No incident, no one hurt Made Aug 24, 2026, sent to the company Aug 31, 2026, published by CPSC Sep 15, 2026
The product, in the report: Keurig K-Supreme coffee machine
Letter to the manufacturer:
Dear Keurig Consumer Care & Safety Team,
I am writing to report a serious safety incident and thermal failure involving my Keurig brewer. I attempted to call your customer service line today, but was informed the phone system was down.
Incident Details: On the morning of Friday Aug 21, we went to make a cup of hot water with no pod using tap water and the unit immediately began pouring heavy smoke out of the bottom dispense area. The smoke escalated rapidly and began filling our kitchen. I managed to safely unplug the machine and carry it outside to our driveway, where smoke continued to accelerate heavily and flames visible inside the main housing took hold.
I had to pour multiple pitchers of water on the unit in the driveway to fully extinguish the fire and stop the smoke. Fortunately, there was no structural home damage beyond a strong burning plastic smell indoors, but this was a severe fire hazard. This unit was purchased from Keurig in 2022. Someone from your company called earlier today and told me it was not under warranty any longer and offered me a discount on a new unit. That was insulting considering what my family went through and what could have happened if this had progressed any quicker. I simply wanted a replacement unit and Im happy to return the damaged unit.
Unit Information:
Serial Number: 29.C11B.0035680 I still have the damaged unit stored outside in my possession. Please escalate this case to your Safety and Risk Management team immediately so we can arrange for the unit to be returned for engineering analysis and issue a replacement brewer

The product, in the report: Keurig combination machine k cup brewer and pot of cofffe brewer
We have had 6 replacement keurigs in the last year. The issue seems to be with heating element on the k cup side. At some point it will blow out hot steam around the k cup edges which is a huge safety concern for anyone near the machine. Accordingly , from there the machine will turn off and never turn back on ( needing replacement ) Keurig refuses to listen to our safety concerns and causes us issues when we have to go to a store to purchase a box to ship the item back first ( they will give us a prepaid label ) but we do need to purchase the box. They will inspect the machine before they send another. At this point we feel they are just providing refurbished items with the same issue ongoing but it is a safety concern

No incident, no one hurt Made May 25, 2026, sent to the company Jun 3, 2026, published by CPSC Jun 17, 2026
The product, in the report: Keurig K-Elite K90 single-serve coffee brewer, black in color, countertop kitchen appliance used to brew hot beverages using K-Cup pods. Has the water tank the is the entire left side of the Keurig.
During a routine descaling of my Keurig K-Elite K90 Serial No. 90.0571.0021988, I followed a recommended troubleshooting step of inverting the machine and tapping the bottom to release air bubbles causing a short pour on the 12 oz setting. A rusty metal binder clip fell out from the top chamber area of the machine the compartment that is accessed only to insert K-Cups during normal operation, not the pod insertion point itself. The machine itself was never disassembled or opened beyond this standard user-accessible compartment. The object was heavily corroded and rusted, indicating it had been inside the machine since manufacture. I do have binder clips in my home office, however they are kept in a separate area of the home and would have no access to the kitchen or this appliance. This machine has been used daily to brew beverages consumed by myself, family members, and visiting friends for an estimated 2-3 years or maybe more. The machine also developed a black bleed on the display screen, it is unknown whether the metal object may have contacted internal components, potentially contributing to this malfunction. I contacted Keurig customer service on May 16, 2026 and requested escalation the same day. A corporate representative called me back on May 18, 2026 and acknowledged the report but offered only a discount on a new machine and a package of K-Cups, with no acknowledgment of the food safety concern. No injury has been identified at this time, however the object was present and potentially corroding during an unknown duration of daily beverage preparation.

