The product, in the report: EZ CLEAN 15 inch pressure washer pavement cleaning attachment MODEL AEZ31022

I am writing this in connection with your dated : July of 2011 Release # 11-281 Regarding Homelite Recalling Pressure Washer Surface cleaner attachments due to a laceration hazard. Model # on recall was AEZ231022. On July 24, 2012 I purchased a Model # AEZ31022 EZ Cleaner attachment from a wholesale outlet on Ebay. The unit was listed as “ used “ (open box) with all parts etc. When the item arrived it appeared to be in “like new Condition”, no signs of damage to plastic dome top and all metal fittings tight and in order. I didn’t get around to field testing the item until last week. I hooked my [REDACTED] gasoline powered pressure washer up to the attachment and started in to cleaning my flat ,broom- finished, concrete patio. In about 10 minutes the attachment had done a teriffic job of cleaning about a 6-8 square foot area ,gliding over the surface as smooth as silk. Suddenly, with out a warning, and no where near any obstruction, the unit gave a shutter and self destructed. One of the spray arms had detached and shattered through the all plastic top dome. I am happy to report there were no injuries or property damage, but plastic from the shattered top flew more that 150 feet, and it took an hour of searching to recover the wayward spray arm & nozzle. I have a healthy respect for pressure washers, and had carefully gone over the attachment and my pressure washer before starting out. Wearing work pants ,shoes and safety glasses proved to be a smart way to go. The instruction sheet lists Techtronic Industries North America, Inc in Anderson, SC as the manufacturer, not Homelite? The instruction sheet shows a date of 11-24-09 (Rev:01) Have there been any other reports on this model (AEZ31022) EZ Clean ? This model number did not appear on July 2011 Recall List?
