The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: All with stainlifters free and clear

I purchased All free and clear laundry detergent at a CVS pharmacy located at [REDACTED]. The warning on the product includes the language “ If swallowed, drink a glass of water.” I’m concerned the product may be counterfeit. I’ve purchased athletic tape at CVS which is labeled latex free and I’ve had an allergic reaction. When I brought it to the attention of the pharmacist, they called a store manager to issue a refund, but I’m more concerned that the product may need to be recalled because it poses a risk to consumer health and safety.

The product, in the report: All with stainlifters, free and clear. 94.5 fl oz, 63 loads

I have been using All Free and Clear laundry detergent for some time after struggling to find a laundry detergent without methylisothiazolinone or methylchloroisothiazolinone. An itchy, red rash appeared on my neck and got increasingly worse over the course of a couple weeks. I work from home and have a fairly controlled environment so I ended up researching the ingredients on the products I use again and found benzoisothiazolinone being reported in the All Free and Clear Laundry Detergent. I called SunProducts and they confirmed they changed their formulation 6 months ago and it’s included now. There is now no safe laundry detergent product for me from SunProducts.

  5. Emergency room

Made Sep 28, 2015, sent to the company Oct 6, 2015, published by CPSC Oct 28, 2015

The product, in the report: All with stain lifters Plus+ with added whitening power Free Clear

On Tues Sept 22, my son complained of some itching and broke out in a few hives. By Wednesday morning they were all over his back and chest. Wed. I took him to the doctor and was sent home with a [REDACTED] plan. Wednesday afternoon the hives cleared up. Then Thursday night they cam back with a venegence. They were all over his back, chest, stomach, and we’re moving down his arms and legs. We talked to a 24 hour nurse and ended up in the ER. He received a steroid IV. They also sent him home with an epi pen because this reaction was so severe they expected the next time to be much worse. We have been racking our brains trying to figure out what caused the reaction. Then tonight I noticed that the laundry detergent we use All Free Clear had added Plus+. I went on line to check out the difference in ingredients of the All Free Clear ( that we have used for 17 years) and this new All Free Clear Plus+. I didn’t find a list of ingredients but I did find review after review of incidents that have occurred just like ours. People use this product because they have allergies and it is causing severe allergic reactions. Check it out at www.sunproductscorp.com.

The product, in the report: ALL laundry detergent pod

3y10mo male bit into an ALL detergent pod. Poison control was called and they said to call back in an hour. Patient became sleepy and began coughing. Dad put him in the car to go to ED. On the way, he started hearing audible wheezing, was more lethargic and had perioral cyanosis. He began drooling and vomiting. He was admitted to the hospital for observation and upper endoscopy the following morning. He was noted to have mild proximal esophageal irritation, no mouth ulcers. Patient was started on medication and will be followed by GI clinic.