No one hurt Made Apr 26, 2026, sent to the company Apr 30, 2026, published by CPSC May 14, 2026
The product, in the report: K-Cafe Special Edition Single Serve Coffee, Latte & Cappuccino Maker
I was awakened by a very loud and unusual sound coming from the kitchen of my parents home. Upon looking toward the kitchen counter, I observed that the coffee maker was emitting a visible glow and flames, along with smoke and a strong burning odor. At the time of the incident, I was sleeping on the couch in close proximity to the kitchen, which allowed me to notice the situation quickly. I am concerned about what might have occurred had no one been nearby to respond. The coffee maker was plugged directly into a wall outlet but was powered off at the time of the incident. It had last been used earlier in the afternoon on April 25, 2026. There had been no prior issues with the machine, including no unusual smells, malfunctions, or signs of overheating. I immediately woke my parents. My mother unplugged the unit, at which point the flames subsided. However, the machine continued to emit smoke and a strong odor. We then moved the coffee maker outside the home to prevent further risk. No other items on the kitchen counter ignited, and there was no visible spread of the fire beyond the coffee maker itself. However, there was a noticeable area of burn residue left on the countertop surface directly beneath the machine. No fire extinguisher was used, and the fire department was not contacted. There were no physical injuries, though the smoke produced a strong and lingering odor throughout the home. The coffee maker is a Keurig K Cafe Special Edition Single Serve Coffee, Latte and Cappuccino Maker, purchased on May 5, 2020. The serial number is 84.2279.0175673. The unit remains in our possession, and photographs of the damage are available. We also have a copy of the original purchase receipt, which was located in my mothers email records. The coffee maker was plugged directly into a wall outlet, and there are no known electrical issues in the home.

The product, in the report: Keurig k cafe coffee/latte maker. Grey with a clear plastic water reservoir and a heating/frothing element for warming and frothing milk
Our Keurig coffee maker was plugged in but not in use when we heard crackling and a popping sound. A strong electrical burning smell followed, and the machine left a charred mark on both the countertop and the bottom of the unit. The device appears to have experienced an internal electrical failure while idle.

The product, in the report: Keurig K-Mini single serve coffee maker, army green, serial number 21B.121N.MX898FD
We purchased a Keurig coffeemaker at Walmart in Murray, KY on July 4, 2025, and registered it online on the day of purchase.
Less than a month later the machine wouldn’t brew and began to dump boiling hot water out the bottom and onto our counters while still plugged in, which is both a burn and a shock hazard making the product unsafe. Luckily we were able to unplug the machine before anyone was injured. Since the machine was unusable we decided to file for the one year warranty we had signed up for when registering the product. I called the company and was told by the agent that I could use a duplicate receipt from the Murray Walmart as proof of purchase, so I drove the 60 mile round trip to Walmart to generate the receipt.
We submitted the documentation as required and were rejected via a form email - probably no live person even reviewed the claim. My guess is the company is implementing cost cutting measures by refusing to honor warranty even when they’ve sold a dangerous product. They should be focusing on getting these dangerous items off the market instead of telling consumers they’re stuck with something that might shock or injure someone. There’s a post on the Keurig [REDACTED] saying they had the same problem with their machine, so I wonder if this company sold a large number of these unsafe products.

The product, in the report: Black Keurig duo coffee maker
I was making my morning cup of coffee on my duo Keurig coffee maker as i do every morning. I noticed it made a weird sound but didnt think anything of it, as i walked to the coffee maker i heard a weird sizzle sound come from the pot side, that stuck me off since I did not use the lost side at all, and thats when i noticed my coffee was only half brewed and the machine was off. So me being curious I lifted the lid to the k-cup holder and once I lifted it exploded coffee and water all over my chest and chin, I screamed in pain and such shock of what just even happened. I ran to wake my husband to help me as I was in awful pain, crying not able to get the coffee grinds off my burns for days.

The product, in the report: Keurig K-Duo Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker, it is the carafe that is the safety risk, it leaks where the glass carafe meets the pour spout. If you didnt expect it would be easy to scald someone with the hot coffee.
Keurig Coffee K-Duo Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker, the carafe leaks a moderate amount from the spout when you pour. I contacted Keurig, they sent a replacement carafe 3 times, the replacements also leak, the coffee is hot and capable of burning someone if spilled on them. I used it at home for personal use, no injuries, but they are possible. There are multiple reports of this same problem on social media sites like [REDACTED].

