Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: 115 fluid ounce bottle, laundry detergent

The consumer used most of the detergent, then heard a rattling sound in the bottom of the plastic. As she poured some of the remaining clear liquid detergent out, she found plastic shards in the liquid.

Within the last 2 weeks, her skin irritation flared up and it may have been related to this issue.

3/16/2024: The consumer contacted the manufacturer by email and is waiting for their response.

I did not receive a reply from my written response to Proctor & Gamble, so I called their customer service. They took information from the bottle, including an embossed code on the lid (#334717 + #020021). After being put on hold a couple of times, the representative said the company would be sending me a $10 debit card for the amount of detergent I was unable to use. There didn’t seem to be any concern about health affects to me.
