Hurt, no treatment Made Jul 13, 2023, sent to the company Jul 17, 2023, published by CPSC Jul 31, 2023
The product, in the report: PF Harris 30% vinegar concentrate fluid in a 128oz bottle.
I purchased a gallon of Harris 30% concentrated vinegar around June 12th of this year from The Home Depot at [REDACTED], Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. The smell of it is strong, almost overwhelming and made me feel ill, I use it for laundry, to mop, and to clean appliances. This is not a reaction to another product as it smells that badly out of the bottle and I did not mix it with anything other than water. I am near positive that it is acetaldehyde from improperly finished vinegar and I am worried that it has caused permanent damage and also worry that others have been exposed. I will also be contacting the brand by email and the store by phone about the issue. I am not sure whether to put exposure location as the store address or my home so I put the store address here and my home address as the location where exposure happened.
