    The product, in the report: The Fisher-Price Deluxe On-The-Go Projection Dome (Product#: HLV76) is a portable bassinet intended for newborn use and has a heavy projector that hangs in the center, directly over the baby.

    When we used our Fisher-Price Deluxe On-The-Go Projection Dome (Product#: HLV76) for the first time with our 2 month old baby the heavy projection piece, that hangs directly over the center of the baby, was inadvertently released, causing it to fall on our baby. The projector is held on by a single plastic pin that is easily released by barely pressing an unmarked button on the opposite side of the music/lights controls, where an adult hand naturally rests. The button is also not mentioned anywhere in the manual. The registration card also has the incorrect model number on it, referencing the model with the soft foam hanging pieces instead of the heavy projector. This heavy piece can very easily be accidently released by someone with adult hands, or an older sibling trying to help and should be removed from use! Luckily it fell flatly in the center of his chest. He had an immediate red mark where it it him and was distraught but was breathing normally and also not reacting to pressure on his ribs where it hit him so we called his pediatrician who advised us that his ribs were likely not broken and we brought him in for a checkup the following morning. If it were to have fallen slightly sideways and/or hit him in the face the result would have been much worse.

    The product comes with [REDACTED] capabilities that allow it to be connected to an app.

    Around 7:00pm in the evening, the consumer placed her son into the bassinet and turned on the [REDACTED] feature, along with the app. Immediately, her 10-day-old son began crying and became unresponsive. the son was breathing, but she could not wake him.

    The consumer called 911. The police arrived first and were unable to wake her son, but the EMT’s arrived shortly afterwards and were able to wake him up. The son never stopped breathing.

    The consumer discontinued use of the product after this incident and returned it to the retailer for a refund.

    The son has had numerous tests performed on him, including MRI’s, scans, and x-rays, but he has been fine since that incident.

The products being used are the sleeper rockers that have been recalled there have been death and injury occurred with this product and they’re selling two of them on [REDACTED] I suggested that they should not but they did not take the post down.

    I am a perinatal registered nurse care manager and do safe sleep education. I was shopping at Value Village in Mooresville, NC and there was a Fisher Price Rock N’ Play on the floor for sale. I took pictures and brought them to the cashier who told me there was nobody to speak to as everyone was leaving, then she attempted to page a manager. A woman came to the front who was leaving and the cashier called to her and informed her I was looking to speak with a manager. She came over to me identifying herself as a manager and I said brought my pictures up to the register and informed the cashier of the recall and she paged a manager overhead. Manager came up and stated she is about to leave, I informed her the RNP was on the floor & has been recalled due to infant fatalities. She said if I take it off the floor it will make you feel better about it but technically once it’s donated we can do whatever we want with it. I said of course I’d feel better, since babies have died in this product and it is a recalled product. She told me that the parents let the babies sleep in them, they ruined a great product for everyone. I stated that babies have been injured or died after being in it a very short time, including a family I knew personally. She said uh-huh and walked out the door for the day leaving the item on the floor. She did not look at my pictures to see which item I was referring to. I went past the next day and it was still there.

    My son was strapped into his rock n play, and he started choking out of no where. I ran over, unbuckled him, and performed infant CPR. Thankfully he made a recovery and is fine now. There was nothing in the rock n play that could’ve been a choking hazard, so the only possibility in my mind is positional asphyxiation. Which I’m seeing more and more deaths reported because of the rock n play for that exact reason, so I wanted to make a report to try and save someone else heartache, if possible.

    I got a rock n play for my daughter in 2017, and although she didn’t roll over(many times it was a “almost”, the rock n play was really unstable even with the seat belt on the baby. Then, after my second baby was born in 2019, I saw the alert that CPSC and Fisher-Price Were warning Consumers About Fisher-Price Rock ‘N Play Due to Reports of Death When Infants Roll Over in the Product (32 deaths specifically). I still have the product here in my house, and since it’s NOT safe for neither of my children or other, I would like to return it to the right place.

    My son [redacted] was asleep on 5/10/2016 and 5/11/2016 when he stopped breathing while sleeping on the rock and play by fisher price. The first time on 5/10/16 I heard him struggle and then stop breathing I woke up gave him CPR and took him to the ER. They said it was a fluke he was fine it would never happen again. However it did happen again the next night, I took him to VCU where he was admitted for an ALTE. His neurologist told me don’t lay him in that sleeper again, and I did not. I did not ever realize until years later that it was related to the rock and play.

