No incident, no one hurt Made Mar 26, 2026, sent to the company Mar 31, 2026, published by CPSC Apr 14, 2026
The product, in the report: Cordless Car Buffer Polisher w/ 2x2000mAh 21V Batteries, 6 Inch Car buffer Waxer Kit, Car Polishing Machine w/ Extra 18 PCS Attachments & 6 Variable Speed, Car Buffer Polisher for Car Detailing (Blue)
I was using this cordless buffer/polisher on my car for about 20 min when I noticed the engine housing was hot. I turned it off and set it down to take a break, and noticed that the motor was smoking - it went on for at least 30 seconds. The buffer was supposedly temperature controlled, so I expected it to shut off automatically well before something like that happened.