Keurig K-Duo Essential s 5000 coffee maker pod area does not fully close during brewing process creating a burn hazard
UPDATED ON 6/3/2024: [I have in good faith tried to resolve the defective Keurig K-Duo Essentials 5000 issue by asking for a voucher to be used for a safer unit. I have made 8 attempts to resolve this issue amicably by sending back the unit but every time I call text or chat they cut me off.
I dispute [REDACTED] Keurigs claim that I supplied inaccurate or false information and wish to proceed Further with the CPSC in disputing Keurig response. I have the unit and the CPC is welcome to examine it.
Evidently Keurig [REDACTED] considers it to be a libelous crime when a consumer files a legitimate CPSC safety concern.
Hopefully they will in the future be less blasé regarding legitimate potential safety concerns and pay more attention to protecting their customer base when there is a safety concern.

The product, in the report: Keurig K-Slim +Iced Single Serve Coffee Maker
I purchased the Keurig K-Slim + Iced Single Serve Coffee Maker from Amazon.com. The very first time that I took it out of the package, after following the initial setup instructions, I attempted the brew over ice feature, using a Keurig branded K-cup coffee pod.
The machine burst into smoke, following which it produced a very small amount of what appeared to be coffee, then turned off.
I tried once more to make sure it was not a malfunction, and the same result occurred, with significantly more smoke. This was definitively smoke, not steam.
I immediately unplugged the unit and contacted customer support. Customer support, despite telling me this was an emergency, rerouted my call several times and repeatedly told me that all staff were busy and that they could not take my call.
I sent this message to your attention while on hold to Keurigs specialist team and as of 7:01pm EST, I am still on hold with them, having not been given any indication as to how to proceed, despite the confirmation that this situation is indeed an emergency.

The product, in the report: Keurig K155 Coffee Maker
The machine had been not brewing full cups of coffee so I purchased the Keurig descaling solution to descale it. I followed all instructions, and the machine still failed to brew cups of coffee. I then unplugged and drained the machine using the two drain tubes in the back, and then refilled the reservoir with the descaling solution to descale again. When I turned on the unit to descale once more, it indicated “heating” on the display screen. Not after long, i noticed smoke being emitted from what I would call the overflow nozzle, a small rubber dump tube into the top of the reservoir. I then quickly unplugged the machine and brought it outside, not before it filled the office with a toxic smoke, presumably caused by the inside of the boiler burning off.
If I had not been attentive to the unit, this could have easily caught our break room on fire, if not our entire building.
We have attempted to contact the manufacturer, but they are unwilling to resolve the issue amicably. We believe this machine is unsafe, and has the potential to cause bodily injury and property damage.
We would like to lodge a formal complaint into this unit due to the issue above, and the company’s lack of concern for the safety of their consumers.

The product, in the report: Keurig K-Supreme Plus Single Serve Coffee Maker
I was trying to make a cup of coffee with my Keurig K-Supreme Plus.I heard a crack sound and looked back when I saw steam rising from the unit. I unplugged it and let it cool off. I also checked to make sure that the water reservoir was properly installed. Trying it again, about 5 seconds after pressing the start button, it tripped my GFCI. I did smell a slight burning smell. I took the unit outside to cool off and tossed it away. This is the third Keurig of this model to have done this to me in the last 2 years. I contacted Keurig by email to report the issue about a month ago and am still waiting for a response. In the meantime, I bought another coffee maker of a different brand. I sincerely hope that no one’s house burns down from this defective coffee maker.

The product, in the report: Keurig K-Supreme Plus C Single Serve Coffee Maker currently being sold by Costco online
My wife cut herself from the exposed sharp “teeth” that are on the K-Cup lid of the Keurig K-Supreme Plus C Single Serve Coffee Maker. These teeth (which puncture the K-Cups) are on the lid of the cup opening and are exposed whenever you open the lid to insert or remove a K-Cup. This particular Keurig model was bought online at Costco. Other Keurig models do NOT have the puncture teeth exposed. I can upload photos of this model, which is currently being sold by Costco at https://www.costco.com/keurig-k-supreme-plus-c-single-serve-coffee-maker%2c-with-15-k-cup-pods.product.100675784.html.

