with [REDACTED], complaint ID [REDACTED]. Note that in the [REDACTED] case, I listed as being on the phone until 3:30, however, I was then on the phone another whole hour after that to no avail.

    Dear Sir/ma’am: I bought a new Samsung refrigerator on 5/26/24 and it was delivered on 5/31/24 (Model# RF23BB86004MAA - 04 and Serial number 1HM643AX300041L). Since 9/1/24 we have been having issues with the fridge not making ice cubes.

    I contacted Samsung for the first time on 9/10/24 for help and I was directed to read the manual and since we have reverse osmosis filters, I was told that the lack of water pressure was due to our filter. I called the reverse osmosis installer, and they came to the house and checked the water pressure and the pressure from the filters to the fridge was correct. On 9/18/24 I called Samsung again and this time I was recommended to buy Samsung DA67-02270A Cap-Support Filter. I bought the caps and waited over a week to receive them. I received them around Friday September 27th. The caps didn’t fit our unit (the caps are not made for our fridge model). I decided to go buy a fridge water filter and install it with the hope that the fridge made ice. That weekend we went out of town and came back Sunday 29th and the freezer had defrosted, and the fridge top part was in the mid 60’s, but the panel was showing that the inside temperature was 36 degrees. We had to throw away all the food that went bad. My son received a liver transplant in August, and he needs to keep his medications and insulin refrigerated and we had to dispose of those as well. I contacted Samsun again Monday 30th. Samsung sent a contractor on Tuesday October 1st to make a diagnostic of the issue. The technician found that the evaporator and condenser were not working. Samsung ordered those parts and on Wednesday October 9th the contractor came back to the house to install the new parts. By Thursday October 10th evening, we realized that the fridge was again not holding the temperature in the freezer. By Friday October 11th morning, the top part of the freezer wasnt working and again I contacted Samsung. Samsung sent the contractor again to our home Monday 14th to have a video conference with Samsung Technical Support. The technician told me that he wasnt there to make any diagnostic or to fix anything, but only to follow the Samsung Technical Support on whatever they wanted to see. The Technical Support person told the contractor that this was a high risk claim and to close the ticket. Thats all I heard. I have been trying to get in touch with Samsung since yesterday to no avail. No one is telling me whether the fridge will be fixed or replaced. As of now, the fridge panel shows the top temperature to be 36 degrees and the freezer temperatures to be 0 degrees. Both temperatures are in the high 70’s.

He was vomiting and complaining of a stomach ache all night so we suspect that he may have gotten sick due to the food he consumed from the freezer being spoiled. Because of that, we have had to toss out all of the food in the freezer! Also, now the temperature in the fridge has gotten so high that it caused all of that food to spoil as well!     I purchased a brand new Samsung Bespoke refrigerator because my old one of a different brand leaked and was 17 years old. I expected my medications, raw and cooked meats, and other perishable products to be safe once I followed the instructions in the manual from Samsung. Not even a week after having the Bespoke, I noticed the refrigerator just was not that cold. I purchased two thermometers, placed one in the freezer and one in the refrigerator. The refrigerator first was set to 37F per Samsung manual, and the freezer to 0F. The thermometer in the refrigerator was reading 46.7F, and the freezer -10F. I contacted Samsung in chat, one person said I could exchange the unit at Lowe’s. I called Lowe’s and spoke with the manager, who said Samsung would need to give me an RA number in order to return. Lowes didn’t give me anything with the 2 day return window, and told me I’d have to buy their extended warranty to return it and lose the price I paid as it is not transferable. I have seen similar issues with this brand/model since having an issue, that didn’t show up before I purchased. Samsung had a post as far back as 2016, yet deleted the comments about the refrigerator not cooling. Reddit is full of the same complaints. I don’t have the money, nor the space to buy a new refrigerator again. Samsung claims they can send someone out tomorrow instead of a week from yesterday, (somehow, they magically had someone available), I have requested this person wear a mask in my home, as I am immunocompromised. Samsung went back on their initial word that I could exchange, and now say I must wait to see what the technician says. This refrigerator doesn’t keep a constant temp at all. I have added two temp probes to measure the air temp.

