The product, in the report: Zinsser “Bulls Eye 1-2-3” primer. This is a 16oz. white spray primer.
In the course of our work we often spot prime some of our parts when required. The product we use is Zinsser “Bulls Eye 123”. It is a stain blocker/primer in a 16oz. spray can. This morning an employee of ours was shaking the can as directed by the manufacturer’s application label only to have the can explode in his hand. Metal from the can pierced the side of his hand with a rather deep laceration. Medical attention was required and administered immediately at the local emergency room. There is a high risk infection as paint entered the wound and will need to be monitored through follow up visits. We still have several more cans of this paint that we will dispose of as they are of the same manufacturing batch.
