The product, in the report: Swaller Battery Case for [REDACTED] 2020 4500mAh Charging Case Charger (Black) Model B8-H1
I purchased a Swaller Battery Case for [REDACTED] in early April 2020 from Amazon and received it on April 16, 2020. At first, it worked great but then it began having issues and not charging my [REDACTED] properly. On August 17, 2020, the button to activate charging also seemed to be stuck, but it was functioning. I went to bed and plugged in my phone with the battery case attached (as instructed to do on the product description on Amazon). My husband and I were awakened at approximately 4:15 a.m. on August 18, 2020 to a very loud pop and the bed and my pillow were on fire due to the backup battery exploding. I jumped out of bed and my husband attempted to extinguish the fire. The mattress top was still on fire because the backup case had melted into it. We had to pull the bedding to keep the townhouse from burning down and throw it in the shower to extinguish the fire. As a result, I suffered significant burns on my right middle finger and my husband suffered significant burns to his right thumb area and his right wrist. Our bed, side table, bedding, carpet and two walls sustained damage, as did my [REDACTED].
