The following product Fabuloso obviously has some massive side effects. Ive seen the recalls, but when I walk into a restaurant, I dont want my food to taste like this nasty stuff. Its disgusting. It gives me the many people. I know an instant headache. I think it should be banned. I dont think any restaurant or grocery store should be allowed to use this stuff in America smell sensitive. People should not have to succumb to this nasty headache, causing bacteria infested non-regulated product! I think there should be more testing done on the effects of this poison!

The product, in the report: Fabuloso This is a multi-purpose cleaner that is colored, packaged, and labeled in a way that makes it too easily confused with fruit drinks designed for children. The 56 oz. bottle
I did not purchase or use this product, however I am concerned that it will cause harm to someone. The product is packaged so that it appears to be fruit punch, is colored and labeled in a way that would be attractive to children. It is a cleaning detergent and is toxic. Fruit is pictured on the labels. The name, Fabuloso, just sounds like fabulous and does not indicate what it is. I came across this while clipping electronic coupons for Publix. This coupon was also alongside a potato product that is clearly designed to be a childrens food item. Unsuspecting parents could pick up both items together for their children especially if the cleaning fluid was on an end cap and not shelved with the household cleaning products.

I used the product, Fabuloso, one time at my place of employment, per their new cleaning protocol recommendations. This was the first time me using this product and immediately I started to get a headache, then coughing and itchy throat. I then started to feel nauseous and dry heaving. I took a shower immediately when I got home, and the next day my throat and lymph nodes were swollen. I got sick a week later with an ear infection which I had not gotten since I was a child. I also was having sore throat and sinus issues. After a full round of antibiotics, I still remained with fluid in my sinuses and behind my ear. Now, My throat and lymph nodes have been inflamed and sore again. After doing a little research, I found that this product was recalled last year for containing a bacteria that was causing infection in people using it. With all this information, I believe this is an unsafe product and still containing harmful ingredients that made me sick.

Recently, while shopping at the local grocery store, I noticed what looked like a display of grape and lemon juice, on the endcap of the cleaning aisle. Plastic bottles, almost identical to [REDACTED] grape juice or [REDACTED], had labels with slices of fruit and Refreshing Lemon in the center. Coming closer, I saw it was Fabuloso cleaning products. The potential dangers of this packaging/labeling are obvious. Looking at the CPSC site, I see that there have been reports going back to 2012, of labeling concerns, including the 2015 report of a woman who went to the ER after having mistaken the product for fruit juice. Yet, in 2024, the product labeling not only remains, but has gotten worse. Fabuloso is now partnering with the Secret Candy Shop and sells a Varity Pack on Amazon, in a pretty pink candy box along with a free Secret Candy Shop magnet (see attached). This is an accident waiting to happen. The EPAs Revised August 2017 Label Review Manual states that Unacceptable Graphics and Symbols (for pesticides) include Pictures of candy. Similarly, containers that look like food or candy are prohibited (16-5). Should this not be the same for toxic cleaning products? Please take action before a tragedy occurs.

Hi, I was recently shopping in Home depot, and noticed the product ‘Fabuloso’ in a large display near the front of the store. Thinking that it might be a summer drink due to its bright purple color in a clear bottle. when I got closer to the items, I hen saw a smaller 2nd line on the label ‘multi-purpose cleaner’. while looking over the product, I thought- this would be quite tempting to a young child looking for a drink of fruit punch (as those drinks come in bright colors, and similar type of packaging). I thought, ok there must be some type of child resistant cap on the bottle to protect children from drinking the cleaner, thinking they’re going to have fruit punch. but no, it’s a regular screw on cap, and instead they’re drinking a cleaning product. this was just an observation while I was shopping, no one attempted to open or drink the liquid. I did not purchase the item. I’m reporting this for your review to help prevent a child’s medical issue if they might drink it.

