The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Tandil Ultra Soft Fresh Linen Fabric Softener 80 Dryer Sheets 6” x 9” controls static cling Orange Box 7” x 4-1/4” x 2” with brand name printed in White and “Fresh Linen Fabric Softener” printed in white on a blue banner

While running the clothes dryer with a load of wet laundry and a Tandil dryer sheet inside, I smelled something burning in the house. I found it was coming from the laundry room. When I opened the dryer and removed the wet laundry, I found the dryer sheet flattened and melted against the right-hand grate at the back wall of the dryer drum. With some effort, I was able to remove the dryer sheet and then the sticky residue once the dryer cooled.
