The product, in the report: From what I can tell from the remnants, it was a Bauer 4-gallon Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer
A Bauer 4-gallon Battery Powered Backpack Sprayer was left in the bed of a pickup truck. The battery failed, causing the sprayer to catch fire. The fire then spread to the pickup truck and caused the vehicle to become severely damaged. The sprayer had liquid in it, however it had not been used for 24-48 hours prior to the fire. No one was home at the time of the fire and a passerby discovered the fire. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. Further investigation revealed that this may be an issue with this particular sprayer.