    My refrigerator made a loud noise. When I went to see what was happening I noticed smoke coming from the ice maker and it smelled of something burning. When attempting to pull fridge out to unplug it, it was hot to the touch. My husband immediately pulled his hand away and had to grab it from a different spot. Managed to pull it out and unplug it. That seemed to resolve the issue but not before my kitchen was filled with smoke and a piece of my refrigerator door was melted. The burnt smell still looms by and in the refrigerator. We had to throw out all of our food as we are frightened of what might happen if we plug the fridge back in. I am grateful I was home and awake at the time of the incident. Who knows what may have happened otherwise.

    Samsung Refrigerator’s icemaker motor had an electrical short and caused smoke inhalation. Once already replaced icemaker unit was making a humming sound and generating smoke. During my service request (7/2/24) I was told the icemaker unit would be replaced. The visit was performed 7/3/24. The technicians described the condition of the icemaker parts, and the burnt smell; and were directed via phone by their supervision that the damage would not enable the repair (icemaker replacement) and were directed to take out two icemaker subassemblies - which show the wiring shortage and burnt areas. I was told that Samsung would make “accommodations” The accommodation process is very complicated, and has not been completed even after several escalation calls.

    I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my Samsung French door refrigerator, which my family and I have been using. We have encountered a severe issue with the refrigerator’s cooling system, amongst many other problems, which is a known design that is well-documented defective. This defect has led to a significant loss of food and, more alarmingly, a health risk for my family. The refrigerator stopped cooling correctly; the inside is 56 degrees, but that is displayed on the unit’s thermostat, which says 36 degrees. I bought two refrigerator thermometers and put them in different positions inside the fridge, which resulted in the spoilage of over $500 worth of food. This was a financial loss and a significant inconvenience as we relied on the refrigerator for our daily meals and had to discard all the spoiled food. More concerning, however, was that before we realized the food was spoiled, we consumed some dairy products that had gone bad due to the lack of proper cooling. This resulted in a case of food poisoning, causing discomfort and health concerns for my family. Despite the seriousness of the issue, Samsung has not received any assistance or resolution. This lack of response is disappointing and frustrating, given the severity of the situation. I urge you to address this matter urgently. The defective refrigerator poses a continued risk to our health and well-being, and we are currently unable to store food safely.

    We purchased a Samsung Fridge Model #RS27T5200WW in January of 2021. Since I have owned it, I have now had three door shelves break under normal use with the fridge set at 39 degrees. Any setting lower than 39 freezes beverages. We believe the faulty shelves to be due to either unsafe acrylic or a faulty temperature sensor, which may be causing cracks in the shelving. The shelves are clearly defective, and I am asked Samsung to replace them as a commitment to its customer service and values to stand behind its product quality with absolutely no luck. I believe the shelf parts are DA97-20638A. As you can see in the photo below, when the shelf collapses, it creates sharp fragments that cut hands and get into food containers below. There is also a high likelihood of fragments being stepped on. I believe this is a major safety issue since I cut my hand cleaning the fragments, and Samsung will not acknowledge it or provide replacements. I am asking if you can compel the company to replace the shelving and to recall or warrant these parts for 10 years.