    (05/31/2018) The child had a doctor’s appointment on the 29th of May, 2018. The child was fussy after the appointment. On the 30th, the father administered [REDACTED]. The father placed the child in the Fisher-Price Newborn Sleeper at 10 p. m. The child was wrapped in a blanket.

    The next morning the father awoke and noticed that the child had blood around his nose. 911 was called. The child was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center. The child was admitted.

    My grandson was an infant when we used this for him. It was blue and we could never get him situated properly in the safety belt. This prompted close watch on him while using the sleeper. He rolled out of the sleeper twice and luckily hit the carpet. We stopped using the sleeper and bought a different brand.

    The Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Bassinet almost suffocated my daughter. She is within the weight limit and the item was used properly. The design makes no sense for babies, the whole thing is made of breathable mesh but they put a very large, unbreathable warning label where the babies head goes. I didn’t think about how dangerous it could be at first until my baby started moving in the middle of the night and got herself into a position where her face was against the tag and she was struggling to breath. Luckily, the bassinet was in the room with me so I heard her struggling and got her out of the dangerous position before something bad happened. I just want to make sure it never happens to a baby that isn’t being supervised cause it could kill a baby. This design is ridiculously dangerous

    My daughter was 4 months old. She was swaddled on a Saturday night getting ready to fall asleep. I brought her upstairs into my bedroom to listen to music while she continued to fall asleep. We did this every night. I placed her in the rock and play and she sat in there with her eyes closed. I went down stairs to finish a movie with the rest of the kids. I came up about a half hour later and found her face down in the rock and play bent in half. She had flipped over and her face was where the butt normally sits. I lifted her up and she had mucous pouring from her mouth and nose and was blue with no pulse or heart beat. I started CPR immediately while my sister called 911. After about 2 minutes of compression she made a whimpering noise. Compression and respiratory resuscitation continues for 2 more minutes till paramedics came. When they arrived she was crying and had a weak pulse. She was immediately transferred to children’s hospital and was admitted for 4 days under close monitoring. Since then, her growth has been slow and has had some speech and hearing delays that may or may not have been directly related to the suffocation.

    My son was resting in his rock n play and he was buckled into it and my husband was in the room right next to where he was and continued checking in on him. After I told my husband I got a weird feeling to check on him he was taking longer then he should to come out so I started to get a pit in my stomach. He walked over to me with my little boy frail in his arms telling me he’s okay he’s okay (knowing he wasn’t okay) is screaming saying he’s not okay he’s not. Give him to me! It was that moment my husband handed me my cold lifeless sweet baby boys frail body as our family is screaming to call 911. What felt like the longest three minutes of my life which in reality were so fast thankfully to how close paramedics were , as police , firetrucks and ambulance filled the street and rushed in to work on my perfect baby boy. Tears and emotions and screaming in pain as the paramedics are working on getting him oxygen and a pulse. The fear in my three year old daughter and 1.5 year old sons eyes as they saw what was happening to their brother and the words I will never forget when my three year old asked if her brother was dead. We were rushed over to the hospital where they picked, pocked and worked on my son, blowing veins and not being able to get an iv in. Watching them drill a rod into his knee to get the iv in. The cold dark hospital as I didn’t know if I was ever going to see my little boy again, was I ever going to see him turn one, what was I gunna do without my baby let alone tell his siblings. After working on him and seeing that he needed to be seen by a specialist and sent to the icu at another hospital. Another long ambulance ride where we were finally seeing him open his eyes and look at me with a little more life. The Dr. Came in to tell us, “he doesn’t know how he survived this, and if it was even 30 seconds to a minute longer then he wouldn’t be here.” Do you know what it feels like hearing that! Do you know the feeling of not knowing if my son was gunna have permanent brain damage from the loss of oxygen. He had turned in his rock n play and was face down inthe part where their butt goes and couldn’t get out. He couldn’t breath, no cries were ever being heard as he was slowly being smothered in his rock n play. These things are [REDACTED]. This is not safe! My son wasn’t even the age to roll over on his own and he wasn’t one who was rolling over yet. I trusted what I read from the company about this being a safe sleeper. [REDACTED]! We never let our son actually sleep in this, This was just where he was taking a small rest. I can sure as hell let you know if I lost my son to this rock n play you would never hear the end of it from me. I cringe and break down in tears for those parents who have lost their children to these!!! I almost did!!! What are you gunna do about this? Can you fix the pain I see in my sons eyes and the memories and words il never forget. Everytime my son hears an ambulance siren he just cries. Do you know what it’s like seeing that he can remember exactly what happened to him at such a young age. I have plenty of pictures of him in the hospital if you would like to see

