    ...and similar designs sold elsewhere!

    URGENT!!!!! THIS DESIGN IS UNSAFE!!!!!!!!!

Gasoline doesn’t empty, spills, poor vent and leaves a bomb in hot car.

On trip 5/28/15 I had older design and new design plastic gas cans.

1)Newer can had too short nozzle with can handle hitting fender so can would not empty.(I had to empty the newer design to the old can in order to empty resulting in more spillage.

2)Poor venting resulted in longer time to empty and spillage trying to get the vent to operate.

I will modify new gasoline can by drilling hole for venting at the back of the handle(plugging with a bolt) and adding a nozzle extension.

These modifications will result in three new safety concerns.

1.Leaks at the drilled hole in storage. 2.Possible gas contamination by plastic shavings. 3.Leaks at the nozzle extension when emptying.

The new gasoline can is junk without modifications so I am sure other people are doing the same thing.

The older design may not be ideal but this new design is pure junk!