    I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF32CG5300SR, in Sept 2023. We have had numerous issues of foods going bad before expiration, all 5 members of our house having numerous bouts of what we thought was a stomach bug. Throwing tons of food out that should have still been good. Milk always going bad before expiration. Mother’s Day weekend the fridge stopped cooling and ice stopped making. We contacted Samsung, since it is only 8 months old, it is still in the mfr warranty and not able to be serviced by our extended warranty. It took 2.5, weeks for a tech to come out due to heavy service call volume. They had to order the part, so that took another week. Five days after the ‘repair’, we woke up to 60 degree temps in the fridge. We have had thermometers in the fridge and despite the internal thermostat stating it was 37 in the fridge, it was in fact almost 60 degrees. We had our app and it NOT ONCE alerted us to the unsafe temps above 40 degrees. In fact after the evaporator failed, it stated it was cooling and in good working order. The tech came back out today, stated the fridge is unrepairable and contacted Samsung to report. Stated we are eligible for a refund. I waited a few hours, contacted Samsung being it is Friday and any fridge I order is over 2 weeks out for delivery. They told me it would be 24 to 48 business hours, confirmed NEXT WEEK, to wait for someone to get the techs report. Even though he called in my house. I heard the guy on the phone confirm the details. I have lost thousands of dollars of food and medication. All of us have had food borne illness symptoms multiple times since we purchased this refrigerator. This would be different if this was a really old fridge, or a new problem. But the 100k plus members of a social media group with the exact issues, prior class action suits filed, and reports from Consumer groups calling out these issues, even a [REDACTED] article. They are making it difficult hoping you will just go away.

    I bought the samsung RF28K9380SG in May 2016. My family starts having stomach issues since 2018 and the doctors cannot find any problem except maybe food poisoning. This issue is still going on. Stainless steel finish. Exterior ice/water dispenser. Additional icemaker in bottom drawer freezer. this is a consumer product for residential home use. It is located in a ground floor kitchen in an appropriately sized alcove.

    Samsung Refrigerator Model RF28R6241SR v. 52/Compressor Model NF54M7151ANE01. Purchased April 2022. Warranty expired April 2023. Feb. 2024 noticed water dripping into/accumulating in bottom (deli) drawer of fridge compartment. In fridge icemaker stopped working properly. Home warranty service tech came to diagnose. He stated this is a Known Problem with these refrigerators: The coils inside the back panel of the fridge compartment accumulate ice, causing the compressor to fail. Despite the panel inside the compartment stating that interior temp is 37F, Upon use of an instant food thermometer sampling foods on each shelf of the fridge, all ranged from 40.2-41.7 degrees. The icemaker fails because ice melts in the icemaker mechanism and then jams the mechanism because it is also too warm to maintain ice integrity. These issues are not remediable via repair, as even a full defrost and restart will not prevent additional accumulation of ice on the coils inside the fridge frame. This is a public danger. Were it not for my own experience with food safety management in commercial kitchens, I would not know how to prevent my family from getting food poisoning, as I am well aware food should ideally be kept at around 38F, but certainly no higher than 40F to prevent rapid bacteria growth. We are microwaving EVERYTHING before ingesting it. This was a waste of >$1500 as we now have to ditch this fridge and replace it for something that due to inflation will now cost >$2000. This is unacceptable. Samsung has not responded to inquiries and the retailer we purchased it from (Lowes) is unable to assist since the warranty is over. Please ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS PRODUCT before someone dies.

    I am writing to file a complaint regarding the Samsung Family Hub 26.5-cu ft French Door Refrigerator with Ice Maker (Model #RF27T5501SR) that I purchased from Lowe’s on 08/25/2020 for $2,454.18. The fridge’s cooling system failed, causing loss of all my food and vital medication, including insulin, which I need to stay alive as a Type 1 Diabetic.

    On 06/02/2024, my husband and I heard a strange noise from the fridge, but the temp readings on the Family Hub screen seemed normal. By 06/03/2024, the freezer contents were mushy, indicating a failure. Despite this, the fridge and SmartThings app did not alert us. I contacted Samsung in a panic, discarding all our recently purchased frozen food. They instructed me to reset the fridge via the breaker, but this did not resolve the issue. Later, the fridge’s temp rose, causing further loss of perishable food and my essential insulin. I had to throw away both my frozen and refrigerated food.

    As an immunocompromised individual, this situation is dire. Samsung’s response has been inconsistent and frustrating. After being assured my case was a priority, I received no follow-up. When I called again on 06/04/2024, I was informed my case was not escalated. I uploaded my purchase receipt as requested, only to be told it was rejected and that my fridge was out of warranty. However, it is still within the 5-year warranty for the cooling system.

