The product, in the report: Yellow Substrate Adhesive

The fire marshall says a contractor was applying adhesive on roof with his assistant. The fire marshall says there was a static spark when the assistant heard a pop. when he turned around the roofing contractor applying the substrate was enguled in flames. The fire went out on its own. The fire marshall says that there were vapors hovering over the adhesive and the container was still enflamed. The fire marshall determined it was a “flash fire”. The fire marshall says that based on his investigating the area, there was no other possible source of ignition. The consumer was not injured and did not need any medical attention. The contractor contacted the manufacturer’s representative who offered no suggestions to resolve the issue with the can. the fire marshall believes that this product is mostly commercial but can be purchased by anyone.
