The product, in the report: Husky-brand residential grade electric power washer, Model 1750.

A fire in a commercial space being utilized as an auto servicing center and office, was determined to be caused by an electric-powered power washer. The interior sprinkler system activated which effectively confined the fire to an approximate 10’ X 10’ area. The power washer, particularly in the area of the electrical motor was largely consumed by the fire however attachments located within two feet of the power washer such as the plastic water supply hose and the spray wand showed little damage.

The product, in the report: Husky brand electric powerwasher 1800s

I have owned 2 husky electric powerwasher that I purchased at home depot over 5 years ago. I also own an gas powered by sears. The problem is with the lance on both the husky units. The lance has a red tip that is threaded but made of plastic unlike the gas powered one. I have used both units about 6 times each. The problem occurs when the machine builds up power that this red tip goes flying off. The tip and lance are made of cheap plastic that can’t withstand the pressures that it is designed for and causes the unit to be just a garden hose. I contacted home depot who directed me to husky directly. I contacted husky and told me that the unit was past the 1 year warranty. They offered to replace the lance for $30 with the same type but I refused to buy it stating that I knew for certainty that it would fail again . The problem occurred on both my units and rendered them uselesss. I was told that there was nothing more they could do .I told them they were selling a flawed and possibly dangerous unit. I was given additional info on the actual parts which I contacted via email to express my concern. I would like a complete refund and recall of the lance or replacement made of aluminum or metal and not some cheap plastic threading.

The product, in the report: Husky Powerwasher Model H 1600, electric, 1400 psi

I was using a Husky Powerwasher Model H 1600 to clean my patio. Without warning the spray gun separated from the high-pressure hose. Since the unit was still on, the hose was whipping around me and could have caused serious injury. The spray gun and high-pressure hose are sold as a single component and not designed to come apart.
