Hurt, no treatment Made Mar 26, 2021, sent to the company Apr 5, 2021, published by CPSC Apr 19, 2021
The product, in the report: Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover (manufactured prior to 2020) Model A004627873
I sprayed Folex spot remover on some spilled soy sauce. My 11 yr old granddaughter wiped it up with a clean damp rag and immediately experienced burning and redness on both hands. I contacted the company for an ingredient list in order to treat the reaction properly and was denied any information due to the “proprietary nature” of the product. Additionally, they deflected by saying it was not poisonous or toxic and that they have fulfilled their duty by including a “Keep out of the reach of children” warning on the bottle. Owner stated that he has bathed in and drank this product and nothing ever happened. I repeated multiple times that I just wanted to be sure I was treating the reaction safely by rinsing with water since the company fails to disclose any ingredients on their packaging or website regarding products manufactured prior to 2020. He even went so far as to question the contents of the bottle being his product! This company should be held to a standard in order to ensure the best chance for safety to users. Instead he deflects and blames the victim.
