The product, in the report: 5 Gallon Velspar paint white

The consumer stated that she has purchased a 5-gallon bucket of white paint that is causing her to have health symptoms. She feels that the strong fumes derived from the paint are causing her to feel the way she does. She is experiencing concerns with her ears, nose and throat. The consumer is suffering from is an issue with her ears and feels as if her glands are swelling. In addition to that, the consumer has a stuffy nose and her eyes are red and itchy. the consumer also has tightness in her chest.

The consumer purchased the paint on October 24, 2011 and the paint was applied to her home the following day. The paint was applied to her home in the foyer, living room, dining room and bathroom. The consumer lives in a 2 floor home and initially tried to avoid contact with the paint. In the two floor home, she occupies the upstairs away from the rooms that have the paint. The consumer called the firm and the retailer this morning about the paint and both stated that they would call her back to discuss the issue.

UPDATE: I am faxing the report to you with appropriate corrections. I am still experiencing chest tightness when I visit the painted area for any period of time. On Friday, October 28, 2011, I spent 9 hours in the emergency room due to chest tightness. Medical tests were run, there was no indication of heart problems, The area in this apartment was painted on October 25, 2011, that is 13 days ago. I am deeply concerned about the chemicals in this paint. Representatives from Valspar have been very reluctant in providing a material data sheet. My son cannot return tot his apartment and my grandchildren are not allowed in thie apartment because of the toxic fumes. I am looking for any agency that can address this matter in an expeditious manner. A hard copy of the requested form will be mailed to you. Thank you fo your attention to this matter.
