The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Aug 10, 2023, sent to the company Aug 14, 2023, published by CPSC Aug 28, 2023

The product, in the report: Colgate-Palmolive Recalls Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaners Due to Risk of Exposure to Bacteria Lavender, 1 gallon, 035110043074

I am filing this report because of the injuries I have sustained caused by the recalled FABULOSO Cleaner (February 8, 2023) which was used by [REDACTED], Pearl City, Hawaii, in the building where I reside. The product was used almost on daily basis for cleaning the hallway floors, lobby, laundry room, social room, and other surfaces and areas of the building.

Despite multiple resident health complaints, [REDACTED] kept on using the recalled Fabuloso for months until June 15, 2023 when I directly contacted the owner and president of the company and threatened him with legal action for knowingly and flagrantly violating the law and subjecting the residents to the product hazard.

As a person with a weakened immune system and other health conditions, exposure to the hazardous Fabuloso cleaner has led to severe complications: from breathing difficulties and anaphylactic reactions, headaches and hypertension, to dizziness and blurred vision, strange taste in my mouth and nausea. Moreover, based on the medical examinations and tests, my right lung has been harmed, hence now wheezing, asthma, etc. that affect my life at all levels.