    I was advised that no service technicians were available within 100 miles. Initially, I was told to hire a local tech and submit their diagnosis. However, the “specialty claims” department then informed me to wait an additional 24-48 hours for a manager to contact me with the next steps before hiring a tech, causing further delays.

    The only acceptable resolution is a full refund for the refrigerator and compensation for the loss of food and medication. My health and well-being are at risk due to Samsung’s defective product and inadequate customer support.

    My Samsung refrigerator has been a nightmare. Purchased 2015. First it had ice maker problems. The first time it was repaired it worked. After the 2nd repair in 2020/2021, the ice would be wet and half melted in the ice bin and we found shards of small sharp plastic in the ice, which could have caused great harm if we hadnt noticed it. I turned the icemaker off and never used it again. The first person at Samsung said they’d pay for another icemaker repair but only if I agreed to pay for all the other repairs. I refused because 1. I wouldnt have trusted a 3rd repair after the 2nd repair left sharp plastic pieces in the ice. 2. I knew the whole refrigerator was bad by that time. The temperature in the fridge and the middle drawer went bad. Lost about $800. food. I always had to push the quick cool button to get it cold again. Then the middle drawer lost its temperature controls completely and would sometimes be so cold it froze drinks in the drawer and sometimes it would be warm. Also, the loud alert bell would go off for days on end. The final straw was the freezer went out May 12, 2024. Lost another $700. of food In freezer! I had no choice but to buy a new fridge today. Im a 72 year old widow. I have an adult daughter, with spine problems on disability and her young son who has a rare syndrome living with me. My grandson has a feeding tube and had open heart surgery and a defibrillator implant in 2022. My daughter had two spine surgeries in 2021. My 95 year old dad used to come stay over the summer every year until 2023. I also had urgent surgery in 2020. I mention our situation because our family has a very chaotic situation with all the medical issues and I didnt have time to keep calling Samsung. Samsung first told me they would take care of me. They said they escalated my claim. They then kept passing me around to different people , but delayed for months. Then they said they lost my first claim with my receipts, pictures and videos. I continued to request help and they gave me a new claim number, saying they would get me a refund or some type of credit. Then there was more delay and they never returned my calls. Finally they denied me, saying my refrigerator wasn’t covered. I made a claim to the NJ [REDACTED]. The [REDACTED] site would not download my videos of proof, but Samsung denied my claim immediately, saying my refrigerator was over 9 years old. At the time of my first claim, it wasnt even 7 years old and had years of problems. My claim would have been sooner except for the Covid distancing and my familys medical problems during this time. I could not handle dealing with all the lies from Samsung. I had to give up. My refrigerator went out totally two days ago. I had to spend $3,000. to get a replacement that will fit our needs.

    I purchased a Side by Side fridge from Samsung model # RS28A500ASR/AA in 01/29/2022, never had an issue before this past weekend 05/04/2024, our freezer starts to defrost. By end of the day its not longer cooling. We unplugged the fridge as listed on the Guide. When we plugged it back in, neither side freezer or fridge was cooling. The temperatures got as high as 60 Degrees. We unplugged it again for a full day, plugged it back in and still no response. I called Samsung, they sent a tech out for 05/08/2024, made me pay for the service. According to the tech the issue is a bad PCB and I would have to pay for repairs because its out of warranty $450.The fridge is 3 yeas old! All my food went bad, I had bought groceries two days before and all the food went bad. Samsung has known issues with their fridges and they refuse any work around with me. After research I found pages saying there are issues with ice tray and PCB, my fridge has a ice dispenser which I never used.

