The product, in the report: 5 gallon, plastic gas can
This is a thick, red plastic, injection moulded, gas can. The consumer was pouring gas in his car, when his hand felt cold. The plastic can is secured together at the seams and there is a split near the top portion, where the handle is located. The split is approximately 3” long.
The consumer was not injured, but the can definitely presents a safety hazard.
The consumer will contact the manufacturer and report his concerns to them.
88LZPP2AABA (EPA Code), is also written on the can.
