The product, in the report: Flow Easy Drain Opener, FE20

The sink in the bathroom was backing up. My husband pulled the trap and pipes under the sink and tried to look for a plug in the pipe. He then tried to snake the drainpipe in the wall. From there, he and I went to Ace Hardware in [REDACTED] and purchased the Flow Easy Product. The packaging says, “Environmentally Friendly and Consumer Friendly.” With gloves and glasses in place, he poured some of the product in the drain (about 4-6 ounces) enough to fill pipes under sink. He could hear it trying to work. He decided to check the pipes for leaks before continuing, because it is a new vanity. He got down on his hands and knees and looked into the vanity and tightened the J trap, etc. In that minute, the Blow Back occurred from the drain in the sink.

I was standing back behind the sink about 5-6 feet away and was sprayed as the drain cleaner erupted. I ran to the kitchen to wash my face as that was the immediate pain, and then realized I was being burned in the chest, arms, and legs. My husband came to wash off his back where he was burned.

The new vanity counter is ruined, the drain is ruined, the rug is ruined, the shower curtain and liner are ruined.
