  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Mar 22, 2025, sent to the company Mar 26, 2025, published by CPSC Apr 9, 2025

The product, in the report: Product Name: DIY Home Mold Test Kit Mold Test Kit for Home, Mold Air Test Kit, 10pcs (as labeled on the box) Seller: Sold through Amazon labeled as Made in China Product code on box: X004HSXPI1 Problem Description: I purchased this mold test kit to detect potential mold in my home. However, upon opening the sealed package, I discovered that the petri dish already contained visible, active mold growth insidebefore I had even used it. This means the test kit was pre-contaminated, making it useless for testing and posing a serious health hazard by exposing me and my household to mold spores. This is especially concerning because the kit is marketed as a health safety product. Instead, it exposes customers to dangerous biological contaminants with no warning. It was sealed, so the contamination occurred during manufacturing or packaging. This product is a clear violation of safety standards and could cause harm to individuals with respiratory conditions, allergies, or compromised immune systems. It should not be on the market in its current condition. Where Purchased: Amazon (online)
