  1. No one hurt

Made Feb 7, 2021, sent to the company Mar 1, 2021, published by CPSC Mar 15, 2021

The product, in the report: The blade is a Metabo HPT (was Hitachi Power Tools) 12-in 80T VPR Blade

I was cutting maple wood on a miter saw using a 12” carbide blade. The wood kicked back and the blade threw the piece of wood out of the saw. As a result nine carbide teeth came off the blade and bounced off me. I feel there must of been a defect in the metal for this to happen, after all metal is stronger then wood and this shouldn’t of happened. In 30+ years of experience as a craftsman I’ve never seen this happen.
