The product, in the report: All-purpose cleaner with bleach.
The consumer reported experiencing the same issue with this product for approximately two years. According to the consumer, the product is unsafe due to an alleged design defect in the bottle. The consumer stated that the upper portion of the bottle is too thin and tends to crack when bent during normal use while applying the cleaner to a surface.
As reported, once the bottle begins to crack, the liquid leaks from the container and may result in a significant spill of the bleach-containing product. The consumer expressed concern that this design issue presents a potential safety hazard.
The consumer indicated that they previously contacted the manufacturer regarding this matter and were informed that the complaint would be forwarded to the appropriate department. However, the consumer remains concerned about the product’s safety and contacted the agency because they believe the issue warrants further review and possible investigation by the federal government to determine whether corrective action is necessary.
