  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jun 27, 2026, sent to the company Jun 30, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 15, 2026

The product, in the report: Biz Stain & Odor Eliminator liquid detergent additive 50 oz

We purchased two bottles of Biz Stain & Odor Remover liquid detergent additive from the self at Walmart in Hillsboro, OH and the contents has an overwhelming sulfur odor that burns your nose and eyes. The manufacturer cannot be reached via telephone from the contact line on their website (says the number has been disconnected) so I emailed their contact email address, which is the only other means of contacting the company. That was three days ago and I have yet to receive a response.

We stopped by another Walmart, this time in Circleville, OH, to purchase the product in hopes that they would have a different batch. This time the batch number was different but the odor was still just as strong. I called an employee over to report it to them. They acknowledged the same experience that I was having with the product.

I tried to call Walmart corporate to notify them of a contaminated product on their shelves but could not receive any assistance from their corporate line.

This product needs to be removed from the shelves from everywhere it is sold until there can be an answer as to what is contaminating the product. It literally smells like raw sewer gas and could be caused by hydrogen sulfide, which is a poisonous gas that could cause health problems for any consumer who will be using it.
