The product, in the report: Stik Tek Clear Packing Tape, sold by Harbor Freight and Tool in a 3 pack. Unfortunately outer packaging was immediately thrown out upon opening the 3 pack of tape and there is absolutely no bar/upc codes, etc. Inside the tape rolls, only says Stik Tek Inside the roll. No Mfg date, etc. Nothing.

My Husband purchased a 3 pack of Stik Tek clear packing tape from Harbor Freight and Tool. I have used it about 5 different times now and each time I’ve used it it has made me feel really sick, as well as my dog. It smells extremely strong of chemicals, a very strong formaldehyde smell to where I can literally taste it. Not only this but each time I’ve used it it’s caused my throat to suddenly feel scratchy causing me to cough, my dog as well.. we’ve both been coughing from it every time I’ve used this tape. I used it again today and the same thing, makes me and my dog sick. I’ve worked in a warehouse for years before, never have I used packing tape that smelled so strong of chemicals where I could taste it and it made my throat scratchy causing me to cough and feel sick. I just contacted Harbor Freight to tell them and unfortunately the CS Representative didn’t even ask to take my name or phone number. She apologized for my experience with the product and said that she would let her quality control team know but I feel if she was going to take it seriously she would’ve and should’ve taken my name and number in case they have any other questions or do in fact find something concerning with the product. There’s definitely something not right with it. When I asked her if there’s a data sheet of chemicals in the product, she said there is not.
