The product, in the report: Pure Lye Bead Size Drain Opener Industrial Strength Contents: 1 lb White and green pill-bottle-style container
Last night I suffered second degree burns on my chest when Comstar Pure Lye Bead Size Drain Opener ejected from my kitchen drain while I was using the product as a drain cleaner. I suffered these injuries despite reading and following the use instructions before using the product to clean my drain. After pouring hot water into the drain, I, after about a minute, poured one cup of the product into the drain. Lye almost immediately ejected from the drain, hitting my chest. I immediately jumped into the shower to rinse myself off, but I still suffered second degree burns.