    We got a bad Samsung Refrigerator It has had repeated problems. Ice maker was bad when we got it. Repairman came twice and said its a common thing. The refrigerator would not cool and we lost our food. We called service men and all refused to work on it as soon as we told them it was a Samsung. We finally got a person fro a chain repair company to come. The design was common for freeze ups. He worked on it and billed us and left. We are having the same problem again.     Samsung Refrigerator model RF18HFENBSR. My fridge/freezer combo from Samsung has been thawing and re-freezing foods without notice and has been causing my family and I digestive issues and chronic diarrhea until discovering that the unsafe foods within the freezer were making us all sick. Not to mention the amount of money lost due to having to throw away spoiled food. I ordered the Samsung - 17.5 Cu. Ft. French Door-Counter Depth Refrigerator-with Ice Maker-Stainless Steel. The business committed to provide a reliable, working fridge/freezer combo that would keep my food at a safe temperature, however, that has been far from the case. The fridge/freezer combo worked for about 6 months until I noticed that the freezer on this component suddenly goes in defrost mode and thaws all frozen food and does this about 2-3 times every other month or so, that I have noticed, possibly even more. I have had to unplug and reset this unit plenty of times, for it to fail the next couple days or weeks anyways. I have had to resort to buying a separate stand-up chest freezer (not the same brand for obvious reasons) for the garage due to having to throw numerous frozen food items out several times in the past including breast milk over the last few months. I cannot keep anything in the freezer which in turn has probably run up my electric bill also due to the freezer attempting to cool an empty cooler when it does want to freeze. I have had the freezer serviced in the past, to no avail.

    We purchased a Samsung counter depth side by side refrigerator, model #RS22T5201SR four months ago. Last week the temperature was 57 to 59 degrees for 5+ days and all the food in the refrigerator went bad. We found out that there are big problems with this type of all-around cooling type of refrigerator and are very unhappy with it. We were told that because of the low price of the refrigerator, it does not reliably cool the food. Samsung is blocking the complaints about their all around cooling refrigerator. My son is undergoing chemo currently and has very low white blood cell counts so any bacteria in food would be extremely dangerous for him.

    My Samsung refrigerator has continuously failed to maintain safe temperatures, even after multiple repairs. Samsung is aware of this defect in the product. It was resulted in significant food loss and food borne illness for my family.

    We have experienced the same issue repeatedly, with the first time occurring while the product was under extended warranty.

    The last time this happened my husband was treated in the ER for Colitis and both of my children were seen at the pediatrician for vomiting. Our refrigerator temperature is currently 58 degrees and Samsung wont reimburse me for repairs, food loss, or send someone out to fix the issue for another week.

    I own a samsung refrigerator and this product leaks water under the crisper drawer which leads to ice buildup. this wter copems from the frozen evaporator coil that freeze up for no reason and leads to excessive water and leaks. This issue cause a bunch of other issues such as no cooling and leaks. MY food medicine and other products have spoiled and even possible ahs cause food poisoning. I researched this issue online and it seem as if this is a common issue that samsung is unable to address or correct.

    My Samsung hub refrigerator had the ice maker repaired twice within the last four years because ice chunks were building up and water leaking now my refrigerator temperature dropped so much that the cooling unit is not cooling. Samsung technician repair came out and stated that the OC System needs to be replaced but the warranty went out a year ago. The technician stated that it was not the compressor. Samsung refused to cover the charge for the repair and I had the refrigerator for six years.

    I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RF30KMEDBSR/AA on 11/23/2016. It was installed in early 2017 because of the holidays. Within the first year, the ice machine froze over, started leaking and no longer produced ice. We also noticed that our produce and dairy products were spoiling too fast. Because the ice maker is located in the refrigerator portion of our fridge, the frozen ice maker made the fan work overtime and the temperature would consistently stay over 40 degrees, instead of the 37 degrees for which it was set. We used our homeowners warranty to have it repaired.

    This pattern continued multiple times in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Each time we used our home warranty for repairs. Each time we had to throw away all dairy, fruit, produce and meat because the temperature would spoil food.

    In 2021 our home warranty was expired and our ice maker/fridge stop working. We had to throw away food.

    I decided to contact Samsung directly on 7/31/2021 and they sent a repairman to fix. They tried to tell me it was out of warranty so I needed to pay for repair. After much argument they agreed to pay for the repair. Again I had food spoilage. On 1/1/2022, I again contacted Samsung for a repair due to the same issue. They again sent a repairman 3 weeks later. All food spoiled again.