I become very weak and dizzy when I am in a store, office, or church where Fabuloso has been used to clean the building, probably the floor. My office was cleaned on a Tuesday. I only go to the office on Thursdays. I walked by the area with tile floors. I had to lean on the wall for support and could not walk straight. The office manager contacted the cleaners to instruct them not to use Fabuloso. I had an allergic reaction twice at the grocery store where I usually shop; getting very weak and unable to stand up straight or walk straight. The clerks could not answer my question about what cleaning products are used. I emailed the store but I received no reply. I went to a different grocery store and my reaction was almost as bad. Every time my strength returned when I went outside. I no longer go inside grocery stores but I am trying to shop online. Since the reaction kept getting worse with each incident, I worry that something is accumulating inside my body. I have to go inside the grocery store to get my prescription medicine but I only stay in a few minutes and I have not had a reaction. I also had bad reactions several times at my church and the pastor has asked the cleaners to stop using Fabuloso or to dilute the product.

I have been using Fabuloso for years and I had breast cancer reconstruction surgery 9/6/22 and within 2 weeks I developed pneumonia 9/20/22. A few weeks went by and I started to notice a discharge from my right breast incision and went to my Dr (9/29/22) and they did a culture and was given antibiotics (it came back for Pseudomonas Aeruginosa) On 10/10/22 another culture was done because the antibiotics were not working and again results were positive for Pseudomonas Aeruginosa {All the while I have been continuing to use Fabuloso to clean my floors throughout my house). 11/15/22 I developed cellulitis of the right breast, I was admitted into the hospital with IV and on a very strong antibiotic, after a week I was sent home with a Picc line for 5 weeks and a home health nurse. 12/16/22 Picc line removed, 12/22/22 I saw my dentist and they cut my cheek by accident and on 12/24/22 I developed cellulitis again, My Dr prescribed antibiotics and informs me that if cellulitis occurs again they will need to remove both breast implants and flush breast pockets with antibiotic etc. plus replace both implants new ones ( meanwhile I’m still using Fabuloso product). 2/5/23 I started showing signs of cellulitis,after getting a cut on my finger and than using the Fabuloso product to mop the floors, but this time the infection had also spread to the right lymph nodes and I was admitted into the hospital for emergency surgery, both breast implants were removed and breast pockets flushed out. 02/09/231 saw a recall for Fabuloso product that may contain Pseudomonas bacteria, and it affects people with weakened immune systems causing them to have risks of a serious infection that may require medical treatment.

Started using a product- Fabuloso Cleaner- August 2022-January 2023 - Fabuloso is a cleaning product and was used following the directions on the bottle. I purchased it from Wal-Mart an [REDACTED] Stores. I was using the product. Became fatigued in August and hired a mother & Daughter team to clean monthly to help. Over the months I gradually started feeling ill, fatigued, coughing, draining mucus, deep breathe, bathing was a chore, energy low- my days spent hours sitting & bed rest... After months of using the product Dr had been treating me for allergies . Dr visit Jan 2nd, 2023 DR said some kind of bacteria. DEC 2- was so ill thought I was dying. Had [REDACTED] plane ticket to spend family Christmas, New Year and grandson’s birthday in MI- Unable to catch my ride to SC to make Flight [REDACTED]: Fri, 02 DEC DEPART MYRTLE BEACH, SC 11:36am-DETROIT 1:36pm Dec 1st. - Day before flight to Detroit MI, I was ill, cleaning ladies used Fabuloso detailed cleaned apartment- (baseboards, ceiling fans, lamp covers, window frames/tracks through out the house, 2 Bathrooms walls, toilets, counters, showers/tubs mopped floors-- Kitchen walls, baseboards, counters, Small Appliances, stove, fridge, dishwasher, and mopped floor -Office equipment, walls, baseboards, window frames using Fabuloso Cleaner.) I quit using the product mid Jan.2023 and as of today 2/15/2023 energy is slowly returning, no coughing, no mucus draining, and able to shop for food with someone carrying grocery bags and putting away food, bathe, cook, and do light housekeeping. Still gaining my strength back...

I brought the Fabulous cleaner Lavender/Sparkling Citrus 99.9% of bacteria on 1/21/2023. I was in the Urgent care on 1/23/2023 for an allergic reaction given a steroid injection. That lasted until 1/28/2023 when I was taken to the emergency room. These cleaners was not put on the recall list but they should be. I was a normally ok 58 year old until I used this product. Now I am left with high medical bills and high WBC due to the steriods. I did reach out to a nurse with the company on 2/13/2023 still waiting for someone to reach out to me. Anyone who is using these products and have a low immune system please be careful.

