The product, in the report: One gallon sized red plastic gas can with removable non-bending black plastic pour spout.
The new non-vented plastic gas cans with the new type of spouts have the potential to result in serious harm or death to the user.
The way these cans have been designed one must hunch over the item you are attempting to fill putting your face right above the can. The spout mechanism is extremely awkward and takes two hands to pour. Today I was filling my chainsaw with one of these new cans which I had retrieved from my shed. It was a warm day and I did not notice that the plastic tank had swelled with the pressure of the expanding fumes in the un-vented tank. When I pressed the mechanism to pour, the pressure that was released cause gas to come forcefully out with such pressure that a great deal of gasoline splashed up on my face, eyes and shirtless torso. I blindly ran to my outdoor shower and doused my face and eyes with water. This was one of the scariest things that has ever happed to me. What a terrible terrible design and the fact that it is being forced on the public by governmental edict is maddening.