    During this time, a friend found a Samsung fridge complaint page. I discovered that there were multiple lawsuits against Samsung due to my EXACT complaint on my same model/year. In one of the lawsuits, Samsung admitted they were selling a defaulted product, so they agreed to repair it 3 times, then offer a 50 % refund of your purchase price if out of their 1 year manufacturer warranty. But, they would only give the refund after 3 attempted repairs. Of course, by then most refrigerators would be out of the 1 year warranty!

    So basically, when I purchased a new refrigerator in early 2017, Samsung knew they were selling a defective product! They implied that it was a great refrigerator and it would work properly. Unfortunately, I didnt discover this information until 2021, so Samsung did not have an official complaint from me until their warranty expired.

    On 8/26/2022, I contacted Samsung to schedule a repair since my fridge/ice-maker malfunctioned again multiple times during the year. Samsung attempted to schedule a repair, but could not get a repairman to even come out to repair it because they knew it was a defective product.

    I asked for a refund for replacement and was offered $1070. Replacement cost was $1900 on sale, so I decided not to take that low amount. I did not realize I could also get food replacement refund, so I did not ask for it at the time but told them about my spoilage.

    Due to major health problems and my husband loosing his job, I did not have the time or energy to call Samsung in 2023, but the problem continued by this time on a weekly basis. We not only lost food, we lost expensive medications because I could not verify the safety of the product with fluctuating temperatures.

    In 4/3/2024, I called Samsung again because of the problem. In June 2023, we purchased a counter top ice-maker because of the frequency of the problem. But, food continued to spoil well before their expiration dates and had to be thrown away on multiple occasions during 2017-2024.

    Samsung asked for my receipt during my April 2024 phone call and I was able to send it to them (after much research). My purchase price in November 2016 was $1959.52 plus $200 installation and connection lines.

    They then told me they could only offer me $832 because they used my receipt for refund price (less than 50% of original cost) despite the fact that during the conversation the supervisor admitted to the defect, told me they are still selling the faulty product but working on a new design, admitted to the multiple lawsuits and told me the replacement cost was $2400.

    He also stated that they were only allowed to replace food loss if the complaint was within 5 years of purchasing the product. He would be able to offer me the original $1070 if I did not give them my receipt.

    After a 2 hr and 7 min phone call and speaking to 4 people, Samsung agreed to give me a refund for $1070 max and no food refund.

    My refrigerator broke down so many times from 2017-2024, I lost count. Since I got it we have wasted thousands of dollars in food/medications because the temperature fluctuations above 40 degrees. Samsung is still selling the faulty refrigerators that they admit has a defect, yet they imply that the product works as it is advertised.

    Had I discovered the lawsuits/[REDACTED]page sooner, I would have immediately asked for a refund instead of using my home warranty for repair.

    Unfortunately, I was not able to afford a new refrigerator during this time or I would have replaced it. I have had major GI health issues requiring complex surgeries/hospitalizations and wonder if it was because I ate spoiled food?

    Samsung is still selling the same product. How?

    My fairly new Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF28T5021SR stopped working on 4/1/24. The freezer still works but the refrigerator stopped working and the temperature inside went up to 68 degrees. It took a little while to realize that this happened so we went for over 24 hours eating and drinking spoiled food and dairy products that made us feel sick. We realized that this was a problem and we called Samsung. Of course, they offered no help. They make you speak with an outsourced customer service agent from the Phillipines that can barely speak english. They have no training to assist you with the error code on the product. They quickly try to schedule an expensive service call that doesn’t happen until days or weeks later. The warranty is a joke. The refrigerator was still in the big box store for the first 2 months of the 12 month warranty. Then they have only 2 authorized Samsung repair techs in the entire city so of course I have to wait. A new product like this that i spent thousands of dollars on should not be disposable junk after only 2 years.