The product, in the report: A combination single-serve (pod) hot beverage brewer AND standard carafe-style coffee maker. This model uses a stainless steel carafe with a screw-on lid, the genesis of the dangerous condition. Keurig K-Duo Plus Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker
This message concerns my Keurig coffee make model K-Duo Plus 5200.
I nearly swallowed several small, EXTREMELY sharp plastic pieces which were in my coffee. Investigation revealed they were parts of the threads from both the screw-on lid and inner mating section of the stainless steel carafe (see pictures). All missing pieces are accounted for and are available for review. Clearly, I cannot use this to make pots of coffee until I receive a new steel pot. However, I am concerned that others may be similarly situated. The pot did not fall or experience any abrupt contact with any object; the threads just came apart into my coffee!

We have a Keurig K-Duo Plus coffee maker, which is about 1.5 years old. The compartment in which you insert the k-cup pod has a lid on a spring with a very sharp point embedded in it, which punctures the pod when it is closed. When not in use, the lid is supposed to stay in the closed position to keep from getting hurt by the point. The catch to the lid on our coffee maker is no longer working...it does not keep the lid closed when not in use, creating a huge safety issue as we work around the kitchen near the coffee maker. I called Keurig and they said that since it is more than 1 year old (we purchased it in Oct 2019 but the catch stopped working several months ago) they won’t fix it or replace it...just offered us a coupon for 20% off a replacement (this unit cost $200!). They didn’t indicate if there is a part that can be replaced, or whatever.

I purchased a Keurig K Duo coffee maker in December 2019. After only a month of use, the carafe started leaking when pouring. Keurig replaced this under warranty. After about another two months of use the carafe began leaking again from the plastic ring upon pouring. After calling again, Keurig agreed to replace my brewer with another model that has a thermal carafe. I was appreciative of this gesture and am happy with this new product. My complaint is that the Keurig has not publicly acknowledged the design flaw and RECALLED the product. In fact to this day this product and the replacement carafes are still available for sale. Leaking hot coffee is a significant safety and property damage problem. I DEMAND THAT THIS PRODUCT BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET IMMEDIATELY!@!

If there is a manufacturing defect in the heating unit and water comes in contact with the power side of the electrical circuit the liquid becomes energized and represents a high voltage shock condition.

On 06.05.18 our apartment was totaled due to a fire in the kitchen originating from the Keurig. The fire department found us not at fault but stated the origin was the Keurig. We left it plugged in, as most normal people do. It was used once at 430 in the am and again circa 8 am and turned off. No one was home and it wasn’t until circa 9 or so that I received a message from my apartment manager stating the unit was on fire. By the time one of us could get there, the fire department was already in the unit and had just finished spraying it down. Fire would not let us up until it was cleared and they brought what was left of the Keurig out via axe (still smoldering) and placed it into a sealed evidence box once it was cooled off. The fire marshall’s report stated that the point of origin was, in fact, the keurig (listed as coffemaker/tea pot on the general fire report form). We lost our beloved pet due to this fire. We did nothing wrong but use this device properly as intended.

The product, in the report: B31 Keurig Mini Brewer
I received a Keurig MiniBrewe as a gift. I had only used it for a few months when it began to “spit” water. I was burned, however, not severely several times and put the machine away, thinking I would take it back to the store, I never did. Recently I came across this item when doing some cleaning. I have since learned that a recall has been issued for this product. It has well been over the return policy for the store I bought it from. I just have a question as to what, if anything, can be done to get this fixed or replaced.

This has happen on several occasions with June 16 being the last, I notified Keurig via their website and have not received a reply.

