The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 1, 2024, sent to the company Mar 6, 2024, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2024

The product, in the report: ExtremePowerUS portable 14 gallon gasoline tank with a pump and dispensing system. It was used to refuel a boat dockside.

The threaded opening of this ExtremePowerUS 14 gallon portable fuel tank became disconnected from the tank despite being a molded portion of the tank. This occurred when attempting to remove the gas cap from the opening. The gas cap to tank fitting had been problematic since buying the tank in December of 2021 through Amazon. This contributed to a spill that fortunately did not result in a fire.

XtremepowerUS 12 Volt DC 20GPM Gasoline Fuel Transfer Pump Self-Priming Kerosene Extractor Pump with Nozzle Kit and Hose. This item should be deemed faulty and defective as it gathers debris in the filter and begins leaking outside of the tank. The leakage within the bed of any vehicle could cause a fire hazard.