    As a consumer of the Samsung French Door Refrigerator with Family Hub RF265BEAESG, I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the numerous issues I have encountered with the appliance. Today marks yet another instance of the refrigerator’s malfunction, adding to a series of problems that have persisted throughout the second year of ownership. Despite experiencing similar issues multiple times before, reaching out for assistance yielded no meaningful help or resolution from Samsung or its representatives. The recurring failure of the cooling system, premature breakdown of interior components, and persistent water leakage from the back of the refrigerator have caused significant inconvenience and damage to my home. It is evident that these issues are not isolated incidents, as many other consumers have reported similar experiences with the same model. Given the recurring nature of these problems and their potential hazards, I strongly advocate for Samsung to recall the RF265BEAESG refrigerator and take immediate action to address these issues comprehensively. Additionally, I expect to be compensated for all damages incurred as a result of the faulty refrigerator and the lack of adequate support from Samsung. As a loyal customer, I implore Samsung to prioritize consumer safety and satisfaction by rectifying these issues promptly and effectively.

    [REDACTED] My 3rd report and will continue until this is resolved to my satisfaction.

    After a little over 3 months, my new Samsung refrigerator (purchased November 2023) the upper ice maker went out on March 7th. Called them to report it the same night. They scheduled a tech to come out on 3/12. The next night I called to add to the issue because the freezer wasnt not freezing. The 1st tech came out and replaced the ice maker because it was defective and stated that the lower one was fine and that it makes ice slow. After a couple of hours called back because the freezer had thawed out most of the food that was in there. After several emails and calls they scheduled another tech to come today, the 15th. In the meantime time the display was showing-5 but nothing was freezing. The little ice that was in there had all but melted and the bottle of water that I placed in there overnight night, never froze. The tech did come out and after 30 minutes, he stated the problem was that the compressor went out which was the cause of the upper ice maker issue. I told him I dont even want them to replace the compressor nor the unit, I want my full refund of the fridge and the cost of food lost from SAMSUNG.

    I have emailed the CEO over 12 times. Was on phone over an hour today so far. Was given a name of a case manager but have not heard from them. This product should not be sold. It is a hazard!

    I purchased the Samsung Mega (Side by Side) at the end of 2023.Within 3 weeks of delivery and installation from Lowes, the unit completely died. Neither the freezer nor the refrigerator were cooled. The unit began to leak fumes into my home. Samsung’s repair partner, [REDACTED] , surveyed the unit on 2/7, and determined it was a more detailed repair involved. A second unit came out on 2/9 and repaired the unit. After several hours of repair, the repairman advised that my repair wasn’t as bad as he’d been seeing. Noting that he’s had to repair units on the very first day of installation / service. I noticed the same lack of coolant issues on 2/28, the fridge unit, despite showing a temp of 34 degrees, isn’t cooling. All of my freezer content was melting / thawed despite showing a temperature of -8. I contacted Samsung Care on 3/1/2024 to request an exchange of the defective unit, and was advised that since there’s only been one repair thus far, partners to align with them that repairs “aren’t bad”. Samsung is disregarding consumer health and safety by continuously placing defective products into the marketplace. Their new refridgerators should not require repairs every 3 weeks. By falsely representing temperatures, they caused me and my family to consume milk and food at unsafe temperatures. Also the leak in our home causes headaches.

    I bought a Samsung family hub refrigerator and I have many major problems I have had two technicians come out to search the problem and neither seemed to no what the problem is I reached out to Samsung for a third time in less then 90 days and they are making me pay another diagnostic fee to come out again. My refrigerator keeps cutting off and the ice maker is continuously leaks the refrigerator is causing me to lose money because I have to keep throwing food out in which we know times are hard in the consumer market . I have expressed my complaint to Samsung with no care about my problems.

    Item to report - Samsung Bespoke Refridgerator Model, S/N: 0BM84BCW901171L / RF30BB6200QLAA The refridgerator was used under normal condition as a household appliance.

    My Samsung Bespoke refrigerator began to fail at the beginning of February. The first indication was the ice machine stopped producing ice. Soon after my freezer items began to thaw. During this time I had two service calls. The service calls did not remedy the issue. After the service calls, the fridgerator portion stopped cooling.

