The product, in the report: Battery for Sierra Wireless Overdrive Pro AirCard 802S
I’m reporting about the SIERRA WIRELESS OVERDRIVE PRO for Sprint (AirCard 802S)
I’ve been using the device for approximately 18 months, and sometimes I leave the battery in the device, chariging, via the cradle. Overtime I start to notice the battery start to swell, and it gets worse recently. I have 2 batteries, both from Sierra Wireless, and the lesser-used one also started to exhibit the same problem. After some reseaerch online, I suspect gas has started to built up inside the battery due to improperly-designed circuit or charging algorithm, which is a fire hazard.
I emailed Sierra Wireless about the situation, they failed to look into it but simply tell me to buy another one which I refused, because 100% of the batteries for the device has the same problem.