I have been using a product for over a month and a half.. the product is : New 2X Concentrate formula Fabulous Multi- Purpose Cleaner.. barcode 35000530301 We bought this product at the Walmart store in Melbourne. It is a product that I use daily for my housework both in cleaning my kitchen, bathrooms and floors in my house. I am a person with undifferentiated autoimmune disease and respiratory problems from allergies. Since I used this product, I started with some discomforts: headache, a lot of sluggishness in the throat with white plaques, problems swallowing, difficulty breathing and swallowing... pain in the throat. the chest... swollen glands, cough, dry nose, ear inflammation and pain, pain in the throat, pharynx and larynx... acute fatigue... I don’t know what has been happening to me... I thought it was all because of and Now I find that this product has been withdrawn from the market for having some kinds of bacteria or I don’t know what to call it... pseudonyms of all kinds... this has caused me all my health discomfort. I have been in contact with this product all the time... in fact I cut my finger and that’s how I cleaned the house... it’s probable that I caught the pseudonomas in this way I don’t know... I hadn’t wanted to go to the doctor because I hoped it was the discomfort of allergies or the cold... but I’ve already had these symptoms for a month and a half and they haven’t gone away... what should I do...???

I have been using Colgate Palmolive product Fabuloso since it first showed up on cleaning counters. Never thought about that this product was harmful to me, my family and my pets. Hundreds of gallons of Fabuloso used for everyday cleaning of almost every thing I own that was recommended by the product itself. In the past couple of years up to yesterday I have been mopping my floors with mostly the Lavender scent Fabuloso even diluted with hot water, my son has been complaining about his feet being a burning irritating and redness on his feet so much so he asked me what ever you (mom) have used to clean the floors with is making my feet itch and burn! Ok so we had an argument over this! Now I have figured out what is also causing my house dog to like his paws and chew on them till they bleed! My son took him to our vet after the dog was lethargic and not eating. They couldn’t pinpoint the problem, prescribed an ointment to use daily..well it didn’t work! The vet said it could be anything but we don’t know what it is. With this Fabuloso recall I am sure that is what is causing his miserable experience..I am just going to use steam and hot water to clean my floors! Like I said this recall has been an issue for me! I am so mad that I used Fabuloso as have millions of people have also to clean with and not knowing it is full of bacteria that it down right DEADLY! I HAVE BEEN USING HOT WATER FOR ABOUT ONE WEEK AND NOW I HAVE TO COMPLETELY GET THE POISON OFF MY ENTIRE HOME. I AM A WIDOW WITH DIABETES TWO AND HORRIBLE ARTHRITIS PAIN THAT TOTALLY LIMITS MY ACTIVITY. I CANNOT AFORD TO HIRE SOMEONE TO HELP GET THIS DONE. (1/2023)_Within the first week of using the cleaner in her home, the consumer experienced a runny nose, nasal congestion, and dry eyes. Lastly, sometimes at night, her lips would turn blue in color, and she would be short of breath.
She initially tried over the counter medication, but her symptoms worsened over 4 days, 1 wk.
(2/6/2023) The consumer visited the doctor and was prescribed Azithromycin and several days after she started taking the medication, her symptoms began to improve. The consumer said Azithromycin is generally used to treat pneumonia or other respiratory issues.
I was not aware of product recall until 02/08/2023 after drs. visit on 02/06/202
(2/9/2023): She still has slight lingering symptoms of congestion and a runny nose.

I have been purchasing Fabuloso cleaner now for several years. I used the cleaner the morning on Feb 5th, 2023. That evening I started experiencing some pain in the rib area. After consulting with my doctor I have been referred to another to have xrays done. The cause of the pain is inflammation due to the bacteria from the product. I have asthma which is considered an underlaying lung issue. This product is not only unsafe but it also causes physical pain.

