No one hurt Made Jun 25, 2015, sent to the company Jul 6, 2015, published by CPSC Jul 27, 2015
The product, in the report: mr yellow caps are replacement gas can spout caps for blitz gas can self venting spouts.
I purchased 8 mr yellow cap replacement gas can caps on ebay. they are for blitz spouts. I tried all 8 on many blitz can spouts and they all leak significantly if the can is tipped. They are dangerous and someone is going to get hurt. I asked the company what they thought and they said they were only being sold as dust preventers. I have not had a problem with factory caps leaking.
The problem is that they do not warn people about this and you would not find out about the problem when the can tips over and there could be an explosion.
The company is aware of the leaking and this in inexcusable. It is only a matter of time before severe burns occur.
No fire has occurred for me as I tested the caps first and will not use them.