I was making a cup of coffee using my Keurig B31 coffee maker. While I was waiting for it to brew it just kinda exploded and sprayed hot coffee grounds and hot water all over me, the wall and the floor. I got burned in the spots it hit me but wasn’t seriously injured. After that incident it stopped working. It doesn’t brew a cup of coffee and the power does not even come on. I didn’t know if it has a fuse that needs to be changed. I didn’t know that it could cause a safety concern until it presented itself with one.

The product, in the report: Keurig Single Cup Brewer Model B40
I was burnt by the hot water spurting from brewer leaking on countertop today. I notified Keurig and inquired if brewer was recalled because when I told my daughter what happened this morning, she stated a coworker told her her Keurig had been recalled. When I contacted Keurig today, I inquired as to why wasn’t I ever contacted regarding potential issues and a recall. Keurig stated my brewer was not recalled. I provided my information and stated I had contacted them numerous times in past few years and each time I was accused of overfilling water reservoir too high, using brewer to much, or nit descaling. I told her the water spurting out from machine burnt me and she states “the recall was years ago”. I then responded “I called you when recall was announced & was told my brewer was fine” and informed her that “I called 8 or 9 times after when brewer didn’t brew 6oz or 8oz, brewed too hot, leaked, and spurted hot water as brewing”. Keurigs response was your brewer wasn’t recalled. Prior to todays call, I had contacted Keurig numerous times regarding my Keurig brewer leaking, spurting hot water, brewing really hot water, not brewing the correct amount (6oz/8oz) over the past few years. On each and every occasion Keurig stated my brewer was fine. They stated it was my overuse, my not descaling, or my overfilling water reservoir. When my brewer first leaked a small amount if water (not hot), I called Keurig and was told to descale the brewer. I stated I follow the instructions to descale every 3-6 months and was told if used daily descale every 3 months. I have continued to follow the recommended descaling every 3 months since. The problem slowly got worse and I would call Keurig & tell them its spurting hot water Keurig stated that I didn’t clean it properly. I informed them I follow their instructions completely and inquired if my brewer was recalled. Keurig stated “no”; I asked if anyone else is having problems like mine they stated “no”. Every time I called Keurig, I was told it was my fault, “too much water in reservoir” “have an electrician check my outlets” (I did and my outlets have no short or faulty currents and electrician told me that I have a safety feature for outlet that shuts off power to that outlet to prevent fires/shocks etc). So the extremely hot water is the brewer not me or my electricity. I called Keurig again and again as the leaking and spurting hot water slowly worsened. Burning your tongue on a hot cup of coffee happens I know cause I own a Keurig that brews about 170-180degrees F (yep I measured the temp & Keurig has told me thats the a normal temp) but getting scalded by hot water leaking/spurting from brewer is not normal despite what Keurig said.

I was making a cup of coffee for my grandma, I was standing in front of the machine when the top opened and sprayed my chest with with hot water, giving me 2nd degree burns. Since this product is not under recall like the other k 10 mini kurig coffee makers, but yet the same make ( sn 31.2004.1376830) ? Why can kurig still make and sell these coffee makers and not fix the problem . I only found out about the recalls from my mother, who was talking to a co-worker, about what happened to me. The co-worker was the person who informed my mother about the kurig recalls. I believe kurig should have to recall all of these coffee makers, before someone else gets burned.

The product, in the report: Keurig 2.0
This report is regarding a recent model Keurig 2.0 coffee maker product.
The design of the Keurig 2.0 coffee maker involves two thin hollow metal tubes that water passes in and out of the kcup through. These tubes have a tendency to clog resulting in building pressure inside the kcup. When the pressure reaches to great of force, the coffee maker begins spraying scolding water and scolding coffee grounds out all sides, several feet in distance.
In my case, no injuries resulting however had I been standing next to the product it would have resulted in burns.
I have followed all cleaning instructions, never used off brand kcup items in the brewer, nor has the machine ever been misused. A quick check of the web reveals this is well known problem with other consumers having been burned.

