The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Dec 31, 2025, sent to the company Jan 6, 2026, published by CPSC Jan 21, 2026

The product, in the report: Drano shipped through Amazon, not labeled or protected in a box

Drano shipped through Amazon, not labeled, leaked, causing burns and skin damage - according to reviews they ship it leaking all the time

UPDATED ON 2/17/2026: [I forgot to finish why I disagree with the response by Drano, as Drano told me to destroy both Box 1 and Box 2, which Drano shipped with no label and no packaging correctly within 2 days. The pictures speak for themselves. I spoke to Drano and the nurse. I have that email.

Box 3 is [REDACTED], another product delivered open and dripping, and then recently they shipped another product, not packed or with warnings. Amazon has to approve the review of the products as they ship them, under both Drano and [REDACTED]. Numerous reviews indicate the same fact pattern as mine. So they are on notice that they are putting dangerous, unsafe items. The response from Drano is completely false and I can sent that email.]

The product, in the report: Drano Power Foaming Liquid 17oz in black plastic bottle.

I purchased a bottle of Drano Power Foaming Liquid from Home Depot on 5/29/12. Product was removed from the bag on 6/4/12 and was wet. Chemical contents had leaked out of the bottle and spilled on my wife and I, and our clothes, when it was removed from the bag. I found that the lid was not tight and WOULD NOT TIGHTEN. I tried to inform people about the potential safety risk on Home Depot’s website through a product review, but their people wouldn’t let my review post and despite their claim that someone would contact me to discuss this, no one has.
