Harbor Freight Bench Grinder SKU: 57285, Brand: HERCULES, Model: HE0511 New out of box ran at 16F to 190F on outside of case. Dangerous! I emailed Harbor Freight and asked to talk to a senior VP about this and got a stock email back. I returned the unit for a refund, then did not refund the shipping on a defective unit...I checked through the reviews and other have had this problem as well. This is NOT a one off.

Tool is An angle grinder is a handheld power tool that can be used for a variety of metal fabrication jobs that include cutting, grinding, deburring, finishing and polishing. The most common types of angle grinders are powered by electricity; either corded or battery powered. Model HE61S UPC 56435
1) An angle grinder tool purchased from a local hardware store caught fire during regular use. The tool began to malfunction, the owners manual was reviewed and found not to included information on potential any risk. Subsequently the tool was put back into use and it caught fire. A product review was submitted to the store web site. The store did not share the other persons that may purchase the tool. 2) The tool is a HERCULES, Model HE61S 7 Amp 4-1/2 In. Slide Switch Angle Grinder, SKU(s) No 56435, 120 Volt. It is a 4-1/2 in. grinding wheel, 4-1/2 in. Type 27 guard, side handle, arbor nut, and wrench. The tool was purchase new from Harbor Freight Store in Chula Vista, CA. 3) I ,[REDACTED] was using the tool as intended. 4) The tool was being used with a cut off wheel disc, as it was designed to be used. 5) There were no injuries. 6) See #5.