    I saw that the Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper has now been recalled. Thank goodness. But I still wanted to report that my son suffered because of this product. He developed Torticulis and plagiocephaly due to using this product, even though we used it exactly as it was advised in the instructions. He had to have many months of physical therapy to get his neck and body movements corrected. Luckily, his head rounded back out on its own. I wrote to Fisher Price at the time, and they assured me that the product was safe and that it was not their product that caused this problem. I have no doubt that it was. (I do think that they reimbursed me for the product though, but took no responsibility for the problems my son had developed.) I think if you investigate this, you will find that not only were there Fatalities, but there were a large number of children who had these other issues as well. I think a press release needs to include these facts. My child was born in 2013. We only used the product for a few months before the problems developed (if my memory serves me correctly). At the time, I saw other mothers online complaining of the same thing. Please investigate this!

    I purchased it in 2015 for my daughter without any issues. When I had my son in 2017 he loved it just as much as she did One night he had fallen asleep in it after a very fussy day so I just took it in the bedroom with me. He was strapped in! I woke up by what had to be the grace of god to my son flipped over and stuck. I panicked as I tried to undo the belt and free him. By time I got him up he was luckily still breathing but was all blue from struggling to breathe. From that moment on he was never allowed to sleep in it only to play while I was watching him.

    This past Friday April 5th, 2019 my 5 month old son was sleeping in this Fisher Price Rock n play and luckily his dad found him because he was face down and could not roll over to his back. He is able to roll over so he was able to get into this position but was Not able to get out of it. He was fine, luckily, but it scared the hell out of us, as it should. I vowed to never use it again, but the weekend was nice, and Sunday I had him in it on the porch. This time I buckled him in, thinking if he couldn’t roll over then he would be fine. As I stepped away to talk to the neighbor, he woke up and rolled over to where he was on his right shoulder and face down AGAIN.

    This time, we have put this rocker away and never are going to use it or recommend it to anyone. This product should be recalled after the first death. Those deaths are a product of an unfortunate design flaw that needs to either be corrected somehow safely or Recalled.

    After going to work that day, I got home from work Friday evening to see on the news about 10 infant deaths have been reported but these are still on the market. And the worse thing is people are STILL using them, and like the parents of the 10 infants, find out the hardest way possible.

    I couldn’t imagine what the parents are going through and knowing other parents are still using these and not realizing the danger.

If infants are dying this product does not need to be passed as being safe. It is unsafe and needs to be taken off the market. As soon as possible.     Fisher-Price Premium Auto Rock ‘n Play Sleeper with SmartConnect sleeper had mold growing in between the hard plastic bottom and infant seat cushion. The product has been used for about 5 weeks and was only discovered when my infant made a mess and I needed to clean it for that reason. There was a growth of mold about the size of a hand and the plastic part of the sleeper was very wet once the cushion was removed. The cover was washed but the sleeper produces moisture whenever it is in use. I let it run without any padding in it for 2 hours and it was very wet when I looked back at it. This does not seem like it will be a one time occurrence and will make the machine a constant hazard to babies.

    I have the fisher price premium rock n play sleeper with smartconnect and there is a plastic seat like piece underneath the removable pad. I am having to take it off every other day because I discovered mold all over the back of the pad!! This is ridiculous the mold appeared after a week of using it. I called fisher price and all they want to do is send a new pad which doesnt solve the problem it just gives me an extra pad to exchange out. These are made for babies to sleep in yet they become a health risk!!! Y’all did a recall few years ago but all fisher price did was send out “washing instructions” which did bot solve the problem. My son is a preemie and if he ends up sick due to mold I will lose my cool. Something more needs to be done before a baby dies from mold on their sleeper! I do have pictures of my seat pad with mold all over it. I also own a disher price snug a puppy swing and it has the same issue! Please y’all do something so they have to actually fix the issue and not just sweep it under the rug!!

I have often noticed that there is always a lot of moisture between the insert of the bed and the plastic piece and now even when washed it smells like mold. This is not safe for my child and I would like a refund for the product as I now need to buy a new bed for her.

