The product, in the report: Brute Power washer Briggs & Stratton Model 020629 Serial No 4000695533
I purchased a Brute 2800 PSI power washer at Menards in Cedar Rapids. I took the unit out of the box put it together (attached handle). I put gas in it started it and shut it off. After shut off gas was leaking out from the air filter box.
I siphoned the gas from the tank ran it out of gas put it back in the box (tool off handle). Talked with manager at Menards and he said he would exchange it.
I exchanged the unit for new unit. The 2nd time I used in 1 week later shut new unit off same issue leaking gas from air filter box.
Thank God the fuel line has a shut of.
I called Briggs and Stratton was told talk to Honda. Called Honda was told take it to a service dealer.
I think there is a manufacturing/design defect why would 2 units leak gas when brand new.
