The short answer
Record last released by Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing on Oct 29, 2026.
Each figure’s source sits beside it, in its section below.
What these words mean4
- Inspection (survey)
- A visit by state inspectors, often unannounced, who check a place against the rules it must meet. For nursing homes and other places Medicare pays, CMS calls these visits surveys: a standard survey of a nursing home comes at least every 15 months, and a complaint survey whenever a complaint calls for one. Source: CMS; 42 CFR 488.308.
- Deficiency, citation, violation
- What inspectors write up when a place didn’t meet a rule: the rule, what they saw, and when. CMS calls it a deficiency; states may say citation or violation. It is the inspectors’ finding, not a court’s, and the place is usually asked for a plan to correct it. Source: CMS, statement of deficiencies (Form CMS-2567); each state’s licensing agency.
- Licence status
- Whether the state’s licence lets the place operate now, in the state’s own words: licensed, on probation (allowed to keep operating on conditions, after problems), provisional, pending or expired. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.
- Capacity
- The most people the licence or certification lets the place care for at once: residents, children, beds or apartments, as the state counts them. It isn’t how many are there now. Source: Each state’s licensing agency.

| Date | What | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Sep 25, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: Substantiated | The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on August 17, 2026, regarding concerns of inaccurate attendance records, unauthorized pickup, and not being truthful with families. An investigation was conducted on August 24, 2026, which included an interview with Administrator #1 and Staff #1 and a review of attendance and meal records, authorized pickup information, video footage, and communications provided by the facility to families. This complaint is substantiated for inaccurate attendance records. Administrator #1 noted Parent #2 did not complete the correct sign-out process for Child #1 on August 14, 2026, so Child #1 was not signed out of the facility until 6:00 pm despite leaving earlier in the day. On August 17, 2026, attendance records were accurate in showing Child #1 was absent. An incorrect meal entry was identified and corrected after Parent #1 contacted the facility. Child #1 was not marked present on the CACFP meal count records on that date. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint regarding unauthorized pickup. Video footage and authorized pickup information confirmed Parent #2 and an authorized family member picked Child #1 up from the facility on August 14, 2026. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint regarding inaccurate information being provided to parents. Information obtained during the investigation showed the facility notified families of billing issues associated with the transition to a new family communication application, and Administrator #1 was not present during Child #1’s August 14, 2026, pickup and did not have the pick-up information available when contacted by Parent #1. |
| Apr 10, 2026 | OCCL Standards Complaint: No Evidence to Substantiate | The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on March 9, 2026, regarding failing to use appropriate behavior supports. Further concerns were later received regarding an unknown person allegedly visiting a child without parent knowledge, and water not being available to children as needed. An investigation began on March 10, 2026, and concluded on March 24, 2026. Based on the information obtained, there is no evidence to substantiate the allegation for failing to use appropriate behavior supports, as interviews, classroom observations, and related documentation indicated developmentally appropriate and positive behavior supports were used. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint for failing to make water available to children or an unknown person being permitted to visit a child without parent knowledge. LS #1 observed water was available to children at the visit and received documentation visitors to the center were observing staff and were accompanied qualified staff at all times. |

What the record doesn’t say
- Delaware doesn’t grade violations by severity, so read what was cited.
- Delaware’s open data lists a visit only when a violation was cited there, so visits that found nothing aren’t shown.
- Delaware publishes five years of reviews and complaints; this page shows the last three.
- Delaware doesn’t publish staffing levels or owners for individual providers.
- Delaware lists only the visits that found violations, so a provider with none listed may not have been visited at all: no count of violations is used to headline, filter or compare its providers.