    This lack of cooling caused unsafe conditions with a family members medication that require refrigeration. We’ve lost a significant amount of food. During this time we experienced minor stomach upsets. We do not have any alternatives to store our medications and cold/frozen foods. We are forced to purchase our meals out.

    After the thrid service call, the technician said that the freon was leaking forom the fridge and that it should be unplugged immediately. He advised that no repair could be done and a new unit was warranted. I have reached out to Samsungand have not reached a resolution.

Th consumer contacted the firm and suggested that he defrost the refrigerator. The consumer did as suggested, however, that only works for a while. The issue has been ongoing since 2021.

    Sorry to say we just purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes on January 3rd of 2024 and it is already not cooling. We see that we are not alone. We contacted support and they issued a ticket for us but the repair service will not come out for 11 days. We just spent over $600 dollars at [REDACTED]. We left for 3 days and when we got back we had defrosted items in freezer and temps at 47 degrees for fridge and 29 degrees for freezer . We have spoken to Samsung and they will not reimburse us unless we let tech check unit, that would work if we didn’t have to wait 11 days. Lowes have agreed to exchange unit for new one but not likely to reimburse us as well. 35 days for your product to make us rethink your brand and customer service.

    We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (model number RF28T5021SG) on May 23, 2023 from Best Buy. The refrigerator was working as normal until November 2023, when my wife noticed the temperature inside felt a little warm. We put a thermometer inside the refrigerator and realized the temperature was over 60F even though the thermostat on the door of the fridge was reading 34F. We had to throw out a full refrigerator and freezers worth of groceries, including a lot of pumped breast milk that we didn’t feel was safe for our infant after being at an unsafe temperature for an unknown period of time. A repairman came out to look at the unit on 11/30/2023 but by that time it was working as normal again. He checked some settings on the refrigerator and said he would be in contact in a weeks time to check on the unit. We kept on eye on the temperature after that and had another incident around February 9, 2024, when the refrigerator again went about 60F, even though the thermostat on the inside of the fridge was still registering 34F. We again lost a full refrigerator and freezer full of groceries along with more breast milk for our child. When cleaning out the fridge this time, I noticed lots of food with mold on it suggesting the temperature had been dipping for while. We’re very lucky that our child didn’t eat any of this and get sick, because the built in thermostat on the fridge never got above 34F suggesting everything was safe. We were only able to tell there was issue by using a separate thermometer that tracked maximum temperature recorded each day. We have started trying to contact Samsung about fixing the issues but are being told the warranty period expired in January 2024, even though the unit was not purchased until May 2023 and they state a one year warranty on the purchase.

    Refrigerator doesnt keep food at a safe temperature. Also with power surges the refrigerator doesnt come back on, so when return home all the food is spoiled. We have all gotten food poisoning and have thrown away thousands of dollars of food. The fan freezes and without completely turning off and dethawing every 2 months the food temp will not be in safe range. The water leaks down into freezer compartment and when power surge happens we will come home to our wood floors being wet.

    Samsung refrigerator RF263BEAESR does not cool. The back wall of the refrigerator froze over. It leaked water on the floor, and food spoiled in two days. Mold began to grow inside the refrigerator. And gnats. For a long time we did not realize why our food kept going bad. Until it became obvious. Canned drinks kept in the refrigerator were barely cool.

    My Samsung refrigerator is defrosting everything in the freezer and refreezing it. The refrigerator portion is freezing ice on things in the bottom crisper yet my milk and cheese are hot. I had to throw out everything. The random thawing of things has happened for a long time I just thought I was mistaken until the ice cream was liquid and celery was frozen. Shelves have fallen in the freezer shortly after I had purchased. Thought they were in wrong places etc etc. now I have ice cream frozen in the bottom of the freezer and no ice and hot at the top of it. The water wont dispense now either. The fan is making noise and the top of the fridge is warm then cool. This is crazy. Milk eggs all the stuff were supposed to keep cold or thawing of the freezer and refreezing meat etc isnt safe. How many times have I been sick and it was just food poisoning. Yes its out of warranty. I also had a dryer of theirs almost burn my house. No more. This needs to be addressed. I work hard for my money