The product, in the report: I do not have to see it being used, but whenever I come in contact with any Fabuloso (Lavender Scent) it affects my whole body in ways I do wish on anyone. My body automatically goes into fight mode from this scent.
I am a nurse and every time I come in contact with Fabuloso (Lavender Scent) it affects my whole body in ways I do wish on anyone. I carry an Epi-Pen due to the allergic reactions I have to this product; for years I have been advised to avoid it, but it’s used everywhere now.

I was just informed that Fabuloso was recalled. I have 2 bottles on the recall list and I just threw away a bottle last week, that I purchased from the same place. My 15 year old son has had a terrible cough since December and after 2 rounds of antibiotics and 3 doctor visits has not been able to shake it. He has been vomiting phlem and blood in the mornings upon waking. Plus he has had strange infections in his toe and finger. This is the product we use to clean our home.
Now that I have been made aware of this, I believe this is what is what has been irritating his lungs and sinuses and I will alert his doctors immediately.

Fabuloso cleaning product doesn’t have anything on the label to immediately tell you it is a cleaning product; it looks like juice to the point where it is sold in the juice aisle at Walmart because the employees apparently also think it’s juice. (see attached photo). It’s a primary-colored liquid, has pictures of fruits next to the words ‘citrus and fruits’ on the label, has the word ‘soda’ in big letters, and smells like lemonade. There’s also reports of nursing homes where someone in a hurry could confuse this for a beverage: “Nursing home resident dies after being served dishwashing detergent”

Went to a party where they were cleaned with bfabuloso. Immediately got sinus irritation, headache, foggy brain, dizziness, pain radiating into teeeth. When they cleaned up at the end of party with the same diluted fabuloso spray, my irritation turned into coughing. The effects lingered for the next week as chemical bronchitis.

I purchased Fabuloso Passions of Fruit cleaner and used it a week ago. I used it to clean the floor. I started vomiting and felt sick for 2 days. I thought it was a virus of some sort. So, this Saturday I was cleaning some ceilings and walls with it and started vomiting. Dry cough, breathing backed up and choking. I had an inhaler from a while back that I needed to use to get breathing ok again. My throat felt like it was constricted and sore. My head ached and I felt just horrible. Didn’t feel that good yesterday and today I’m starting to feel a bit better. Although, I am out of the house today at work. I have never had problems with cleaners before so not sure what is in this one to cause me to become so sick. I think the product needs to be reviewed for safety. Thank you.

She was at home earlier tonight when she mistook the cleaning product with fruit juice, as did I upon initial glance. The product is red colored and has fruits including strawberries, apples, mangos, and oranges all over the label. It reads “Multi-Purpose Cleaner” in very fine print at the bottom of the label.

On August 1, 1913 I mopped my floor with Fabuloso, cleaner and my counter tops with [REDACTED]. Six hours later my son and pet became ill . My son slept near the kitchen floor, and my cats food station is in the kitchen . My son awoke coughing badly and lost his voice . His cough is still bad . My cat vomited for 5 days straight. I feel there should be a warning on the label warning people not to mix cleanser fumes. The room was properly ventilated , the cleansers were not mixed, I believe the fumes made them ill. I have had a mysterious cough in the past, and realized it is usually every time I Mop. My son does not have insurance, so it is problematic. I do not want children or seniors like myself to become ill. On Saturday 9/15/2012, I was washing my kitchen floors with Fabuloso Citrus Cleaner. As we have no children, the bottle was sitting on the counter incase I needed to use an additional amount. My husband remarked as to why I had left a bottle of juice sitting on the counter and not put it in the refrigerator. When I pointed out it was cleaner, he stated how would anyone know? I pulled a bottle of a name brand juice product from the cupboard and place it side by side with the cleaner. The shape and size of the bottles were almost identical. Additionally, the cleaner is a pretty red color, has a very fruity fragrance and the label displays large slices of fruit. Reciently we have red several atricles about children mistaking laundry products and dishwasher soap for candy. I believe Colgate-Palmolive might want to rethink the packaging and appearance of the Fabuloso before some child makes the same mistake and assume it is a juice drink as my husband did.