The product was not being used and was sitting on the kitchen counter top. I was cleaning my counter top next to the coffeemaker when I got too close to the machine and the sharp corner of the left side sliced a one inch long piece of skin from my pinky finger. I had no idea the side of the machine had such a sharp edge on it until I got cut. I literally saw my skin peel off like a slice of cheese and it was stuck to the machine.
I quickly held the wound closed as I started bleeding and ran my finger beneath cold water while my husband was able to grab a band-aid and antibiotic ointment.

The product, in the report: Keurig mini brewing system serial #31.3002.0647779
I called Keurig Green Mountain today report an incident with my mini brewing system. Basically, if I had not walked back into my office while the machine was malfunctioning, I think the office would have been burned down. The motor continued when there wasn’t any water left in the reservoir; it kept “brewing” but started to smell like an electrical motor does when it goes haywire. I unplugged it and at that time, the spewing of hot steam and water came out like the reports said online, and it started to really stink as though all the wiring had melted inside the unit. 5 hours later it still smells in my office.
After discussing this with customer service rep #1 on call #1 took all my information for a rebate coupon to be mailed so I can go purchase another. However, the serial # I gave her off my machine wasn’t part of the recall so she couldn’t help any further, and then gave me me another # to call. 1.866.901.2739.
Call #2 today to customer service rep [REDACTED] at this number, In the end, she said no, sorry the best they could do was to give me a discounted price of $79.99 and I would have to purchase another one, because of the warranty expiration. Are you KIDDING?? No replacement of this unit, serial #31.3002.0647779. This could have gone horribly wrong. I can’t believe Keuring won’t stand by their products and do right by their customers. I could have been burned in the face or worse, burned the office down.

My 3 year old daughter likes to stand on a stool and watch it, so she was (I was cleaning the breakfast bar) and all of a sudden I heard this noise like a steam explosion and she started screaming. I turned and she, as well as the refrigerator and the counter, was covered with coffee grounds. The Keurig had exploded hot water and coffee grounds! She did have red marks from the water, but thankfully they went away and she was not injured. Several other important nearby documents were ruined, however, including a vehicle title and some paperwork for my husband’s business.

The product, in the report: Electric coffee maker
We purchased a new Keurig coffee maker, from a local store, on 12/21/15. The product was first used on 12/25/15 and was used once a day until 3/3/16. One week prior to the incident, there was a faint smell of something burning in the house, but the problem could not be pinpointed. On the morning of March 3rd, the Keurig coffee maker would not turn on. As the machine was about to be unplugged, it was noted that the end of the power cord was melted. After unplugging the cord, it was obvious that there was burning that had occurred. The outlet itself had a black burn mark, and the wires behind the outlet were burned back approximately 3 inches. It was at that time that I did an internet search on Keurig and found that we were not the first to experience this issue. Keurig was notified immediately of the defect. They claimed they had no prior knowledge of this ever happening with one of their machines and would have FedEx to my home within the hour to pick up the defective machine; this is where red flags went up. There are dozens of posts regarding this unit starting fires, some in which the entire house burned. There are even more posts from customers that are on their 5th and 6th Keurig coffee makers because they stop working. Keurig knows there is an issue, and it’s a serious safety issue, yet their response is to sweep it under the rug, collect the defective machine and send the customer a new one in hopes that they will keep their mouth shut. Well, that does not work for me. If a company is knowingly putting people in harms way and refusing to do anything about it, I will make sure the proper people know. They did tell me they were going to send an engineer to my home to inspect the machine and outlet, but as the scheduled day approached, they changed their minds. We are now at a stand still, and in the meantime, millions of people have these units in their homes and offices and have no idea that they could potentially be in danger of losing everything. These machines are defective and need to be recalled before someone gets hurt.

On September 27, 2015, my daughter, then age 17, prepared a cup of coffee using a Keurig MINI Plus Brewing system purchased by her grandmother in March 2015. When brewing was complete, she went to take the cup sitting on the base of the unit, the base dislodged, the unit shook, and hot liquid from the brewer and the cup spilled onto her hand. The exposure to the heated liquid was a fraction of second. Yet, the result was a third-degree burn to her hand. The liquid was excessively hot. I have attached photographs taken over the weeks following the incident. She has a permanent scar on her hand.