    After my infants exposure to mold under the Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleepers’ cover she developed respiratory issues, a cough, and rash . All the aforementioned symptoms were consistent with having been exposed to the mold and were directly linked. Once we found out that she had been exposed she wasn’t taken immediately to a medical professional who was able to verify our suspicions of the baby’s symptoms being associated with exposure to the mold. Upon discovery, use of the product ceased immediately.

    We will be seeking monetary compensation for the stress incurred, medical, product costs.

    This product was purchased at Burlington located 8320 S. Cicero Ave. Burbank, IL 60459 in April 2018. Federal law bars any person from selling products subject to a publicly-announced voluntary recall by a manufacturer or a mandatory recall ordered by the Commission.     We used the Fisher Price Auto Rock ‘n Play Sleeper from birth until our daughter was 8 weeks old. The product is marketed as a sleeper that your baby can sleep in for naps and at night. We used the rocker for both daytime naps and night time sleep. At 8 weeks old we noticed our daughter had developed a severe flat spot on her head. The pediatrician confirmed this at her two month doctor visit. We are now seeing a cranial specialist and will have to do two months of physical therapy. She may have to wear a helmet if the flat spot is not corrected with physical therapy. Doctors advise babies should sleep on a flat surface, such as a bassinet or crib, where the baby can move it’s head back and forth. The Rock ‘n Play sleeper caused my daughter, or at least contributed to her getting a flat head, as it limits the baby’s head movement. It should be recalled or the marketing should not state it safe for naps and nighttime sleep.

Additionally, I put a blanket underneath my daughter so that she is never sleeping directly on the cover of the Rock n Play. Today when I went to remove the cover to wash, I noticed a large amount of condensation, as well as a few spots of black-colored mold on the plastic seat. I will not use the Rock n Play anymore.     My 6 month old son was put down for a nap in the Fisher Price Rock n Play. During the time of his nap, he rolled over in the Rock N Play and silently died. The Rock N Play is sold as a sleeper and is marketed for “great overnight sleep”. My son was 18 pounds well under the limit of 25 pounds that the Rock N Play provides as a weight limit for use. An average 9 month old boy is 25 pounds, average for a girl is 12 months old at 25 pounds. Fisher Price has been notified of infant deaths due to their product and will still not recall it. This product can not be labeled as a sleeper or for “great overnight sleep”. My son was a beautiful, healthy baby and only died because of the Rock N Play and the false sense of security they provide with their false and UNSAFE claims of the Rock N Play being used for safe sleep. The only place for safe sleep for an infant is a flat surface. This death trap needs to be recalled and labeled as a SUPERVISED PLAY PRODUCT so no other family has to lose their child like I have.

    Would absolutely love to know why these fisher price sleepers ere recalled in 2013 and its now 2017. We have 2 of these and the baby sleeps in them because its where shes most comfortable at night. Last week with one of them we found mold growing on the cover material, we lifted the cloth cover and felt tons of moisture under it. We cleaned it and washed the material and have been using the other one since then. Just went to go lay her down on it and theirs fucking mold on the cloth cover. Like wtf. Im appalledand frankly very pissed off. I google it to see if anyonelse has had this issue and this pops up smh

    My son has been diagnosed with “Right Torticollis” and “Mild positional plagiocephaly.” He now has to have physical therapy to fix the tightening of his neck muscles on his right side. The physical therapist said that this is due to the way that gravity pulls the heavy infant head down while sleeping in the Fisher Price Rock & Play. He now favors turning his head to one side due to the tightening of the muscles and thus has developed a mild flat spot on the back-right side of his skull. My first son also used the Fisher Price Rock & Play sleeper and had SEVERE Brachycephaly; he had to have a helmet to correct the shape of his head from this. I had no idea at the time that the Rock & Play could cause Brachycephaly, plagiocephaly and torticollis or I would NEVER have used it for either son. We ended up paying $1,200 AFTER 80% insurance coverage of my first son’s helmet. FIsher Price should not market this Rock & Play as a safe infant sleeper due to the extensive medical issues that it can and does cause. I know that I am not alone in my frustration with this product-please see other reviews from Amazon and other verified retailers.

    I’ve owned this Rock N Play Sleeper for about 6 months now. We were about to throw it in the wash to freshen it up and found mold and mildew EVERYWHERE! I took a very concentrated clorox solution to it and it took the mildew/mold right off of it. I don’t know how long my daughter slept in this device with mildew growing in it. It makes me sick to think it could have caused breathing problems with her (since she snores anyway). Fisher Price needs to fix this problem!!
