How badly anyone was hurt

  • No one hurt 2 CPSC: Incident, No Injury

As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. No one hurt

Made Aug 9, 2016, sent to the company Aug 17, 2016, published by CPSC Aug 31, 2016

The product, in the report: Blue bottle of Pro-Strength Liquid-Plumr Urgent Clear with red child safety cap. 17 Fl oz.

Unused and never opened bottle of Pro-Strength Liquid Plumr Urgent Clear leaked out of the red cap, solution has run down the back of the bottle and left damage on the shelf floor. The bottle was leaning back in in an under-counter cabinet. The back of the cap is covered with crust, one side of the back label has disappeared. The UPC code is illegible because of the damage on the bottle. I called the recall number for Liquid Plumr and was told that this lot was not part of the current recall. The only visible numbers on the back are: JS15313 and DH-2 22:44.

  2. No one hurt

Made Jul 14, 2016, sent to the company Jul 22, 2016, published by CPSC Aug 9, 2016

The product, in the report: The container size was about a quart to two quarts. I believe it was gray and definitely Liquid Plumr. The clerk in the hardware store recommended the product.

Just after purchasing Liquid Plumr, I placed the Liquid Plumr bottle on the front passenger seat. After making several other stops, I noticed the damage to the passenger seat. The product had leaked out and there is a six inch long, one inch wide hole along the stitching in the seat. I got a pair of work gloves and threw the container in the garbage so no one would touch the leaking container.