The product, in the report: Red single cup brewer
Personal use, at work, followed directions exactly and water poured out onto the cup plate before brewing began. Doesn’t happen all the time, but can’t determine why or when. Has happened maybe 10 times. Has ruined work related materials. Really love it and my bigger one at home. Is this possibly also due to the recall of spilled hot water? Most recent today.

The product, in the report: electric, counter-top, mini coffee maker
The consumer said that when the coffee maker is used, some of the coffee will spew out of the side, where the K-Cup is held. Coffee also drips out of the area that it is supposed to at the same time. The consumer said that the coffee burned her finger on 1 occasion, but she applied burn ointment to the affected area and did not need medical care.
The consumer said that she cleaned the coffee maker per the manufacturer’s instructions, because she thought that it might be clogged, but it did not solve the problem. The problem started sometime during the summer of 2015.
The consumer uses the coffee maker daily, with caution.
The coffee makers serial number appeared to be outside the range of the ones in CPSC Recall# 15-054.

The product, in the report: Black Keurig Mini K10
Unit started out as leaking hot water when being filled and then progressed to actually appearing to explode on two occasions. I was trying to brew my normal coffee and did everything as normal, I put the K-cup in and then the next thing I knew I heard something spraying and there was hot water and coffee grounds spraying out of the area where the K-cup is inserted. When I opened it up after it cooled off there was coffee grounds all over the kitchen counter, wall and immediate are surrounding the unit. The K-cup itself had a much larger than normal sized hole and had the appearance that it had blown up during brewing.

Have tried 3 different GFI units.
Cannon determine if it happens when unit is off BECAUSE the end result is always the same, the coffee maker is found in the OFF state and the GFI has blown.
I see on the web that many others have this problem.
Therefore it strikes me as a safety issue.

The product, in the report: Keurig B10 mini coffeemaker
Keurig issued recall kits to retrofit brewers so consumer could install to prevent burns. My brewer is now exhibiting the behavior after retrofit.
To add to the “risk of harm”: the coffee machine intermittently sprays hot water, steam, and coffee grounds around the appliance. Although I have not been burned, any consumer in the vacinity of the appliance when it malfunctions, is at great risk of steam burns/scalding. Again, this is after the retrofit to the appliance for the very same problem.

The product, in the report: Keurig Mini Brewer
As I was brewing a cup of coffee on my Keurig Mini Brewer, I noticed scolding hot water leaking through the bottom of the machine. I asked my sister if she was experiencing the same issue on her unit. We both received them from our parents Christmas 2013. I seen how there was a recall for them end of this past year and wanted to report mine as well.

The product, in the report: Keurig single cup brew cup
Have called to try to get a replacement for the product because it was not working properly. I would pour water in and it would not come out. I would try to put in more water and it would only come halfway out. I tried to tell Keurig this and they told me to clean it. I did everything that they told me to do and nothing worked. I was then trying to yet again get it to work, and when I did get it to come out it would be extremely hot and still a half a cup.

The product, in the report: Keurig coffee maker
I use my Keurig K45 Brewer on a daily basis to make a cup of coffee in the morning. I noticed my first K45 brewer was splattering coffee around the beginning of January 2015, when I moved the coffee maker next to the wall of my dorm room. I called Keurig and told them the situation. Because my first brewer was under warranty, they sent me another K45 model for free.
My second K45 brewer is doing the same thing. I’ve spent hours on the phone with Keurig’s customer service trying to troubleshoot this issue and there has so far been no solution.
I have a hard time thinking that this is a fluke with both of my brewers, especially after the Keurig Mini Plus brewer being recalled for something similar. This is a huge safety issue as people can be burnt by the splattering coffee since the Keurig brews at 192 degrees Fahrenheit according to Keurig.com’s FAQ section. This product needs to be recalled before someone gets hurt.
