  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Oct 14, 2025, sent to the company Nov 6, 2025, published by CPSC Nov 26, 2025

The product, in the report: Angle grinder (power tool) with metal grinding disc. The product was used for basic grinding on metal. During first use, the disc shattered and fragments flew outward, causing injuries. Color: black and yellow. Size: handheld, about 10 inches long.

I purchased an angle grinder from TEMU, branded Utectii and manufactured by Shenzhen Shiyi Maotong Keji Co., Ltd. During the first use, the grinding disc exploded like shrapnel, striking my abdomen and causing multiple wounds and pain even through my clothing. If the fragments had hit my face or eyes, the injuries could have been catastrophic. This accident caused severe physical pain and psychological trauma, including ongoing fear and anxiety about using similar tools. I have attached photos of the injuries, the broken tool, and the TEMU order.
