A battery I purchased from Weis Markets exploded. It was a 9v alkaline battery, brand Weis Markets. The batter was not being used, and as far as I know, it was never used. It was just sitting on my shelf. The night before I file this report, I heard a very loud “snap” which came from the room the battery was in. I walked into the room, and found the battery in pieces on the floor in front of the bookshelves where it was sitting.
