The product, in the report: 1 gallon jug of Muriatic acid, product #710G1, UPC 076542000563, lot c
I have been using muriatic acid to adjust the Ph in my swimming pool for over 10 years. The 1 gallon jug of Sunnyside product #710G1, UPC 076542000563, lot ID 19190, appears to be significantly different from any product i have previously purchased.
When I opened the container, there was visible “smoke” coming out of the jug which I have never seem before.. When I poured 8 ounces into a half gallon plastic measuring cup and held the cup at waist level, there was an atypical powerful smell and a burning sensation in my nose.
I contacted Sunnyside and explained my concern that the contents of the jug might be the incorrect concentration or the incorrect chemical. They asserted it was impossible for their product to be defective.
